I just bought a our first bow for my 10yr old who has been doing archery for awhile. Jake helped us from the moment we walked in, and the experience was really great. I don’t know that much about archery myself, but Jake slowly walked us through all the steps. He took s great deal of time making sure the bow pull weight and distance were perfect for my son, as well as repeatedly adjusting the peep and sight.I world definitely recommend Archery Country, especially Jake. I will be taking my daughter in shortly for her first bow and feel very confident in how that will work out as well.

So me and a friend came here from Dallas and didnt know what to expect. When we came in it was a little intimidating to see so many people who had their own bows and knew alot about the sport. We had came just to shoot at the archery range but had to wait a little bit till the range cleared out. It was actually amazing to see the guys behind the counter quickly and skillfully fixing bows and strings and helping various people with their issues. When it was our turn to go to the range, the person who helped us took the time to show us how to properly shoot and told us the rules of the range. After a few shots I felt more at ease as everybody around me was super friendly and welcoming. Overall great experience and great people.

I just want to thank the guys at archery country for being so helpful and sweet. I had tire issues and needed help changing it luckily I pulled over at the right place with their southern charm they gladly helped me and made sure I was okay. Great spot with knowledgeable staff who are attentive and friendly. You can walk in and out as a new to archery person, like I am, and speak frankly about your relative lack of knowledge and not feel self conscious. You also know they won’t take advantage of your lack of knowledge. They’ve talked me and connected me with seller of used bow even though it meant losing the sale of a new bow with them!

These guys were top notch. “Tank” was a HUGE help and took the time to answer all of our questions and get our bows adjusted. I am brand new to bow hunting and they never made me feel dumb for not knowing something or for fumbling around with all the equipment. I will take my business back there time and time again.

I was gifted a Matthew’s bow from a friend and went it expecting to need a whole new set up . From draw length to poundage. Potentially even needing a full tuning . I am a brand new shooter and fully expected to be told that I needed a massive amount of upgrades/accessories. Tommy was my designated representative and he was fantastic. He measured me, talked me through some minor technical issues he saw in my draw and thoroughly explained to me what was going on. I was extremely impressed with his ability to relate to me the customer as a brand new shooter with a high end piece of equipment (probably even too nice for my skill level) as well as his professionalism. I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. I will definitely be return business from here on out. Even with the close to an hour commute.

Myself and two friends all bought bows for fun and sport. We are all basically beginners and came in together to look at the bows and test drive them, so to speak. We all decided on the same bow, but they did not have the color we wanted in stock. Jordan determined our starting specs, draw length and weight. When the bows came in they were set-up for each of us. When we came in to pick them up we were given individual instruction and minor adjustments were made to the bows. We also learned about the differences in the arrows. We then purchased arrows that were cut to length for each of us. Jordan, Tommy, and Chase were awesome! By the time we left we were all comfortable and knowledgeable about our bows and how to use them safely. You dont get that kind of service and the typical sporting goods stores! I also did quite a bit of price comparing before and after the sale. Archery Country prices are just as good, in some cases better, than the big box sporting goods stores. You also get 5 hours of free range time with the purchase of a new bow. We will be back even after our 5 hours is used up. Being indoors at an awesome range is well worth the range fee of $10 an hour. We are all sold on Archery Country. Dont waste your time going anywhere else.

Stopped in today to get my daughters bow string put back on and her bow checked for damage after an accidental dry fire. Jake helped me out and was friendly and certainly more knowledgeable than myself. I could have hung out in here looking around for hours. Ive been interested in learning archery for a couple years now and decided to finally give it a shot. Matt is a great teacher especially if youre a beginner like me. I went in not having a clue what I was doing and now Im confident enough to use their range and practice on my own. Matt is very knowledgable and can break down ideas in a way that I (someone who knows nothing about archery) can understand. I cant wait to go back for more practice!

Overall the best archery shop and range I’ve been to in the Austin area. I got my first recurve bow from here, along with arrows and various other pieces of equipment. Everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire process, from selecting a bow brand, size, and draw weight; to fine tuning it and selecting the appropriate arrows; to testing out the bows I liked on their indoor range. Matt was especially very helpful during this process and took the time to fine timing my bow, as well as answer any questions I had. There was a huge selection to choose from and everything archery-related you could need was right there in the shop. 10/10 would recommend for anyone of any level looking to buy a bow and/or equipment, get repairs done, or just shoot on the range.

After trying 3 different bow shops in San Antonio, I finally had enough and made the drive to Austin. The pros at Archery Country made it well worth the drive. They retuned my bow, adjusted my draw length, and even gave me some quick instruction on how to improve my form. They also found some cracks on my limbs and filed all the warranty info for me. The extra drive is worth it to know that everything is set up just how I need it.

They were very helpful and showed me the basics. All the people who were there to practice were really easy to talk to. It was alot of fun

Picked up a new Mathews from these guys. Passionate, knowledgeable staff with a great focus on customer service. They set me up with what I needed from the get go and advised that I build my new bow slowly beyond its essential components. They didnt try and oversell, but encouraged I get a feel for the whole setup before adding the non-essential. Classy place playing the long game not trying to the sneak quick buck.

