After a longer than expected search to find someone to do an alignment on my car, Curtis Hi Tech said they would. They have an in ground alignment machine, which works well with a lower vehicle. I wish I asked the guy who did the alignment on my car his name. He is a very friendly guy. We had a short conversation about the specs that I wanted for my alignment, and how it was difficult for me to find people willing to work on my car. He told me that (Im paraphrasing) We wouldnt scratch that Toyota over there, so we wont scratch your Lotus. Which to me inspires a large amount of confidence in there ethics, that they arent going to treat my car special, because they treat all of there customers cars with respect. Another shop recommended that I come here, because they have that in ground alignment machine, as I was leaving they made sure I was aware that they were not trying to steal that other shops customer. If you are looking for a shop with integrity this place is for you.The alignment is excellent, I can drive my Exige with confidence.Ten stars.

Ive been taking my car to Curtis for about three years now, and my partner and his grandparents have been with them for even longer.Courtney at the front desk is friendly and helpful without any over-the-top buttering-you-up type of stuff. I havent had the chance to talk with the mechanics much since they keep pretty busy with the cars, but in the moments I need more clarification from them they make themselves available.They arent perfect, sometimes an attempt to fix something just doesnt get the whole problem solved and we need to go back. Im not really good enough with cars to say if thats how it always goes or if its a lack on their part. Overall I tend to talk things over with my car-knowledgeable friends and family FIRST before I get things done, and that gives me enough peace of mind to hand it over to Curtis for the actual job.[Full Disclosure - Im writing this because they give a free oil change when you leave a review, but this is my honest opinion]

Ive been going to Curtis Hi Tech for 10yrs with 4 different vehicles and have always had excellent service. Easy to get appts, quick turn around on services, and very affordable. They have always let me know if a service I was looking into wasnt needed, and I have never had any issues with any services they have done for me. They recently added a feature on their website so I can see all my service history on all my vehicles. Was really surprised and happy to see they had info on vehicles I had brought in years ago, really a great feature.

I mean I don’t think it’s that big of a deal but come on people there is a lot of elderly people that get their car serviced here! Transmission needed replace and the price was a fair price for the work that needed to be done. Car looked very clean when it was picked up on their way back to school. Runs great! Amazing is all I can say about the staff at Curtis! I took my 04 truck there and they keep it running like new!

They go downhill. I use them over 10 years but something is gotten different 4 months. Keep my car for over a month and it never move. Always sitting outside and when it finally get worked on and I get it back have to bring it back three times more and they keep charge me ever time. I go somewhere else now and see mechanic forgot to hook something up. Fix in few minutes and no charge.

I’ve been coming to Curtis Hi tech for years with my 92 F150, have put over 90,000 miles on it in 8 years, and they keep it running. Courtney has always done a great job being transparent letting me know what they find and how much it would be, the prices are honest and usually less than when I shop around, and the work is good (I’ve never had to have them repeat the same job). I’d trust them with any of my vehicles and highly recommend.

Look no further! These guys are great!!I recently moved to Asheville and needed to find a great mechanic. I drive a old pickup and it often needs some work. These guys were recommended to me by my cousin and I am so glad she did! I have had to use them several times and for a few large repairs. Each time I have take my truck in, they have giving me an estimate before they do any work, the pricing is extremely reasonable but more than that they are fast. Regardless of the amount of work that needs to be done, they are usually finished with-in 2 days if not less. None of this, we have to keep your car for a week business. They understand the need for people to have their vehicles and try to get your car back to you quickly. They are also some of the nicest folks around. Just an added bonus to the fantastic job they do!

After multiple miscommunications with receptionists regarding work and timing, the mechanic failed to tighten our lug nuts securely after doing the work. We learned this while driving from Asheville to New Mexico, when we had to pull over on the highway in the middle of Oklahoma because one of our wheels was about to fall off. All this with our cat and dog in the van. Absolutely unacceptable. On top of all that, nobody was wearing a mask in their small office. Go elsewhere.

Great local shop, I went in to get my spark plugs and distributor cap replaced as well as getting some fluids changed. Everything was done quickly and professionally. They also fixed the number of small issues and didnt even mention that they had or charge me form then. Good people!

Would highly recommend this shop. I took my truck in for an unknown rear end noise, they correctly identified it as a wheel bearing, replaced it on the original entire estimate, and at a fair price. Courtney on the phone was able to answer all my tough questions without hesitating!

