Very poor service! My husband and I have walked past Georgetown many times and they never seem opened. I even tried to call many times and nothing. Finally today we saw someone inside at 11:15 (they open at 11am) and the door was locked. The lady saw us and a few mins later she opened the door. I started to ask if she had any gluten free cupcakes today and she walked away… I said ok and stood there for a few mins when another woman walked up and started prepping things. Did not acknowledge us at all. I asked my question again followed by a question I had about the display. She answered but was not very welcoming and didn’t seem to want to sell us anything. I just wanted a gluten free cupcake. I left ordering what I believe is their gluten free option, but I will make my husband try it first as I do not trust them at all. First time in and have NO intention of going back.
After seeing some of the recent reviews, I was hesitant to order from Georgetown Cupcake. However, I’ve had great previous experiences at this location and thought I’d take a chance. I placed an online order for pickup a few days later. When I arrived, my order was ready to go, it was accurate, and the cupcakes were delicious! The customer service was prompt and had me out in just a few minutes. The team even filled my special request as noted on my order. Thank you Georgetown Cupcake!
I was excited to try these cupcakes. They’re super cute and smelled amazing. However, only one of the cupcakes was not dry. The only redeeming factor was the icing as it is not too sweet and helps with the moisture aspect. The chocolate ganache one was the worst because it is only a thin layer of ganache with extremely dry cake beneath that. I also tried calling multiple times, and it took many attempts just to reach someone. Lastly, I paid extra to have candles included in my order. Because of COVID, you open the door and there is immediately a table to pick up the orders in a bag. I found mine and walked away in the rain, not realizing until later that they didn’t put those in the bag.
I’m not sure of what happened to y’all’s cupcakes, but mines were fire af!! I ordered a bakers select / half dozen, and they are hitting!! The cupcake is moist, the icing has a great fluffy texture; not too sweet, and they’re perfectly decorated!! I give these people two thumbs up!👍🏾 👍🏾 #ThanksGuys
Hi,I had ordered my baby shower cupcakes and ordered at least 15 days prior to the event, yet cupcakes were missing, flavors were missing and of course there was no baby shower design.CLOSE your stores if you cant accommodate requests and make cupcakes.I had- Visited the store prior to placing the order and was confirmed the online steps to order and all my cupcakes would look exactly the same with bunny and baby girl fondant.- After placing the order I called the store to confirm if they have received my order and understood my order- I also called 2 days prior to my order to confirm if vegan cupcakes will be made as per the order as in the past, the vegan cupcakes were missing even after the order was placed in advanceThe day I got my order after driving 1 hr to the store ONE Way and once reached home,- 6 cupcakes were missing- There was no fondant on any cupcakes- 2 different flavors of Chocolate square and Chocolate birthday were missingThese cupcakes were of no use for my baby shower which I had hoped for.I had to discard all the cupcakes and had to buy cupcakes on urgent basis and pay a wholesome amount. What kind of ridiculous service is this. There was nobody present at the counter to talk to re-verify my order.I was waiting for 15min but nobody stepped out or responded. This is not the first time, in the past also we have had issues. Why is the service so bad and why was placed in dark for my own baby shower :(
Amber Dawkins. The worst service possible. Made an order and paid for it. It wasn’t there. She refused to search in their own computers or offer any options for how she could help. She acted as a complete barrier to good service. I can’t pretend to know why she is in the service industry. Continued to insist that the only option was for me to provide an order number. This was never required in the confirmation of my order. She insisted it was. She was incorrect and continued to argue that she could offer no possible help and that it was solely my responsibility and that she could offer no effort at all in finding an order that I paid for and was confirmed for that wasn’t prepared. In the modern age I’ve never met a service person that couldn’t make the effort to look up an order to help a customer. She simply flatly refused to search her computers for name, order, email, or any search term that could potentially solve the problem. If I owned Georgetown cupcakes and saw the reviews of the customer service failings in addition to mine I would be concerned as to the viability of the business with employees like this.
