Just had my chest done for.my daughter by Lance and he did a beautiful job. And not to mention everyone there is super nice and helpful everything is new clean and well kept awesome atmosphere!!!

Lantz is the absolute best! Very talented, professional, and just an all around great person. Ive had several tattoos done by him and I get lots of compliments on his work. Not to mention, by using his very own creation of body butter on my 2 mist recent tattoos, they have healed better and faster than any of my others! Go see him, you wont be disappointed!!

I recently got a dope tattoo from lust and lore tattoo. Not only did the artist have my design drawn up but the station also ready for me. I ended up walking out with an awesome tattoo and gratification. I love the peeps at lust and lore.

Love this place and what they do! Mary, or shmagpie on instagram, does great work and is so sweet. She’s given three of my friends some incredible art they’ll enjoy for a very long time! Highly recommend.

My first ink! They were amazing! Eric was the best! His as I call it bedside manner was incredible. He made sure I was totally comfortable throughout the entire process.

I was visiting from out of town and we decided (last minute) to get tattoos together. We were faced with the daunting task of finding a place that was available on short notice during Covid, and not only did Lust and Lore answer the phone (most other places did not), but they were very friendly and extremely accommodating. The receptionist told us shed see what she could do to get us booked and that shed call us back later that day...and she totally did! She put us in touch with one of the artists via his email address, and, Ill admit I had ZERO hope of a reply. Not only did he reply but he had availability for us the very next day, and was super willing to work with us to create the tattoo of the image we had in our heads. Lantz Crissman was our artist and he was very friendly, and was patient with us while he worked with us to hammer out the details. The place is also super clean - light and airy, and it was awesome to see the care Lantz took for sanitation and cleanliness with his station. His work was quick, looks great, and is healing really well. 10/10 would go back to him if I lived there! (*note - the tattoos look differently colored in the side by side only because of the lighting - they are actually exactly the same which is what we wanted!)

I cant say enough about how great my experience was! I had a good friend in town visiting and we thought wed try to get tattoos while she was here. It wasnt something wed planned ahead, it was sort of a spur of the moment thing, which is naturally made extra difficult in the time of COVID. We called several shops and most didnt even bother answering their phones. The staff not only answered quickly and cheerfully, they called us back within a short amount of time to schedule our visit for the next day with Lantz. Lantz worked with us on our design and delivered beautifully exactly what we wanted. The shop was bright and clean when we entered and everyone was following masking guidelines. Lantz was easygoing and fun to work with and Ill definitely be returning for future work!

I got my cartilage/helix pierced by Bryn when I was visiting Asheville a few weeks ago. She has a great bedside manner. I was a little nervous but was trying to be strong. She made me very comfortable and talked me through each step of the piercing. I will definitely be returning when i can!

Total disappointment! Scheduled a tat 3 days ago with Mary Thompson @schmagpie for today. Made the appointment thru Lust & Lore, paid the $50 deposit and received email confirmation. Had several conversations with Mary Thompson @schmagpie on Insta about my design and scheduling. Showed up today and she acted like she she knew nothing about my appointment. Tells me there has been a scheduling glitch on their computer and she didn’t have my contact info to get in touch with me, even though we had been in direct contact on Insta. Defensively apologizes but acts like I could just come back later, nbd. I had gone to Asheville from SC for my 40th birthday weekend and had planned the whole day around this tattoo, even left Grove Park early to make the appointment! To say I am FURIOUS is a gross understatement. As a salon owner, I cannot imagine turning a guest away with an “oh well” attitude, especially given my circumstances of it being a special occasion. Unprofessional, unreliable and careless!

I went with my mom on her birthday to get matching cartilage piercings- great experience! Brynn did a good, clean job on us and talked us through what she was doing. The atmosphere is cool and the separate booths are nice.

This place is fantastic! Warm, welcoming and aesthetically really beautiful. I got a really intricate henna inspired design by the incredibly talented River. She worked with me from start to finish, designing a unique tattoo for me from inspiration photos I sent her. She was really patient, kind and intuitive and I was blown away by her design and her work. She’s a true talent and it was a wonderful, magical and very comfortable experience. River is so awesome, I can’t sing her praises enough. If you book her you will walk away with a stunning, unique and beautiful piece of artwork!

