Nice store and they have a huge amount of space. The sales people are friendly but difficult to find someone to help. It may be because the store is huge. The fabric stock is lower than I have seen it in the past.

I forgot her name but it was a older lady who worked there who took her time helping me find everything that I needed to make my silk red scarf with gold lace trimming. Everyone in the store was helpful and they had ALLOT to choose from.

I needed help finding the right fabric for a dress my aunt was going to make me and not knowing anything about fabrics, I was very grateful I was helped until I found what I needed. I will be recommending the store and returning myself. I wish Id remembered the name of the amazing lady that helped me, but I am certain everyone there would have given me the same attentive help.

Best fabric store in Denver area. They have a decent amount of selection and the staff are friendly and nice. Never too crowded. Well worth the drive as it is far better than Joanns and other big box craft stores as Colorado Fabrics is specific to fabric/sewing. Not the massive fabric stores youll find in other capital cities, but it is the best around Denver.

Brought my machine in for repairs with Steve Kraft. Greeted with friendly service. The store is massive and I am anxious to check it out in detail when I have more time. There are classes, quality fabrics and machines, lots of projects to take and make as well as participate in at the store. Wish it was closer to my neck of the woods but definitely worth my drive!Steve Kraft needs his own review. Super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Reasonable as well. He’s there Tuesday-Thursday 10-12 and 1-4. You can drop off you machine any time the store is open.

I LOVE this store. Worth the drive every time especially if one is looking for fashion fabrics. The classes are very helpful and well structured as well. I find myself driving over to Colorado Fabrics even for notions instead of closer big box stores because of the atmosphere, selection, and quick service.

This is a fun store to shop. They have so many fabrics to choose from and they keep the store organized. I dropped off a pair of scissors to be sharpened today. I will be back soon to pick those up, but I am sure I will also find new fabrics for more projects as well.

Its a great store that has a huge supply of fabrics for all budgets. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and can assist you with any question you have. Classes are also offered it you looking to improve your skills or your a beginner looking to learn the basics. Overall, I would recommend this place wether your a sewing master or just starting to learn the ropes.

Excellent selection and friendly staff. Getting fabric cut can take a while, depending on the volume of customers, but usually it is fast. Youll never want to go to a big box fabric store after visiting Colorado Fabrics.

I have been dealing with Colorado Fabrics since they used to be Denver Fabrics....They have a staff of very knowledgeable people on all aspects of fabric and sewing.... I have been dealing with them for over 23 years... I consider them 1st rate and very reasonable prices!

Good selection terrible service. Been here three times and only once was really assisted. First time I stood at the cutting table for well over a half hour and thought maybe I cut the fabric myself so proceeded with the scissors on the table. Was promptly yelled at. Where were you a half hour ago when you saw me standing at the table waiting. Second time I went found the luxury shag I was looking for. Asked to have 2 yards and she proceeded to rip the fabric down the grain but this ended up shorting me 9 inches on one side which I only noticed when I got home due to her botched job ripping it. My last time there was today. Again met with waiting at the cutting table for again.. over a half hour. When a very nice gal came and helped me cut my fabrics.Good products but they really need to work on customer service. Your store isnt packed or crowded so please step up the customer relations.

As a fabric, quilting and notions store, they hit many of the requirements most seamsters would have. I like how open and airy the store is, with lots of room to browse. The customer service Ive received, such as sewing advice, is above average and friendly, although you will probably wait a few minutes for your turn to be helped.One complaint is they dont regularly restock the thread and some things like trim and notions. You see a lot of missing items on shelves And they have fewer brands/less variety of threads than the major craft retailers. I also think they could discount bolt ends more to encourage shoppers to visit.I hope they stay in business, because its wonderful to have a neighborhood fabric store thats not a chain.

I just had the most rude experience ever. I had talked to Laura on the phone who was most amazing and gave me loads of great information for projects with my memory care residents. When i came to check it all out in person, i was first ignored by an older lady working then when i tried to solicit help she told me they dont offer project idea help here. When i further explained what i was trying to do as projects with my memory care residents she scoffed at me at which point I chose to leave rather then be rude back. I didnt expect a red carpet experience but I didnt expect to be blown off or treated as a joke either. My suggestion would be to have people that are eager to work with a range of demographics, especially when the person anticipated spending good money in your store. I am disheartened and dissapointed to say the least.

This place is large and overwhelming for a person with limited sewing experience. I walked in looking for muslin, wandered the place, couldnt find it, and had to go find an employee to ask. Im giving this place four stars because I feel like signage could be a bit better on where stuff is. Its hard to say if the store is understaffed or not but it seemed that there were only two employees cutting fabric when three would probably have been perfect. Still, everyone I interacted with was nice and helpful. I would go back.

This store really sells itself with staff that are super experienced and a selection of fabrics that are wildly unique to this location. Their bargain sections offer awesome budget friendly options even in addition to their great prices! Plus, seriously guys, its HUGE.

