Wasnt sure what to expect and was good overall. Goat cheese curds were different, not my thing but others liked them. Beef filets and skirt steak were great. Pork chop was possibly the best one he ever had. Drinks we good too. So the food was great and the decor was eclectic. Nobody understood the decor.
We visited all three of Vanderpump’s restaurants while in LA. Maybe because of the hype of the show this one was least concerned with service. We had a reservation at the bar that wasn’t available when we arrived. Once seated it took forever to get a drink and then to order food. Drink was good but skip the tuna, it was not good!
1)Metropolitan cocktail2) Bread with Balsamic butter and Chimichurri3) Charcuterie4) I had Shrimp Fettuccine5)Jamie had Tomahawk Pork Milanese6) T had Grilled Prime Skirt SteakIm not sure what went on in the production of that tomahawk Pork Milanese but that thing was fire! I wasnt expecting that! The Charcuterie was completely different from what I pictured in my head. I thought it wouldve came on a board and had a little more to it. Not what I was expecting but everything tasted good on it. Especially the honeycomb and pickled veggies. Overall cool friendly place. Parking was a nightmare. So if you go, you might get lucky finding street parking or have to valet for $20.
The ambiance of this place is to die for!! The service was exceptional. Unfortunately the food was just okay and so were the cocktails. Id recommend it for lunch or early bite but it wasnt so great for dinner. My friends and I were happy to have experienced SUR anyway! Check them out but lower your expectations when it comes to the food.
I didn’t know anything about this place or the show it’s from, but the people in my group were excited about it and as someone who has lived in LA for almost 20 yrs it was fun to see how some people see LA.The atmosphere in the outside section is well done and enjoyable. In my experience it felt like it was set up to attract and impress people who like the show but really how different is that from other nice places? They have a vegan impossible burger! I liked it though everyone else in my party said their food was just okay.
Our server was great, I wish I could remember his name. Very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed my mixed drink “the big pinky” is what I believe it was called.Unfortunately I don’t have much to rave about otherwise. The food was really overpriced, not super warm or flavorful. The goat cheese balls appetizer was roughly $15 and only comes with 3 little balls. Our table was practically touching another so there was no privacy to enjoy conversation. It was cool seeing a few cast members from the show, and the restaurant in real life, but I expected a little more.
I visited here last week since I am a fan of the show. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with its vibrant colors and elegant decor. The drinks were very tasty. The Parisian Pear was my favorite. Loren, the bartender, was also great and loved talking to him. As for the food, the goat cheese balls was very overpriced. $15 for three tiny balls is just a ripoff. For the lobster ravioli, the flavors were there but for almost $30 I’d expect the presentation to be better. I’d come here for drinks but for food I’d dine elsewhere.
It’s okay. Waiter was amazing and very patient! The hostess was also nice and understanding (we changed seats twice). The 2 star rating is because it’s just a regular restaurant. I don’t understand the hype around it. I got the lobster ravioli, nothing great to comment on. It was 5/7 pieces of ravioli. Dessert was amazing, highly recommend the vanilla flan, with dolce!!! And the bathroom is gender neutral if that matters to anyone.
Went here with my friend who loves the show! We both were pleasantly surprised at how great the food was for the cost! Definitely get the goat cheese balls. I had the skirt steak which was amazingly grilled in a fire, had the nice char taste. The hostess was super sweet and gave us lots of recommendations too!
Sir was an eclectic paradise of fun with perfect customer service. The only thing missing was a visit from The Quern herself. We both ordered the amazing pasta. The Manhattan & Pink Fizz will definitely sneak up on you with their powerful punch bit scrumptious taste.
I can’t say I loved the food here but I still enjoyed my time here. They have great decor and strong cocktails.I did not like the goat cheese balls. The breading was thick and did not taste fresh. The carbonara was probably the highlight of the meal. The dumplings and crab cakes were fine, not the best I’ve had and not the worst.
Staff was 10/10 - Carlos our waiter was very nice. And the goat cheese balls are genuinely to die for.
