Hoot owl is a really neat store but I miss their old location! 😭 They still have all the basic necessities though which is nice to be able to go to a physical brick and mortar store to buy your gemstones and other unique items. They also do a bunch of classes on various topics. Which, I may be wrong but, it seems has become their focus.

I always go there for my candles! Staff is always nice and friendly. Selection of products keeps growing as well. Love their monthly fairs

I have driven by the street where Hoot Owl Attic is located for many years and had no idea that it was there! Definitely a hidden gem off of Roswell Rd! They have a nice selection of crystals, books, candles, incense, and herbs. They also have a great selection of other items (pendants, jewelry, cards etc). What makes them stand out is the other in person offerings and psychic fair (held monthly). The staff are all very personable and pleasant. I will continue to frequent this business!

It was no coincidence I stumbled upon this place by accident. Its a great little hole in the wall with a positive vibe. They had older books that I havent seen elsewhere and a great selection of crystals and herbs. I managed to score a beautiful piece of citrine for a great price & will definitely be back 😊

Ive been putting off to pay this visit for years. Today I made my way to Hoot Owl and how comfortable it was to be there. I spent nearly 30 minutes looking at all the unique items they carried, I made a few purchases will be going back for my spiritual cleansing tools.

This place is a hidden gym. Especially if you need taper candles and the ‘other’ places are sold out. I love this place because it feels authentic. There’s a huge collection of new, as well as used books along the shelf on every subject you could think of ‘metaphysical’ related, which I prefer because they already come energetically charged if you ask me. There are crystals, pendulums, and plenty of sage, resins and herbs - A MUCH BIGGER SELECTION THAN THE OTHER STORE - so again, it’s a one stop shop and it was only another 5 mins down the street. John was also a very pleasant man to meet. He does hypnosis, and he also certifies people for it, and it’s the one thing I have yet to try, but will soon! They also seem to have a wider variety of psychics, etc and they often have psychic fairs that everyone can benefit from where the prices for readings are super reasonable and competitive.

I had a very positive experience for my first visit here. They have a terrific selection of crystals in vary sizes which are affordable for any budget. There are many books, candles, herbs and incense as well. It may look small, but they have such a good selection. The store is calming, and the workers are so positive. After making my purchase I left with a feeling of refreshment. It was a perfect find for several things which I needed. I also found some which called to me that I didnt need. This store is one of the best I have been in. I could have stayed in there for hours.

This was my first visit to the store and I fell in love with the place! I got everything I needed PLUS splurged to get a reading. There are specials for 20.00 for 20 minutes on certain days, but today wasnt one of them. The ENTIRE staff were helpful, kind, welcoming, and the Dr who greeted me for my reading welcomed me with open arms, love, and kindness. We prayed before the reading. She hit everything on the head during her reading and made me feel entirely calm. I will definitely go back!

I never leave poor reviews but I feel like I need to in this case. It’s really a shame because the store itself is wonderful and I would recommend it based on that. However I have been in several times during the COVID pandemic and the employees are not wearing masks! Careless and frankly insulting as a customer. Again it’s really a shame because I loved the store aside from that. I will not be coming here again sadly.Edit to add, if you are looking for an alternative, Phoenix and Dragon has been stringent about COVID guidelines the entire pandemic and I really respect them for it.

This is a very good, hole-in-the-wall metaphysical shop. The staff is very nice and friendly, ready to help you. They have a book section sorted by genre, as well as a great selection of crystals, candles, and incense - all at reasonable prices. They have jewelry, pendulums, mortars and pestles. Pouches, pendant cages, and wax warmers are all there.Theyre a little difficult to find even one youre in the parking lot but theyre well worth the little hide and seek. My only concern was they didnt have any pendants like the seven pointed star or the pentacle for necklaces.Overall, a really good, comfortable shop that Ive recommended to my friends.