I have yet to receive a successful order from this location, 3 years and counting. I used to order from the DC location to be mailed until they opened this local branch. Every year I try to pick some up for my family member birthdays and something always goes wrong. This place is NOT VEGAN FRIENDLY. I always order 1-2 weeks in advanced with no issues, but when I go to pickup they inform me that they dont have any vegan cupcakes and that I would be allowed to pick something else. This is not helpful if there are no other vegan options. This most recent time, I went in to pick up my order and nobody said anything about any issues so I drove back to Smyrna (1hr roundtrip in the ATL rain), when I got home I realized there were no vegan cupcakes and a random flavor I didnt even order was added in. When I called to complain, it turns out they had the vegan cupcakes in store but still subbed them out for things I didnt order. Im done. Ive tried to give them my business and multiple chances, but they obviously do not care, so Im done.
Does this cupcakier live up to the hype? As the first and only renowned Georgetown cupcake in the Atlanta but also in the Buckhead area. Maybe I am being to rash but I believe this area is known for its exceptional customer service. At this location you will not find competent service or kind employees. After making an order 24 hours in advance that was approved to be picked up at 5 pm, I was met with negative vibes and rude disposition. In short: the desire of the flavors is not worth the extended wait due to incompetence and unprofessional behavior of the employee.
The best cupcakes ever😩🤌🏿
Horrible customer service. We dropped by there around 6:15-6:20p and was turned away after waiting at least 10 mins for employee to come out front. We were told they do not accept orders after 6p even though their website says they are open until 7pm.We were not placing a catering order just trying to buy 4 pre-made cupcakes that we could see sitting behind the glass. All she had to do was slap them in a box and take our money. 🙄
They should just either shut this place down or pay their employees better so that they can have workers that actually care to service people. What type of employee gets an attitude when you say thank you!??? I’m so disappointed in the owners
Not worth the HYPE, PRICE, or TASTE!!! For spending over $50 for a dozen cupcakes, you would think they would at least taste half way decent🤦♀️. Inside packaging was damaged and cupcakes were smooshed. Should have known from they way they looked it was going to be a bad experience. I was trying something new before my daughter’s birthday, but I guess I’ll stick to our local bakeries (Publix, Walmart, etc.).
I absolutely love this shop! Cupcakes are always amazing. Here lately theyve been slipping. Last doezen I ordered, did not come as pictured...flavors were subbed and I wasnt notified. This time for my BIRTHDAY, since I couldnt get to the beach I ordered the beach dozen. Well same thing yet again. Flavors not listed in the description were in my box, NONE of the decorations were right. Im very close to not returning as a customer....publix is closer to me.
Ill start with : pure awful customer service. They NEVER pick up the phone or return messages. I ordered a dozen cupcakes to be picked up at a later date. By mistake I selected the wrong day in the calendar and caught it when I got the confirmation email. To correct the order, I called them several times for the next few days and left messages but NOBODY called me back. I finally went to pick up the order a day later than the day on the original order and asked if they can exchange the cupcakes in the box with fresh ones only to be told that the cupcakes they have are 1 day old anyway so it wouldnt make a difference. ??? They said they were short staffed and thats why they cant pick up the phone or return calls although when I went to pick up my order there was nobody there and the employee was on her phone. Youd think this is a cupcake place not the stock market. Plus she gave me attitude and eventually offered me a 20% reimbursement. No reimbursement will make for the bitter taste I was left with. Never again. You most def lost a client.
T E R R I B L E customer service. I understand they have one phone line so not answering every call is understood. But even in person the service is HORRIBLE. While I did enjoy the cupcakes, I will not be back. There are way too many competitors in the area with better service.
This place came highly recommended to me, so I decided to order a delivery of cupcakes for a baby shower. They never showed up. There was never an apology. Terrible customer service and I cannot speak to the actual cupcakes because I never got them. After I put in the order, I did not get a confirmation email after I put in the order online so I called a few days later to confirm. The man I talked to on the phone said he had the order, and that it would be ready to go the next day.The day of the delivery, about an hour went by after the supposed delivery time. I checked my email for another confirmation or any indication that they were running late. Nothing. So I called again looking for confirmation that they were still on their way and just running late. After a brief hold the man on the phone told me, We have the label printed... and the cupcakes are in the freezer, but It looks like your order got overlooked so they will not be arriving today.I asked what they could do for me and he said they could refund me (by the way, they had already accidentally charged my card twice, COOL) or the cupcakes would arrive the next day. I asked for a refund. He once again, did not apologize.
Cameron was the absolute sweetest at the Atlanta location. She was very patient and helpful with making our decisions. The cupcakes were great as well! Will definitely be coming back!
