I went in without knowing what my issue was except that my driver side window was not rolling up. They quickly diagnosed the issue and gave me a more info than I needed and expected. This office is not only looking to make a buck but instead are actually looking to serve their customers. If I ever need a window I am willing to drive from Knoxville to have them work on it when possible. Their advice saved me about $300.

Terrible service. I had a windshield replaced June 3 they didnt seat it right and it leaked. It damaged my sun-roof switch, because water ran out oflight /switch. After 2 techs came back I demanded that it be re-replaced. Sure enough leak stopped. They also broke windshield wiper part. After 4 weeks they finally came back and replaced it. 2 months later Im still waiting on a new switch. Andy in Asheville is avoiding me because I call back to find out when they are going to come and replace my switch.He told me he couldnt get switch, I called local Ford dealership and they can have it overnight. What is wrong with this? I need this to be completed.

I booked an appointment online to repair a chip in my windshield. Booking was easy and painless, and I was able to enter a promo code for $25 off that Id found online. When I arrived, a tech immediately greeted me, briefly explained the process, and took my car into the bay. Although he estimated 30 minutes, it only took 20! Very satisfied customer.

They crash wrapped my rear windshield until I could get the actual repair worked out with my insurance with no questions asked, and as a last minute drop in. Advised me of the other repairs that were needed before they could replace the glass itself. I didn’t end up getting the glass replaced by them, mainly because my insurance chose to get the wiper and glass repaired at the same shop. But the price of the windshield, wiper and wiper motor along with labor and cleanup, was only $50 more than JUST the glass would have been with safelite. I had to pay the same deductible regardless of where the repairs were, but I was shocked at how the prices compared. Otherwise, very prompt, efficient, and professional individuals.
The quoted me a price of over $640 to replace a windshield in their service center. I declined and tried 2 other auto glass installers an they both quoted me a price of $300 for the exact replacement windshield. Needless to say I went to one of the others and got the same job. Rip off!
They did a great job. Be prepared to sit for a couple of hours if youre getting a windshield replaced. About 30-45 min for a crack repair. I have a Hyundai Accent (Hatchback) and it was about $411 after parts, labor, disposal fee, and tax.

I scheduled a time online to get my windshield replaced. After receiving two confirmation emails and two confirmation phone calls, I took time off from work to get the replacement. Turns out they had canceled my appointment, taken me off the books, and not ordered the glass needed for my car. Having not worked for the first half of 2020, I work a lot now to make up for it and I had to take off work to get this job done. I lost money to go to this place that cannot be bothered to properly schedule their customers. Also, walking into a glass repair shop and being told they dont have glass is just ridiculous.

They did a great job on replacing my front windshield. The website said that it would take 2 hours and there was no waiting room because of covered. The shop didnt tell me that and before my husband had me back home they were done. And they did have a waiting room that I could sit in if I or a mask period.

I have never been so disappointed in an auto service-provider. I had Safelite perform a chip repair, at a cost of around $160.00, to my 2017 Subaru front windshield. The chip was under the size of a quarter and less than a week old when Safelite did their work. Within 5 days of their repair the crack began to expand. I understood this to be under warranty and emailed their customer support to request help. You cannot call them due to COVID19. I received a canned response that pretty much told me that glass is unpredictable and perhaps this was somehow my fault? Within 24 hours of that email back from Safelite customer support the crack spread out over a foot on a hot afternoon. It has since continued to spread while Safelite ignores my email and refuses to respond. Take my word - they are NOT worth the cost. You will likely waste $160.00 with no benefit and then be told its somehow your fault when their repair fails. Terrible (borderline non-existent) customer service and an awful product that fails to meet even the barest of expectations. 0/5 stars.
Beware of using Safelite Auto Glass! I’ve had a horrible experience with them. Had a 12-5 window for a technician to show up, called the office at 330 when I hadn’t heard from him, they assured me would be there between the 12-5 windows. At 4:50 still no call from technician so I called office again, and they then informed me it would be 6:30 before he could get there. At 5:30 the technician calls me and gives me a bunch of attitudes and tells he might not make it, gives me several excuses and blames the company. He eventually calls and says he 6 mins from my house (no 30min warning) and makes it close to 6:30 and gives me more attitude in my driveway. He starts working on taking the door apart and I ask him if he needs to put something on the ground to catch all the broken glass and he says no it will be ok. I then asked if he is going to vacuum the glass up and he informs me he doesn’t have a vacuum (the main reason I booked Safelite was bc they guaranteed to clean all the glass). At the end of the job after he leaves I notice glass all over the ground. During the appointment the technician informs me I could go to the main shop and they would have some one clean the remaining glass out for me the following day. When I came to their shop they were expecting me and knew what needed to be done, when they brought my truck back there was still glass everywhere and they didn’t even attempt to remove the glass from inside the door(sounds like a Tambourine when you close it). I had them take it back to remove the rest of the glass and went back inside to talk to the manager. I informed the manager about the horrible experience I had and asked him if it was standard for them to leave glass on the ground after doing the repair or if they had any protocol to prevent this from happening and he said no they just leave it there. I explained how dangerous that is and how I, one of roommates or one of our animals could step on it and get cut and he still said that they don’t pick up glass off the ground. This was one of the worst experience I’ve had with a business in a long time and I will never use them again. They were recommended by my insurance company and I now see why, they just want the cheapest work done possible and don’t care about quality work.DONT USE SAFELITE AUTOGLASS

