So disappointing. We were expecting an Italian restaurant but were surprised when it was an old diner. We were confused and thought we had walked into the wrong restaurant. There were only 2 other people in there eating (Saturday at 7pm), so that should’ve been a warning sign. They need to take the “Italian” completely out of their description. I think the linguine with alfredo was microwaved, it tasted like a Lean Cuisine. We are surprised at the number of positive reviews.

Excellent small town hangout. Folks in the lounge are friendly, and Jan the bartender is fantastic and funny. Ill be visiting again next time Im in town.
Friendly service. Nice deli atmosphere with historical photos. Service was slow (unfortunately common in covid era, I appreciate any service at all these days). Prices were fair. Portions were on small side. Food was tasty! Oddly, no thousand island on the Reuben.
We stopped at their deli counter to grab sandwiches. We had great food! They even had gluten free buns for my daughter and I. We both got Italian Melts. Our friend got the Pesto Grilled Cheese, which she loved. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back.
Food was excellent! The service was beyond courteous and extremely friendly. Beacon wrapped filet was perfect, cut like butter and melt in your mouth; no sauces needs as the seasoned flavor was spot on. Twice baked potato was just the right size to complement. Onion rings for an apitizer was more that I expected, large thick rings in a just right breadcrumb batter.
This place was awesome! I was in town with one other person staying for a weekend and we went to this restaurant twice in that time. Good gluten free hamburger buns, good food in general, and reasonable prices. Everyone who stops in Atchison must try Paolucci. Delicious! Great service from very friendly staff who were excited to see out-of-towners! We will be back for sure!
Over an hour for food to come, which I understand in todays world. Although I should have been warned.Then just before delivery, told that they were out of gravy. Mashed potatoes and chicken fried steak with no gravy, again not a deal buster but wasnt happy about it. Then the chicken fried steak was a prebreaded circle that I could have put in my air fryer at home. So why would I go back?

A group of us were staying in town at a hotel, so we ordered for 6 people carry out. Paoluccis were kind enough to provide us with some plastic ware and they were even going to provide us with a steak knife for one of the meals. The food was very delicious, the staff was friendly, and I really liked the historic photos on the walls.
Great menu selection, especially if you arent sure what you want. Service was prompt and attentive throughout our meal. We needed more napkins than normal with a 16 mos old and our waitress obliged. Food was great, we moved to MO from the NY NJ area and appreciate good Italian, which was what we got. We visit Atchison regularly for activities related to the 99s and will visit Paoluccis more often.
The lemon cream cake was excellent, but our entrees were not what we expected. The taste of Italy dish had a whole (6 inch) Italian sausage on it. I had expected crumbled Italian sausage in the tomato sauce, so it was a bit awkward trying to cut the sausage on top of the huge rigatoni noodles. The meatball, also on top, was delicious, but also challenging to cut on top of the noodles and sauce in the bowl the food was served in. The creamy flavor of my husbands spinach lasagne was great, but it was smothered in a plain tomato sauce that he ended up scraping off.
We had what they called lasagna, I had frozen lasagna that tasted better. Garlic toast? We got warm bread with a slice of cheese on it. We were missing the garlic and Italian seasonings that one comes to expect.

I love the family atmosphere, I love the staff, and I love the food! Breakfast is my absolute favorite but I have never had a bad meal! They also cater and they have the best finger foods! I highly recommend them for your next party or event!

The service was poor and the food average. Probably a great experience if youre local, but for folks passing through, it is not welcoming (many off looks and glares from employees and other patrons). They also do not require masks for staff or customers, which made me feel uncomfortable due to the nature of the pandemic. Will be sticking with outside seating aTogo. go.
Food is good, dining room is cramped, server was awesome (Geneeka, I think), the hostess/ busser had the personality of a post. I will go again and hope that h/b isnt working.

Not a bad little joint, restaurant down stairs and a little pub/bar upstairs! The late-night appetizer menu isnt much to brag about, the drinks are reasonably priced, they do have a little pool table room and the night I went had a DJ that played decent music all night!

