Do not use this place, waited over a month for a part to be drilled out and have a bushing put in it and ended just having to get the part and take it to a different shop, rarely can get ahold of anyone and when you do he’ll say yeah I’m gonna try to do it tonight and never touches it.

I was referred to this shop by another Asheville machine shop that didnt do engines, I talked to them over the phone on a Monday, I needed an engine head pressure tested and decked. they said 3-4 day turn around. I talk to them Thursday evening, I was told it was being shaved and then cleaned and would be ready by tomorrow (Friday) first thing in the morning. when I showed up to get my engine head, of course I was upset to see it not finished, then the owner out of no where gets EXTREMELY RUDE, CUSSED ME UP AND DOWN, Wouldnt let me get one word out, TOLD ME TO LEAVE, HE DIDNT CARE THAT I WAS A PAYING CUSTOMER, Very uncomfortable situation when I was never rude to start. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SHOP EVER! STAY FAR AWAY!!!! (oh yeah I got my engine head back in pieces rather than together the way I left it with them)

Took my wifes SUV engine (block & head) by to be machined and short block assembled. David Ingram said no problem. One month later, called to get update and was told parts were hard to find (this was a Chevrolet engine), but he thought theyd be in in two weeks. Went another month without any word, so I called back. Was told yeah, its close, about two weeks to go. Waited another month, same story. This continued on for a total of 5 months! I tried several times to speak with David to inquire on the status, but was told by someone on the phone that he was unavailable or at lunch--every time I called. If they didnt have time or didnt want to do the work since I wasnt a professional mechanic or big business, I wish they would have respected me enough and had the decency to tell me instead of leading me on for 5 months.Do NOT do business with this company, apparently they are comfortable enough to not bother with the little man.

I recently started a project, swapping my 1974 nova custom from an auto transmission to a manual. i ran into a problem with retainer bearing size and needed a part machined down to size. i took it to jack ingram at ingrams machines and he did the job. it was done by the time he said, for the price he said, and the part fit great, you cant ask for more than that. jack is a honest guy that does good work.by Ruben Bailey.

Have had good work done before by David but definitely takes his time due dates run weeks over. Well definitely take my bussiness elsewhere
