We shopped around town looking for quality wood furniture, and Slumber land had the BEST choices available in the St. Louis MO area! Their friendly staff was not overly aggressive in the sales area. They let us roam and experience the various offerings. We never felt pressured to buy. Mark answered all our questions and showed us many options when we were ready to zero in on our selections. We highly recommend Slumberland for your next furniture purchase.
Much better experience than I’ve come to expect from furniture stores. The sales person, Bob, was just the right amount of helpful. He didn’t hover, but he stopped by at just the right time to offer us helpful information.Many of the chairs, couches, and pillows can be customized free of charge, which is nice.
We finally pulled the trigger and purchased a new bedroom set. The store was clean and well organized. Purchasing was easy and fast. Our salesman was not pushy, but helpful. Will not be giving this store anymore of my service, which is unfortunate because it seems to have the best options around. However, both of my purchase experiences have been unpleasant. I purchased a couch/loveseat set back in February that was in stock. Upon purchase, the salesman told me my delivery location 30 minutes from the store was not within the free delivery zone (even though I showed him that I could select free delivery if I were to purchase online). Therefore, I had to rent a truck and pick up the furniture the following week. Upon picking up the furniture, I was told the store had a water leak that morning, but my furniture did not appear to be affected. When I got home, I unwrapped the furniture to find out the furniture, was in fact, impacted and the some of the furniture was damp. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt since the water leak wasn’t their fault and I was needing furniture and didn’t want to have to wait forever for new furniture to be delivered.Fast forward to April, I went back to the store and ordered another couch for a different room. I was told at the time of purchase that they had a specific number of couches that were promised by the manufacturer to be ready by the end of May, and I would for certain be getting my couch within the next 6 weeks. This time, the salesman told me that, in fact, my delivery location was within the free delivery zone and didn’t know why the last salesperson I worked with told me that it wasn’t. When the couch didn’t arrive by the end of May, I called to inquire about timing. This time I was told I would for certain receive the couch by the end of June. This happened several more times before finally my couch arrived in early October.Upon unwrapping my couch after delivery, I discovered it was damaged in shipping. I found three gashes that had gone all the way through the packaging and through the back of the couch. I contacted the store immediately. I was offered two options 1) receive a discount to keep the couch as is or 2) have a new couch ordered and I could keep the damaged one until the new one arrives. I opted to have a new one ordered since the couch was going in a location where the damages were visible. I was told that I had to pay the $99 delivery charge for them to come pick up the damaged couch and deliver the new couch once it arrives in *hopefully* April. I mentioned that it didn’t seem fair that I had to pay to have them remove an item that they delivered that was damaged during shipping. They stated the best they could do was take half the price off the delivery charges. But still, having someone pay anything at all to have a damaged product replaced is unreasonable, especially when having to wait at least a whole year to receive a satisfactory product AND when being lied to about free delivery on a previous order.

Great, low pressure sales. I was given plenty of time to look throughout the store and make my decision. They were there when I needed assistance and had questions but stepped back to let me think about what was best for me. Excited to get my new furniture.
Made a very large purchase, several items. New to area & was purchasing items for our new home prior to moving in. We were taking a international vacation for a month knowing we couldn’t take immediate delivery. Our delivery date was set for 9/24 & the sales rep even wrote it on our invoice. The day before we were expecting our delivery we realized we had not received a time frame so I contacted Slumberland directly. I was told we weren’t on the delivery schedule & was transferred to the sales rep. Our sales rep stated he was waiting on a call from us to set up a date & time. I responded he had given us a delivery date & even wrote it on our invoice. He responded “no I’m sure you were to contact me because you weren’t sure when you’d be back from your vacation & in your home.” Wrong! We knew exactly when we were returning that’s why our delivery was suppose to be after 9/15 which explains the written date of 9/24 for delivery on our invoice. It seems the next delivery date to our area is 10/1. We’ve been in our home ten days with only a bed; no place to sit or eat. Another seven days shouldn’t be a big deal but when you literally move cross country & have been living out of suitcases & in hotels for the past five months another week can seem like a long time. To top it off there were two items we purchased that weren’t considered “furniture” & when we purchased them we could of taken them with us but the sales rep put them aside to be delivered with the rest of our purchase. When speaking with the sales rep about the delivery date debacle he informed me these items couldn’t be put on the truck & we’d have to come by & pick them up. Why weren’t we told that when we were in the store, now another item for our “to do” list which could of been easily prevented had we been told. To say the least this customer is not a happy camper. Keeping my fingers crossed that when our furniture is delivered, it’s all there & in good condition. Good luck!
Ordered a couch, been waiting 6 months and counting, watched other people order furniture after me, from more able people/stores, and they got theirs weeks ago, they had to wait around 4 months because of the obvious issues worldwide... I still do not have my couch... talked to Mark about the money I spent and the lack of product I received, he then defended their lack of advocacy for their customers and capabilities as humans by saying some people have been waiting close to a year, as if that is an acceptable and good defense. Using other customers bad experience to treat another customer like an issue... Condescending and snarky customer service. If I could make this decision again I would never go here and once this transaction is complete I will never buy from this rude-entitled company again. In the future I will gladly pay more for competence and support the growth of better managed companies.