I live close to Colorado Fabrics and love looking through the store at all of the great finds. Definitely worth the visit.I would express, as others have, that patience is required when shopping here. There have been over a handful of times where Ive been waiting to be checked out and no one is at the register. Although staffing might be an issue, I also think its an issue with organizing the employees that are on the clock. Most of the employees that do end up checking me out are very, VERY slow. But, if you have the time and you want to find great fabric, this is the place to go!My only other hope is that the store gets modernized. A new generation of crafters are cropping up and I fear stores like this will end up becoming obsolete as stores like Fancy Tiger take over. Offering eclectic fabrics, notions, books, etc. would be wise, along with offering a website. Im shocked there isnt one (or one thats easy to find) already out there! As an MBA graduate, I want to do what I can to help out because, I really do love this store!

This is an independently owned local fabric store with a large selection and variety of fabrics. They have beautiful silks and home decor fabric as well as many unusual utilitarian fabrics, such as those used for outdoor equipment.

AMAZING local fabric store. Their discount outdoors section is to die (or dye) for. I made a coat a few years ago with sine discount wool from the store and had to make modification this winter. Found nearly identical wool AND the exact buttons i bought years ago. I go out of my way for this store.

Love, love, love this place. Everytime Im here I find what Im looking for and so much more to inspire me. It also feels so great to have fantastic staff with fantastic customer service. I truly love shopping here.

I love Colorado Fabrics! I have been shopping there for the past 10 years, when they still had the Annex stores and it was Denver Fabrics and will continue to do so. I usually need about an hour there and if I have a specific fabric for a project in mind and need fabrics cut, I plan a good 2 hours.I have never been treated rude there! The ladies are wonderful but if they are busy they seem a bit stressed. I also had the experience that sometimes you have to wait at the checkout but I have never seen anybody chitchat there and I dont mind the wait, sometimes I even see or remember something I forgot when waiting. I have never waited more than 5 minutes anyways and if it seemed longer, I asked for help.

I have been sewing for 45 years -- clothing, drapes, crafts and just about everything! I am a devoted customer here at Colorado Fabrics having patronized Denver Fabrics (their predecessor) since it was opened.The new ownership has done nothing but IMPROVE what I thought was the best of the best! I went to Colorado Fabrics for the first time yesterday. The staff was very helpful and we did not have a difficult time finding someone to help us like some people have said. The selection of metal clasps was a little low as there were a lot of “reorder” tags hung up but we were able to find what we were looking for. The kids area was a nice place to keep my son occupied with my husband while I shopped.

Great customer service. Tons of fabric and fun and great clearance section.

Just a great, classic American diner. Our waitress Cassandra was fantastic. Our coffee never went empty and we were seated, served and out the door in under an hour. With the price of breakfast sky rocketing across Denver due to hipster spots like snooze and jelly Im happy to have found a mom and pop shop thats serving up great food at a reasonable price.

Wasn’t too thrilled that the lady who checked me out forgot to bag my bargain pieces which were left on the scale, after driving 40 mins home. Overall clean store, not at all busy when I came in around noon on a Monday. Selection was fine just not exactly what I was hoping to find-compared to the cuter patterns at Hobby Lobby at a waaay cheaper price per yard (compare $4.89 to $13.99 for all quilting cotton selections)

I always spend too much money here, but that is because they always have what I need plus a heap of other awesome things. And if they don’t have it for some reason they usually know where I can get it. Very excited to see more costume specific items like worbola. I haven’t managed to make it to any of their events yet, but my friends tell me I am missing out.

What was once upon a time Denver Fabrics has moved again, and again they are amazing. Knowledgeable staff are friendly, and unusually open to your softgoods or sewing project. I have never had a great experience at any other fabric store anywhere in the US because I got used to this gem.

This store is fabulous and has more to offer each time I go! I went in to select a fabric to bind a quilt I had made, and had trouble finding just the right thing. I stepped into the quilting area to see if I could get an opinion and the two ladies working in there literally dropped everything to help me out! For quite some time, we tired a variety of fabrics and came up with just the right one! Great that service like this is still out there! Ill be back for all of my quilting needs for sure! Than you!

Disappointed by how my family and I were treated as soon as we walked in the door. Im in town visiting from Wyoming and our town only had walmart so I was in dire need of new fabric. I had my elderly mom, 2 teen daughters and a toddler daughter. The toddler had her bottle which I normally keep in my purse. One employee very rudely said there was a no drink policy while standing in front of the carts. No hello or sorry to let you know or just put it politely. So we didnt grab a cart right away. Then we walk a few more feet into the store and another employee said you need to watch her referring to the baby again since her sandals were off. I said well maybe we just need to leave since this store isnt very welcoming. Then the employee said oh well theres pins she could step on a pin you dont need to leave. While we shopped the first employee kept an eye on my teen daughter and toddler while at the play area. I had no choice but to get what I needed. I spent over $100 even though it was a bad experience. I will probably not be back to this store unless I absolutely have to.