We just came for snacks and drinks, so take this with a grain of salt. The cocktails were good, but on the fresher side with juices, sparkling water, lime etc. If youre looking for a booze forward cocktail like a Boulevardier or a Penicillin you wont find it here. We also got some chicken dumplings which were ok, but the chicken center was dense, more like a Vietnamese meat ball.Service was slow though. It took a long time for anyone to come over. Perfectly professional when we did have interactions though.
Finally experienced the SUR experience. Service was great!Food and presentation was mediocre not worth the price tag that came at the end of the night. The cucumber and pear martini were delicious and worth it.Starters bluefin tuna tartare, it was ok not to die for.Little gem Caesar salad, had way better. Seared Ora king Salmon and broccolini, Salmon was moist with a charred seared top the flavors did not go well with the base pistachio, egg plant, caponata salsa.I understand its an infused Italian setting. It was cold and not enjoyable.Still enjoyed being there and say I was able to see the Vanderpump reality tv show restaurant. If you are going to spend over two hundred then the food should be top notch.Maybe, when I am back in town again. I will try a different dish but this will not be my first choice in LA. better restaurant out there for that price.
I went to the restaurant over Memorial Day weekend. I was impressed. Ive watched SUR since it started and always wanted to visit the restaurant. I went with low expectations because Ive been to other reality TV places that did not have the best service. I will say I was extremely impressed with the service--even got to meet Peter! We saw Peter be very attentive to other tables and ours. The food and the atmosphere were great! Id highly recommend this place, especially if youre a fan!
Great service, food and drinks! I would recommend.
Nice dinner. If you want a dinner with a lounge vibe youll love it here. We opted for eating outside and it was a garden style atmosphere. Food was good, not great. But good enough for the $150 for 2 so I wasnt upset about paying so much
The different vineyards from the Sonoma county are all very different and very wonderful. And, being as the folks who are serving the wine are all Sonoma grown folks and have information about the vineyards themselves...well, thats just a bonus. They know their stuff. And I loved that the folks that we talked to werent all about Buy from our vineyard and only our vineyard! They were happy to say Oh...check out that one over there or Ours is good, but if you want something stronger, they might have what youre looking for. It was really nice to know that they were trying to help us, in whatever way that may be.
Everything about this experience was great! The service was friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful and the vibes were immaculate! Looking forward to going back again!
Love this place! Its beautiful & the drinks & food are delicious. Hostesses were very kind. Took my best friend for her birthday & were huge fans of the show. They originally sat us outside but we wanted to sit inside to get the full feel of the restaurant, especially for my besties 1st time eating there. Made her birthday even better. Cant wait to go back again!
Overall the food was great and staff was very kind and attentive. Prices were where you would expect them for a nice place in a major city (high). Although, for a restaurant with such hype (and I really didnt know until our friend who made the reservation told us), it was pretty quiet on a Saturday night in summer. I had lobster bisque, tried the crab cakes, and a chicken dish as entrée, plus a taste from a few desserts - all delicious!
Food was amazing and the service was great. I brought my 9 and 11 year old daughter and they were treated like they belonged there. We were even told that we should come back that night but couldnt due to travel plans. I would definitely come back here. Plus, as a fan of the show, it was extremely cool to see the actual restaurant and meet Peter.
What an amazing night...food, drinks, music, atmosphere and top service...everything just great. Will definitely go back!
Food n service is good.. price range is decent.. update business hours on phone voice-mail n web page
Of course we went to SUR because we are huge fans of Lisa Vanderpump & VPR. Certainly overpriced, but the food was good and the drinks were worth the money - they don’t skimp on the alcohol. Sydney was the perfect server and I am so happy we had her for this experience!
Had so much fun just experiencing the atmosphere. The food was good dessert was amazing.
Max was awesome. beautiful restaurant! nice ambience and delicious food. i recommend the pork chops and blackberry cobbler
Before heading to the Abbey, make sure you pre drink at Sur for cocktails and of course goats cheese balls. They really are delicious. Sur is so big and is such a maze I find. Every table is a different experience, this time we were in the lounge area near the bathrooms, great for people watching and quick drinks.
