Always a great experience! Great beers, cocktails are wonderful, all of the food Ive had as been amazing. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Close enough to my home that it has been my go-to spot in the area, and Ive never had a complaint! Bonus- feminine hygiene products in the ladies restroom (actual baskets of products, not the machines that havent been refilled since 1985). LGBTQ+ friendly.
A nice little neighborhood bar in downtown Silver Spring. My fiancé, puppy (they are pet-friendly) and I stopped by for a drink and we enjoyed it. Every time I walk by, this place is packed. The staff are friendly, there’s multiple drink options, and many appetizers. I’m glad we finally took the time to stop by, we will definitely be back soon.
Great platform beer apparently but i got the cocktail instead. The painkiller cocktail was creamy and sweet which was nice to refreshen oneself from the hot summer heat. The waiters and waitresses are extremely attentively, probably because there wasnt so many people there but they definitely came to us every almost every 15 minutes after we were almost done with our drinks. I had a feeling they are very encouraging to order more but one was enough for us that day. But the people are very friendly.
Jaime and Patrick are literally Kings of the universe. They are such kind and genuine caring spirits and they deserve nothing but the best. They truly made our little celebration night absolutely unforgettable and I cannot stress enough how much they make this establishment so much better in every aspect. The beer is also outstanding and you cannot go wrong with their recommendations. But besides the point - True Kings work here and deserve your unyielding support. If for whatever reason you are in the Downtown Silver Spring area and do not stop here you will be sorely mistaken and miss out on the most genuine and supportive experience of your life.
Visited yesterday and enjoyed it! Theres a Biergarten outside and plenty of seating indoors. Theres a QR code at each table for ordering and staff was plentiful and friendly.We tried the soft pretzels - nothing special but a good snack with a few beers.
Really tasty beer and great selection. I love the Thunder Gnome Saison and Nitro Stout the most, but they have beers of every variety. Not much food selection, mainly a great place to get good beer and relax in a chill environment with plenty of outdoor seating.
A fun brewery vibe and nice location. All of the staff are so friendly and fast—making it a great spot to hang with friends. The tacos are delicious (ask for onions on the side if you aren’t a fan of a large amount per taco), along with the rice/beans. I don’t drink beer (celiac) but their selection was impressive. Good pricing too.
Great beer and a wonderful atmosphere to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.The brunch menu looked really tasty, but I wish that I would have had the option to order more traditional bar snacks.
First time visit. Went about 6:30pm on a Tuesday for beer and grub. Decent sized crowd outside, but still a handful or more open tables. Took ~10 min to be noticed and had to flag a server to get someone to come over.After that the service was good and staff was very friendly, chipper and attentive.Great beer selection and something for most tastes.Found out it was taco Tuesday and 2 for $5. Tacos were delish! Only issue was that the corn tortillas had some blow outs and the broke on the bottom. Would have been a good candidate for double tortillas on each taco. Next time I will ask if thats an option. I like them better that way anyway.