This is my favorite fabric store in Denver. It has a wide variety of fabrics for bridal, outer wear, home decor, quilting, and garments. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

I loved this store when it was Denver Fabrics. The new atmosphere of the place is horrible. I use to be able to go into Denver Fabrics and shop and get a lot of different fabrics (since I live so far away that is the only way to make it worth it) now they look at you like you dont know what you are doing if you have more than three fabrics in hand. Also, at Denver Fabrics you were allowed to cut your own fabric on the bargain side of the store so we did not know they had changed the rules since our last visit and just cut the fabric ourselves. They even had the cutting tables out in every corner of the store so it seemed like it was for the customers to use and they left scissors on the table. There was no sign that the rule was changed at the table we used and when we got to the cash register the lady through a huge fit on how we cut our own fabric. She checked how much we cut and it matched what we wrote down. She did not even check if the price was right that we had written down. She then insulted us for our cutting techniques and the side she complained about was the side that someone else cut before us. The last comment I will make is that the price of the fabric has dramatically increased and I can now find the same fabric for cheaper online. Do not shop here.

Great place to get outdoor fabrics like nylon, Gortex, neoprene. I dont know of another place. Sorry to hear you are moving to Aurora. I wont make it out there. Would prefer just opening a new branch.

I went in found exactly what I needed at a price I was happy with and was back out in just a few minutes. Other times I get distracted by all options and loose track of time.

I LOVE this store! I drive about 3 hours and spend almost the entire day here. I was told that you closed, Im ecstatic that you just moved.

Whoever answered the phone this morning to answer my question was quite stuck up. I just called to ask if they carried bolt fabric of aida and was cut off mid sentence and told THEY ARE NOT A CRAFT STORE! I do sew as well. I will definitely not be spending my money here! Geez! Had a sewing machine repaired here. The women were so busy chatting they didnt see the customers waiting. Paid cash for the repair, got a receipt I dont think that they paid him for repair. I will find a more friendly and professionial place

Decent accommodations for uninterested husbands. Some comfy chairs in the back with a TV and a nice assortment of magazines. If your wife is going to drag you to a store you have little to no interest in, there are definitely worse options.

Im so grateful to find a real-live fabric store without out all the insta-craft garbage that now fills the so-called chain fabric stores. This place is unbelievable and like something you would usually find only in NYC or LA. If you like to sew, this is the place. I found the service to be on par with any other fabric store, meaning there were some staff who were clearly more experienced when it came to sewing than others. The person I asked didnt know the answer, but they found somebody who did. I received the help I needed to make my purchase. I drove from Northern New Mexico (@ 5 hours each way) and it was definitely worth it. I cant choose fabrics solely online and this place is one of the few left (certainly in the middle of the country) where you can see/touch. I, for one, am grateful a store like this is able to exist and compete with online stores.

I have to write how incredibly grateful I am to have spoken with your employee Molly in the store first. It has been a long time since I have seen someone go above and beyond like she did, especially when I was eventually being pushed out of the store at closing by one of the impatient older females. I was pretty shocked but I packed up my stuff that I purchased and left (10 minutes before closing). Molly took so much time explaining things to me and helping me think through my project, on top of handling other clients in between. She showed a huge amount of patience as I have no experience whatsoever and I learned a ton. She is quite the gem. Be grateful you have such an amazing employee. Thanks again!!

I have to always remind myself that it just is not what it used to be. The selection is just ok now.Customer service today was just ok. I had to keep hunting people down to get help. Two of the 4 people I was trying to get help from were not only not helpful but not very kind.

I went into the store on Saturday evening to shop for some fabric for Easter. I could only see 2 employees which were already helping other customers and several more customers were waiting for fabric to get cut. For a Saturday, it seemed to me that there should be more employees to help the constant flow of customers. It was also hard to keep track of which customers were first to get fabric cut so I ended up leaving the store. I would much rather wait in an orderly line at JoAnns than come here again.

I loved Denver Fabrics and was really sad to see it close. After the business was sold they changed the name to Colorado Fabrics and new owners took over the pre-existing store. What a shame that is. The atmosphere at Denver Fabrics was fun and creative. I hadnt been by in about 6 months and stopped by to look around for some fabric for an upcoming project and was shocked at how much the store looked the same. While they seem to have decorated the place with projects and sewing patterns, the carpeting is still filthy dirty and the walls and ceiling are water stained and brown. I did not notice any employees around as I started up and down the rows of fabric and found something I wanted. I searched for a few minutes looking for assistance and found an older woman with blondish hair and asked her where I could get my fabric cut. I apparently interrupted her having a personal conversation - something to do with her being a part owner in the store as she seemed annoyed that I had bothered her. She pointed at a nearby cutting table and quickly walked away. A younger blonde sales girl cut my fabric and I thanked her. I proceeded through the store to look again and encountered the same woman I had previously in the decorator fabrics. Again she was in the corner chatting, completely avoided any eye contact and couldnt get away fast enough to avoid helping me. I used to shop here quite a bit before and many of the previous sales employees are gone. I would likely attribute this to the horrible management, negative atmosphere and the sky rocketed pricing. While it appears that there is a sale going on, everything is marked up to then be marked down. I would not recommend shopping here and will refrain from ever doing so again. What a complete waste of my time and a blemish on a once thriving Colorado institution.