I went in for a super simple tattoo literally asked for a traditional pigs head on a stake. And it looks like a little kid colored it in. No detail terrible shading.

Cannot recommend this shop enough. Friendly, helpful staff and a great atmosphere. They were able to squeeze us in for 2 tattoos same day walk-in. Doug went above and beyond! We will be back for sure!!!

Honestly had nothing but great expectations. Stopped in for a tattoo. Wanted to start small see where it went. Picked an artist made a time got told couldnt do it then an to come back so made a new appointment. For that appointment I recieved a txt maybe 45min before my appointment from the artist stating they hurt there back an could not do it. I really wanted this artist an had no issue waiting. Only thing is Ive tried to make new appointments an still have heard nothing an dont receive anything back. Very disappointed in service 😒 😕 😑 😞 😪

Doug @myfreshious has done two of my tattoos now and does excellent work! He customized and modified my designs as many times as I needed and checked back in at each step to make sure I was happy with the progress. Ill keep coming back!

River Dawn did an incredible job with my tattoo and made the process super meaningful. We really took the time together to work out the design of my tattoo to be exactly as I envisioned, we created an altar and made it a sacred space so the environment was awesome and fitting to the symbolism of the tattoo, and her attention to detail was everything!! River Dawn is incredibly talented and I’m so grateful I chose her to take this journey with me. My tattoo is perfect beyond perfect.

Eric at Lust and Lore provided my wife and I with the best tattoo experience we have ever had. We both have a few tattoos and have had some good experiences. But, this time around was remarkable. This is a great shop and Eric was fantastic. If we lived closer, this would be the only place I would go and Eric would be the only artist I work with. If youre in Asheville and looking for great tattoo work, go to Lust and Lore.

River does absolutely beautiful work. I have quite a few tattoos, but was nervous about getting my sternum done. She took time to work through ideas with me till we got everything the way I wanted. I got this 2 months ago and I entirely love it. Its so beautiful and has a lot of meaning to me. Every time I see it, it makes me smile. I love her work!!

My husband and I went today to get tattoos and were blown away with how kind and talented everyone was at Lust & Lore! Eric did our tattoos but we were constantly welcomed by everyone. Eric did an amazing job and took so much time to explain everything to us and had so much patience with all of our questions! We are definitely life-time customers of this shop now. Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!! :)

Awesome tattoo shop! My wife and I came in today to get some simple line work done and Eric KILLED it. Everyone in the shop was so friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. This was my first tattoo experience and I will be sure to come back in the future.

I recently had the pleasure of being blessed by River Dawn with a detailed Ganesha Bowie tattoo at the center of my chest. (Symbolic and personal) The piece is very very detailed, the lines are many, and the amount of tender concentration she gave l always feel to be indebted to her. I was made to feel very comfortable and supported in my decision to get another tattoo.The staff were personable, quick to engage and give a smile. ( Ive been in many other tattoo parlor/studios and I felt very unwelcome because I didnt fit a genre or facade.) Not the case with Lust and Lore. All were welcome.The studio was clean, a cool place with many things to grab your attention, fish, lizards, and skulls. Great art work from the other tattoo artist in the studio. They played a fun selection of music from, Ty segall, Danzig, Bowie, Faith No More, great random music selection.I am racking my brain as to what else I can add to the piece of personal art work River gave to me so I can get back on the table and have more of the experience. Last but not least, fair prices.A great place to get a tattoo.

I really can’t recommend this shop enough. I’ve gotten two tattoos done here, one by Eric and another by River. They make you feel so at home and so welcome. Almost like you’re part of the lil shop family. Every artist here is so talented beyond words.

@myfreshious was phenomenal. I was on vacation and went in for simple pinecone and he hooked it up! Super friendly and most important a soft hand. Dude was incredibly professional and Jenna was sublime. They made the experience feel like just stopping by a friends house to hang out. If you are looking for a relaxing but also professional atmosphere definitely make an appointment with him, although we were a walk in and they accommodated us with ease. Honestly considering flying up there for the rest of my tatttoos. Thanks guys superb job ❤️😎
