Just picked up an assorted dozen of the house made cupcakes. They are so beautiful and delicious! Also the staff was very friendly and the owner is lovely! I’d give them 10 stars if i could!

The custom cake I purchased for a baby shower was beautiful and delicious! Guests raved about it and asked who made it. The moist, flavorful cake and icing left me wanting more so Ill be a repeat customer. Also, Shirley and her staff provided great customer service.

We recently used this bakery for my sons 13th birthday. We ordered a 2-tiered cake and treats to be delivered to the venue. Over $700.... I decided not to rent their plates, stands, etc. So a refund was due to me. First..the cake delivery was late, but in trying to do the right thing I still offered a tip to the delivery person from my refund. The top layer of the cake was burned. Three day after my event I had to contact about my remaining refund. After spending so much on just okay service and cake; the owner asked if I was tipping the bakers??? I asked for my remaining $90 to be refunded and heard nothing back. The refund came but no customer service etiquette after I placed my initial order. I was planning to let her know why the bakers didnt deserve extra. Honestly neither did the delivery person as she was calling me when the party had started saying she was on the way. Im dealing with guest and setup and being called for something that should have been planned ahead by the delivery service. I made the mistake of just looking at the stars, and not reading actual reviews. I hope others will learn from my mistake. We wont patronize this establishment again.

This bakery is a hidden jewel tucked in the center of Cabbagetown. I initially started out by purchasing cupcakes; Sweet and Sinful and Coffee are my favorites! However, I soon learned Sweet Cheats offered alot more! For my best friends wedding, I gifted her and her husband a torte in the shape of a ring. This dessert is/was HUGE! Not only was it BIG, it was BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS! Mrs. Shirley and her team truly outdid themselves paying special attention to details and preparing such a work of art. Thanks Sweet Cheats for playing a special part in my friends wedding. I am grateful!

The custom cake was beautiful! But it lacked integrity so the cake started slumping while just sitting there (indoors at room temperature on a cool day) before we had a chance to cut into it. It had fallen over before the guests had left. What’s the point of a stunning cake if it’s falling over?———-They say they tell “all” and you sign a form, but they gave zero instructions and gave me a form to sign with zero instructions so how was I supposed to know what I don’t know... that the cake would only last 20min? And who wants a cake that only lasts 20min? Honestly, their response has been disappointing too.

Worst MACARONS ..! Please If you going to buy MACARONS Don’t buy it. It was a Worst worst Macarons ever I had. MACARONS not filled properly & strawberry flavoured MACARONS, she put Strawberry Jam in the MACARONS. & when I go back for complain she even didn’t say Sorry or didn’t reply properly & said ok ok. I ordered a dozen cake pops and they were not fresh they had a spoil taste to them, I honestly would like a refund because I’m pregnant in couldn’t even enjoy them. I know they were spoil because this was not my first time ordering them in they didn’t have that spoil taste to them before. I’m not sure if the cake batter sat too long or they made them days ago, that was the purpose of ordering so they would be fresh. They were able to contact me and resolve this issue, I received a full refund I really appreciate this business reaching out to resolve this issue.

I liked the creativity of the different flavor combinations on the menu. The cake itself was incredible - fluffy, sweet, moist - but the frosting for me was quite gritty and cloyingly sweet. Otherwise, I enjoyed it a lot and would come back again to try some others!

I lovedddd the white chocolate strawberries! These were for my Husbands Birthday and I ate over half of them!!! I am so happy I have found a place with great fruit and customized.. Farewell to edible arrangements and some other online business in this category of Sweet Cheats But they have to be Top Rating in the Atlanta Area. The bourbon bacon caramel brownie is DEELISH!!! And she asked if I wanted it warmed up, omg 😍. So perfect. I had to get a cup of milk to go with it.Ill definitely be back!

They catered about 150 mini cupcakes for our reception. Everyone just loved it. The texture, flavor and the size was perfect.Must try!

