Best small market so far on our coast drive (from SAn Diego). Great choices. Even some effort to curtail plastic (even though a Dude in dreads commented ‘so much plastic’ as he was going to the deli. The staff see and treat you like a person. Final touch was the high school homecoming parade!

Wildberries still has a lot of great choices. We came here originally in the late 90s and fell in love with their prepared deli sandwiches, local foods, and bakery. We were pleasantly surprised to see a lot of the things we remembered are still here - and of course we stocked up on a few of them. Wildberries is a great place to shop.

This is a nice local store with a variety of offerings, such as hot/cold prepared food, deli, flowers, herbal products, etc. Lots of healthy stuff mixed in with some junk food. Store is clean. Staff is friendly. Shelves are well-stocked. I can usually get in & out under 30 minutes for a simple stop & go which is a big plus. Good location, too.

Little grocery store that has a lot of natural or organic items for you. Alao there are many local brand here too (local beer, ice cream, cheese...)Price is a little high but it is convenient and staff is very nice

Awesome store. Great selection. They have everything ya need. Hot food, salads, groceries, health food items, some bulk items, and a coffee shop with an big selection of baked goods. This was my first time going there and I got a little of everything, some orzo salad, frozen goods, and some chicory root for my coffee. Get in there yall.

Great selection, impeccable customer service, open late hours, plenty of parking, public restroom(usually), lots of reading material(books, magazines,etc), quality household goods, lots of health& wellness items as well as beauty products. Many natural & organic items as well as conventional brands. Can pay PG&E bill here. Prices are a bit high, but worth it for the selection and customer service. They have an AMAZING deli that offers a wide variety of items including vegan and vegetarian cuisine. Superb meats and cheeses.

Convenient for students and other residents on the North end of town. Smallish but gourmet, enjoy a full deli (including Beyond Burgers) and Ramones delectable bakery and coffee inside. Worried about the prices? Understandable, but Ive honestly found values here where an item was priced lower than the chain grocery store, depending on what it was. There is a bulk bin section. Also a precious resource for locally sourced farmed products, as well as imports. You wont find the same selection at a chain store, of the same quality, and remember we dont have a Whole Foods in this county.

Certain things are a good deal here. Their fresh squeezed orange juice tastes amazing. Also, their enclosed, windowed patio overlooking the bay is a good place to relax and have a meal.

I love the smoothies are organic food at this store. The prices are very high but the quality is worth it. They have a good local selection of candles fruits and vegetables. Also arm warmers and hats from a small business. They could be a little better at disinfecting everything but overall I love this store

Bourgeois type market, I only bought beer and cheese. They make good mozzarella cheese for a decent price. Tall cans of Tecate & Coors type beer were affordable, craft beers a bit pricey.

Was looking for fresh fish & both just fish markets were closed/taking a break. Then we found this place & it was incredible! Its got a whole foods/new leaf vibe that we digg. I love that they carry local/organic stuff & is what Im looking for when Im visiting from out of town. The fish counter guys services was incredible!! Not only was his attitude amazing, he gave the perfect recomendation & even shared how he had cooked it recently. 😍 (Yes Im a foodie)

Peace, a short while back, maybe early last year, they offered the 100% alcohol free Heineken bottle beer in 6 pack or single, for about 1 month. That beer about 2 years ago was not known to me, it also exists in cans. The only other 100% alcohol free beer I recall is budweiser; The only place I ever found that sells them in singles. As a single at about 6 pack price, under $2.00. If you want vegan food the supermarket has a huge selection and fresh abundance of organic produce, and juice bar. Also a bakery exist there with organic coffee.Until March of 2020 when pandemic started, there is a redwood porch dining area enclosed over head with glass walls with tops of window walls able to open, with floor redwood beans with empty space between beams that allow cool and cold air to circulate inside from outside. For in summertime as sun sets, it looks out west and south west and gets hot in late afternoon, which really does not exist anywhere else I know of in Arcata, for its cold all year round, with an on ocean current from Alaska with year round 50 degree current flowing south in Pacific ocean, not seen from dining area, but a Majestic view of Arcata Bay exists to southwest about 1 1/2 miles away or so. The redwood floors are open space between the beams allowing fresh air in all the time. Expect it to cold early in morning. Dining area usually open to around 9pm, store opens 6am to midnite. Only one bathroom, so at times a short line. About 6 blocks from Humboldt State University. But I am turned off by the animal meat deli, though has vegan options, and am turned off by the offering of fresh seafood, not sure if any meat is sold there, like beef, or chicken, etc... But in frozen area will find wildlife meat, that started a couple years ago or so. As in Elk. Being a religious vegan and against being a junk food vegan, one should be able to feast on nutritious vegan food there like a human should, gettig the nutrients that keep such as covid away. Also a supplement area with refrigerated probiotics. And vitamins, minerals, amino acids and herbs and tinctures, and lotions, creams many handcrafted items and local producers. Has a hand washing station outdoors with soap and paper towels, bens for recycling, and constant cleaning of carts, and a greeter who sees that not to many are in store. Could use a self checkout. Music playing all the time in speakers. Sunday morning, usually live music. Be sure you take your receipt, for workers will challenge you, to prove you paid before leaving store. Too bad if you do not have your receipt and they ask you to prove you paid, for the store is busy and cashier will not recall if you paid, if your going to depend on the cashier to remember you paid. Expect to be wrestled to the floor before you make it out of the store, so train yourself to ask for the receipt, for they may not offer it to you, thinking you do not want it if you ask not for it. There is bulk food. Large display, but in pandemic, only workers can get the bulk food you want. Has bulk organic coffee, about 30 types, 7 distributers, mostly organic. Also bulk seasonings, some bulk tea and herbs. Expect high prices, but so is other places expensive in this small college town. I believe students get a discount. And retired aged, gets 10% off, everyday during pandemic. Otherwise only once a week. Prices 20 or so years ago were decent. But are always going up. I try to not shop there, cause being retired just can not afford those prices even with sales, and they do have much sales, about every month a new bunch of sales. Bulk oils, vinegar, shampoos, exist. Otherwise expect the workers operating the place to be delightful. And going out of the way to meet your requests.

