From entering the building and being helped (can’t remember his name) I never felt welcomed.I was looking for a twin XL and was told there were only a couple options and tried forcing mattresses on me that I didn’t even like.I got out of there as quickly as possible to never look back. I went to mattress warehouse down the street and the experience was much better.I ended up getting a good mattresses for a good price and the delivery was the best I’ve ever had. On time, fast, and friendly.

I hadn’t planned on buying a mattress the very day I visited Mattress Firm on Merrimon - didn’t really have any idea of what I wanted in a mattress since I hadn’t shopped for one in probably over 15 years, and gosh knows the science & technology of it all has changed dramatically in that amount of time, but I walked in and felt instant warmth from the salesguy Malik who was finishing up a sale with another customer. His smile charmed me, but his demeanor plus his serious knowledge about all of the products we talked about (and there were many), sold me, in addition to the fact that he was not pushy, but just wanted to educate me and have me try out the mattresses which I was happy to do. The mattresses, especially the one I finally chose, surely sold themselves because I have particular needs in a new mattress with my back issues, but Malik was genuinely very patient, was respectful, warm, kind and definitely so personable. I felt no pressure, but because of his amazing salesmanship, I truly wanted to buy a mattress from this person, so I did! Got a great deal and an easy delivery date and time window and now I can’t wait to get it and write more good things about the company! Malik also works at the store on Tunnel Rd in case that’s better for the readers. I recommend Mattress Firm, and I recommend “Magic Malik” to work with if you’re looking to make this large and important purchase!

I purchased two mattresses last evening at the North Asheville. The sales associate, Tyler Berger, was very helpful, knowledgeable about the different beautyrest mattresses I was looking at, he was also very patient-I was lying on all the beds (he explained the cleaning protocol so I felt safe) and asking a lot of questions and it was close to closing time. In this day of online purchasing, it was nice to go into a store and get the information you need to make a decision-mattresses are a fairly big investment. I have bought several mattresses from Mattress Firm over the years. The staff is very friendly and Ive always found a good deal in my price range. I would highly recommend at least going in to talk to them if youre in the market for a new mattress. They have a wide selection to choose from and theyre not overly pushy like a lot of places.

We went into the store on a whim. I was looking for 2 beds for myself and daughter. Having always had hand me down beds from family members, it was an experience actually buying one. The salesperson Lance was awesome! He explained everything and gave us our options, let us try the beds out to see what we liked. We decided on a bed and even got adjustable bases. Lance worked with us for a good finance plan and delivery date. The day it was set to be delivered was not a good day for us but we were gonna do it anyway, but then Lance called us later and said he was able to set it for another day that was much better for us. Everything with delivery was good. The 2 delivery men (sorry I cant remember their names) were great! They were friendly, professional and very quick. I honestly couldnt believe how quick and painless the entire process was from beginning to end. We have slept on the beds for 3 nights so far and the mattresses are nice! Also enjoying the adjustable base! I would recommend Mattress Firm North Asheville on Merrimon to anyone looking for a mattress!

Weve been buying beds from mattress firm for years now and love the brand. Go to this store and let Lance, the manager, sell you a bed. He is incredibly patient, fair and well educated on the products they sell. No pressure to buy but I cant see a reason to buy anywhere else. Ask him for a $100 off, refer a friend discount, when you spend over $999. When my wife and I were last there he broke out his guitar and sang us a song! We will definitely be back for our next mattresses purchase. Thanks Lance!