Unfortunately, I am having to resort to review forums to get my point across about a recent experience I had with this bakery—Recently ordered a cake for my bridal shower from this bakery & when we cut the cake at home, we realized it was extremely burned. We cut the cake in half to see if the entire cake was inedible or if it was just one area since we saw a thick brown layer (burned) throughout the cake. We have ate at numerous bakeries throughout Atlanta and assumed that our event planner could reach out to the bakery to rectify the situation.My event planner reached out to the bakery and they responded that the brown area was carmelized and informed us it was not burned, and since we ate half of the cake- they would only offer 6 cupcakes to make amends. The customer is always right and the image we sent was after we sliced it in half- assumptions are never a good choice when in customer service. The cake was NOT EDIBLE. We through the cake away and declined the inattentive offering of cupcakes from the bakery.This situation could have been easily rectified had they merely taken fault and asked how to make it better. It’s an unfortunate experience and I am sharing to prevent anyone else from dealing with a company who delivers burned cakes to such special events and responds with such a poor attitude.Do better Sweet Cheats! Fix the attitude and be attentive to you customers.

This place...WOW the pastry chef literally came down from heaven. These cupcakes are amazing. The cake is so light and airy. I think they mix rainbows and unicorns in every batch.

Fantastic sandwich: rosemary bagel (subtle, not overpowering flavor, and sort of a flakey texture), scrambled egg, bacon, and pepper jack. I can also recommend the everything bagel. Definitely will be back!

The cupcakes looked amazing and smelled amazing and reviews we read told us to have high hopes and expectations for these. However, the Salted Caramel literally tasted like a pretty good vanilla birthday cake. And the Creme Brulee had a butterscotch taste that was unexpected but not necessarily bad. Really, they were very okay cupcakes. Not anything special but I wasnt disgusted by them.I was very excited about these, we were in Atlanta for just the day and I picked this place out, but I felt disappointed after the first bite.If you want to try some unique flavors of cupcakes I would maybe try somewhere else, but if you just want a gorgeous cupcake regardless of flavors this is the place for you.

Ordered a custom sheet cake from Sweet Cheats last week for a birthday party. I couldn’t have been more pleased. It was absolutely delicious and probably one of the best cakes I’ve had. All of the guests were raving about it.

I really wanted to love this cute little local spot but the coffee I was served was tasted old and the cinnamon roll my daughter had was very dry and tasted stale.

Sweet Cheats always exceeds my expectations. The breakfast pastries and breakfast sandwiches are delicious and I am obsessed with the cruffles. I have tasted almost every flavor and they all knock my socks off. I can not recommend the team at Sweet Cheats enough.

Good, the bad, and the ugly… best chocolate cake I’ve ever had (the sole reason for my 5 stars) though it was a bit overpriced. The bad is the unorganization. I had to call several times to be sure that my order was delivered on time. Delivery driver was an absolute sweetheart though. The ugly is the owner’s attitude. She wanted to be sure that she told me that she was the owner several times while cutting me off mid-sentence. It’s a shame because everyone else I communicated with throughout my ordering process was pleasant. Hopefully she’ll get it together.

Great pricing on cakes and delivery. Easy online ordering. Tasteful and moist. My only minor issue is I sent a pic of a cake(on bottom) I wanted to duplicate and the pearls were not exactly what I expected.

A still corner of fresh delights in the heart of the city bordered by Cabbagetown Park. I love to start my sunrise walks here with a pastry and coffee and fresh cold water and then wander through the park looking for rocks and old pieces of the school that was once there. If somebody offered me a choice of the latest iphone with all the trappings or a $40 dollar gift card here I would go for the latter. Thats four days of meeting souls, human and not, nourishment fed with passion, and learning about the world Im in verses a toxic fish hook to lure me out of sanity. Easy choice. Honestly the best cupcakes out there. They even have a surprise middle. The flavors are out of this world. The strawberry and Creme brûlée ended up being my favorites but they were all delicious!!

