This is the second time I have order on line from Harris Hobbies I just order a Walthers SW7 he messaged me right away about the cab numer I ordered being out of stock. So I called him and told him cab number really didnt matter, he told me he would call me back with a eta on what he had,which he did in about 15min. It arrived super fast and was very well packed. Very happy with my purchase and Im sure Ill be buying something again, Thank you

I have done business with Jack Harris for a number of years and have always found him to be both helpful and knowledgeable of the Model Railroad Hobby. I hope the experience Jack Burgess had was due to a misunderstanding. Harris Hobbies does cater to the hobbyist so one is not going to find entry level train sets there. He can order them but normally does not carry. The only places that are going to carry a limited number of train sets is going to be Hobby Lobby or Hobby Town around here, but then you will not find people there that are knowledgeable in the area of Model Railroading. This is a serious hobby. Model Railroaders spend hours to months building models and years building their operating layouts to represent the real world. The pictures, well look closer and you can tell they were taken at and during a Model Train Show which occur around the state and at different locations. Anyway check out the National Model Railroad Association website for more information about Model railroading as a hobby. Most model railroaders got their start when they were young and a train set. Model Railroading covers a broad range of activities not just the trains. Its a great hobby.I will not speak for Mr. Harris but as a Model railroader Hobbyist I take offense of the remark this is Just old men trying to lure young kids. That seems to be a very narrow negative point of view.

I couldnt believe we found a train store this close to our house. The pictures look awesome. Was so excited to take our child to get their first train. It states make sure you call before you come. We called and literally got denied and said our trains arent for kids. It would not give us a time that they be open. This place is apparently for old men to buy trains to lure kids in. Ive never had a place deny me from buying something let alone even going to the store
