Before covid this place would be 5 stars for me. This was a good place to find really good deals on pants. The reason it gets 2 stars now is because they have not reopened their fitting rooms and have a no return policy. Maybe if they allowed you to return things that would not fit it wouldnt be as big of a deal. So hopefully they can reopen their fitting rooms again soon.
I love Thrift stores! Its my guilty pleasure! This one has some very nice clothing and furniture items that have potential to upgrade.Loved it!
By far, the best thrift store in DFW. I find the most unique items, including handbags, housewares, jewelry. I love the staff members. Ive been an almost daily shopper there nearly 10 years. If you havent been to Texas Thrift in Arlington youre missing a fun experience!
I like this store! I find some pretty neat things that I dont at other thrift stores! The prices ARE getting a little high since Ive started shopping here but! everything Ive found were in great condition! They ARE pretty low on cashiers though! 😅
I was shocked at the price of most of the items in the store. I found multiple items with the original price tag that were priced at retail! And some even higher! Why come here when theres a Goodwill, Ross, DDs, and similar stores nearby?
No dressing room. No returns. I dont know how people will buy clothes here. Prices have gone up here quite a bit over the past year. The staff was very nice and patient. There are better thrift store options in Arlington I know Covid protocols changed a lot for businesses. There must be some solution.
The place was nice and clean big variety of things for your home. The air conditioning wasnt working properly it was really quite hot . However I will be back to shop again.
Very well organized and th clothing racks were neat and sort d accurately. The staff was very friendly as well. Was a very good experience
I wish I could review the cashiers and staff that deal with the public separately, because they are five-star easily. This store, though, has lost its purpose to serve the community. The prices have, as others have said, skyrocketed recently, with lots of things being more than the retail cost at a store like Penneys or Macys, let alone Ross or TJ Maxx/Homegoods.They offer a standard, we have discounts.... response, but its still over priced, even with the discount. Out of date computing books - $13? More expensive than Half-Price Books across the street?I feel badly for the employees here - they are in a model, facing the public, where the people making the decisions are safe and secure from anyone affected by them. Its the worst of all managerial choices. As a result, though this used to be my go-to for a dropoff of household goods and clothing, Im taking everything elsewhere. Its not helping the community here, so Ill go some place that is.
This place used to be a good place to go, not anymore. After COVID became a major issue, they closed their fitting rooms, which makes sense for sanitary reasons, but theyve stuck to their all sales are final policy. So now you have to take a risk on every item you buy. Its a second hand store! Their sizing is all over the place because theyre selling loads of brands! About 1 in 3 items either wont fit, or will look bad when worn, which you now have to find out AFTER youve purchased the product, and are stuck with it.Also, in the past few months their staff have become absolutely horrible. Every person I talked to was curt, rude, and made it very clear that they didnt want to be bothered by customer interactions. One cashier was literally talking on her cellphone the entire time she was checking me out.If you go here be prepared to have an unpleasant experience and to waste your money.
Easter Sunday. It was open. Place was clean and quiet. Color tag sales going on. Found a 2 tier plastic storage bin. No price. Cashier gave me a good/ reasonable price. I bought it.
Everyone was super nice. I brought four items from (Kohls) brand and I spend about 75% off the regular price for quality, brand new merchandise. My husband purchased four pair of (never worn) Levi jeans for work at 15.00 a pair. We never thrift together. The experience was great.
This stores pricing is ridiculous. I am a collector of DVDs and Blu-rays, and familiar with thrift store pricing. On average at a Goodwill or Salvation Army you would pay about $2 for a DVD. This stores average price was between $5 to $6. I walked around and looked at the pricing of other home good items and clothing and found their pricing to be way higher than any other thrift store in the same area. Ive taken this store off of my list afstores to hunt in.
Used to be Great! New Management, Higher Prices, Pay the Employees almost nothing. Stores who get their merchandise free should be able to pay a living wage I think...also...They no longer do a discount for a good donation kwhich was the reason I came here in the first place :)
Love that theres 50% off orange and 30% off white tags M-F! On the yearly holidays like Labor Day, Mothers Day etc., they have 50% off everything!! A lot more things cheaper than Goodwill. Not many items in the furniture section but Im assuming that has to with donations. I must say plenty of clothes and shoes!
Its not just being overpriced thats an issue. There are NO fittings rooms and ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Nowhere is this return policy visible. Its on the receipt AFTER after you purchase. I would not have purchased these pants if I knew I could not try them on here AND not get a return if I didnt like how they fit. I even asked if they give store credit and they do not. Seems like a scammy business model for a place with clothing.I suggest seeking other thrift stores.
Sad the dressing rooms are closed for good. The lady told me they been closed since covid but I was there in the beginning qnd they were no closed. May not go back anymore. This was the spot. I loved getting my dresses there but if I cant try them on. So sad.