I greatly dislike giving a poor review. I was excited that they had gluten free options, so we made the drive for dessert. The only gluten free items offered today were a brownie and a muffin. I requested the brownie, and they heated it up for me. It was extremely dry, and had a freezer burned or stale taste to it. I only ate a quarter of it, hoping that it would get better, but it did not. The peach macaron was awful, and I could not eat it either. She had not mentioned it as a gf option, but they are supposed to be. Matt had the Heath bar cheesecake. I took a bite from the top, omitting the crust. It was mediocre, lacking much flavor. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt really good either. The employees were extremely nice, and the place looked clean, other than the gnats in the pie case. The cupcakes might be amazing, so if that is what you are searching for, give them a try, because they looked delicious. That was my desire. If you want gf, give them a call to see what is available.

We received a cookie ring torte from Sweet Cheats as a gift from my best friend/maid of honor as the grooms cake for our wedding reception and it was AH-MAZ-ING!!!! The cookies were fresh and crisp, surrounded by light, fluffy whipped creme, and sweet, juicy strawberries, raspberries and incredible macarons. We were not disappointed! We look forward to visiting Sweet Cheats in ATL to try their cupcakes during our honeymoon road trip in a couple of months.

Specifically reviewing two things:1.) Vanilla Cream CupcakeAbsolutely divine. Heavenly. That vanilla cream frosting is legit, and the cupcake it self was soooo soft and delicious. 10/10, maybe my new favorite cupcake in Atlanta in fact2.) Ordered online Cake went belly up. Instructions should be plaved right on the box. I love this style of texture of cake. The icing was a bit gritty abd had a little too much sonething at the end.maybe too much flavoring in both cake and icing.id order again. But ask to ease on flavoring. Sweet cheats is my ABSOLUTE favorite bakery in Atlanta. The staff are friendly and the sweets are amazing!! I suggest Sweet Cheats for ANYTHING you need sweets at (family functions, parties, anniversaries, weddings EVERYTHING). Sweet cheats made my wedding reception cake and it was AMAZING!!!

Ordered for pickup, all items were packed securely. Everything was delicious! I think cruffles are my new favorite dessert. That and the macaroons were so good!

It pains me to leave this review because I’ve come here for over seven years. We came here this past weekend for my birthday for four cupcakes and we were cheated on two of them. We bought the Chocolate Dream and the Creamy Crunchy Bliss. Both were described with having cookies inside but after returning home to eat them we found that both were just basic cupcakes. This wouldn’t have been so bad but like I said, this was for my birthday. This put a sour spine on my birthday as everything I’ve ever had here has been awesome. I don’t know what changed but if they aren’t offering what’s advertised, they need to update their site.

I was able to order some hard to find white chocolate dipped strawberries on their website. Order was ready when promised and the strawberries were awesome!

I tried ordering a birthday cake for my baby’s first birthday. Called and emailed 3 times and I followed the last email up with a phone call both confirming that I wanted to order the cake. The day of the birthday I called and they told me they never placed the order or invoiced me so the cake is not there. Really hard for me to understand the level of difficulty to order a cake at this place.

The cake was custom made so that we could make the first birthday, special.Firstly, you ruined by sending a fresh cream cake a day earlier. Despite keeping the cake in a refrigerator it sagged. Who delivers a day early?Secondly, the colours were mixed up and you showed no experience to get it right. You charged extra didnt you for the customization - is getting color right the most basic?And if had tasted OK we would have still been fine but there again you let us down.Guys show some passion for your work if not day is not far that you will be shut. Our humble feedback over email and phone call went to vain and hoping this will get soem attention from you. Importantly a heads up for others considering your items.Disappointed with the staff on phone and the main person running the shop.

Excellent cupcakes and excellent service. They have a wide selection of cupcake flavors and a good number of coffee options. We ordered the Sweet and Sinful and Salted Caramel cupcakes along with vanilla flavored Americanos. Everything was delicious. I also appreciate their walk-up counter which is a convenient addition for folks who are practicing social distancing.