I would give a 5 star just for how delicious the cupcakes are, but the customer service at this location is terrible. I was waiting in my car for atleast 30 min until it was time to pickup my order. I walk in the store when it was time, and there was another customer waiting for service. There was no one in front of the store to assist us. Then about 5 min later, we noticed a yound lady and children in the back of the store, the yound lady looked confused when she saw us and didnt even greet us and returned to the back of the store. A few minutes later, a lady, who works there, walks in the store with food. I suppose she was coming back from lunch. She didnt even greet us the customers, and proceeded with saying the computer must not have printed the orders . She went in the back and came back to the front and asked for our names, since she the computer did not print out orders, so what we ordered wasnt ready for pickup. Most of what we had ordered online hours prior to coming for a pickup was out according to her, and she gave us the option to just pick something else similar in flavor. She seemed to be in a rush like she had other things to do and just apologized for the computer not printing the orders. No apologies for the wait or not having what we ordered. It was just unprofessional. This is my 3rd time going there, and its never been a pleasant experience. If the cupcakes werent so delicious, I wouldnt bother coming to this place at all.
My friend and I split an order of four cupcakes of different flavors. Every flavor did not disappoint!
Worst customer service Ive experienced in a long time. I went in the store to place an order for cupcakes for my bridal shower two days in advance. I was interested in something custom since they didnt offer anything bridal-ish online. Staff was uninterested in helping me. One girl handed me the sheet and told me I could only order items from the list, nothing customized. I shouldve left at that point, but I ordered 18 cupcakes and a cupcake stand anyways. On Saturday, they said they ran out of buttercream and did not make half of the selections I had chosen. I had to choose between whatever they had. The cupcake stand had black ribbon, not white and was so embarrassingly cheap, I threw it away. It was not the one they advertise in the store. The cupcakes themselves were good, but not worth $70. I will never shop here again and will warn all my friends from doing so as well.
Showed up at 6:45pm on Sunday and they wouldn’t serve us because they “usually stop selling cupcakes around 6pm to prepare for the next day”….but they close at 7. Very disappointed
Order was placed online 10 days in advance for 11 am pickup. tried calling two days and one day before to confirm the 11 am pickup time because I had a short window of time. Called multiple times, no one answered. I left a voice mail, no one called me back. I showed up at 11:15 am and the cupcakes were not ready. They were severely under-staffed and had multiple orders ready for 12 pm pickup, but mine was not ready. The staff was very slow moving and I was shocked at the work ethic I witnessed. Unfortunately, the cupcakes werent good either. tasted dry and a bit off. Try Smallcakes instead- they are SOOO Good!
I’ve been here twice and both times the cupcakes tasted stale and dry. Not sure if that’s their intent but I doubt it, they were pretty though...
Always a pleasure to work with Ms. Amber when ordering cupcakes. She’s awesome!
Delicious! Just moved back here from D.C. and it was a great taste of home. Be sure to order online before you go! (Covid update)
Customer service has completely gone down. Rude and unprofessional staff. It is totally obvious that they dont enjoy the cupcake business. Weve been going ever since they opened and this will be the last. 🙁
Love the sweets its good and very tasty.
I was very skeptical of going here being that I checked all the reviews prior to going. Some reviews I seen that the cupcakes were dry... and to my surprise THEY WERE ! I was so sad because I thought that if I went early I would have gotten a fresh baked batch of the cupcakes..... I’ve had Georgetown cupcakes before but at the original one in DC and I was in love with them. The Buckhead location is disgusting and I won’t be returning . I will also be writing the owner of the company in regards to my issue. You could really tell they were stale when you picked them up they were really hard. I visited the store 07/17/2020
This location is a joke! Today I drove to pick up a dozen cupcakes after checking online to see if they were opened and the lights were off with tables in front of the door at 12:30 pm. Thanks for nothing... Also, I’d rather stand online forever at the DC location at least I leave with what I came for... Such a disappointment.
I was hoping for a better quality product from such a high end business. Asked for a different item and refused to take my order. Only would take online no walk-in. Ignored me when I walked in. Is there less than one star?
Cupcakes are good. How can you sever food and your employees serving with no masks on the face and spreading germs and when you call the manager she doesn’t care about it! Atlanta is one the worst state now for covid and this is because of those kind of people! Avoid if you don’t want to get sick !