They went above and beyond repairing my husbands vehicle. Seriously, they really did a great job. My only concern is this: I think the owner should supply better face protection for his employees. Their face masks, which arent actually masks, but those gators, are so old & thin you can see their moustaches and lips through the fabric. If I owned the franchise I would want my employees to have better protection because I wouldnt want the down time if some Communist Sympathizing customer came waltzing in spreading his Commie virus and spouting off about how his right to be comfortable was more important than my employees rights to life and health. A case inside my business from some Pandemic panderer could cost me nine barrels of money while my employees were forced to quarantine for 14 days. I mention this because Ive experienced it personally 3 times - one person, one weak link, knocks out an entire team with a single positive test. Shutting down or being short staffed for two weeks is very costly & sends customers to my competitors, resulting in a continuous loss of revenue because people tend to stick with what they know, and if they get good service elsewhere while Im shut down, theyll go back there the next time and will never get to experience the great service we recieved.

Left with no windshield and $200 dollars of damage in a thunderstorm. This was my first time using Safelite, I am thoroughly disappointed and angry. I set up an appointment to have my windshield replaced in my office parking lot while I was at work in June, and this is what happened. Brian, the technician arrived, and started work on the car. About 30 minutes in, after he has removed the windshield, he calls me out and tells me he has found a tear in the metal that the glass is glued down to. At first I thought it was odd, but didn’t think too much of it, until he insisted that he didn’t do it. It didn’t really even cross my mind that he would have done it until he said something, and I thought that since Safelite is such a large company that if they damaged a car while working it they would just take care of it, why would he lie? This is not the case. He then told me he would have to call and see if he could continue with the repair, when he called me out again, about ten minutes later he informed me that he would not be able to put a new windshield on, and that I might want to try a local shop because they don’t have to follow DOT regulations. He then promptly got in his car and left me with no windshield, right before a thunderstorm was rolling in. I then inspected the tear and realized that it was fresh. I called him to bring the windshield back, and he was hesitant to do so and suggested I just get a tarp to cover it. I said that since my car was probably now going to have to stay overnight because I can’t drive it without a windshield, absolutely not, and he finally brought it back to me. When he brought it back he said he was not allowed to put it back on, but it did anyway and left again. I looked on the back of the glass, and there was the missing piece of metal. Luckily a local glass shop came out and helped me temporarily seal it, and suggested a local body shop for welding. After getting my car welded and then the glass replaced by someone else, I called Safelite’s customer service to file a complaint, just in the hopes that they would reimburse me the $200 I spent on the welding job, and didn’t hear back. I called again, and they told me the complaint was never filed, so I had to do it all over again. A few weeks go by and still I hear nothing. So I called a third time, and they transfer me to the manager of the Asheville Safelite, and I tell him what happened. He said he would talk to the technician and get back to me that night or the next morning, and more than a month later I STILL HAVE HEARD NOTHING. I have been really patient, and much nicer than I should have been about this whole situation and gave them plenty of time to rectify the situation before writing this review. I have never felt so screwed over by a company in my life. I will never ever use Safelite again, and will never recommend them to anyone.

The people who work here are incompetent to say the least. I wasted two weeks waiting on a power regulator, during which time I spoke on the phone at length with multiple employees who all claimed to be in communication with their parts warehouse. 8 am the day of my second rescheduled appointment I get a call directly from the parts manager in South Carolina who tells me the work order was never even put in and if I want to do business with them the price would be over double the original quote. I found the part at auto zone for under 100 meaning I could have simply bought the part and had a local business install it.
Got new windshield in stock and appt for install all within 24hrs of my contacting them... Great/friendly/quick service
Recently got a quote for a cracked windshield replacement for my Jeep. The starting price was minimum $50 higher than every local company plus they charge $35 mobile fee plus a disposal fee on top of other fees & taxes also. Even with a Triple A discount Safelite was $150 higher than several local companies who offer mobile service. Save yourself the dough & support local.

