Friendly staff, a lot of good products, pretty easy to get in and out but for the start of the day when all the landscapers are lined up, I knocked out a pretty sweet backyard update using their squeegee and red flagstone. Turned out great.

I had the absolute best experience. This was my first time buying bulk rock (river and breeze) and everyone was so helpful on the phone during order and delivery scheduling. I needed 6 tons total with delivery to alley and they were able to accommodate this by using 2 smaller trucks. Best part was Nathan who delivered the rock! He was so friendly and helpful (helped me find a way to not dump all the breeze on some weeds, and I am VERY grateful for his expertise), and seriously just an all around great human. Wonderful overall experience with Pioneer. I’ll 100% use them again.

I just had 4 yards of red mulch delivered, and Nathan did an amazing job. He called me to let me know that he was on his way, and also pointed where the material should be dumped in order to make it a easier as possible for me. Overall great customer service!

Ordered a few yards of mulch as a quick alternative for landscaping my backyard for a family event. The driver, Nathan, was awesome! He arrived a few minutes early and was very courteous. I was having trouble deciding the best location for him to leave the mulch and instead of rushing me, he asked me a few questions about where it was going and how quickly I planned on getting done. Because of his help, I was able to make a decision. Once it was decided, he quickly delivered the mulch onto my driveway and did it kept it neat! Because of his customer service, I’ll definitely be using this company again!

Just got a delivery of stone. I asked the driver, Nathan Gray, if he could dump it in the exact spot where the wife wanted the stones, so I would not have to move a literal ton of rocks. Nathan did an AMAZING JOB! He was very careful and very precise. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pioneer, and if there is any way to request Nathan, do so. You will not be disappointed

We recently purchased a new home and worked on our landscape over the summer. My husband (KP) and I visited Pioneer several times a week over the summer. Xavier went out of his way to answer our questions and provided excellent customer service. We would recommend this location to anyone! Their service is great and if your are lucky enough to get service from Xavier, it will be exceptional.

This company is untrustworthy and cannot do simple math. I called Pioneer and spoke with Tony and ordered half a ton of sand to be delivered. By their account, half a ton should be 125 square feet by 2 inches (which is 20.83 cubic feet, 125 sq ft x .17 ft= 20.83 cu ft). Half a ton is the minimum order which would be 11 cu ft MORE than the 9 cu feet I needed.Sand was delivered while I was at work and I knew upon seeing it that it wasnt nearly enough for the amount I needed to lay substrate in my chicken run and coop. There is no way there is even half the amount I ordered. I needed 9 cu feet, which would have been almost half of the total ordered. I filled 4 wheel barrows 1/3 full.I emailed Josh and he said he could deliver another half ton for just a $60 delivery fee and the additional sand would be free. This is ridiculous. If they had delivered the correct amount I wouldnt be in this situation. Im now making plans to visit Home Depot for the remainder at about $10 per cubic foot which will still be less expensive than the free sand plus delivery free. Future orders for larger projects will be purchased by a more reputable company. Steer clear of Pioneer Sand and Gravel!

The driver, Nathan Gray, was very professional, asking me where I wanted the gravel, and we briefly discussed the relative benefits of where I wanted it and why, how big a footprint it would use, and agreed on the best place for the load. He was very personable as well, making for an overall great experience buying from Pioneer Landscape.I would also mention that the sales person was also extremely helpful.Together, we will certainly go back for our needs for soil, mulch and stacked stone.

Pioneer Sand and Gravel is awesome! My HOA required me to replace the mulch in my yard in 5 days. With challenges of a short timeline and a disabled truck, Pioneer of Aurora’s customer service has renewed my faith that there are companies that care about their customers. I really appreciate my neighbor Travis the VP of Finance, Josh the manager of the Aurora location, and drivers Mike from Parker and Nathan from Aurora who placed the mulch in the yard so that it could be easily distributed throughout the yard. All of this coordination helped me meet the HOA’s deadline and avoid a fine. I will use Pioneer for all of my future landscaping projects!

This is the best place to get landscaping supplies. Everything from large trailer loads to just a couple buckets of rocks. Always easier and cheaper than Home Depot. Xavier was really helpful with all my needs.