Place my order online for easy pick up. Cupcakes were more like corn bread consistency. I was a bit disappointed since I was expecting the same quality as Georgetown store. We ordered 6 flavors, and didn’t like the taste of none of them. Sadly I won’t be back. I would opt for Camicakes.
The cupcakes were a gift. OMG.... so good.
Very disappointed in the customer service and the inability to request a custom order. I recommend Georgetown cupcakes to take a look at the level of customer service being provided at the Buckhead location. It is unfortunate that the person managing the [email protected] e-mail address is unwilling to provide custom services as advertised. The bakery first confirmed they could accommodate the custom order on May 26th but then on June 11th (3 days before my event) said they would not be able to do the floral design as it was “not currently an option” even though they offer it in their 10 Year Anniversary dozen. I am not sure where the disconnect is and why they would be able to do the floral design for the 10 year anniversary but not my order. Their unwillingness to work with me on a simple order is all in e-mail if the ownership team is interested in improving their customer service.
What’s up?!? Cupcakes were great when the Buckhead location opened. I popped in for Valentine’s Day 2020 and paid $20 for 6 of the driest cupcakes I have ever eaten. I notice they have also gotten smaller. Whole Foods and Piece of Cake down the street are better dessert options. Oh and given the long list of bad reviews about quality and customer service, it appears management is indifferent. Another reason to spend your money elsewhere.
This visit wasnt great! Totally disappointed! I ordered cupcakes online with NO SPRINKLES (in the additional requests section two days before my arrival.) But when I arrived I was told that not having SPRINKLEs wasnt an option. WHY HAVE SPECIAL REQUESTS ON THE WEBSITE IF YOU CANT GRANT THE REQUESTS.....!!!!!! In addition the cupcakes wasnt fresh as usual.
I’ve heard so much hype about this company and their cupcakes. I bought a dozen of assorted flavors from the buckhead store. Unfortunately every last one of the cupcakes was stale. Every. Single. One. The cake tasted as if it had been sitting out for 2 days. They are certainly not fresh. For $40 a dozen... I expected a lot more. Do not waste your money here.
Great selection & presentation, good flavor, convenient pick-up. Will go back.
Should be call Drytown. These are hands down the driest cupcakes in town. Not even the frosting can save them. They used to be my favorite but it appears that just as they shrunk the cupcakes they have shrunk on the quality ingredients to make up for the rent in Buckhead! Customer service is lacking. Will not be going back. I prefer small cakes which are very moist and flavorful.
The cutest cupcakery with the best selection. My daughter loves the unicorn one!
Georgetown Cupcakes have never disappointed, which is why we always try to stop by when passing through one of their locations. However we were extremely disappointed by their service today. We placed an online order Wednesday evening for a Saturday evening pick-up. As I walked up to the door around 5:30pm, I questioned if they were even open as I entered the store because a large portion of the lights were off. The girls WAY behind the counter informed me they didn’t have many cupcakes left. I replied that it wasn’t a problem because we had placed an online order. They then asked who I was and pulled out the order and said it had not been filled nor would they be able to. They explained the 2 bakers were on vacation and the manager had not gotten another baker for the week. They were having cupcakes shipped in and all they had left were a few coconut and salted caramel. I don’t even know how the manager of a bakery fails to line up a fill-in to bake your product. Also, they should have contacted us (they had our email & phone number) ahead of time to let us know we didn’t need to make the trip to the store since they couldn’t fill the order. If the bakers were out all week, they could have contacted us Thursday, Friday, or even Saturday to explain. Very frustrating. We are from Chattanooga and were in Atlanta for the evening to celebrate our anniversary. We even passed on dessert at Fogo because we thought we were picking up cupcakes to take back. Very disappointing.
Here to purchase cupcakes, rep says I need to place an online order but online won’t accept orders until the next day. I ask “sob what happens to all of the cupcakes at closing” I will donate them to charity in 15 minutes. I’m here to pay for cupcakes “no ma’am I’m not allowed to take in store payments” won’t spend my money here anymore
Definitely came back for the Oreo cheese cake cupcake. Wish they had more exciting flavors. Their selection during the week was pretty uneventful. I love the fact that they have gluten free
Love the cupcakes over here there just perfect not too sweet not to better just right. Also players that they had were somewhat original. However the great ingredients that were used in these is what really impressed me. If you are in town like me deafly stop by this place to grab a little dessert after lunch or dinner. Or maybe just sit down have some coffee with a cupcake
Very good smelling atmosphere upon entry. The cupcake shop was very clean and there was parking available on the street for a minor fee. Very good quality shop!