Came from Chicago to come to SUR Lounge, I’m a huge HUGE fan so I came not only to be where the action was of one of my favorite Bravo shows, but also to have a great dining experience. I was not disappointed. At all. Dining-They had a great selection of cocktails, there is something for everyone here no matter what your drink preference is. I found my drink very good and recommended by staff. Food- excellent. 5 star, we ordered 3 menu items all perfectly cooked and as a self proclaimed foodie I can be picky. If you come to West Hollywood for food SUR is the place. Beautiful atmosphere. To my most exciting part and for all the VP Rules fans...you likely won’t be disappointed. Not only did Peter make a stop to say hello, but he actually waited on us. My highlight was spotting Max who was generous enough to take a photo, me being a huge fan of his personally. They were all very kind w my awww to being there and having the chance to meet them. They chatted with me a minute and was very gracious hosts. I couldn’t be happier, it made my trip and its an experience I’ll remember forever.
Quite a lovely time, food was delicious. Tried the house rose delightful, beautiful decor. I am a fan of the show so I geeked out a bit. I was so excited to see Peter Raquel, and Guillermo, missed Lisa happy mothers day to me happy birthday to my daughter and celebration of the family being fully vaccinated. GREAT place to celebrate 🥂
Very elegant. Great food. Perfect staff service.
Huge Fan! Perfect Experience! Made res for Tuesday Night over the summer. We were sat immediately upon arrival. Met a lot of the Cast of the show adored all the different spaces. Might have drank to much! Our food was so tasty. We stayed for James Kennedy’s set and had the best time major social atmosphere! Made plans with some local gals and even met up with themNext day! Such and evening experience!!
I loved this restaurant. Upon walking in we were promptly greeted and seated. The restaurant is beautiful! The servers were wonderful and made some great suggestions. All of our food was delicious. We had the lamb and shrimp Alfredo pasta. The lamb was perfectly cooked and everything was well seasoned. The restaurant is the perfect blend of fun night out along with great food and drinks. We were celebrating my son’s birthday and they were very sweet with him. I would definitely visit this restaurant when in LA again.
Went to visit my son in LA we decided to go to Sur so disappointed in the food it was mediocre at best. Red Lobster top the food at this restaurant however the service was great our server was attentive and friendly and the cocktails were delicious. Will not go back bill was 300.00 but the food was worth 10.00
I have wanted to visit since I started watching Vanderpump rules years ago, so it was a very exciting experience. My friends and I had a great time, the bartenders and drinks were great and the food was equally as good. Our server Georgina was awesome!! I had one disappointment, and that was not seeing any of the cast from the show, however I didnt really expect to see any. I would def come again and recommend.
My husband and I came from Atlanta and let me tell you....SUR is amazing! The food, service and atmosphere is beyond my imagination. We dont get many trips just the two of us and this made my year! Thank you SUR for making us feel welcome and special!
Good service very Melo the flat meat was oh so good. But fries were basic. They need to change the fries to house season fries.
This place is amazing super cool it reminds me the beautiful cools bars of Buenos Aires city. Or París.. i absolutely recommend this place . Only thing I dont have idea are the prices. It doesnt look cheap at all. ( It should be super expensive though)
Drinks were delicious! The food on the other hand was not.. Not fresh and everything seemed like they just popped it in the microwave and/or was frozen. Because of Covid you scan the menu to come up on your phone. The PDF menu and the menu online are not the same.. Which changed a few of our orders/sides. The waitress was not interested in suggesting anything we should get. They also charged us for water which I have not seen in the states ever. The flowers were fake on the table as well. I would suggest having a cocktail here then eating elsewhere and end your night at TomTom which was incredible!