Not worth the drive! Not thrift store prices. I looked at a pair of Nike shoes with the soles falling off for $35. Damaged goods at 4x a Thrift price for great condition. No thanks!
Good selection and the layout makes sense. Prices are ok as well
I really enjoyed my visit I found some very good deal some beautiful brand new blouses silky like Im very happy about my fine
For a thrift store, the prices are getting a bit high. I started going there because they had nice, used items that were affordable. Like being at a huge indoor yard sale! Lately, the price tags resemble a regular store. $25 for a pair of used jeans with a rip in the butt area seems a little ridiculous, dontcha think? Staff is friendly though!
Everything is overpriced. I’m shopping at a thrift store not Marshall’s. Some of the stuff is sold at retail price or even higher than retail price. Greedy owners.
Nice, clean, organized, well stocked and great prices. Friendly staff. Great customer service!
This used to be my go to place on Tuesdays just to rummage around and look for tops, frames, or those things you just find. I once found a Chico sweater, brand new, for $5.41 that still had tags on it. But yesterday when I looked around, I saw a box of paper (20 packages) for $55.00, tops were mostly $7.98, books were now $2.00, and frames $4-12. I asked what happened and the worker said they had a new manager. The store was filled to the brim, about 6 shoppers, and no one was filling up their basket like I normally would see. Toddler boys jeans for $6.98? You can buy them new for that. Im done....not going to go back and thats too bad. it was a great spot.
My wallet was stolen at this location on August 9, 2021. I cant bring myself to going back, sadly.
THE MOST OVER PRICED THRIFT STORE I EVER BEEN TOO!!!!The employees are rude no one likes to help or greet you . The store has some good finds but there so over priced why buy them . I would rather go to Ross is that case! Like all the name brand stuff was tripled the price and the staff kept rushing everyone to leave so they could close every ten minutes someone got on the microphone to say they were closing and everyone needed to come to the front. Then had the nerve to ask us to donate! Like they wanted $30 for some heels and $12 for some jeans. I will stick to goodwill thank you!
Overpriced used clothes, bad management and extremely very rude staff. This thrift store is the worst as compared to others. Like...why will I buy a used pair of jeans for $16? When I can get new beautiful pair of jeans for $10-14 at ross....I will never shop at this location again.
Prices are unbelievably high. 10 for most skirts and 25 for some dresses!?? I pay that at Burlington and Ross people! Not at a thrift shop!!
I have to be honest I used to come here and find really good deals but just a few days ago Ive noticed their pricing has sky rocketed. This is Thrift people why would someone pay 12bucks for a pair of used workout pants brand name from walmart when you can buy them new for that price. They are slacking on cashiers open more registers standing in the long lines this place has recently been receiving is not worth my time. Be prepared to wait on line for 30plus mins on certain days/times. Im not sure what has changed but it didnt change for good. I probably wont be back until they can reevaluate the pricing and cashier issue, just not worth my time anymore.
There are cockroaches crawling around.....bugs! Eeeeeew. Selection also is not great, with that the prices are also very high too! Just horrible.
I love this place. I always find good things.
They do not ever plan to bring back fitting rooms although many thrift stores in Arlington have already brought them back within months ago they say they allow returns but an exchange is not a return give me a store credit, coupon a certificate but only allowing exchange is ridiculous and unreasonable Plus the prices are beyond unreasonable
Lots of clothes. Lots and lots of clothes.. All kinds of clothes. Fair prices I suppose. Not trying to turn up my nose, a good deal I cannot oppose.
They have went up on their prices. To expensive now. Pants 20 dollars! Just crazy, they get everything free.
Im not sure what happened to this store but after 15 years of coming here it has dropped considerably in customer service, friendliness, and selection the only thing that went up is the prices. I come in every week 2 times.and now I dont even care to shop there anymore.
One of my favorite thrift stores to shop. Good selection of clothing and linens, pillows, curtains, love love love curtain selection. Reasonable prices. Senior discount on Tuesday plus color coded select discounts at 50% and 30% everyday. Lots of shoes boots and purses which is rare at most thrift stores. Not much furniture or big items but for clothing its great. Open till 9pm for late shopping. My Only complaint is they dont take returns or exchanges so once you buy its a done deal period!
Lots of great deals on clothes. The store had lots of variety of everything. I thought the furniture was a bit pricey and the store was messy.
I’ve been here twice and I always find something nice, especially the blazers. I even found a Levi’s blazer in PERFECT condition for $5. What?!!!!!!! BeBe top for $3 😳. And 3 piece set, BRAND NEW for $10 🤯🤯 now you know why I always end up spending over $100 each time 😭🤣
Return policy is garbage and the workers are rude. No returns even with receipt. Wont be back to this smelly store.