I didnt even get a greeting upon entry maybe the pregnant young woman was having a bad day. The frosting on the cupcakes I ordered was really good but the cake portion tasted floury and not so fresh.
Dont buy into the hype. First, there are plenty of places where you can find cupcakes that are as good or even better FOR A LOT LESS MONEY! Second, and more importantly, this place has THE WORST customer service. Two bad experiences are more than enough. The first time was an order for my wifes birthday. It was placed weeks in advance, yet the evening before her birthday they called and said half the flavors I wanted werent available and that they substituted something else. They didnt care. They just offered a lame email apology. My wife just ordered some to be delivered before Christmas, and they never arrived. No call. No explanation. Just no delivery. I actually called their headquarters out of frustration. They sent a gift card to our family members. The whole point of delivery is that it arrives at the home. I didnt want them to have you drive 45 minutes from where they live to get stupid cupcakes!!! Note, this was not a make-good. It was from my wifes purchase! This certainly isnt what I expect from a company that poses and charges like a premium service. Go elsewhere. I will.
Drove all the way to buckhead with kids to get cupcakes. Im disappointed, we were told that they werent accepting orders after 6pm but it wasnt reflected on their site. We werent able to place an order although they were open. My kids were not happy....
The quality of the cupcakes has definitely gone down since theyve expanded. Im in Texas now and got them shipped last year for valentines day and then my graduation. Ive gotten them shipped in the past as well (when I lived on the East Coast) and the quality was still excellent. I had a couple hiccups with my orders too (ordered the heart shaped box for V-Day and didnt get it; they gave me a credit to get a new dozen which I used for graduation). Surprisingly, their chocolate cupcakes have been my favorites in recent years despite me not being a chocolate lover. I actually dont eat chocolate cake at all. The other cupcakes have been quite dry (except for the cheesecake ones which are also delish).
Taste wise this place trumps all the ones Ive tried in the area. Taste wise Id say its on par with Kupcakerie. However the cupcakes are not as pretty. Price wise its decent, half dozen for $18 is typical of most cupcake places and less than some in the area. And I didnt find anything wrong with the customer service when I went.
O. M. G. !!! Best chocolate and vanilla cupcake EVER! Plus DELICIOUS daily and seasonal specials. Do not miss the cream cheese frosting!
Even though the customer service could be improved, the cupcakes are constantly made to perfection. They are the right amount of fluffy and dense, and the frosting is the best I’ve ever tasted.
The cupcakes are mediocre and are overpriced I would understand the price if they were amazing, but they’re not .the cupcakes at my local bakery are cheaper and have better taste, but I watched their show for a long time and it was a cool experience they lines may be long but they move fast! I recommend you get a couple cupcakes to make sure you like them before dropping 36$ on a dozen but this was at the Georgetown location
Awful experience the customer service has gone down dramatically. The manager was more than unpleasant in how she dressed and looked. There are better cupcake shops in Atlanta.
I was not pleased with the service nor the cupcakes.Service was slow although i ordered online for a pickup at 5pm. Got my cupcakes opened the box and the cupcakes was tossed in the box they where upside down and sideways. Overall i was not pleased
The cupcakes here are perfection. I am partial to the mexican vanilla cupcake... akin to a delicious cloud of rich and not-to-sweet decadence I float away on every time I order it.The staff is also great: efficient, polite, and eager. The interior is immaculately clean, well-decorated, and inviting. Easily my favorite cupcake joint in Atlanta.
Great cupcakes. Lots of different flavors to chose from like p b & j cupcakes.
Super awesome. The young lady working was super nice. Remember red velvet taste like chocolate, not red! 🤣🤣
Not only loved their show but their cupcakes are one of the best cakesunique flavors
HOW TO GET FREE CUPCAKES:Before you enter the store, go to the Georgetown cupcake website (mobile friendly) and look at the Live store cams. Play the Look In Our Fridge cam to see the cupcake of the day (handwritten name in the background). Give the name of the cupcake of the day to the cashier and get one free. I came in with 2 other family members and they gave me 3 free cupcakes!!!Beyond the free cupcakes, which look amazing, the people were friendly. I got there pretty early in the day so the place was empty and had the look of just getting set up. I recommend going, and the lure of free cupcakes should keep everyone coming back!Dont forget to get your parking validated if you park in the deck.