This restaurant is definitely all hype. We were seated by the hostess it literally took 20 minutes for a server to come over to us. Mind you the restaurant is hacked empty and no ones in there the service are just standing around talking to each other. Our waiter finally came over, he couldnt seem to keep our order correct. We ordered the goat cheese meatballs, absolutely disgusting! They were cold like they had been sitting all day. We both ordered the skirt steak with the sauteed spinach that at least was delicious. The wait staff here is so consumed with how they look versus providing adequatdelicious. I dont recommend this restaurant. In a half empty restaurant it should never take over 20 minutes for the waiter/waitress to approach their tables to even bring them water.
First visit to SUR. Ive already penned it in my book to go once a month. The food was fantastic. My lobster ravioli, was lovely. Drinks devine. Service spectacular. Dessert a must save for. I need to go back, just to dine in their different rooms. A wonderful experience. For myself and family visiting. From the east coast.
Much better then I anticipated. Food was delicious, service was great and ambiance was to be expected. For a famous place I expected to be disappointed.
Super surprised by everything... Charli was an amazing server. Entrees were great...apps were high priced for what you got, champagne was about $25 dollars more than needed to be.... but I would come back!
Service is amazing. I prefer going before the after-sunset crowd files in, because I lots of attention.
The staff was so great, we were not comfortable at a table they seated us at and they immediately made it right by moving us and were very nice about it. The manager Peter was so nice and friendly.
My friend watches Vanderpump Rules so she was excited about eating here. We were pleasantly surprised. The service from beginning to end was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The food was great, I had the salmon and my friend had the skirt steak. Will definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice place to eat with great service and a very nice ambiance!!
An overpriced Olive Garden!!! My friends and I were excited to celebrate our friend’s birthday at SUR BUT Everyone at the table were utterly disappointed, from the drinks to the appetizers to the entrées. Vanderpump’s vodka was an overly priced Smirnoff. It was basic and tasteless which was pretty much the theme of the night. The chicken steamed dumplings was tasteless along with the grilled skirt steak. The Chicken Milanese Napolitana tasted like an Olive Garden chicken parmigiana. OVERALL the food and drinks were a massive letdown and disappointment. It did not live up to the hype. The staff were the only good part of the experience because everything else was a letdown even the flowers on the table which were fake!!! Yelp had an accurate review of this restaurant. NEVER AGAIN!
My short rib and tuna tartar was amazing. The service was okay.
Best service ever Dana is good bartender max is lisa son is good Jeremy the bartender is great an peter the manager is awesome best service and food ever will be coming back an I am a fan of the show and will be coming service was amazing good job lisa
Goat cheese amazing. Bread amazing. Interior decoration amazing. Staff gorgeous and extremely helpful. Kitchen staff extremely friendly. Mucho gusto. All the guests super beautiful as well. Highly recommend posting up at this joint for 90 minutes any day. Food prices extremely reasonable. Maybe bring a flask in for the Tito’s tho.
What an amazing restaurant!!! The staff is super friendly, the decor is beautiful, the food is delicious and the drinks are well worth the price. I had the fried goat cheese balls as an entree with the chicken lemon picata with roasted potatoes and grilled veggies as my main meal. The fried goat cheese balls were incredible, the chicken was perfectly cooked and flavoured.Whether youre vegan, gluten free or vegetarian youll be able to find something delicious on the menu.
Beautiful people Beutiful restaurant and hostess Sydney is a total babe ❤️
Beautiful restaurant, pleasant staff the food was ok. I love going to Beautiful places but I go to restaurants to eat and I wasnt quite impressed but the ambiance made it worth the trip.
Not nearly as impressive as what TV makes it out to be. Cramped seating essentially put us right next to someone (our tables were 6 inches apart). Food was mediocre though the swordfish was good. We got our appetizer about 1 min after we ordered it... Which means they were ready to go pre-made. Youll get treated like cattle as they try and flip tables for the next seating. Further the temperature was in the low 60s and nobody seemed to care. We froze the whole time. Better to save your dollars for better value at the same price point... Many other options available.
Worst experience ever! Don’t waste your money here. We came so excited asked for recommendations and the salad was literally no taste, lobster ravioli like 5 pieces swimming in extra water from the spinach... it’s expensive and poor food. A big mistake chosen this place. Never coming back.
