I’ve been in the market for a truck as of the last several weeks, and I decided to check out what this lot had in their inventory. Their prices weren’t fair by any means, but I was desperate to find something ASAP so I looked into two Chevy Silverado 1500’s they had on their lot. The car salesmen let me thoroughly look through each truck and eventually had proposed that I test drive one. He asked me If I had my license and insurance, to which I responded “yes sir”. He then asked me if I had full coverage to which I responded “no sir, I don’t have full coverage because I don’t need it for my current vehicle” and he refused to let me test drive either of the vehicles. I’ve been test driving cars/trucks religiously over the course of several weeks and NEVER have I once been required to have full coverage, let alone insurance at all. The most disappointing thing about all of this is the fact that I am almost certain that because of my age and how I look/dress myself, I was profiled and turned down on test driving a vehicle.

Everything was great. Went not knowing whether I was buying something used or something new. Left with a new Frontier and felt I was giving a good deal. In and out in 3 hours. Had dropped off my suv at the dealership at 6am due to the engine shutting off completely when getting off the interstate and Nissan being the closes shop. I regret not looking into the issue before bringing it here. I was first told by the service employee that it was (from his experience) the camshaft sensors and stated it would be $850, but they were going to have to run diagnostics to confirm the problem ($150). I agreed and waited for the call later in the day with the results. Service member the alternator was bad and it would be $967 to fix and it wouldn’t be fixed til 3 days later. I declined Nissan to fixed it and stated I would come get it.When I arrived the same service member told me that any aftermarket alternator “just doesn’t work in these kinds of cars”. I’m assuming this was an attempt to scare me into letting them fix it since I’m a woman. Next I said I would be having it towed and there was a huge issue with “not being enough room on the lot” for me to wait for the tow truck. However I told them they were on there way and would be gone before closing. After waiting outside for my car to be brought up from the back (about 40 minutes) it was finally brought up. End result was after being dropped off at my house, and the advice from the kind tow truck driver…cleaning the corrosion from the terminals was the issue. Alternator works fine. Battery works fine. Just too much corrosion. I wish I hadn’t been in such a panic to have stopped and thought it through before taking it to Nissan. I’ve never had any major service done to my suv there and I never will after this. Im even questioning the free oil change at this point. To try to scam someone out of 1k is insane. And if your mechanics honestly didnt think to clean the corrosion off first when diagnosing….you maybe need to look into some new mechanics.
Happy to have my window working. Very unhappy that I was charged $665 for an hour of your time. Your invoice says that you charged me $346.60 for a part that only costs $40 online. I will be taking my car to someone else next time my Rogue needs work. Leaving two stars only because Andrea was very kind and helpful.

TLDR: They put an extended warranty on my purchase when I said no. I didnt read closely before signing. I called and they said they would cancel it. They didnt, and then dodged my phone calls to cancel for four months.I didnt read the final paperwork closely enough and didnt realize they included the extended warranty even though I said no. Thats on me.I called them the next business day and they said it looked like the system added two warranties, its a bug. I told them I wanted both cancelled, effective that day. They said okay give it two weeks to process. That didnt happen.It took me four months to get it cancelled.They wouldnt call me back and they blamed the receptionist for not giving them my messages.I ended up just having to show up once a week. I would ask them to cancel and they would say they are doing it. Eventually they did it, but would only cancel one of the two warranties and wouldnt back date the other one.Ive been telling all my colleagues to avoid this company at all costs.

Jon Janosko is the best service manager I ever worked with. Give him a raise! He treats me like Im the only customer he has. I think of him as my personal service manager. He makes sure all the little details are correct, like using my coupons or letting the technician know i brought my own synthetic oil.

Every one was professional and made me very comfortable as I waited.
At first I was quoted $1,000 more than the sticker price, but I figured it could have been an honest error, I caught it and they adjusted the price. I was interested to know what they determined my credit score to be, as the only information I received was “it’s not a terrible credit score, but we can work with it”. In addition, I wanted to know what interest rate they were basing the monthly payment on as the only information I received was “what matters is we got it as low as we could”. It took me leaving and them catching me at my car to alert me my credit score was 800 and their initial interest rate was way too high. I later saw they hit me with 4 hard credit inquiries which is a 8p deduction (I specifically told them 1 only). The only reason I’m leaving this review is they are still calling me (nearly a month later) interested in business acting like this huge red flag didn’t happen. Salesman are nice, inventory isn’t bad for the impacts of Covid, but the finance department was very deceptive to me and now I have to deal with 4 hard inquiry deductions for 2 years. Could not bring myself to trust buying a car with them. I lost big on Fred Anderson Nissan.

Isaiah Fox was great. I was very disappointed in the very beginning because the van I wanted was sold the night before. He listened to why we were so disappointed - travel time (1.5 hrs) to Asheville AND I have 6 children, so lining up childcare is not easy. We made a special trip to Fred Andersons and he made it happen.If he had not offered to have my van delivered to me, I may not have bought a vehicle. He also listened, that I had never seen a Nissan NV up close before. This was why we were so excited it was in Asheville. Other commercial dealers are so much further or had none in stock.He made sure we were able to look at the used Nissan NV and allowed us to look inside it.I would recommend Isaiah again. Unfortunately, we live too far away for me to drive there for service. That is the only reason why I chose Probably will not for service work.
All I had was my airbag changed there but I was truly impressed with the employees as they were very very nice to me encouraging they greeted me well made me feel like a member of the family. I do not remember the name of the lady that greeted me in the service department but she was so nice and made me feel comfortable

I was satisfied with the service as requested although I thought it was a bit expensive. What I was not satisfied with was the attitude of Glenn, my service specialist at the dealership when I pointed out to him that the front of my Armada was spattered with bug remains. It looked just as it did prior to being washed at the dealership following the service. His response was that it was an automatic car wash and claimed no responsibility for allowing the car to leave the dealership in that condition. He told me that he would have it hand washed if I wished. Apparently it was acceptable to him the way it looked! That’s not acceptable to me!

I drive extra miles to get my car serviced at Fred Anderson Nissan because I know I will be treated with professionalism and courtesy. I could take my car elsewhere but I trust that Fred Anderson Nissan will not try to take advantage of my ignorance of auto mechanics to sell me stuff I dont need or over charge me for what I do need.
This has been the easiest and best car buying experience we have ever had. NJ was our salesman and he was great! I text him back and forth, was able to take a vehicle home for the night so my wife could test drive it, and today we are in a brand new Rogue! I also have to add that she has only ever had Fords, so for her to move to another company is unheard of.I also want to give a shout out to Mark, the sales manager. He too is awesome and they were able to get us the vehicle at the price we requested without any hassle or pressure. I would recommend them to anybody looking for a new Nissan!
