We really enjoyed walking around the store looking at unique products. We also had a free wine tasting and they had a lot of great wines. They also had other products for you to try. The prices seemed a little high for dinner products which is why I have it 4 stars.

I really like the Gate House Gift Shop at Biltmore Estate in Asheville as they have unique gifts and items for just about everyone you need to shop for. It is situated just outside the main entrance of the Biltmore Estate and it does not require that you pay admission to the Estate to be able to shop here. They have a wonderful wine tasting station that you can try as many of the Biltmore wines that they have available and they are generous with their servings. They have Biltmore wines that are on sale here that you can only exclusively purchase here or at the Biltmore Estate itself and are not available where else. They also have many different dips that can be samples with pretzel sticks that go well with the wine tasting. There is also many other great items available on sale here too that are available on discount and for a good value. The staff here is very friendly and patient and the check out is fast and simple and you can be on your way with all of your items.

Great little shop to plunder through. He has some unique things and if you are lucky the shop owner might be playing his banjo.

We always stop in to pick up a Christmas ornament memento, but last year we met Richard, the gentlemen who was sampling the Biltmore wines while we were there. Hes the reason we came back this year! He is super knowledgeable about the wines, hes entertaining, friendly and a great representative of the wines. (Which have greatly improved over the years!)

The staff is awesome!!! They were super friendly and accommodating. I was happy that I was at least able to sample a few wines here. I really didnt want to have to pay an entrance fee just to get wine at the Biltmore so this was perfect. I wish the shop was a little bigger and had a few more options. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is bc of the size. I was just under the impression there would be a little more to the shop.

Website shows that all gift shops open at 9:00. At 9:30 we saw someone in the Gate House shop to ask what time they opened. He said 10:00. I asked why the website and all their printed materials say 9:00. He answered, “that was pre- Covid.” It’s now the end of August. You’d think they could have put a sign in the window by now or at least updated their website. We wanted to buy some wine since the line was too long at the Winery yesterday.

Great place to shop. All the sales people are friendly. This shop is similar to a boutique. They sell wine. Christmas decor, unique gift items. I love shopping here.

Website states this store is open, but arrived to find out temporarily closed. Out of our way on our trip but would have been worth it. We’ve been here before and love to shop here. Should have updated your website!

Great little place with a lot of nice quality souvenirs. Staff was very pleasant and nice to talk with. Seemed the selection was perhaps more oriented towards older women, but still had something for everyone, even some children items. Worth a stop if youre looking for some nice gifts.

I was kinda of disappointed that I was not able to find any of the Christmas ornaments that you can find actually at the Biltmore house. I dont want to have to pay the price for admission to be able to find the ornaments I was looking for. It had become a yearly ritual to go to the Biltmore house every Christmas and buy an ornament for our 🌲. Now I would like to still be able to get these ornaments without going to see the house again.

Very neat little gift shop with a huge assortment of gift ideas or keepsakes for yourself. The size is small for so much stuff it was hard not to bump into things and having kids in the shop was scary. I still very much enjoyed it.

I was disappointed with my experience at the Biltmore Gatehouse Gift Shop. My wife and I like Biltmore wines and wanted to stock up while we were in town. Initially we planned to purchase around 6 bottles because that was all that would fit into our suitcase but we were told that it would only be $15 to have the wine sent to our house so decided to go this direction instead. We eventually selected 14 bottles which was great because apparently if you purchase more than 12, they give you a 20% discount. During check out we found out that if you ship more than 11 bottles, they charge $25 instead of $15 so we decided to take three with us. The person checking us out said that was not a problem. Then they said that they had to split the sale into two transactions: the first transaction for the bottles we were taking with us and the second for the bottles that would be shipping. This was not an issue for us so we said, it wasnt a problem. After we got the first receipt for the wine that was going to be shipped to our house, we noticed that we only got 15% off instead of 20%. When we questioned this, they explained it was because the first sale was for 11 bottles and not 12. I reminded them that I was purchasing 14 bottles, not 11. They explained that because they had to do this in two transactions because of how they had to process wine orders that were going to be shipped, the first transaction was only for 11 bottles. They said that if I had all 14 bottles shipped, I could do it in a single transaction and get the full 20% off. I said, I would but that I didnt think that it would be fair to charge me $25 for shipping since it was their back-end process that was forcing this process on me. At this point the asked the manager to assist and she explained that the vice president didnt allow them to do what I was asking. I said that I was surprised that the vice president didnt empower them to accommodate customers when it was their system that was causing the issue. In the end they would not budge so we asked them to cancel the transaction entirely and left without any wine. Ridiculous.On the up side, the person that was doing the wine tasting was very nice and so was the person that was checking us out. This issue really came down to either poor policy or poor management... or a little of both.

I cant begin by telling you how great the staff here is! Super friendly and helpful. I needed a second item which was not in inventory at the gate shop, so she called the other biltmore gift shop to bring one over for us! Exceptional service! The shop has many beautiful pieces and a great selection. I would definitely go back!

I love the Gate House Gift Shop at Biltmore. You can take part in a wine tasting, listen to music, purchase arts and gifts from Biltmore, and all without entering the grounds. The staff here are always very friendly and welcoming, and they have a good selection of bottles to purchase, if you just need to make a quick stop for gifts.

If you dont want to or otherwise cant make it to Antler Village, this is a great place to go for gifts and wine. They have a wine tasting area here as well as most of the samplers that may be found in the primary gift shop on the Biltmore grounds. Again, highly recommended if you dont want to make the drive into the property.

Always fun to see what is in the Gate House shop. There is a deal table upstairs, so venture there as well. Located at the entrance to Biltmore Estate, you do not need a ticket to shop there.

This is a good place to get souvenirs for Asheville. I enjoyed shopping for my family members even though they were not with me. The prices are affordable as well for everyones budget.

This gift shop always has a great variety of products, displayed as only the Biltmore Estate does, with plenty of customer service. This portion of the Biltmore Estate is free entry, so sometimes we do Christmas and other shopping here.

Wonderful things to see

Stuffy gift shop where they follow you around to make sure you dont steal anything. Listened to a customer get severely reprimanded for setting his selections on the counter to free up his hands to buy more. Snobby, unfriendly staff that treats you like a criminal suspect at all times.