Haven’t tried the cupcakes yet so I can’t comment on them...but I did just have an awkward experience at the shop. Awkward enough to make me want to write this review.I called Sweet Cheats ahead of time to confirm they had a variety of cupcakes for a birthday today. While on the phone I was notified the bulk buying savings for a half dozen $23 and a dozen $40.When I arrived I had planned to only buy a half dozen as it’s a small party, after the gentleman did a wonderful job explaining the varieties, I decided to get a dozen. We went row by row selecting one or two of each and then at the end when I was all set to pay. I heard a woman in the back (maybe the owner), start notifying the gentleman that the two vegan cupcakes in the dozen I selected would need to be billed separate and are not part of the deal.Apparently the vegan cupcakes are more expensive than regular cupcakes, although there is no signage notifying you of the difference in price and it’s not on their chalk board or online. I told the gentlemen I only wanted a dozen and would be willing to pay the dollar more for each cupcake in the bulk discount of a dozen cupcakes for $40. He told me he could not do that because the boss is making him do it separate and would have to charge me $50 for the dozen with two vegan cupcakes. I explained that was too much and he had insisted that was the only way to buy the vegan cupcakes.Long story short, I didn’t get the vegan cupcakes because it just seemed like they trying to get extra money out of me. I already went from the half dozen I needed to a full dozen, but I guess that wasn’t enough. Simple fix...add a line item on your chalk board so it’s clear to all customers. Then you won’t have awkward situations with your customers like you did today.

I had the salty caramel cupcakes. It was yum. The only downside was it was too sweet. My husband had had the oreo brownies. He liked it. The lady behind the reception was really very cordial. Will come back!!

Amazing bakery! SO lucky to live so close to here - I go at least twice a week, no joke! The staff is wonderful! The food is DELICIOUS. The desserts are out of this world. Try the red velvet cheesecake, you will be hooked! Love this establishment so much.

Tucked away in Cabbage town, its the perfect place to grab a coffee and a bite before heading over to see the wall of murals two blocks away or crossing the street to spend time at the park.Wonderful customer service, great coffee, a beautiful location. I cant say enough great things about Shirley and the team at Sweet Cheats. She made picking out flavors, sizes and decorations for our wedding cake incredibly easy. She delivered a beautiful cake promptly, without fuss, and exactly as promised. Most importantly, it was literally the best wedding cake I have ever had and it passed my southern grandmothers (who is the pickiest woman I know when it comes to cakes) taste test. She loved it as did all of our guests. Shirley also accommodated my request to make macarons that were shaped like peaches (seriously, adorable) and they were also some of the best macarons Ive ever had. Any event I ever have in atlanta that needs pastries, I will be coming back here.

This is a Whole Foods Level Bakery 🧁 in the community! That’s HUGE.I think the neighbors take what they have for granted. I mean they have gluten-free brownies, macaroons, 7 layer bars etc etc and Tea. I’m usually good about taking pictures but the fat kid in me came out, the Hibiscus 🌺 Tea and the 7-layer Bar barely made photo 😅😅

My favorite little bakery next to freelance work. I love their toasty little empanadas (especially during their seasonal stomp n chomp chilli flavor one), their bagel sandwiches, and tea made to order. The cake pops are a bit sweet for my taste but great customer service. If you go often, download the app FLOK to save up points and get free cake pops!

We tried so many different things and everything was GREAT. Those cupcakes are truly gourmet cupcakes and so tasty. Highly recommend! My fave was the creme brûlée cupcake!

After my normal cake place had to unfortunately close due to Covid I was in search for another place. After reading reviews I chose Sweet Cheats which turned out to be a mistake. Ordering on line was simple. I ordered a basic cake for my wife’s b’day with no customization other than having Happy B’day to... written on top which cost’s an additional fee. When I received the cake the inscription was the same color as the cake and you could barely see it. For a cake that costs $120 I expected more. I had a party with all of my friends and family and they made mention of it as well. Very embarrassing. When I finally got around to calling Sweet Cheats a few weeks later and letting them know about it I was told that the owner said; being it was so long ago there was nothing they would do about it and; it was the bakers choice on which color to use. In this situation the baker chose unwisely and showed pure laziness. If you want a plain cake with nothing special done to it then you may be fine. Anything else beyond that, I would suggest thinking twice. Customer service is what makes or breaks companies. Unfortunately, this was an epic fail on the owners part of showing any empathy, client service, acknowledgment of error or even offering a simple apology.