Had an excellent experience at Silver Branch.. The beers were Great.. As I got different types of beer their Beer tender (Jaime) explained the origin of each beer.. Extremely knowledgeable, as were the staff.. Management was also extremely polite! Great environment! Super recommend to Visit!!!!
Silver Branch Brewing Company has quickly become a vital part of the downtown Silver Spring area. Yeah their beer is great, yeah their employees are fantastic and truly care about their products and service but it truly is so much more than that. Right when the COVID 19 lockdown started Silver Branch was the ONLY place around I could find flour or yeast for quite some time and lets be real theres not a huge profit margin there. However, they did it because they had a resource they could provide to the community.This place continues to adapt, to try new things, to be different, and not just with their beer. They collaborate with the local community, listen to feedback, and step their game up every day. Youll find they regularly host resident chefs for special themed food nights. Last year for the Holiday season they brought in some amazing local makers and vendors for a pop up holiday market. They regularly rotate out art in their taproom to showcase new artists. In their COVID response they expanded their outdoor seating, popped open the garage door out front for walk up take out, and even asked me if I wanted my credit card disinfected before returning it to me. The newer cocktails theyve been experimenting with (available in takeout kits) are amazing. The Pink Guava Margarita over the summer was a personal favorite of mine.But of course youre here for the beer right? I havent forgotten, thats amazing too (obviously). Nearly every time they have a new release Im there. Even when the food service industry struggles in the world that is 2020 Silver Branch still have had several releases this year that donated to some amazing causes. Their Black is Beautiful Black IPA was not only delicious but the proceeds benefited The Sentencing Project. Yeah this is a long review, but this place does a lot. TL;DR Silver Branch is amazing all around
My husband and I went here for the first time. Honestly I’m not a fan of beer, but I did really like their cocktails, the orange one was so delicious!! Tasted like an orange creamsicle. I like it so much I purchased the to go bottles. I do not recommend these. They don’t taste like the drinks in the bar. My drink was super sour and I didn’t like it at all.We also had the nachos with bier cheese, and they were absolutely delicious!! The service is also fantastic, and the guys that serve red us were nice and polite. We will definitely go back!!
Glass castle is awesome! Brett is pretty cool too! We had some beer delivered and the delivery was perfect. Cant wait to visit the brewery (once I complete both my vaccines!) Well done, Silver Branch!
Only reason I’m giving 3 stars is the wait time I’ve experienced in my two visits since moving to the area.Each time I’ve waited close to 10 minutes before someone serving me….and then this last time (I’ll admit it was a trivia night) waited at least 12-15 minutes for 1 beer. I’ve been to countless trivia nights back where I moved from…and never had to wait that long. Regardless of what’s going on….you should never have customers wait that long for drinks. Any bar/brewery professional will tell you that much.They’re the best beer selection (IMHO) of the 3 breweries in Silver Spring, and the atmosphere is great. I want this to be my go-to place….but not if the wait is like it has been. In my experience….just seems like they’re trying to do too much too soon and not having the appropriate staff levels to match….they’re just over extending themselves. Really hoping when I go back eventually the wait times decrease.
Best brewery in the area! This place was my last outing before the pandemic hit and my first one post pandemic. I always have an amazing time. The atmosphere is always fun, the drinks and food are delicious and the customer service is amazing!

Big outdoor bier garden. Mostly just picnic tables between office buildings, but it is outdoors and very comfortable. Live music was a great touch on a Thursday evening All the beers tasted were very enjoyable.
Silver Branch is an excellent brewery. They have some of the most innovative and above the trends beers. Their staff is personable, knowledgeable and truly make you feel like Silver Branch is a second home, but full of beer of course. Do yourself a favor and give them a visit, and dont forget to check out their special events.
One of the best breweries I’ve ever been to! No matter what beer I order I’m always amazed by how great they taste! The people that work here truly make it feel like a huge family and at the end of the day I consider them my family 🙏🏽.

My boyfriend and I happened upon this place while traveling, and we were SO THRILLED! Such a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. Our server, Jaime, was fantastic. He was kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and gave great beer recommendations! All of the staff was friendly and warm and receptive. I left with so much beer to take home and I can’t wait to crack open a can of my Unicycle Vigilante. Can’t recommend this place enough!
Silver Branch is a great place for a chill weekday night or a more dolled up weekend night out. The staff is attentive, the beers are delicious, and although not foremost in anyones mind on a night out for craft beers, the food is also definitely worth an order (especially the pretzels!) I also really appreciate how understanding the staff is for different needs, such as allergies or those in a group that dont partake of alcohol. This is a great Downton Silver Spring establishment and highly worth a visit.
My first outing since the pandemic and I must say the experience was incredible. Great service and great beer I recommend the Barrel aged Chronicle. Had a blast!

I LOVE Silver Branch. A not so hidden gem, great beer, great staff, great atmosphere and great food! They also have a monthly subscription and theyll hook you up with a free six pack a month and a discount on purchases. that is a good value if you find yourself buying lots of beer from them, which you will if you like good beer! I like the Abbey Single, Beyond the Gnome World, and the Gilded Age. Cant go wrong here really.
This our favorite brewery in town for sure!!! We always bring our friends and family here when they’re in town. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The selection of beer is great and they are always introducing new flavors. I’m really happy to see how alive the metro station area of silver spring has become thanks to silver branch!