Im very happy with my purchase at Slumberlad. I went there after another furniture store couldnt give me a definite date of delivery, only estimated when they would deliver it. Slumberland not only had what I wanted, but also a better price. Delivery was great. They gave me a 2 hour window and were 20 minutes early. 😊👍
At first I was unsure of Slumberland furniture, thinking they were just another chain store, then we found out they are a family owned local business. After having placed an online order and experiencing out how incredibly nice Janey was in handling our online order, keeping me up to date and letting me know changes as to the delivery time, we decided to place an additional order. Janey put me in touch with Andrew who provided me the quote; My wife and I wanted to go into the store to validate the quality of the furniture and found out the quote came from a store further away from our house. Lisa at the South county location did a phenomenal job of helping us.She took our original orders and looked at samples in the store compared to photos of the space we were wanting to furnish in our guest house. Lisa helped us with colors and even applied a military discount to our order. In the end we spent two and a half hours with Lisa and got everything we needed for our guest house to be furnished.Way to go Slumberland thank you for making my life easier and the quality of the furniture was really great . . .much better than some of the other furniture stores we looked at around St Louis, who utilize composite or plastic type material instead of real wood. Slumberland shows that they actually do still use real wood these days!

I would give zero stars if I could. Horrible customer experience, I will never shop here again. We ordered a pair of couches in September, they arrived in December. They delivered 2 different couches and left. Admitted to never even inspecting the couches in the first place before delivering. They said we could use the incorrect couch until our new one was ordered, which was nice. It took another 6 months for us to get the correct couch we ordered 3 months prior. So in total 9 months. We asked if they could put our order at the top of the list. They said no it wouldn’t be fair to the other customers. We ordered these couches before everyone else currently on the list. How about it’s not fair they messed up our order and did nothing to make it right? So 9 months later our couch finally is ready. We schedule a drop off date. They said they will have to pick up the incorrect couch which we understand. Asked if we have been exposed to anyone with COVID in the last 14 days since they are picking up the used couch. I was positive for COVID at the time so they said they had to push back the delivery date even though they were dropping it off outside with no contact. We asked why they couldn’t drop off our couch on the scheduled date and pick up the used one 14 days later. Basically it was because it was inconvenient for them to make two trips. This whole experience has been inconvenient for us. We’ve also been making payments for a couch we don’t even have because they refused to push that back as well until we actually received the couch, which was in the payment contract we signed. They love saying they are a family owned business and treat their customers like family. They do not care about their customers at all. I am also 38 weeks pregnant so the new delivery date they set we might not even be home for. Do they care? Nope. This never would have happened if they delivered the right couch in the first place. So it’s currently been 9 months since ordering and we still do not know when we will get our couch. Let’s hope it’s at least the right one this time.

Robert was very nice and I was almost done purchasing my couch and love seat until he told me that they could only deliver to my house on Mondays. I specifically asked if I could pick the day of the week for delivery before we started the process. I work extra long shifts on Mondays. There was no option to make it work, so I walked away empty handed.

I went with my mother in law to get a couch today. Everywhere we went people was so rude and did not want to help at all. I had money to spend. We found this place one google and we went and looked. Charles s. Was our salesperson. He was super nice and very helpful. We bout a couch and ottomon and now my mother in law is going to go back and buy one for herself from Charles. He needs a raise. He is the best salesman.