This place it AWFUL! Took my daughters car in and her radiator needed to be replaced. Two weeks later it broke down. They FORGOT to hook the fans back up!!!! Hello, Mechanics 101! They also prepped me for more work by saying sometimes the head gaskets leak. No, they didnt burp it long enough, causing it to lose fluid! I called to complain and ask for some of my money back- the least they could do when I had to spend more money to fix their mistakes. Owner NEVER called me back! Piss poor customer service. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!!!!!

Honest, friendly, quick service. I got the oil changed, tires rotated and a new cabin air filter. My cars service indicator said that it was due for a brake fluid flush. The mechanic checked to see if it was actually necessary, and it wasnt. I appreciate their honesty.

First of all, no one asked my name, phone #, address, nothing. How do you find past records? Look it up by make and model? Must be interesting finding things. Anyway, came in for an inspection, left my reg. Card in the cup holder for easy access and stated 3 times that the card was in the cup holder. Not concealed, not in the glove box, I had purposely placed It in the open in plain view, and made it very clear where it was It was a GA state inspection which all NC inspectors are qualifies to do. The tech said she wasnt going to dig for my reg even though I left it plainly accessible so that digging wasnt required, so I had to write it all down, because she didnt want to lower the lift. And I couldnt enter the shop because of insurance even though there was toddler in the shop????? Then she runs the inspection as Buncombe county, even though it was abundantly clear that this was a GA inspection because they asked if i had gotten it cleared by Georgia Ignorance or laziness, either way now I have to go and pay for another inspection because they arent open weekends. Great.

They help you out when their is a problem with your car (money wise) they try to put themselves in your shoes and realize that they dont want to break the bank. Ive been taking my Toyota to Curtis Hi Tech Auto for service for over two years now, having various things fixed, which they did so well, including fixing some odd problems over again without charge to me. They have amazing mechanics, and the place is managed perfectly. Just recently, my always dependable car broke down while I was driving in the middle of nowhere on a deserted road, something I have never had to deal with before. I called them worried, and they helped me get a tow that came right away for me and my car, and then they fixed my car asap. It was a big job and wasnt easy to do as an important part had rusted tight that needed to be taken off careful -- they did it perfectly and at a reasonable price, so I am very grateful to everyone there, like Courtney and Kitty who take such good and knowledgeable care to make everything work out just right for their customers!

I always bring my cars to Hi-Tech and if they feel the work should be done by a different expert (think transmissions, etc), then I will use the service center they refer me to. I have the highest level of trust in the entire staff. When I have thought to buy another car (new or used), I bring it to them to evaluate. There have never been hidden fees or costs. Took our car here for the first time on March 20th,we were recommended this place from Discount tires where we got tires for our car! the car needed brakes Courtney is very friendly and got us in very quickly for an inspection and then the cost of the repairs,we felt that they were very honest,helpful and caring, the service was great and the waiting time was only an hour which they promised and the cost was pretty reasonable and the technicians were very knowledgeable! the car needs further repair and will be going back there!

I needed a new windshield wiper, they sent someone to get the part for me at Autozone, replaced it quickly for minimal cost. I had another issue that would have been much more expensive, they recommended to see if the issue would still be under warranty with my dealership. The best auto shop in town. Ive been a regular (or one-time, in one memorable experience) customer at several shops in town, ranging from well-known independents to chains. Curtis Hi Tech has consistently had the best prices and best quality service of any of them, and they will not sell you on unnecessary services.They are busy (rightfully so), so you generally need to plan ahead a bit/ call and make an appointment to get work done here as opposed to just walking in, but its worth it, and they can and will come through in a pinch when you need work done ASAP, and make sure that the work is done right.

I get my inspections done there, cars havent needed work. I like that they honor your appointment time and start right in with your vehicle, that doesnt always happen at other stations. The waiting room while small is clean and chairs are comfortable and all staff are personable.

I took my car in to get an oil change a few months ago and it was a great experience. Everyone was super friendly and nice. I felt sick that day so maybe it was the owner or the manager, whoever it was, they gave me a plastic bag in case I was going to get sick, showed me to the bathroom, and let me sit outside in one of their chairs. I felt embarrassed that was I sick but they were very nice during the whole process. The oil change was done quick and effective. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely be going back.

Though a rebuilt engine obtained from a local supplier turned out to be way below par, the folks at Curtis did everything they could to help remedy the situation even though it cost them financially.