I really wanted this to work out - an opportunity to both support a local business and enjoy an interesting and affordable wine selection. I have had multiple issues with deliveries ranging from miscommunication to the delivery person being outright rude, or non responsive. I deliberately ask for a later delivery time but it is rarely considered which creates conflict since I cannot come to the door to show my ID. In these occasions I’ve had delivery people snap at me. I had been left a delivery without notice, in the lobby on the floor, or was made to go outside to the entry way for pickup. When speaking to management the tone was curt and dismissive suggesting I should order on Saturday because that would work better for me since I can’t be flexible with the drivers. The last time I ordered I was given a replacement bottle of wine that is cheaper than what I had ordered and given a gratuitous can of Diet Coke. Maybe to make up the cost difference?I’ve always tipped 20% - 25% and this is the first (and probably last time) I’ve voiced my concerns. I am sure that over the past year or so I’ve spent over $1000 with Silver Branch Brewing delivery service. I’m not sure what the logic is here, but if making loyal customers leave is the goal - they’re achieving it.
The Squeegee Master Göse and It’s Going Swimmingly IPA are great summer beers. The breakfast tacos are A++ too!
This is feedback not criticism. I went there at a busy time. Unlimited popcorn is made in a tiny machine that belongs on a personal kitchen. There was a person dedicated to making popcorn for the whole venue. Not a very good use of that persons time, especially when the bar and tables needed tending. Something to rethink. Also, not enough beer menus at the bar and tables. This is after all a brewery. The bar was unattended (afternoon of 3/9). You had to yell at the waiters for attention because there were so busy serving the tables. It took about 10 min for everyone sitting at the bar to get somebodys attention. No complain about service once achieved. Finally, having a cocktail menu is nice but it takes so long for waiters to prepare them that it slows down the whole place. I felt that the place was understaffed for a busy time but I understand there is a learning curve. I plan to go back and I hope the feedback is useful.

Great beer, great people, great location off of Metro... every Thursday is cask night, just like it should be... periodic celebrations of historical and culturally relevant beer-related festivitities... brewery releases a new beer every week; often bringing back favorites as well as pushing their craft forward. Nationally-recognized, gold medal winning saison/farmhouse ale is a must have; Czech pilsner is easily one the best. It gets busy but the service is stellar. Indoor table seating and outdoor biergarten style seating. Park in the garage on 2nd and Cameron... after 6:00 and on the weekends its free.EXPERIENCE GEMÜTLICHKET @ Silver Branch!

My partner and I moved a one year ago and Silver Branch Brewing is one of the first places we went to and the brewery has been a staple to the Silver Spring community and our daily routines ever since!The immediate welcome we receive by either Malinda, Lily, Miles, or Patrick and many others is nothing short of familiar. Seeing both of the owners, Christian and Brett work alongside the staff is an example of the care and love they put into their business.If my friends have a bad day, its Silver Branch. If were celebrating a birthday, its Silver Branch. If we want to show our visiting family and friends what Silver Spring has to offer, its Silver Branch.The beer is excellent and rotates regularly to match the season. The food offerings, although small (remember, the specialty is their beer!), always hit the spot and are delicious!Thank you to the staff at Silver Branch for always being attentive, inclusive, and open for a great time!
The beer is amazing and constantly changing. The food is delicious, we just had the tamales, which were wonderful. Plus the outdoor patio is huge and very pleasant. Its also near a parking garage and the metro. Higgly recommend
This is a great new brewery. They have a few table games (Janga, Connect Four, Deck of Cards) and floor games (Bag-O/Cornhole and foosball). And the best item on their menu, for bar food, is the endless popcorn for $5. They offer salt, pepper, and old bay and will bring new bowls out until you leave. I’ll have to go back to try their other menu items.
Not thrilled with the lack of communication from tonights trivia night, which was dubbed as a patio event. When we showed up, with our dog, we were told it had been moved inside despite the temperature at 80 degrees. We were looking forward to a fun evening out, and no communication was given on social media about moving trivia indoors. Not everyone is comfortable doing things indoors right now because of the pandemic.Silver Branch has mostly done a good job through the pandemic, but this really put a damper on our night.

