I also received one la lueur candle from a Causebox shipment and purchased an additional one on my next marketplace shipment. LOVE the smell and quality of these pieces and really appreciate that they’re handmade. Reading the comments below, I would assume the owner is overwhelmed because they really are a great product and I can only imagine how many went out to Causebox shipments. That in mind, I also understand the frustration of waiting for a shipment and hope this issue gets resolved because the candles are the best I’ve ever experienced.
I wont use other candles after experiencing these! Ive been a returning member multiple times over the past year and absolutely love these! Never had any shipping or delivery problems. Such quality, elegance, and beauty with amazing scents! Great gift idea as well! Cant get enough of the white cactus fragrance! I will certainly keep coming back! Just ordered over $200 for the holidays for gifts and self! Grateful to Causebox for introducing me to La Lueur! Cant go wrong!
I have never had such an awful experience with a company. I have never left a bad review but I want other buyers to beware. I ordered the holiday ensemble on 11/13/19. I hadn’t heard anything about my order at the beginning of December. I called, emailed, messaged multiple time and have not heard anything back. I finally got my order and they subbed out the candle I wanted most because they were out of stock. Communication is key when running a business. I would have liked to have known that the candles I ordered weren’t available instead of just sending them to me. I will not be bruins that scent. Please take responsibility for your company. Hire help if you need it but don’t just leave your customers hanging. I found you through cause box which is an amazing company. You put their company at risk as well. A response would have been deeply appreciated.
Wow! La Lueur is above and beyond! These candles are phenomenal in scent and beauty! So pleasantly surprised by this find! Also wanted to thank the company for answering all of my obnoxious questions about scents and more! She was so helpful with recommendations and always prompt in response. Appreciate it so much! I received one of the candles in my Fall Causebox and thought it was lovely. I have 2 daughters that both love candles. I gave the one I received to one daughter and order another. Unfortunately after 13 days, no candle. It was to be an expected 3-10 day shipping. I’ve called and emailed and have not received any response. I’m chalking this up to I should have taken the reviews seriously. Really disappointed because I loved the scent.
The only candles that you will find in my household are La Lueur Candles. Not only do they make my house smell amazing, they are the perfect touch to my decor. The Owner is super friendly and accommodating. You wont regret purchasing, promise!
This company has atrocious customer service. I placed an order mid November, it arrived December 23rd with no contact from the company as to the extensive delay. It showed up not only damaged, but two of my candles had been replaced with whatever they had laying around (by the look of the damaged boxes they’d arrived in) due to being out of stock. Out of Stock?!! I placed my order five weeks before I received it. Why was she even selling these candles? I tried for days to get a hold of someone-email, website message, website chat, calling, and was completely ignored. When I finally did manage to get a hold of the owner she made up excuses. I even mentioned these poor reviews and that communication is key to happy customers. Again, she made up excuses for the poor reviews on here claiming everyone either received their candles or got a refund. NEWSFLASH Carly, customers want to feel valued and appreciated. Anyway, this has been almost two months of aggravation first trying to get a hold of someone to find out where my order was, to trying to get some sort of compensation for the candles I didn’t order and the damaged products I received. In the end, she offered me the bare minimum as compensation. Then, after all my struggles, she had the audacity to offer me a coupon off my NEXT order. As if. Like I told her, I’d have to be a fool to give her anymore of my money. Don’t be a fool. These one-star reviews are an accurate depiction of how this company operates. I’m not sure if these five star reviews are the company’s family and friends trying to sway the rating, but please take these negative reviews seriously. Purchase from La Lueur and be prepared for disappointment.
I received the White Cactus candle in my causebox and I love it! It is simple and beautiful and smells amazing! I love the graphic design on the outside, and especially love the gold interior, I think that really sets it apart.
Received a candle in my Causebox and really loved it. Ordered another over a month ago and still have not received it. I have tried emailing and calling with no response.
Ordered several candles through the causebox summer market. Two have misspelled words on the box (peonie and catus) and the other has a hair on it! So disappointed. Where is your quality control?
These are BEAUTIFUL candles at a wonderful price! I love them all so much! I will definitely order again!
I have to second the prior review. I emailed back and forth for a few months with the company (have all of the emails), was told multiple times the candles shipped (or were about to ship) and still never received the candles. I offered to pay extra just to get a tracking number and was told no need. I dont know whats going on but it seems I ended up making $137 donation to the company since I never received the three candles I ordered. I dont think I ever posted a review on a company before but hopefully this will save someone from the same mistake I made.
Be careful, I can confirm the previous negative experiences - order with the idea that you may or may not receive your items and you will likely NEVER hear back from the company if you have an inquiry. My order was missing an item that was clearly stated on the invoice, I have left a chat message, 2 emails and a voice mail regarding the issue and have not heard 1 word in response. Customer service is your bread and butter and while they may be overwhelmed with orders from causebox and other companies, this push is going to die down at some point and they will rely on repeat customers to stay in business, UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS WILL NOT COME BACK and the business will be short lived. If you have the time to block people on social media as commented below, then you have time to address peoples concerns by chat or email.Rant over, onto the BBB...
TLDR: They have taken an excessively long time to ship out my order (over a month and counting), and they have not addressed the multiple times I reached out to resolve the issue.I got one of these candles in a subscription box and loved it so I decided to splurge on a few more. Placed an order 12-31, and money was taken out of my account just a few days later. After 3 weeks, no word on shipping or reason for delay. I sent a very understanding email explaining that I understand they won’t be here in two days like amazon or another big corporation. A week later, still no reply. I looked up their Instagram and saw other people who’d commented sharing similar stories; I replied to a comment that it’s frustrating customers have to publicly air their grievances before they’ll address any issues. They disabled comments for the post on which I commented and still have not addressed my issue.
Online purchasers beware. I placed an order for a holiday ensemble set of candles on December 25th. I absolutely loved the candle I received in my Causebox and decided to order more! After emailing 3-4 times inquiring about my purchase, calling, and attempting to contact through their website, gave up today (Feb. 22nd) and filed a claim with my credit card company for a refund. I’m so so disappointed.
I love my Lalueur candles!! They make my entire home smell amazing & Once my candle is burned out I love to use the beautiful vessel for flowers.
I am echoing the two reviews below because the exact same thing happened to me and i was blocked on instagram when i commented on how rude the owner was about the situation. I ordered a candle in December for my best friends birthday. Candle never came, I let the owner know, and she said she would send me a second. when i didnt get the second-- i was frustrated and asked for a refund. She almost refused to give me a refund but i told her i would report to BBB and she gave me a refund for both shipping and the candle after she was incredibly unprofessional and rude. I do not recommend.
Buyer beware...So disappointing. Ordered a candle as a Christmas gift on Dec 7, paid $14 for shipping (!!!!!!!) and STILL. NO. CANDLE. When we inquired, we were told everything shipped and we should file a Paypal claim to get our money refunded if we wanted. What terrible customer service!! Not only did we get charged for a product, plus an insane shipping fee, that was never received (and do not have shipping/tracking info to give the benefit of the doubt) but we are treated as if its no big deal and now need to do all the leg work on making it right. To add insult to injury, we were blocked on Instagram for commenting our situation (just stating fact and not rude at all). Do not recommend.
Order a candle in January for Valentines day. Said 3 to 10 days to deliver. Never received a response back after emailing and calling. Ended up having to dispute the charge.