This is my favorite spot to get new books for my kids. They are well organized and super affordable! The clothing is arranged by size so it’s easy to shop. Tons of affordable bedding as well. Not the place to shop for furniture but definitely a place for shoes, toys, clothes, and books.
It was nice & clean staff was helpful will come back and shop.
Really wasn’t a big fan. I’ve been here twice, the first time I didn’t find a single thing and the second time I found 2 vintage tops, but the prices are expensive for a thrift store. A lot of the tops were around $6 - $10. I’d probably pass on this one.
This place has the worst employees. Ive been here numerous times and I always walk out through the same door I walk in, the front door, NEVER had an issue. I bought some things, and as Im walking out I hear someone yelling. I look back and at another door across from me an employee is yelling. I walk off and hear her scream THIS IS THE EXIT, by then Im already half way through the parking lot. She walks out and yells at me WHERE DID YOU LEARN HOW TO READ. This is an employee talking to a customer folks. Can you believe it? I didnt even bother to get a manager. Clearly management is the problem. I sat in my car and saw her yell at another customer for making the same simple mistake. Unacceptable. You want people to exit from the right door? Stand by the front door and nicely tell them to use the other door. What a pathetic and unmannered employee. I will not be returning.
Got some great stuff! Friendly staff.
Awful, workers are rude. Take your money elsewhere.
Long line to check out about 30 customers in line... But every purchase I made was 50% off!
All thrift stores have started getting pretty expensive since being vintage is now in. I did find some things I was looking for for a good price.
Very good but long line
I wish they still have discounts for donations.
I propose this question: Why can a family of 2, 3 or even 6 walk into a restaurant sit down at a table and not have masks on to eat and that is okay. Are there social distancing rules in place for this family? No!! So this happened today in this store and I just want to offer a little piece of common sense at the end of my review:I have been to this store several times and I have never been disappointed until today. I have always found good items here and received exceptional customer service. Although today I went with two of my family members and as we were checking out, we were not able to stand in line to check out together due to social distancing. I understand that due to Covid people should not be close. I get that. I understand that if you are in a store with strangers then you should keep your distance. But today, two employees that work here, approached my family not in a business kind of way but a rude kind of way. Was my family approached with concern or in a calm manner? Absolutely Not! They were all but ordered to keep the 6 feet apart ((even though they were a shopping cart length apart from each other)).Today, both my family members had their masks on, mouth and nose covered, they were at least a shopping cart length apart, BUT were still ordered to adhere to the social distancing rule which is somewhat understandable given the fact of all the COVID mess. What I am disappointed in, is the fact of what my family experienced in your store today. Not because of being approached but how they were approached. If the 2 employees that pounced on them would have been courteous and nice in their approach, my family would have purchased items at this store. Nonetheless, they both put their items down and walked out.I know these 2 employees are probably doing what they are being told to do, but please for the love of GOD use some common sense and courteousness when approaching your customers. Do not make them feel like they are nothing or a hassle to you. If you smile ((even with your mask on)) and speak in low calm tones your customers can tell. They will feel appreciated and It can make a difference in the atmosphere in your store! Plus, you will have returning customers.
Asked if my card would be ran as debit, since my bank charges if it was done as credit. I was informed that since it was a debit card, then I would have the option to enter in my pin number. Guess what? The cashier ran it as credit after I asked😡😡. I will never come back to place, especially since its called a thrift store, but the prices says otherwise. Waste of time and gas
Prices are high, items are over priced for the condition.
I give this place 3 stars because I love the music carousel I bought from here but the disorganization was OFF the charts and the woman at the cash register had no idea what she was doing. She wouldnt sell me these hard plastic mask because there isnt a price sticker on them. Like who even knows how long theyd be sitting on a shelf with no price on them? I doubt they even do a product check, they probably just take whatever doesnt look/seem broken and try to resell it.What I dont understand is why she couldnt spend a few seconds and make a price for them. They are virtually worthless but I really wanted them for a collection but its fine-its their loss after all.
I just love this place cheap stuff friendly enployes love it!!!ive been coming here for years!!
Good customer service 👍 and I always find good deals
Had not been to this store for years. I was quite pleasantly surprised at how clean and organized it is. Old memory of it being pretty chaotic. Will definitely be back.
Gone kinda down hill. Use to be great store. Things are cheaper buying them new.
Ive been once and I liked it. I found some nice clothes, there is a huge selection! But the dressing rooms and especially the bathroom were super run down. It doesnt have to look like that just because people are shopping second hand.
Love it here. And Ms. Carol is the sweetest
I wouldve gave them 4 stars but theyre a little overpriced for a thrift store a pair of jeans is $25+
Was supposed to be open till 6 pm Sunday but it is closed, not even 5 pm now.