We were so excited to visit this place and were honestly pretty underwhelmed. We waited at the host stand (not exaggerating) for probs alt 15 minutes and nobody noticed us. We were finally sat and the staff was fine, not like the nicest, but fine. The food was pretty good. The goat cheese balls were great, and my salad was good. But again, just not super awed by the experience and quality of food.
This was a must do on my and my daughters LA list. It did not disappoint! Service, food and ambiance was the best! Charli was very attentive and super friendly! $15 dollars for 3 small goatcheese balls was a little much, but overall a great experience!
So underwhelming, food was bland, I could have done better at home. But nice decor, and good service 😊
Had to visit this place cause I low key have watched all the seasons of Vanderplump rules haha. I was not expecting much but was so surprised by the amazing experience we had. The service was that of a top restaurant. Everyone was helpful and willing to get you what you need regardless if they are serving your table or not. Our waiter (from Argentina) made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The food was amazing we had the chicken dumplings, salad, chicken Milanese, and the lobster ravioli. All the food was top quality and tasted very fresh. We also had the chocolate cake for dessert which was also top grade. I would definitely come back to this place when I am town for the food. I didn’t even touch on the atmosphere, from the decor, to the music ….the vibe is on point for every demographic. We saw couple, families and just friends all around . Definitely a must try if you are around. We made reservations via opentable.
The ambience is nice, but thats pretty much all this place has going for it. The food and cocktails are overpriced and underwhelming. Youre essentially paying to say that you went to the Vanderpump restaurant. I told my friends that this place is essentially the Disney character breakfast but for Vanderpump Rules.
Great atmosphereMore like a family garden patioDinning at its bestFood looks and tastes greatCocktails are also availableParking is also available in nearby lots
Special thanks to server Gabrielle for making our night amazing.Food was also phenomenal and atmosphere was amazing. Clean place with the right vibe would come back next time Im in the areaEverything easily labeled gluten free which is very helpfulDrinks were also amazing and food came out super fast, loved this spot would recommend to anyone looking for good food in this area with a nice relaxing atmosphere
Nothing special. Drinks are ok food is ok. Sat outside so it was a bit annoying that the tree leaves were falling but not a big deal.
We could only get dinner reservations at 9:30... got there and waited at the bar for our friends...bartender very cordial... and made me a special delicious drink...I ordered Angel Hair pasta... which was flavorful... atmosphere was nice but music was too loud we couldn’t speak to one another and lights turned down too dark you can’t see menu/food you’re eating... Overall I would go again...
This was truly a dream come true! Ive watched the show from day one and to actually be here in person tonight, I have no words! Lisa vanderpump is my queen and she didnt let me down! Decor, cleanliness, friendly staff, FOOD!!! all on point! I would recommend this place to anyone, again if you see this Lisa vanderpump I love you more then anything in the world!!!
The restaurant was amazing. Food was really good too
I went to Sur on a Saturday night. Had a reservation. We were seated at the front in kind of a patio section. I get what they are trying to do with the drapes but it just looks a little dated. Time for a renovation I think.Ok... the food was delicious. It was a very simple style of food... nothing fancy. I think they should elevate the menu. It’s time! I had the crispy chicken and it was great... but it’s just chicken and for $30 they could put a twist on it. Steak was good also. The potstickers were tasty. The desserts, one was a cobbler with ice cream and the other was a crepe with dulce de Leche. Very nice. I ordered a margarita with a tajin rim and they said they didn’t carry tajin. That’s pretty strange for a full bar in West Hollywood.Go once, you go twice though.
Great fast service, great vibes, awesome music, and kindness all around! The food was absolutely divine.
How’s your cacio e pepe?
Of course I had to check it out due to the show Vanderpump rules. Much smaller than on TV but it had a good crowd going on the weekend in the bar area. Most people are dancing and being white girl wasted. Music was catchy and was good enough for one drink.
First time visit. Good food but service not so much. Hardly saw our waitress. Nice environment and atmosphere.
Two crab cakes, Caesar salad, a glass of pinot noir red wine. Beverly Hills California restaurant.