Today was my first time stopping in and I was taken back a little today. I have tried almost every cupcake and bakery around the city and love, love to talk food and baked goods. My friends and family know I keep a long list of places that you must try and the great items they prepare. So lets state the obvious Customer Service is non-existent, and I must admit I looking for the Southern Hospitality 😕. I purchased a half a dozen cupcakes to try with my family and this is our take .Marble Cheesecake Cupcake - 👎Red Velvet Cupcake -Split DecisionSalted Carmel - Split DecisionWe are still debating the White Chocolate Raspberry and Strawberry. Was really hoping for a nice place in Buckhead to sit with my sisters and enjoy the new shops. Sadly This is not the place. 😫
Worst service I’ve received in a while. While love the company’s brand, I was extremely disappointed in this locations front desk service. As someone that plans events - I was looking forward to having more orders, but the service was so disappointing I think I’ll look elsewhere.
Good cake and some of their frosting isnt as sickly sweet as other cupcake bakers! Definitely give it a try if youre in the area. They serve coffee and have a good espresso machine in house, my cappuccino was good.
I liked Sprinkles . Some of their limited edition cupcake flavors like red velvet ganache and apple pie were really good. This location is now closed. I went by the mall today, they are already painting and taking apart the store interior.
Terrible, Terrible, Terrible..... Came here Saturday night about 8:20 and they supposedly close at 9. The store was dark and empty and even called and their was no answer. So we stop into the store again today which is Sunday and the service was terrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiibbbblllleee. Walked in not even greeted. Didn’t even offer samples. Didn’t have key lime cupcakes which is my favorite. Said they would be in on Thursday or Saturday 🤔. When I googled the other day I was thrilled to find out they had a location in Atlanta but once I left my excitement left with me. Poor, Poor service and personalities. Girls on their phones when you walked up. Customer begins is wasn’t greeted and she decided to walk out. We should have done the same. I don’t know if I’ll ever visit this store again unless things change. Maybe I’ll wait and stick to the DC location when I’m in that area.
Amazing cupcAkes! Tasted very fresh. Nice atmosphere. Only two tables though to sit at. Wish it was more of a cafe atmosphere
Im from D.C. and the line is always around the building so I havent had one yet. I was surprised that there was no wait here at Atlanta. I think its the best kept secret!! I got in and go free cupcakes to boot! Best darn cupcake Ive ever had and I dont even like icing on cake! The buttercream icing is to die for! The coconut and strawberry were my favorite!
These cupcakes were terrible. The frosting was ok but the cake portion was not moist, very dense and not edible. I threw most of the dozen I ordered away. I sampled multiple flavors and they all SUPER SUCKED. What is a brand I guess it is what the TV says. But if the brand is good cupcakes, thats not the this sugar shop.
The lighting inside was dim. At 715pm I expected it to be a little brighter than it was. It looked like dusk was setting inside. The service was awful. The girl who took our order seemed like she would rather be somewhere else. The worst part, the cupcakes were mediocre. Nothing special. I couldve gotten a better one from a small pop up shop down the road from my house instead of driving 40 minutes to Atlanta. Save your money because it just isnt worth it.
Good cupcakes, terrible customer service. Girls look like they hate life and are on their phones the whole time. No greeting or “thanks, come again!”. Very sad for such a good brand.
Best cupcakes ever! So fresh and love there flavor choices
Absolutely delicious! Love that they have a couple small round tables inside as well.
Poor customer service! Made a delivery order 2 business days ahead only for the order to arrive late (despite being initially told it would arrive within a certain time frame) and our cupcakes were damaged. The cupcakes were for a company networking event and we looked like fools waiting around for a late order and for it to arrive in horrible condition. This was our first time using Georgetown but never again. Save your money and go to another cupcake shop in Atlanta that provides better service and reliability. Otherwise youll be wondering where your cupcakes are!
Out of all the cupcake places that are around now, Georgetown is my favorite. The cupcakes are reasonably sized and have a good cake-to-frosting ratio. Definitely try the Chocolate Ganash and Cookies and Creme!