Silver Branch is right across the street from our apartment and since the day it opened it has always been our favorite brewery in the area! The staff is ultra nice and extremely knowledgeable. There is always a new style beer to try and they absolutely nail it! During the pandemic they adapted quickly and professionally, opening up their garage doors for carry out orders and allowing online ordering. They have since opened their outdoor areas and ensured every Covid-19 precaution was being taken, especially during their Oktoberfest celebrations. They’ve built a strong connection with the community from the get-go, anyone who walks through the door is an instant regular. Love this brewery, excited for what they brew up next!

After a year of living in Downtown Silver Spring, going to Silver Branch truly feels like coming home. The staff and overall vibes of the brewery exude fun-loving and familial. With delicious beer, cocktails, food and good times, there really is no better place to be after work and on weekends. And with the bonus of Trivia Wednesdays with Adam, I know my crew will continue to make Silver Branch our weekly meeting spot. HIGHLY recommend 11/10, Cheers!

One of my favorite places to go to in Maryland. I wish Silver Branch was around when I was younger. Great place to just chill with friends, play board games, and enjoy great beer. The staff is always very welcoming and are always down to answer any beer questions you have. If you haven’t been yet I definitely recommend stopping by.

There is a great variety of of beers and there is also delicious cocktails. You even have the option to take beer and drinks to go. I highly suggest you visit Silver Branch!
Look, where to begin...if youve havent been to Silver Branch then you dont know what you are missing. This brewery has been open for less than 1&1/2 years and its by far my favorite brewery in the ENTIRE DC metro region, full stop.SB has the nicest staff & the BEST beer around. Also for all those posting negative reviews in 2020, give them a break IT IS 2020. I can say I have not felt safer at any other venue during the pandemic like I do at SB.If you like great beer, good people and good vibes then Silver Branch is for you.
Silver Branch is a wonderful addition to the craft brew/burgeoning brewery scene in Silver Spring. Not only do they feature delicious brews (Witbiers, IPA, English ales, and Ciders), but their cocktails are delicious (REAL tonic made on premises!) and they have a very nice wine selection. Centrally located near the Silver Spring metro and featuring outdoor seating, this is the happy hour and night out destination!

Excellent selection of beers, particularly saisons, stouts, and IPAs. The enormous beer garden with a few fire pits, and spacious interior welcome many. Location at Silver Spring Metro Station and near public parking garages makes it easy to visit. Do check it out, if you havent! My wife and I just went there today 3/3/2021 for the brewerys 2nd birthday, and were so glad it made it through the worst of the pandemic with many of us supporting it and other neighboring businesses through this rough stretch. Great beer. Friendly service. Excellent set up for social distancing. Awesome atmosphere. My wife & I went and had an enjoyable time. All the beer we tried was divine and the staff is wonderfully passionate about the beer. They shared stories about the beer collaborations and what the brewery is doing during Covid. We look forward to returning and enjoying more great beer.

Huge patio with lots is space for outdoor beer drinking. This is the place for Covid drinking. Beer is great, too. I loved the Chronicle Stout.

Love, love, love. Great staff, great space/atmosphere, and really great beer. Its hard to believe how young of a place they are. Their brewed beer list is long and so delicious. I tried 8 beers and enjoyed every one of them (especially Metro Gnome and Sacred Table). Highly recommend.
A group of us went in on a Thursday evening to find the place absolutely packed. We were struggling to find a place for us to gather, but then a server noticed us and asked if we needed help. He ended up going into the back and getting a whole new table with benches for us to use. It was perfect, and they really went above and beyond to make us comfortable.Also the beer is great. 10/10 would go again.

We had such a wonderful experience at this brewery! Candice was so attentive and took care of our orders quickly and with a smile. We liked the pretzels and really enjoyed the Silver Century beer. I hope they never change it -- thats my favorite. The place is bright, can handle large parties as well as individuals, and the staff keeps it clean. We hope to stop by again soon.
