2 weeks ago I called them to let them know they sent me the wrong filters they still have not sent me a return label I am really upset with this company
Moved into a condo last year and had the HVAC replaced. After nearly 9 months remembered hadnt replaced the filter. Started looking for them locally. Lowes didnt have them. Wont buy from any Home Depot (another story).Searched online and found very few sources for my filter, 16x25x4½ MERV-11.Best prices at Filters4Life but scary reviews. One even described how the reviewer tried calling multiple times to follow up on order and never spoke with anyone and never got call back.Decided to try calling and see if I got through. First try a woman, Michelle, picked up. Explained wanted to order filters but was concerned by the horrible reviews and also wanted to know if they had stock so would ship immediately if I did order.Michelle said she is owner and was very attentive. She explained that all the bad reviews she knew of were old (that was correct) and that she took ownership since those reviews were made.She also said the filters were not in stock at the moment but were on the pick list for a restocking order that was being picked up that very day. They would be in stock later that day and could be shipped next day if order posted today.A fine distinction between in stock and getting picked today. A distinction I think most would not make and would instead simply say, we have them. It is however a degree of specificity I definitely appreciate.I ordered the filters. They arrived shortly after. They were the wrong size! I checked my order. MY BAD. (I PDF online orders before and after I click submit to be certain nothing is changed.) Somehow I changed the size of the filter before placing my order.Emailed Filters4Life asking if could return the filters? About returns the website only says, Please contact customer service for more information on returning an item. Michelle replied. As long as theyre in good shape, no problem. Will send you return shipping label.Got label. Returned filters. Made new order for correct size filters. All is good.AND, I would add, FREE shipping 3x and 10% order discount each time. For each order I bought enough filters that after the 10% good customer discount the order total was still over the free shipping minimum. So the shipping for each order was free because of the order total and the return shipping was free because thats how Michelle handled it.So, very pleased with the service. If youre deciding whether to order from Filters4Life look at the newer reviews and/or give them a call!Would be 5 star but the filters were returned, tracking shows they were received last week, and the first purchase has not been credited back to my account yet.[edit] Called them a little after this post. Spoke with a man this time. He said he recalled the return. (Didnt give my name, return tracking number, etc., just told him what was returned and he volunteered immediately he remembered the return.) Sounded surprised it hadnt credited and said would look into it later in the day after we were off the phone.Next day or day after (it was a while ago now and dont remember exactly) the return had been credited to the account!
I have ordered my filters from them for several years and had no problems. There was one time when my filters were out of stock and they contacted my to ask if I wanted to wait. I appreciated this.
Ive tried ordering filters from these people twice and both times it ended horribly.Their customer service is terrible, they try to change prices on you after an order and everything is just generally shady. AVOID!