We had a table of 4 on a Monday lunch. We arrived around 11 and didnt recieve our food till 12:57. I ordered a hot chicken salad and the chicken was cold and very dry the dressing was supposed to be ranch and was sour. I will not be coming back food has gone way down hill
This place is beautiful and clean. I enjoyed the historic photos and exposed brick walls. The staff was nice. The food was very affordable. I expected it to cost more. The portions were nice sized. Childrens items were smaller but for $3 who can complain! My hot beef was excellent. One of the better ones I have had. Our extended family frequents this place, we were visiting from Iowa and came here for the first time. We had a lot of children here with 2 families and they made us feel very welcome. We will try to come back if we are around! Support this local family business!!!! I think they do deliveries, while we were here they were getting a lot of phone orders.

My best friend recommended this place. She and I had the hamburger steak dinner and my boyfriend ordered the open faced roast beef sandwich. We waited 45mins for our food. Our hamburger steak was a tiny hamburger patty, a tiny scoop of mashed potatoes and a tiny scoop of green beans. Both our hamburger steaks were under cooked and they forgot to put our mushrooms and grilled onions on them. My bfs open faced rb sand was 2 slices of bread w/ 2 thin slices of deli lunch meat and a tiny scoop of bread. It took them 30mins to refill our drinks. I think we were the a total of 1.5hrs. WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE AT ALL.

Food and atmosphere in the restaurant is awesome! The bar is okay if you want to drink, play pool, and socialize. Love the balcony! However, Paoluccis is the main bar in Atchison. I feel it needs to be bigger. I am one who used to go to Duck Inn. I enjoyed the dancing and Karoke there. Plus they always had a DJ. I miss that so much! I wish Paoluccis would build on and bring that back to Atchison. It is generally packed in there. I think its time for a change.

Really gone down hill, poor service, one half cup of coffee refill, found egg shell and plastic in my eggs. Waitress told hostess that it was just the fried edge of the egg, no refund. Will never go back
As one of my favorite restaurants, Paoluccis gets a top rating every time I visit. I usually order The Tour of Italy, which makes for additional meals by way of the amount of leftovers brought home in the take home box. The last visit however, would not allow the luxury of take home. So, I ordered the Alfredo with Chicken. (Hard to decide between chicken or shrimp!) The Alfredo sauce was excellent! Perfect flavor, smooth and creamy, plus enough ladled on to ensure creamy goodness to the last bite. Even though it was a smaller entree than my usual, I left the restaurant with a very satisfied tummy. The entree came with choice of soup or salad plus two large pieces of garlic bread. I didnt finish my salad or the bread; had to be sure of room for the Alfredo! Still plenty full!
Amazing as always. Wes, the bartender, is a HUGE reason we go! We dont make it there as often as we like, but he knows what we like and knows US. Amazing. The atmosphere is great, great staff, and very clean. Cant wait for our next date night!
I love to eat here. Its a small town restaurant with great food. The waitresses are friendly and attentive to customer needs. It is a very relaxed place to eat. They have lots of old photos of the city on the walls which is nice. Verry impressed

Go to spot in Atchison, wonderful food and great staff. Very reasonably priced, the food is always fresh you can taste the difference. Will be a retuning customer for a long time. Try the Itilian lemon cake, one of the best Ive ever had. The KC cream pie is fantastic also.
I visited Paoluccis tonight with a group of 9 people and very much enjoyed the setting. The varied selections on the menu allowed me to pick from a number of entrees. The appetizers all looked good, and I will be back to try more than one. The food was quickly brought out and we all enjoyed our meals. If you are a desert person, try the lemon cake!!!

My husband and the kids decided to go to dinner tonight before my the father daughter dance and I taking our son to the movies. We got there at 6 pm. Margie Begley the owner and her husband were driving in the parking lot which you could not see from the road. My husband found a empty spot and pulled in. We get inside and Margie confronts my husband about almost hitting them in the parking lot. After we get in place our orders Margie walked by our table helping everyone else but us. 7 pm came and still no food. We decided to leave since we were already late for our event(s). Unfortunately I personally know how passive aggressive Margie is and it showed once again tonight. We will not be spending anymore money there. Im sure many have caught on to the negative entry that she presents which is why Paoluccis is never packed.