Over 5 months ago Nationwide referred me to Safelite to have my windshield replaced. Safelite replaced my windshield but they were unable to recalibrate my eyesight system like they were supposed to do. Safelite referred me to Subaru to have them recalibrate the system. I contacted the local Nationwide office to check in with them first since the recalibration from Subaru would be an additional cost because Safelite was unable to complete the initial job. Upon taking my car to Subaru I was informed that Safelite had damaged the internal components of the eyesight system, and that the entire system would have to be replaced. Since then Safelite has dodged paying for the system to be replaced. They have teased myself, Nationwide, and Subaru saying that they would mail a check, only to come back later saying they forgot to mail it or have more questions. I took them to small claims court recently and the case was dismissed because Safelite asked for me to explain exactly how they could have broken the system. I am not a car expert but I know that the system was working just fine before I brought it to them. I know that they were unable to complete the recalibration so they sent me to Subaru, and I know that Subaru diagnosed the system as broken internally due to something I could not have done myself but only through someone attempting to recalibrate the system incorrectly.Do not trust these people. They are unable to complete the job and lack responsibility.
Same-day service - staff was super friendly and helpful. Results were not quite perfect, but it was 90% perfect. I would go back.
I recently had my windshield replaced. Upon replacement, there were several leaks. I understand this is a common problem although I am not sure of the specifics.We had terrible rain after the replacement and the interior of my van got wet. While it is frustrating for me, I will say that the folks at Safelite have been very responsive! The manager answered all my calls, responded to all my concerns, and without argument paid for the needed repair and to have my car detailed after the seats dried. It was a hassle and while I would have preferred everything to have gone smoothly, the customer service in the face of the issues was amazing.
Excellent service, excellent techs. Of course its a bummer you have need for a new windshield, but since you do, this place is a great pick, especially for newer vehicles that need systems calibration after replacement. Plus, theyre great to work with. I had an appointment but had to postpone for about a month due to work travel, but they worked with me and got me in as soon as I returned, even still had the part.

I had to have my windshield replaced due to a large crack running down the center of my windshield from a rock flying up on the highway, and this Safelite establishment replaced my windshield in record time! The gentleman who worked on my car was Taylor, and he was very professional and had wonderful customer service. In fact, each person I spoke to was extremely nice and answered every question I had. I feel safe in my car and the windshield looks identical to my previous one.I will be recommending this establishment and will be returning!

Fast friendly service. The person at the front counter even went out of their way to find a discount for me. In and out with a new windshield in an hour. A little hard to locate as its situated in the back corner of the building.
The actual glass install was fine, but there was no added in value in choosing Safelite over the competition. We were told that they would vacuum the car to sweep for broken glass, and we were told that all windows in the car would be clean. Vacuuming was minimal..just in the door. There were very obvious patches of glass shards still visible in the seat and on the floor. In addition, no windows had been cleaned. Finally, I asked for a shuttle ride to a destination five minutes away and they could not provide that. These small tweaks in your service could really go a lot farther than the bottled water/coffee you provide.

I cracked my windshield on Sunday. I went to the Safelite website and got an at-home appointment early Tuesday afternoon. I received several texts reminding me of my appointment, and one from the Tech telling me that he was on his way, right on time. He was very friendly and polite. When I expressed interest in his work he told me all about it. I had a new windshield 48 hours after the break, and I couldnt be happier.
I dont like automated systems that take me through ads collect information that then send me to a person to provide a quote. The automated systems asks questions that the associate then re-asks. About 10 min to get to a person. Moreover, I dont like repairs that run almost double the competition. $479 when the competition is in the 235-250 range for my vehicle. Perhaps this is not an apples to apples comparison? Maybe theres some stuff they do thats different? I doubt their warranty is not going to cover the damage the next dump truck does to my windshield?
My support stayed in contact with me via phone, was very professional yet with a touch of personality that is always nice in customer service. He was real. He arrived on time, kept me informed and did an excellent job replacing my windshield. I have used Safelite before and have had excellent service every time.
I contacted Safelite online to schedule an appointment. I was able to get my appointment scheduled for that afternoon. The technician called to let me know when he would be here and also texted when he was on his way. Technician was very efficient and friendly and explained everything beforehand. I will definitely use Safelite should the need ever arise again.
These are great people to work with. If you do self-pay, its a bit cheaper than going through the auto insurance...and still have to pay out of pocket because its cheaper than the deductable. Quality work at reasonable prices....
I put order in for original OEM windshield. Tech told me he had the original OEM windshield with him. After he was done I noticed differences and checked the model number. It was not the original but a lesser windshield. Model number they billed my insurance for has the original number but my windshield they installed in doesnt match invoice.I called and now have to wait a week for the correct one to be installed, and they said it is now warranty work. Another day waisted for the installation too.