I LOVE this place. The cupcakes are the best I have ever had! I have been here on serveral occasions & they are always the perfect consistency. Well worth the 30 min drive.

My wife and I were in town for the weekend and are so glad to have found Sweet Cheats! I’m vegan and was pleasantly surprised to see there were options for me too. I had a delicious banana nut muffin and she had an equally delicious red velvet cheesecake. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

Cupcakes and brownies look good, but as far as taste and texture I was very disappointed! We tried 5 different ones and it was all the same. Server was friendly, so that’s why I gave it 2 stars.

Oh gosh! I had such high hopes for this place. The parking is sort of difficult but the business cant impact that. Walking in at 1130am, I was disappointed as I looked around and there was crumbs and messiness around the shop. Its early so I cant believe this was from the morning rush but perhaps the day before. The young lady who serviced me wasnt very enthusiastic and the customer service was just mediocre. Still, thats a problem with young people everywhere. I bought several mini cupcakes, several cake pops and the bacon, bourbon brownie. The mini cupcakes were good and fluffy. The cake pops werent though. It seemed as if the cake dough had not baked long enough. The shell was delicious so it the cake had been better I would have been more impressed. Finally, the brownie was dry. I wasnt certain how long itd been baked before but this had to be at least two days old. I was disappointed overall but I could return to give them a second chance. Its hard to be a small business and I try to be fair. Lets hope they improve.

I love to try and support local businesses but my soul was crushed when I saw a dark top layer on the last slice of cheesecake. I asked the attendant was it a ganache on top. lol she responded by stating @ that’s just how it’s baked.” I haven’t traveled the seven seas but I know that the top of a plain cheesecake should not resemble chocolate. My mouth was overwhelmed with this dry chunky bite of cream. The cake pop we ordered tasted like it was found in a TJ Max clearance shelf.The only saving grace was the cookie

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I went there to pick up cupcakes to take to school for my daughters birthday. They have a large variety of cupcakes to choose from. The young lady who helped me, picked out the flavors for me that she thought were kid friendly. The kids were so amazed with how nice the cupcakes looked. They said they were the best cupcakes ever. I drove over 30 minutes to come to this store. I am a member of the Verizon up program that gives Verizon Wireless customers discounts to thousands of all over different merchantst all over the United States. I specifically drove to this store because of the coupon l had. I get to the location and when Im about to order I pull out the coupon and the cashier says they do not honor that program and have never heard of it. I kindly asked her to speak with the owner because a lot of times the cashier may not be aware of all the marketing campaign the store has. She went back to speak with the owner and the owner stated they would not honor the program. I have used this specific program with over 30 different retailers with no issues. I wish the owner would have came out from the back and looked at the coupon and seen it was a legitimate coupon that was offered because of the agreement they have with Verizon Wireless. The owner could have came out and worked out something with me being a 1st time customer.

Happened to be hungry while next to this little shop. I was in the area for work. I got a dirty chai and and a California wrap... ive been back twice now. I don’t know how they make a wrap so frikken delicious!!

This place earns my 5-star rating. I stopped by to get my aunt a cupcake for her birthday and the associate behind the counter was pleasant, as well as very helpful. My aunt also enjoyed the 2 cupcakes I ended up purchasing because they all looked so delicious! This spot is definitely a gem.

I think the store could use a bit of a touch-up as well as a deep cleaning, its looking a bit shabby :( I saw a fruit fly hanging out in the pastry case :( Staff didnt know how to make the Italian soda that was posted on the menu. Why 3 stars? The cupcakes are amazing! I live in the area and Sweet Cheats is my go-to place when I want to bring some goodies to a party and impress people with my sophisticated taste :) But, with the above issues, its not the best place to hang out when you want a rest from your walk at the park. Would be 5 stars if the above issues were taken care of and it felt a more comfortable place to hang.

