I give one star for friendly and helpful service. That’s it. Hard to find using Google Maps and no one would answer phone. After finally finding it, selection was limited and there were no prices. When we asked about pricing, we were just told “it varies.” Our bill for a variety of 6 beers even with 10% discount was $32!! We really wanted to support a small business but we just can’t at those prices.

Very disappointed. WAYYYYY overpriced. They wanted $26 for a 4 pack from Bhrimari when you could get it directly from them much cheaper. The selection is very minimal and the woman that checked us out would not stop talking about her frikkin job history after she found out we worked at a vets office. 🙄 After still purchasing the beer, they didnt even have a bag to carry it in! So now, here I am, wandering the mall with beer in my arms. Ridiculous. Dont recommend at all.

Selection was lackluster at best, and the help was worse. Deadpan, dismissive, and clearly did not know what she was talking about. Very rude I would not recommend to anyone. The dog was the only saving grace.

This shop has great vibes and the owner is cool too. My husband and I tried a few of their $2 mead shots (including the PP&J mead- FYI it actually tastes/smells liget!) Had a great time trying new things, while talking with the owner who is fully informed about the products he is selling. We spent atleast 30 mins/1 hr here, a nice place to chill and have a few drinks.

Love this little local beer store. The owners and pups are great and so friendly! Yes, the prices are high, however we like to support local. Their beer selection is very unique and you can select whatever quantity you want so its worth it. We asked them for some recommendations for some new beers based on what we like and they have not disappointed. We highly recommend their Mead. They gave us a sample and we were hooked.

Not 24hrs as their hours of operations on google indicates. Visiting from out of town for the weekend and was very excited of the possibility for a craft beer store to be open after 9pm. Extremely disappointed when arriving to find the mall closed and reading further that “open 24hrs online”.

Place was packed but we got our beers quickly. Bartender was pleasant and no one had to wait long for anything. Very impressed with their knowledge. Not normally a craft beer drinker but I really liked the bourbon barrel aged beer I drank. I even took some home.

Probably the nicest bartender Ive ever met. She was so kind and patient even though it was very busy at the bar. Excellent service and the beers we had were amazing! Especially the blackberry sour! Cant wait to visit again.

I have never had a bad experience here. Been a frequent visitor since 2017 and I have never left disappointed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and remember regulars, they always have great beers on tap and yes while it is slightly more expensive then huge chain store I always prefer to go somewhere supporting local business and people.

Girlfriend got to shop at the mall while I drank craft beer in a cool bar! Shes happy, Im happy. Cant beat it. Staff was super nice and know their stuff. Great selection, too! Cant wait to try all these new beers.

I was driving through Asheville on a trip. I called the store on a whim hoping I could find some beers Ive been looking for. Rob was so helpful on the phone and even more helpful when I got to the store. I stayed to have a cocktail (it was delicious) and then he helped me pick out my beers. I have never been so excited to get home and try a beer. I will definitely come back again whenever I can be in Asheville.

Prices are extremely outrageous to the point of outright gouging. The bartender tried to justify the prices by saying that they have rare beers, but I was able to find their beers at Brusin Ales, Casual Pint and even online, shipped for half the price or less. On top of that, they dont put prices on anything including on their tap menu, so they know exactly what they are doing. We are locals and I can tell you right now that no one should be paying the price that they are charging. I recommend Brusin Ales, Craft Centric, Casual Pint, and Tasty if you want to take beer home with you. Go to the brewery itself if you want local beers.

I wish we had looked at the reviews prior to going in this place, but unfortunately we stumbled across it while shopping so we just walked in to check it out. 100% agree with the other reviews regarding the pricing. Its ridiculously overpriced, and there are no prices anywhere. We asked why there are no prices and the guy gave an excuse of how it would be too hard to keep prices on everything because of the quantity of beers they have. Not believing it; the selection is not that big and stores much larger all over the world display prices. I think its because they know once you get your selection and ring up, youre less likely to put it all back. Most people would probably rather just pay and learn a lesson than to look like a cheapskate. In that regard, I feel this place scams people. We commented at the register about the price and the guy was no longer very friendly and got defensive about it, so we paid and left, never to return and never to recommend it to others. I hope others can learn from our expensive mistake and avoid going here, or at least check the price on every single item before you buy it. Even regarding that, we tried checking the price on one item and the guy said, I think its like $8 or $9? How do they not know? Or maybe they make up prices as they go along. Hopefully the owner will take note of these reviews and change their business practices.

This is a great little bottle shop that is locally owned with some incredible beer selection, for those who know what good beer is, you can build mix and match six packs as well as buy individuals to enjoy at home or at the bar. They also had a outstanding draft selection that changes regularly, all this inside the asheville outlets! Perfect little place to enjoy a beer and take a break or pawn off a husband/wife girlfriend/boyfriend while you shop around! The staff was very educated with theyre beer knowledge, I had every question I had answered with a smile! Love you guys!!!