The technician was prompt and friendly and did good work. I cleared my dashboard and put everything on the passenger seat. Unfortunately he sat on that seat while replacing the windshield and crushed some personal items, including some expensive metal sunglasses. I called, spoke with the manager who said he would ask the technician about it and call me back. Instead I got a call back from the technician. The technician didnt recall sitting on anything, and told me I could speak with the manager. I asked him to have them call me. I never received a call. So Safelite cost me an additional $200 in property damage and never once offered any recourse or even an apology. If youre getting work done by them, I highly recommend emptying your vehicle. And if there are any problems, dont expect much in the way of customer service.
Setting up an appointment for a local Safelite shop to replace my windshield was so easy online! And the service was professional and efficient. They had my new windshield installed in less than 2 hours. I will definitely use them again if needed.
My tech was great in spite of weather challenges. I needed a new windshield desperately before a trip north that was to begin later that day. It was raining. No where close by had shelter to work in, and after a few attempts he patiently followed me fifteen minutes home to use our garage. Timing was perfect and accurately projected. Very happy and will use again if needed!

I gave my experience 3 stars and just bumped it down to 2 because while all of my interactions with staff went well, my install wasnt 100%. When I took the truck in for normal service (a month after new windshield install) at another shop, I found out that a piece of trim was missing that Safelite didnt put back in. Now a piece of my vehicle is gone. We also noticed right after install that the new windshield was smudged up with dirt and fingerprints that we had to clean. I hate cleaning the inside of a windshield, and why should I have to with a brand new one?

Are you saying that you will refund my purchase? I still have the BAD WIPERS that I told were on special when I got my windshield fixed.___________________________________They wouldnt refund bad windshield wipers less than 3 months after purchase. First time I used them, I was out of town and they scratched the glass. I had to buy new wipers, and the manager at Asheville store refused a refund...said my only option was to take a different pair of wipers. #failIn addition, the windshield cracked further after their repair.
Waited a week to get a windshield put in my daughters car for them to show up at 550 the last minute just to tell me they cant replace it cause it might have structure damage. This is something that needs to be addressed before they day they schedule someone to xome out and do it and already have been paid. I so not recommend Safelite.

I Was happy with my window but service man broke my cowling then told my insurance company it was already broke. I know it wasnt broke because I just armoraled it the day before. He told me it might break but I had no idea what he was talking about until it was broke. Safelite dont replace it. And my insurance company dont either? So I am very upset with both you and Geico.

My fiancé and I got our passenger-side window replaced by Safelite and were alright with paying extra given they include a lifetime warranty. The window was not installed correctly, however, so it allows air through and is extremely loud while were driving. We immediately knew there was an issue, but we had already started driving and needed to get to our next location for another art fair. We sell our photography at fine-art fairs, traveling and living most of the year in our van. We kept putting off getting the window fixed because we were extremely busy, so we could have been more vocal more quickly. We tend to try to just deal with things though and knew when we got the chance, we had the lifetime warranty. This location DID NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY though. They said we would have to cover the window replacement again. Very poor customer service and practice. Hope to save others from similar issues. I never use all caps and have only maybe once posted a negative review, but DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION OR THEIR WARRANTY HERE.
Very professional, friendly and fastservice. my only complaint is that theperson who serviced my jeep changedall the settings on my seat and leftthe transmission in first gear on levelground, something I never do causingme to stall after starting my engine.this is not good for the transmission.

Had chip repaired less than 2 hours after it occurred. Called insurance and they set up the appointment, I arrived 5 hours early to see if sooner availability. Was out in 45 minutes.
The employees are always polite. The reason I gave them 3 stars is because their technician reconnect my windshield washers wrong. It cost me $98 and some change to get this corrected. I believe Safelites warranty should cover this. I know it was an honest mistake however, it took time out of my day off to travel nearly 45 minutes to get this corrected. Two hours out of my morning. I will let you know if I get reimbursed.
