I had a significant amount of pure silver to sell. I called several places in the Appleton area. Without naming names, the coin dealers, the pawn shops, and the jewelers in the area wanted to pay between $2-$3 per ounce below spot price (at the time $15.40). I knew that I could sell the bars for $1.50 below spot in Milwaukee, but I always prefer to buy and sell locally. I called Greg, and he was very kind, made an attractive offer over the phone that was much better than any offer I had received for the silver, and we transacted the sale in a few hours.