This place is very overpriced. The employee working wasnt really helpful. Hardly anything is labeled and you have to take anything you are interested in to the register to get a price. You are then given a one minute speech about how average their prices are. Almost all bottles were about 5 dollars more than I could get anywhere else. Might be a good place to get an idea of what you want, but go buy it literally anywhere else.

Great factory outlet for any type of shopping! Plenty of stores to browse in; but watch out for the rude people that cant decide whether they are coming or going! If you are going to visit on the weekend, make sure you allow plenty of time for traffic congestion, because the main road in and out is under reconstruction and causes quite the confusion. While you are in town, you are only a couple of exits up/below the infamous Biltmore, and should try to squeeze in a tour.

I wanted to like this place based on reviews! Selection was pretty good, though I didnt take a real close look. Although it was a slow morning with two people behind the counter, I barely got a hello. So out I went after a quick look see. Might go here for the occasional odd beer, but otherwise Ill shop at a store with better customer service. With service like that Id rather just get the beer at a grocery store.Went back and no one said anything to me. Probably because I actually know what Im looking at. The selection is not great and as far as I saw they only sell singles. Not to mention the prices are stupid high. This is the tourist trap of beer stores.

Stumbled into the tonic market when I was stuck at the outlet mall with a shopping girlfriend and her friend. Awesome and knowledgeable staff, a couple cute dogs, and you can drink draft beer while you shop. Really cool experience.

I’m an absolute huge fan of craft beer, and I absolutely love the variety of the beers here that you won’t see in the grocery store. However, the prices here are incredibly steep! Three six packs cost us $75!! Unbelievable!!! Definitely put me in a bad mood and wanted to drink. Nothing here is refrigerated either. Lame. Definitely not worth it.

Not a bad place to grab some local bottles/cans. Nothing that I could see was priced on the bottle/can, it is slightly inconvientent to go to the register to check a price, or to have to guess what your total might be. The staff was extremly nice, patient, and helpful... the energy in the room was super mellow and there are quite a selection of local brews. The only unfortunate thing is you really need to check the best-buy dates, obviously this is determined by the style or ingredients, but I did see some 3+ month old IPAs on the shelf. Overall I really do enjoy this place, I think there could be some minor improvements, they may not be the best bottle shop but I would still go back and see whats new.

Great idea but the prices arent marked. We bought 6 beers for $44. We spent too much! The Cider I got was $12 and it wasnt good. It tasted like a flat kombucha.

Nice place BUT every brewery Ive ever been to had no problems providing a sample on the house. Charging for a sample of beer is a little over the top. Kinda ruined the experience for me.

3 six packs cost me $65. The biggest problem is the fact that there was not one price tag on any of the beer on the shelves, so of course you get sticker shock at the register. Im a fan of craft beer, but $20+ for a six pack is absolutely ridiculous.

I understand they specialize in rare kegs, and Ive had my share of rare pours, but the pricing here seemed pretty steep for an 8oz pour in shop. The selection at the shop was pretty good though and the dogs in the shop are adorable.

Owners were very unclear about the pricing of a growler and I ended up spending 3-4 times what I expected only finding out after it was poured. I paid the full price without a fuss because it was poured and obviously something was lost in translation about the price. However, I will never in good concious shop here again. I feel it was very misleading. I was told it was very well priced and even that part of it was knocked down. Beware to consumers in general: be very inquisitive of the total price of a purchase before agreeing to anything.TLDR; The beer was good and the people seemed friendly but I felt misled about the price which is ultimately my fault for not asking enough questions.

As many other reviews echo, this place is absolutely over priced. Last week my girlfriend, who works nearby Tonic MRKT, wanted to grab a 4 pack of beer to surprise me. She walked out with a $28 four pack of Swoon Unit from Fonta Flora. My girlfriend isnt a beer enthusiast and thought the pricing was high, but was reassured that it was because this was an incredibly low production beer. While there wasnt a massive amount of that beer made, they certainly made enough to have in most of the Asheville, Waynesville, Boone, Winston Salem, and Brevard bottle shops. The real kicker is that Appalachian Vintner was selling the exact same 4 pack for $16.99. There is absolutely no reason that there should be a price discrepancy of this magnitude other than price gouging.When I read reviews of businesses online, I generally take sporadic poor reviews with a grain of salt. That being said, the number of well informed beer buyers that have checked comparable pricing in the same state and region and have come to the same conclusion that Tonic MRKT is overpriced should give you caution (check Yelp reviews for more of the same). I am not averse to spending a great deal of money on beers that are rare, small production, or hard to find. I am however very averse to markups and margins like those at Tonic MRKT. Please support local bottle shops, just not this one. There are plenty to choose from - Appalachian Vintner, Tasty Beverage, Brusin Ales, Asheville Wine Market, Local 604 Bottle Shop, The Whale. The best part about choosing any of the previously listed businesses, you dont get ripped off and you wont have to go to a mall filled with tourists to get your beer.