I just purchased a TV stand today, Charles was very helpful as my request required a few days for pickup. To my surprise is very uncommon with furniture business. He was able to find me something that meets my expectations and I only have to wait two days. My crazy time frame was based on a previous purchase from Ashley Furniture, started as 1 month and then at the two month mark turned into at least 4 months as an estimate pickup date. Canceled the order and Slumberland provided me with what I wanted in a timely manner as long as they deliver. TBD... If you have lots of time and tons of extra money maybe Ashleys is for you. But for good prices and quality products Slumberland seems to be great for me.
I went to Slumberland for the first time today and was greeted by Ian. He was a friendly, informative, helpful, kind salesman. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him and purchased two pieces of furniture. The items I bought were exactly what I had dreamed of finding and Ian far exceeded my expectations of a sales person. I could not be happier and cant wait for my new pieces to arrive.

My experience at Slumberland was excellent. I bought a new recliner. The sale was terrific, as I saved 30 percent off the sale price. Ian Garner, the Sales Manager, waited on me and helped me pick out the material I liked best. The entire process was swift and thorough. Ian was great to work with. I will seek him out for future purchases. The only negative: the recliner is being built and won’t be delivered for 14-16 weeks! Not Slumberland’s or Ian’s fault.

Horrible place...John was my Sales person ( fake as can be) they delivered my 160.00 lamp to the wrong address told me sorry about your bad luck..and you tell.us know. They sent me a picture of where they deliverd my lamp I had to go track down my lamp and knock on these kind peoples door because of lack of common sense. They have my number, email, and correct address just no one wanted to call and ask for directions. So I went back and canceled the 1,400 dollar order that was still remaiming and went to lazy boy. I would never come to this place again

We had been to three other furniture stores before walking into Slumberland. Each time explaining our need for a couch with durability for our family (including 2 large pups) and limited space/size. We were consistently shown pieces which Did not meet our needs until we were introduced to Arlen at Slumberland. Not only were we shown 2 couches specific to our needs, I found accent chairs for my office priced lower than I had seen elsewhere. (We were in and out in less than an hour)Slumberland will forever be our first stop for any piece of residential or commercial furniture based on customer service, price and efficiency.

We bought a queen tempur pedic from Slumberland with no actual intent to buy one there. Charles was very helpful regarding the differences in mattresses. The information enabled us to go home and decide between two different manufacturers, and two different types of beds. The bed sold itself. The purchase was easy and terms were well explained. My husband and I ordered a bed and mattress in early October. In the store, we were shown a platform bed that did not require a box spring/foundation and chose it based on this feature. When the bed was delivered this week, we were told that it was not a platform bed and did in fact require a box spring. We contacted the store to ask about this discrepancy and it was suggested that we could return the bed and order a new one. As I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and it took 8+ weeks to receive the first bed, this was not an option. The manager offered to give us a $50 gift card that we could use toward the purchase of a box spring ($250+) and it would be delivered in 1-2 weeks. We chose to not give them any further business as we were misled on our original purchase and purchased a box spring elsewhere. To say that we are disappointed in our experience with Slumberland is an understatement. We will choose to shop elsewhere in the future.

We are always impressed with Slumberland! Weve purchased many pieces from the store and have always enjoyed them. When we wanted a reclining sofa in 2018, we went to the La-Z-Boy store first only to have the sales people joke about our budget being too small. We immediately returned to Slumberland, where we found the same brand couch for sincerely less money -- and our sales person (Charles) actually reminded us to look at the huge clearance room before leaving just in case there was a better deal there we liked more. Weve had multiple deliveries from Slumberland and it has always been fast, professional, and on time.We havent needed to make a purchase since 2018, but I called today to check on our warranty. I wasnt sure where I put the paperwork and within two minutes the incredibly helpful salesperson (Andy) found us our original invoice and emailed it to me with instructions on how to contact the warranty company.Well be back the second we need another piece! I cant think of any buying experience that has been as consistently friendly and customer-focused as Slumberland. Thank you!

We’ve bought the majority of our furniture from slumberland because it is good quality and not expensive. They have a decent warranty that they stand by which we’ve actually used and it held up. All of the salespeople were knowledgeable and friendly and not at all pushy.