I literally always find something I love
Changing was fun to discover what want there now groceries and left over VERY disappointing
This thrift store is organized amazingly. Its super easy to find what youre looking for. They always have great, new items and are very well priced. Best thrift store in the area. The only down side is their bathroom is really dirty and some of the workers there are rude.
Excellent finds to be had at great prices... Many times they have sales of 50% or more off tagged prices...
Love this store! Always great buys. One thing I would say. Ways need more cashiers on sale day n weekends.
The workers are slow
The store is well kept. I went in to get some clothes for my new job where we have to dress business casual. I usually have a hard time finding stuff I like, but surprising I left with way more than I ever thought. The sizes are all very organized. This is my new favorite thrift store
My first time here and it’s The definition of big for nothing, couldn’t find any good things haha maybe just a bad day went home empty handed which never happens
Only thrift store where clothes cost retail
Good selection of clothes. BUT, there was the RUDEST manager on duty. African American lady with long salt n pepper braids. She berated a little old lady who works the register for taking too long in the restroom. OMG! I was horrified! Then she got in a shouting match with a customer. She was very unfriendly in general and has no business working with other people at all. In general, all the workers looked stressed out. A long line built up at another register with no employee there. She asked where the girl went. I was thinking maybe shed had enough and went home. I would have. And never come back! I posted this review then read other reviews that were posted in the past. There have been many, many complaints about the rudeness, the owner consistently adds a comment that they will address the issues, but months later they are still letting this lady run the store. Maybe shes the owner?
Typical thrift store. Good prices but always need to carefully inspect items before purchase.
Very clean, busy, good discounts. Good merchandise. Parking is good.
This location is very easy to get into and is well staffed they keep it very clean and continually receive fresh merchandise.
Its a bit pricey with not a ton of good finds.
Good selection depending on the day you come. Good prices.
Good selection, but hard to find stuff that isnt old lady for larger sizes
Quite a variety of stuff. Hit or miss on some of the prices
The shopping experience was great until we got to the check out around 5pm today. The cashier was quite rude instructing us to stay behind the wait here sign as the very end of our basket was barely a foot past the sign. Then the same cashier instructed us to take all the hangers off of our clothing whereas the other cashier checking out my friend at the same time did not make her take the hangers off her stuff. My total rang up to $60 and change so I gave her my debit card and she immediately asked for my identification and she said it doesnt match. I told her it doesnt match exactly because my maiden name is different from my married name. Ive never had an issue with my identification or debit card anywhere I go. I bought nothing, and will not spend two plus hours shopping there ever again.
Very dissatisfied. The prices are way too close high.
Their prices were ridiculously priced. I could find new stuff at Walmart or Target for less than what they had their stuff priced for.
A lil pricey to be a thrift store
Went to texas thrift friday I got kicked out because I am disabled have reported them the state. It is illegal to refuse service to a special needs dont shop here I would give them zero stars if I could.i hope they get fined they are horrible people
So everything was fine until I got to check out the lady that was doing my check out caught an attitude because we didn’t take the hangers off the clothes in line which there was no sign to tell us to do so and then when I tried to actually pay she said an I.D is required even though I was using MY debit card and I can’t drive yet so I don’t keep any of my I.D cards on me I find it absolutely ridiculous they refuse to take the money I am offering to give them
I love this place. I have literally spent almost 4 hours here. The selections here no matter the size needed is absolutely unmatched anywhere in Arlington. They also have the Better stuff behind the counter, always a great find there. I have never left there empty handed. They stay open pretty late so no matter how busy your schedule you can go and let off some steam shopping for yourself and not feel the least bit guilty.
Its a thrift store.
LOVE THIS STORE! The staff is great, huge thrift store so many great prices. WOW you have to go and check out all the amazing bargains. They put out so many items everyday, Staff works hard to give everyone a great deal. Thank you TEXAS THRIFT
Nice store. Clean. Was impressed by a much better than average plus sizes women’s clothing selection.
Great as usual. Practicing social distancing. Staff friendly. Some of the sizes were mixed up but other then that no issues!!! Missed them Glad there open!!!
They have a large selection of clothing well organized by size, but the shoes are not organized by size, making it nearly Im possible to find what you need. Several dressing rooms have no locks, hooks for hanging clothes hangers on, or mirrors. There is no public restroom. The prices are reasonable. There is very little furniture, luggage, outdoor items, etc., but they have jewelry, hats, purses, backpacks, linens, picture frames, dishes, books, vinyl records, and more.
Very neat and well organized. Items separated into sections. Clothing arranged neatly by size. Lots of good quality, name brand clothing. Reasonable prices. No public restrooms.
Great place to go for used stuff. Huge store.