Unlike its D.C location this one is not as crowded. Easily walk in to much larger bakery to get same good quality cupcakes as its namesake.
The cupcakes are outstanding! The attendant service is less than desirable. A smile and a hello can go a long way to making one feel good about buying a half dozen cupcakes for $20.
Don’t place online orders here. They don’t look at them. Showed up at my pickup time and they didn’t have any of the cupcakes I ordered in stock because they ignored my order.
I love this place. I only give them a 4 star because of their prices. $20 for 6 is pricey. Almost easier to just go to Krispy Kreme and get a dozen of something. (Summer 2015)Today was the first time I experienced the poor customer service that everyone seems to be experiencing. There was one customer and myself there, then another guy walked in, I was completely overlooked and I found it very odd when there were 2 people in the store. The guy was greeted with a smile and all. Then she girl made her way to the next customer who was a little rough looking, and she did not get a smile or anything that the other guy received. She was judged by the way she looked. It took everything for me not to address the manager in the establishment. The owner needs to address this immediately before this gets out of control. (April 2016)
After 10 times going there over more than a year-I have had zero service. Girls don’t know the products. Leave names on the board that they don’t haveAre asleep. So slow. No interaction with customers.Act like it’s McDonalds and they are so put upon. Really a shame because we love the cupcakes but soooooo disappointed with the experience.Literally today one girl just had no clue about anything.and slumped around at a back table. The other was wearing a headset listening to musicNeither are people greated nor wished well upon leaving. I’m finally over hoping to have no service -so here is my report. Hope it helps the owners decide to actually do analysis and training. Thanks for hearing me out
Today, May 26, 2017, at approximately 11:50AM, I arrived to pick up the graduation cupcakes I ordered and they said they didnt have it ready because of some computer glitch. They were unapologetic and after I had to ask them how they would remedy it, told me I could pick of the 12 cupcakes they already baked.Really? Why offer themed cupcakes if Its all the same? They didnt even bother to offer a remedy like attaching a Congrats Grad card or balloon to make up for not having the cupcakes ready.Between traffic and them wasting my time, I wasted two hours of time with them. I also had to demand I get my refund now.First and last time will ever purchase from them!!!
Got the red velvet. The frosting was really good - light, fluffy and creamy - but the cake part tasted like it was made with a supermarket boxed mix. Very mediocre. Camicakes is a vastly superior cupcake, not too far down the street.
Absolutely delicious cupcakes! I serve them at my salon from time to time and it’s always a treat. I send them to friends for their birthday and it arrives in tack. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Absolutely love these cupcakes and the coffee is great as well. Staff on the other hand can be a hit or a miss regarding helpfulness.
Very chic atmosphere and the cupcakes are amazing! I suggest the Caramel Freeze which is similar to a Caramel Frappuccino from Starbucks only 1000x better. Very rich and creamy.
Think the world of the owners, but this location is awful! The lights are always turned off, workers either on their phones or chatting with each other. Every time I go it looks like they’re closing their doors; today was the worst though. Empty box left on the floor, employees who were in the back somewhere & finally came out, displays looked soooo sparse, only had about 8 cupcakes available to choose from. Certainly not worth making a special trip for ; which is what we did for a family birthday.
Stale hard cupcakes with subpar frosting at 3.50 a pop. After that I went to publix to get my cupcake fix.
Have loved these cupcakes for years. Wish they had a better drink selection. They have juices that are not berry good, so you eat the Cupcakke and have birthing to drink.
To the owner: We could not have been treated more like a nuisance by your staff. The only reason you are staying in business is due to your cupcakes being so good.
I agree with previous reviewers that the cupcakes are delicious but the service is sub par. They are rarely friendly or smiling. The location is beautiful, but the employees are blah. I was excited to bring my children there as we always the DC location when visiting up north. But the experience in Atlanta was just bland. Theres also enough variety that I would think the employees would ask if a guest had any questions about the flavors. Thats a shame and a missed opportunity, especially for cupcakes that cost a pretty penny.
The red velvet was good and the carrot cake one is great! Not very friendly staff. Staff stayed on their phones while we were looking at the cupcake selection.
Customer service was poor. They sit back on there cell phone and look at you when you walk in the door. Thank goodness they dont make the cupcakes.
Absolutely love this place, especially the chocolate salted caramel cupcake they have on Tuesdays!!