Very nice grocery store with excellent quality fresh meat and fish at reasonable prices. Great cheese selection. The salad bar is fantastic. Lots of options and always fresh. The hot food options are nice, but carb heavy. Produce is of good quality but quite overpriced. Bulk food options are plentiful. Nice seating area to enjoy coffee or a meal. I find myself shopping here for meat, cheese, and some other items frequently, and obtain basic stables from Target or Safeway.

Staff is so friendly, and the options are great. A young man helped us at the bakery, his energy and friendliness was so welcoming and a nice change from how cold we have felt some locals treat us in this small town during this trying time. I really enjoyed picking up some delicious local kombucha and hot foods here, I highly recommend.

Wildberries Marketplace is a cornerstone of Arcata and has been providing healthful food To the community since theyve opened. They make fresh sandwiches and burritos in house. Wildberries also has an excellent juice bar and a cafe where you can sit and enjoy your delicious food.

I sincerely wanted to give this place 5 stars but before leaving the store I decided to use the bathroom since we were heading back to the campsite. The bathroom was so utterly gross I was better off at camp. The toilet itself had no toilet seat and was covered in feces. The toilet seat and the cover were on the floor next to the toilet. I hope the employees have another bathroom to use as you can not possibly wash enough to come back uncontaminated. Sorry I couldnt even take a picture....it was so disgusting I let go of the handle.

I dont go in often but I should. Wildberries has it all!! Great pastries, coffee, grocery and wine. The hot food options are expansive and always smell delicious!! Also, the people are friendly and helpful!

Personally my favorite grocery store of all time. The deli is incredibly well stocked with local fresh eats. Their made-to-order sandwiches are second to none. Their soups are house made and always full of flavor. Their smoothie/raw juice bar is loaded with the freshest blended nutrition one could ever hope to find.This place sets the bar for any grocery store that calls themselves wholesome food.

Standards for the deli have plummeted since covid. Soggy sandwich had them remake it and it was soggy again. I took this chance after my friend and his wife got food poisoning fron the deli the other day and welp, at least I didnt get that!

Good deli. Great little cafe area for eating in. Good selection. Nice that the store also has a coffee shop and bakery inside the store and a juice bar and salad bar... Lost one star because at times this little grocery store can be either too busy or the music too loud or both – but honestly, this hasnt stopped me from continually returning to shop or eat in.

A wonderful store with lots of organic products, lots of healthy food and probably one of the best places in town to get steak to take home and cook from. My one friend every time we went camping would always buy steak from here to bring with us. They also have things like great smoothies sandwiches cookies etc..

I didn’t get good service and I won’t return. Deli was aweful and gave me horrible food. I don’t know if the employee didn’t know what they were doing but they were aweful.

Well theyve got location and great employees...the juice bar is great. Other than that its highway robbery up in this piece. The hot bar has terribly unhealthy selection. Only the heaviest cheapest foods cooked in low quality oils. Definitely not good for your health. Produce is nearly double a fair price. Idk how they get away with it... Convenience of location really... Savages!

Wonderful local market. Most items are organic and locally grown. They have a great selection of produce and many unique items as well. I was visiting for our daughters graduation and they had lots of fresh flowers to choose.

I go there multiple times a day, as it is my go-to local market!They have good product, a great stock of local products, a great bakery and cafe (Brio) and a juice bar I frequent often for super healthy juice combos.In addition to finding all the vitamin and health products I might want as well as a solid selection of fresh meats and fish, they have a good top shelf spirits selection and beer selection.They also sell fresh flowers, local venue show tickets, and you can pay some of your utilities and other bills at their Customerservice window!! Very convenient.The staff is mostly very friendly and helpful and they often have great music piped in while your shopping or sometimes even live music happening!It’s very lovely socially, and a great place to truly enjoy your shopping experience! Kudos to Wildberries!

Worst customer service in Humboldt! I would give 0 stars if it was an option. My wife was wearing a mask with me and my 4 children and was confronted and told to leave by a terribly rude manager named Deborah because her mask was slipping down. ArcataCome for the food.Stay for the bathrooms.Theyre so clean !....The hot bar is reasonably priced. A hit and occasional misadventure. Gets a bit troth like after the dinner hour though they seem to have the leftovers problem nixed. Standing in a grocery store check stand line with a massive square ceramic plate of food is a riot. If youve never felt awkward in your life its a great opportunity. Oh and the staff is wonderfully chipper and friendly and .... helpful... Its surreal. You kinda leave buzzing. Check it out.

Everybody is so nice even the customers. If I could afford it I would be there every day for all my meals. So much delicious food to choose from. You can eat it hot or get easy meals to cook at home and seem like a Michelin Star chef at home.

I love getting juices from Wildberries. They can make a fresh cup of whatever you select off of their menu, they can make it custom or you can buy a premade juice.Ramones bakery is inside too which Ive never had any bad desserts from.The deli has a pretty nice selection of premade food for purchase as well.