I am looking for crystals. As I would any new store I am visiting, I called the store to ask about masks. The young woman who answered, told me when I asked about mask wearing, ...some people are wearing masks for some reason but we don’t enforce it. So, “for some reason”???? Really??? Heard of Covid 19? I think I’ll try another store.

I love this place. Place seems so small when describing it. It truly is metaphysical. You can get drop in readings...oils.....candles.....study materials....stones....jewelry. For me its like walking into church....theres a higher supernatural energy that encompasses the building. I cant wait to go back.

Absolutely lovely atmosphere! Very nice selection of stones and oils. Very extensive collection of books. The incense is marked up a little higher than other places but still a good variety.

A smallish metaphysical bookstore. Has quite a few books. A bit disorganized. Theres things with no prices and no one really knows. Theres not a lot of good jewelry. There used to be really good metaphysical book stores and I dont know whats happened to all of them! (Synchronicity was one of them.) Very dark parking lot. The parking lot is at a slant so difficult to maneuver if youre disabled. My wheelchair would not fit inside of that store. Maybe a small one would fit.

This store has turned into the worst in Sandysprings when it comes to new age shops...The customer service is nonexistent and the owner/ manager John could care less about customer service and only dollarSigns. Myself and a few people I know have shopped at this location for years and noticed how they can never keep the same employees longer than a few months which is a red flag within itself. John is a bigot narcissistic money hungry person who will flat out lie on a customer to keep from doing the right thing.He has a very bad attitude toward other races and people of color. This is not a shop that I will ever support or recommend to others who want a good and equal shopping experience. There are much better quality shops for tarot, crystal and books etc in the area like Phoenix and dragon who have an outstanding history of treating customers like family. And Im speaking from my own experience because I shop at all stores and have found Hoot owl attic to be the worst.. I hope they go out of business because its such a negative and toxic place!!! Anyway people please save your hard earned money and spend it elsewhere at a store who actually appreciate your business. Thats all I have to say about this toxic disgusting business.

We found this amazing shop Why are we were visiting from Charlotte North Carolina. The staff Was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I wish we had more time to spend here during our short visit! It would actually me words the 4 hour drive to come back and spend a few hours in the shop. Large variety of educational materials, supplies, crystals and metaphysical supplies, insense, organic herbs, and class and community resource information. Highly recommend!

I use to come here at the old location. If was always a good experience. Today I visited the current location, the selection was amazing but the help was not. The person helping me was not only not friendly, but not knowledgeable. I am still baffled how she could not make one recommendation for any product sold in the bookstore.

The parking is horrible and the store is ridiculously tiny.Aside from that I liked the store. The incense were a little overpriced though. They had a small but decent selection of oils, a variety of candles and crystals and a few waaaaay over priced herbs. The employees were friendly and helpful. There was also a book area but I didnt look much as Id already purchased from another store.

Sarah was very helpful in educating me on the different stones and their meanings. I was able to buy a few items for my mother that I know she’ll love. Great selection at the store as well!

The young lady that helped me was very knowledgeable of crystals (the reason I went in). She was also very helpful everytime I asked a question. The prices are reasonable. I would recommend this place.

If I could give a negative star I would. Will never go back! When we walked in the lady behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge us. We were there for about 20 minutes and we walked out. The lady was making phone calls and did not talk to us, not even a goodbye when we left. Spend your money somewhere else.

I passed by here on my way home from vacation. It was not the easiest location to find, but it was well worth the trouble to find. They have a great selection of books l. I probably could have spent a few hours here going through what they had. I look forward to visiting here again when I am in the area.

My favorite new age store. I go in there for books and Tarot cards, crystals etc... They are very friendly even when i come with my 3 babies. The energy is awesome and the best incense quality.

I went there to look around and ended up getting a reading from Penelope. She was very accurate and gave me good solid information. I will definitely get another reading from her.

I really don’t see myself coming back to this store. One of the employees seemed to have a problem with me as they kept giving me a cold nasty look while I was browsing and standing in line.