If you are looking for a tasty treat, Sweet Cheats is the place for you. Its a small neighborhood cupcake shop that sells breakfast items and coffee. Most cupcakes have something inside to compliment the overall flavor. My favorite is the chocolate dream. It has a chocolate chip cookie on the inside and on top. I believe its their most popular. The frosting is very sweet. I normally take some of it off. I believe it better to have to much than not enough. The selling point for me is that the cake does taste the same for each cupcake. I feel most places just use a plain vanilla or chocolate cake and top with different colored frostings. Sweet Cheat puts in way more love.

We are regulars here and love this place! Service is always very friendly. And desserts are exceptional. Conveniently accept Apple pay. Celebrated my daughters birthday here once and had a wonderful party! Right across the street from the park is very convenient for a little family time. If anything, I wish they had some gluten free and low sugar options. Everything is much on the sinful side.

No complaints about the actual food, but I want to comment about the delivery.I would not recommend getting baked goods delivered from Sweet Cheats. I had a delivery scheduled for 1pm and got messages indicating the driver was at my apartment, which were completely untrue. Additionally, I was asked via text where I lived despite them being supplied with this information. I had to call Sweet Cheats (no answer, and their message box was full so I couldnt leave a message) as well as the driver several times. No responses to my text replies. When I got through, they had to ask me for more information they were already supplied with: the gate code and my apartment number. The driver went to the wrong apartment again and didnt have the confirmation code they were supposed to be given. Eventually it was figured out, and after 2pm the delivery was received.Other reviews elsewhere have commented about the poor delivery, and were dismissed as the issue being a one-off kind of error. Its not. Just go there in person if you can.

I love this place! I had been wanting to go for awhile and last weekend we stopped in for a coffee and a cupcake- and it was incredible. Then, today, I picked up 1.5 dozen for my work colleagues and all of them commented on how rich and delicious these cupcakes are! I cant wait to try some of the other treats they offer!

The company motto is a perfect description. If you have to cheat, let it be worth it. My normal stop includes a cake pop sampler. The best I have ever consumed. Moist and flavorful. I purchase as gifts and pick-me-ups for friends experiencing challenging days. The flavor variety is amazing.

We used Sweet Cheats for a cake pop display for an anniversary party with the most elite designers in the fashion industry. Not only was everything delicious, but it was created even more beautiful and elaborate than I ever could have imaged. I would HIGHLY recommend Sweet Cheats and we will be using them for all of our dessert needs in the future.

I tasted a piece of heaven today when I took a bite of a Creme Brulee cake! The owner Shirley is so personable that it made the cake taste even better. I would definitely recommend Sweet Cheats for your bakery needs. Her creativity speaks for itself.

Delicious is only one word, but geez the different levels of yum 🔥🔥🔥. They have a repeat customer and I hope they’re ready to get to know my name and face. The variety they present will have me trying new cupcakes regularly. I’m ready!

I had the mini cupcakes delivered to our event location. They were delivered on time and where absolutely fantastic. A guest came up to me and said “ I usually don’t like cupcakes, but these are delicious!” As she ate her second or third one :)! Thank you for the sweet treats and making a birthday special and delicious!

I agree 100% with Nikki C. I don’t recommend dining there, as the cupcakes tasted better at home when I wasn’t questioning sanitation. The employee didn’t seem to care about customers or cupcakes, so it would follow that she wouldn’t use much effort to benefit anyone’s health or experience. The cupcakes themselves were a variety of flavorful treats.

I tried the flavor of the week cupcake: strawberry and coconut. It was delicious. I also tried the red velvet cheesecake. I enjoyed their version: its a light cheesecake filling with a bed of red velvet cake crust. Ill definitely go back!

Was in town for a weekend get away and stopped in. They not only have the best cupcakes Ive had, but the staff was so sweet and patient. The lady at the front answered all our cupcake flavor questions. Would recommend for those who live in Atlanta and definitely if you are passing through! Amazing!

This place defines amazing! The customer service is always great! Theyre prompt and friendly, and the food is addictive! They were so great that I decided to have my wifes baby shower cake made here and it was amazing! They were really patient with me, as my wife is extremely picky lol, but they got the specific colors, size, decorations, and flavor done much better than I expected! Cupcakes are thee best: not too sweet but not bland at all! GREAT JOB!
