I saw both Chad Nicholson and his wife. They were excellent. They took a lot of time with me explaining everything and they have the most current technology to check your eyes. They also recommended an excellent cataract surgeon and did all of my follow up visits to get my vision back to 20/20. I definitely recommend them!

My eye doctor was amazing and did such a thorough exam! I had an eye exam a month earlier with another provider but had a terrible experience so I went here for a second opinion. He was so professional and took extra time to explain all aspects of my exam & also listened to all of my concerns. I highly recommend!

The staff here were very prompt and showed genuine care and compassion towards me throughout my appointment. The ladies at the front desk were a pleasure to speak to, the young man doing the initial eye exams was very patient and friendly, and the optometrist made sure I felt comfortable and took her time to ensure I was answering honestly and getting me the most accurate read on my new prescription. Dr. Kristen also took the time to speak to me about my optic nerves and explained the slight change in my new prescription. I felt very well taken care of and appreciate the care I was given here.

The staff was amazing. They were kind and so helpful. The optometrist was fantastic. He explained everything in a way that made it fun & interesting for a eye appointment. Lol.

Professional and polite and knowledgeable staff. I was taken care of in a timely fashion. Kristen helped me change my prescription which has already helped the strain on my eyes at work today. Zoe was sweet and gave me great tips on the frames. Ethan was great on guiding me through my tests with patience and humor. The place was immaculate too.

Dr. Nicholson is so wonderful, I always end up looking forward to coming here for my annual eye exam! Despite having had contacts for decades, I had a list of questions coming into my most recent exam and Dr. Nicholson was so thoughtful and patient in all of her replies to me and made sure I was satisfied and fully understood each answer she gave. I also once had a timing issue with timing of receiving my contacts from a third party (my own fault) and the clinic didn’t hesitate to step up and help me out in a pinch! This place is absolutely A+ in my book!

The amazing person on the phone squeezed me in when I told her I was suffering from headaches, she also scheduled my family for checkups at the same time. I showed up early, they were so kind, and mentioned they had a cancellation, able to fit my daughter in today. Bonus!!! Then were over apologetic when we had to wait a few minutes between our eye exam and the eye test. We laughed, because they had been nothing but gracious. However with Covid, many people have forgotten their manners, and you could tell this staff have been mis treated by a few patients.Highly recommend them!

I recently moved to Colorado and have been suffering from severe dry eye. I’ve been seeing Dr. Lundgren for this issue. He is the most thorough, caring eye doctor I’ve ever had. He accurately prescribed me drops (after trying several that didn’t work) and has given my the ability to wear contacts again by helping find the perfect fit for my unique situation. Dr. Nicholson was excellent. He took the time to talk to me about the details of what the eye exam revealed and even some interesting advances in eye imaging technology. He was very open about what I needed (basically nothing). I would highly recommend him as an eye doctor. Seemed to be a great guy too, very thoughtful.

Dr. Kristen was great. Took lots of time to discuss old eye issues and provide insight into options. She took a lot of time working on my prescription to tweak it in as best possible, and showed me the before and after prescriptions so I’d have an idea of the difference.

Dr. Chad Nicholson and the rest of the staff at Altitude Eye Care are awesome! My family and I have been going to them for over 10 years. We have had great experiences everytime. Chad is very knowledgeable and even takes the to help educate us on how our vision works. Even though we only see him once a year, he always remembers us as if we are old friends!

I went to Dr. Zachary Lundgren to get a prescription for glasses just for playing golf. I have had Lasik surgery but opted for mono vision where my dominate eye is for long distance and my other is for reading. Dr. Lundgren was very helpful and did an excellent job in analyzing my needs. His first prescription was unfortunately too good in that my non-dominate eye was now much better than my other eye creating creating an issue. The staff was very helpful in getting a reanalysis scheduled and with the help of Dr. Lundgren we opted to lower my prescription on the reading eye just a little and now it is perfect. Everyone was so helpful and having the Lens Crafters in the same place made it very convenient.

The people are excellent! The service was great! My optometrist was very down to earth and personable. Works have given them 5 stars except for the fact that they have no restrooms for guests right now because of COVID and I had to walk REALLY far on my foot that needs surgery to use one during my hour and a half visit.

Horrible experience with front desk staff. Had been bringing my kids here for years but skipped last year due to COVID. Had scheduled new appointment later this month but needed some help with previous prescription for contacts while on vacation. Front desk staff was rude and not helpful. Called back and canceled appointments due to this negative interaction and the response I received was perfect. To be fair, we never had any bad experiences with the doctors but this put a bad taste in my mouth and we wont be returning.

We have been going to this office for several years. They are all wonderful and very thorough. I like that we can go anywhere to fill our prescriptions. Our glasses have always been just the right prescription. Highly recommended!

They were so great with helping define what ins would pay for and our out of pocket expenses would be. Even kept the kids occupied while Mom was trying to shop for herself! Loved going here as a one-stop, eye appt, then buying glasses and picking them up next day!

This experience was very professional as always and as enjoyable as an eye exam can be. I always look forward to visiting Dr. Nicholson as he explains and covers all aspects of my exam as it relates to eye health and vision needs.

Other than having to wait 30 minutes for my appointment everything was perfect. This was actually a follow up visit that I had been putting off. I went to the Parkmeadows branch and the doctor there said my prescription got better, like way better and put me in a new pair of contacts that I couldn’t possibly read with them. I told her as much, she said give it a week it will likely get better. I took them out when I got home, I could actually read better without them! I finally called the Southlands branch (my original location a year ago) told them the issue and got in to see doctor the next day. I was told there would be a $45 fee for waiting so long for a follow up. I was ok with that. The doctor looked at my previous and current so called prescription, asked a couple of questions and said I know what you need. Said he made a minor tweak to my year old prescription, I tried the contacts and could read again!! I was in his office 10 minutes and when we walked out he said no charge!

Had a complete vision checkup including HD retina scan. Very quick and easy. Dr.Kristin was friendly and very professional. She explained what has been happening since my previous checkup and what my options are for vision correction. I would happily recommend her to anyone.

My experience was excellent. I got the chance to meet an assistant who was fairly new at the office; but one could not tell. She was extremely professional and explained everything that she was trying to accomplish during the initial part of my exam. There were plenty of sophisticated machines/instruments for taking measurements. She was familiar enough to tell me their purpose to my satisfaction. (Being in the healthcare field, I tend to ask questions about stuff).Dr Nicholson, who did the definitive exam was extraordinary as well. For over 6 years, Altitude Eye Care at Southlands has provided excellent eye care to me..Each year, when I purchase my health insurance, I make sure that Altitude Eye Care is in network for me.Dr. Kristin continues to be my eye doctor..I trust her and she knows my struggles with eye health. In 1997, I had a detached retina in my right eye...The surgery was successful for which I am profoundly grateful but Dr. Kristin has taught me the recognize the warning signs of retina troubles.. I also live with MS and sometimes my eye health may be effected if I have a MS attack... If concerns with my eye health arise, I know I can contact Dr. Kristin or Dr. Chad right away.For the future, I know I will be a patient at Altitude Eye Care. The employees in this store always take time to help me with my glass prescription..I highly recommend families make Altitude Eye Care at Southlands their eye care providers for the future.

I had what was later determined to detached retina - The office got me in the same day for an eye exam. After my eye exam, the doctor went though and thoroughly explained what he thought was wrong. My doctor personally called and and waited on hold for 20 minutes to get me into a retinal specialist the same day - which led to surgery the next morning- Very patient and knowledgeable during a very stressful time -I will never go anywhere else but Southlands for my eye exams, glasses, etc. Thanks again for all your help!