This place is garbage.First time going in I had a very large order of rock and sand. The employee behind the counter was overwhelmed with business and because of my quantity he handed me over to the assistant store manager. I gave the numbers to him… he said he would get back to me in a day or two to work out delivery. I gave him 4 days and never received a call. So I called him. Never was able to get a hold of him (3 attempts). Went to Quality Soil in Franktown. Customer service there was amazing. Ordered my rock/sand and picked my delivery dates on the same day. The ladies there were amazing.Second time going in I went for pavers (quality soil only had flagstone). Went in and talked to them. The employee behind the desk actually sent me to another company before even trying to help me get pavers picked out. Sent me right next door. Unfortunately they only sold to contractors.Third times a charm? I had no choice. Pioneer was the only one who was selling infill I needed for the grass. Actually got a hold of them. Got the infill ordered. Currently I’m waiting on it to be delivered. I’ve been trying to contact them for 3 hours today. No one will answer a phone. The option to leave a message just hangs up on you. Who knows how this will work out. Maybe I get my order, maybe I don’t?How they have such high reviews on google is beyond me. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Their customer service is beyond horrible.

After a couple of mediocre phone and email experiences to get my gravel ordered, Nathan showed up with the product on-time, and eager to do his job well. He maneuvered his truck in our alley until he had it exactly where he (I) wanted it and delivered precisely.Nathan brightened my day by being great at his job and taking pride in it, all with a big smile on his face and a little kindness thrown in. I stopped by Pioneer looking for river rocks to make a new native fish tank. I found some awesome red rocks and knew right away this was the route I wanted to go. I quickly realized I didn’t have a way to transport the rocks so I went to the office to see if they had bags or something I could use. The manager gave a brand new 5 gallon bucket and said that I could have it! I did not expect them to above and beyond so I decided to write a review.I’ve used Pioneer in the past and will be a life long customer based on the attitude of the staff and the awesome prices, you can’t get a better deal at any big box store for the items I need.

Fantastic experience! I stopped in to find rock for my yard and the girl Crystal was very accommodating. She gave me free rock to take home and see what looked best before I purchased. I highly recommend them.

I own a masonry company in Denver and I use pioneer all the time for sand etc. in recent weeks I’ve been very unhappy with the quality of the product. Every time we get sand from them it’s full of dirt and rocks which dramatically slows down production on site.I’ll be getting my materials elsewhere from now on.

We ordered six 1-ton boulders for our yard (we live on a corner lot, and were hoping this might protect us and our home from a potential car crash someday). We couldnt be more pleased with the cost, service, and delivery. We chose specific boulders at the Airport Blvd. (Aurora, CO) location. The staff marked the boulders as ours, set them aside for us, and delivered and placed them a few days later. Tom delivered them and was very competent in unloading, placing, and orienting them. He was very accommodating, and placed and oriented them with surgical precision. Much praise and many thanks! Pioneer Landscape is now our default landscape supplier.

I went today and order some material and I was waiting until it was our turn. Everything was normal as usual but as we were waiting to be next the person who was(Caucasian) in charge of loading the material was being extremely rude. He was being rude to others as well even the prior two people who were before me he was being rude to them. When it was our turn he completely ignored us and kept doing other things. Since he was being rude we didnt hold back and had a argument. It is not okay for him to be disrespectful and rude to others. I would not recommend to go to this location and I will not be going to this location again.

Went to get mulch with my mom a couple weeks ago and had a great experience. The employees running the desk were helpful and friendly, even after some confusion on our part. The younger guy who loaded us up was super friendly and helped us get the amount we ordered into our truck (small bed).

Today my hope of kindness and faith was restored by an employee name Bryan. He was very professional and helpful to what I stop in for.....Kudos to him!!

I visited Pioneer about a week ago and was assisted by Xavier. He was so helpful in showing us various options and matching mulch to rock. He even made some color recommendations based on our brick color of the home and educated us on how to determine how much we needed. Great service! Will be returning SOON!

Great customer service! Staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help. Even if they dont have an answer, theyll get you to someone who does. Expect to wait around when it gets busy though as weve seen some pretty high traffic times.Also, the yard has a pretty good selection of on hand materials. Even if a material they carry is not on site, they can coordinate a delivery from another location around Denver.

Xavier was awesome to work with on picking out our wood mulch, and he was very insightful, helpful and took his time with my wife and I, even though we showed up close to closing time. The knowledge that Xavier and Josh provided on the various mulches was awesome. Even the loader was friendly and quick to get us loaded up. It was great to deal with each of them and I highly recommend.

Ordered two loads from Berthoud store, very poor quality, mulch isfull of clay. Yard manager is very rude and accusational saying productdid not originate from their yard. Refuses to return even aftersaying they would credit bad mulch. This at one time was a reputable decent company. Now the managers treat you like garbage-very dissapointed in how this was handled.

The guys at Pioneer Landscape were great. Drove down to pick up some concrete sand on a very hot day, and of course the truck overheated soon as they loaded me up. Xavier and Tom helped push my overheated truck out of the way while it cooled down enough to start up and leave. Xavier even came back with bottles of water while I waited. Huge shout out for the product and service, but even on a personal level and lending a helping hand. Thanks everyone!