I looked online and at many different mattress stores in Asheville before choosing this one. Im so glad my family went here! John was a knowledgeable and patient salesman as we tried out his suggestions and left with exactly what we wanted. It was delivered quickly and we are sleeping better than ever in the first NEW mattress we ever got to pick out. Our Simmons Beautyrest Hybrid plush mattress has a happy home along with its adjustable platform and John even threw in a free mattress protector. We got an amazing deal and know where to go when our daughter is ready for her big girl bed!! ❤️

Our in store sales rep at Asheville North, Tyler, had very poor communication and listening skills. Mistakes in our order were made due to poor listening skills, so our in store experience took more time than it should have due to the order having to be redone. He kept saying I apologize for the miscommunication, but there were no miscommunications going on, it was just him leaving out information so that he could make the sale. Fortunately for him, we just needed a new bed regardless! We were also not provided with true information regarding our mattress removal and we paid for the platinum service. He told us they would take everything away from the old set up which is not actually the correct protocol according to the delivery/removal drivers. On the day of delivery, Tyler called to let us know that the delivery team was running late due to the truck being broken down, but when I apologized to the delivery guys for their inconvenient morning during friendly conversation, they said that their truck never broke down and they were just running late. LOL! There is no need to tell blatant lies like that to your customers. (He had even made a quick comment in the store about the trucks breaking down, so it sounds like that is just his go to lie that he tells.) The delivery people did an exceptional job and were very kind and understanding! The two gentlemen that came were the most pleasant part of this experience.The Mattress Firm online customer service was also very poor. The agents were never helpful and were rarely available. When I asked someone via online chat if the pillowcases that came in the bundle would fit the pillows that were also a part of that bundle, I was told that they would. However, when our delivery FINALLY arrived, I found out that the information I had been given was false. Mattress Firm online customer service was not very apologetic about this when I contacted them again and didnt care to make things right. Im really not sure why you would send pillow cases that arent the same size as the pillows that you are sending in the bundle set, but alrighty then. I would not recommend Mattress Firm to anyone in the future and I highly doubt that I will return there for any of my own needs.

After way too many years of having the same mattress, I finally decided to buy a new one. Tyler Berger was exceptionally thorough and professional in explaining to me all the benefits and nuances in todays mattresses and served me professionally in answering all my questions. Most importantly as well, during this time of the coronavirus, everyone wore masks and kept their distance while conducting business. As it should be. Lance is a great salesman! He showed us a very inexpensive (but still a good quality) mattress first and didnt bat an eye when we looked past it at something different. He pushed the adjustable base for a while, but never mentioned it again after we said we didnt want it. He spent a lot of time on us and was very patient, even though he was also doing inventory. Looking after his business and his customers, he showed a genuine friendly interest in us while still making a good sale. The location itself has better parking than most Merrimon Ave. businesses, and a good selection of mattresses. On a slightly more critical note, I would not go there specifically to find sheets. But then, its not called Sheet Firm.

My husband and I were stressed about spending money for new mattresses but Lance helped us find mattresses within our budget that are great quality and reasonably priced. The whole experience was like visiting a knowledgeable friend. Would recommend this place to anyone in the market for a new mattress.

Shopping for a new mattress in early September, we made our first stop at Mattress Firm. Lance was so personable and eager to help us make the right choice of mattresses for our needs that we were able to make our purchase on the first visit without any further shopping. The service person at the location was excellent, however their delivery people are unprofessional, late and have no concern for delicate items. Rent a truck and move the mattress yourself if you want to buy.An update on this, changed rating to 4 stars as the company did refund the delivery charge.

I just purchased a new Tempurpedic mattress and Ergo 2.0 adjustable bed frame at Mattress Firm on North Merrimon in Asheville. My current Tempurpedic mattress is going on 12 years or so. Got plenty of life out of it, but I was feeling its age. Anyway, although I knew I was shopping for another Tempurpedic mattress, Tyler at Mattress Firm was great! He was friendly, very knowledgeable about the products sold there, explained everything too me (warranties, delivery, return policy, etc.).Overall, he made for a very seemless and easy purchase. Tyler is a slimy salesman who repeated tried to change the price and change what we what discussed for cheaper options while raising the price. I would never shop there again! Now mattress mart over on Riverside drive help me out with a great deal on a fantastic king size name brand mattress and foundation set.

Ordered bed more than 2 months ago. Delivery keeps getting pushed back without an explanation (was supposed to be delivered one month ago). Taking off work to be available and having the delivery canceled the night before. DO NOT buy a mattress from this store