We got our bows worked on, and chronographed, and had an amazing time with all the knowledgeable staff. Ive never had a bow before, so I bought a used one on craigslist. I took it to Archery Country to get it set up, and they were great! Tank took the time to get my bow all ready to go, and helped me decide on some arrows. He then took the time to teach me how to shoot, and get my bow sighted in. All of this great service on a bow I didnt even buy from there. Granted I payed a small fee to get it set up, but Tank went above and beyond to get me feeling comfortable with my bow. Ill definitely be back. I couldnt ask for better service.

Went in for the first time yesterday with a bow I won in a raffle and zero knowledge about it. Jake get me straightened out. So I called & spoke with someone on the phone conversation went great, “come on in & we can let you try out some bows no problem” they say, so i walk in sure i was greeted cool deal, but when it came to trying out some bows well that’s when things got weird. The guy i spoke with initially on the phone didn’t want anything to do with me at all why IDK well actually i think i do(skin color). Okay that’s fine ill let him be, the first guy I was talking with in the store that tried to pass me on to the guy I first talked to on the phone well he got weird as well & was like well we have to change out cams for your draw length etc....... but he had this demeanor like it was a huge inconvenience for him etc......... I felt as though they(guy on the phone) thought my ethnic back ground was something else until I walked into the store & he realized i was the guy on the phone. Pretty messed up if you ask me I will not be buying from this place oh well.

Ive been going to this shop for a few years now, and the guys have been genuinely helpful each and every time that I stop by. I like all the recent changes to the shop, and the amount of knowledge these folks bring to the table. Only possible downside is that they can get pretty busy during peak hours, so if you need a lot of work done, try to go on off times if you can.

The shops are okay. I find the archery classes lacking a professional approach when it comes to dealing with customers. I would recommend a different facility. I registered my son for the beginner class. we came in during the ice. Was told there was not enough equipment for him to participate in the class. Why didnt you tell me when I registered him for the class and you asked on your form about equipment. Even says you will provide it. I would not have driven over. I even reconfirmed this morning before coming over. at some point the instructor should review his class and say I do not have enough equipment for the students I have registered. Thank you Roland!

I had a great time here, never done archery before, but I really liked it. I wish that they would have compound bows for rent so that you can see if this was something you really wanted to take up. The gun range has a variety of guns to rent to use. I really liked it none the less. The facility was nice and the prices are nice. Everyone there is really helpful as well. Good times. There is great parking out front too.

Best Customer Experience Ever. They took the time to talk to me and explain what and why my bow needed to be fixed and the pricing was very competitive. Best place in Austin Texas to get a Bow or have one serviced, the indoor range is a big plus.

The staff is incredible. Literally every single person was incredibly helpful and willing to take the time to break everything down Barney style for a person with essentially zero prior experience shooting a bow. From the body mechanics to the breakdown of the bow and components. I went from knowing zero to consistently hitting at 20 yards in less than three hours. The facility itself is great. My Son also shot a bow for the first time and now he wont stop asking to go shoot. This place and the staff gave my Son and I a newfound love and appreciation for something we can share for a lifetime. I cannot recommend this place enough. Definitely worth the 90 minute trip from San Antonio and the 3 hours of traffic getting back. #noragrets

Guys at the shop were super nice and knowledgeable! Please be aware that this is NOT a firearm firing range. There is a reviewer claiming that they came here and rented firearms onsite and used the shooting range to fire guns... That is not the case. Archery Country does not have a firearm firing range.

Sid & Mike own and run the best archery shop in the state! It is unbelievable how this business completely changed its customer service from years back when Archery Country had the worst customer service possible. I highly recommend this business to everyone when it comes to archery. You will not find a more knowledgeable friendly staff that for anything archery related.

These guys go FAR beyond the call when it comes to customer service! Lots of businesses will help a customer to make a sale, but these guys honestly seem most interested in helping people with archery whether there is a sale to make or not. They are always friendly and helpful! They are the best!

Great Experience. The owners were there, and the employees were all very helpful. They deal in top of the line equipment, I purchased a new Mathews Z7 Extreme. They were having a Saturday party of some kind, the place had free BBQ and other things, but the employee that worked with me still spent almost 2 hours setting up my bow, put on a sight I brought from somewhere else, and helped me sight it in completely. The owner took the time to talk about Bow hunting since Im just starting, and my young sons were there, and he let me know that they do Saturday morning Archery lessons (not sure if they were lessons, thats the word Im using) and the Youth Archery time would give kids the opportunity to shoot bows that are tuned down etc. They have definitely earned my business.

These guys are great. A lot of places like this can be arrogant and a bit too into what they know about bows / archery. Think about it like a pompous gun store. I hate that. What is great about Archery Country is they are excited to help you learn. They answer your questions and leave you room to learn without making you feel like an idiot. What a pleasant experience. I had purchased a bow online because I am a lefty and short so its hard to find a bow. Other shops would either not work on bow because I didnt buy it there or charge a ridiculous amount to work on bow. Not here at Archery Country staff was friendly very attentive and more than willing to get my bow set up and at a price that was beyond fair. I am now signing my son and his friend up for lessons here and will drive the 40 + minutes south versus the 10 minutes north. Customer service is such a key to earning my business. My son and I were down in Austin from Fort Worth for a swim meet at the Lee and Joe Jamail Swimming Center on the UT Campus. We decided to bring our recurve bows with us in case we had a little bit of free time to shoot at a local range. I discovered Archery Country via Google and decided to give them a shot. We spent nearly two hours shooting, The staff was very helpful when I had a question about arrows. The next time we have a swim meet in Austin, I will know where to go for archery. My only suggestion is to make the range a little wider, because archery seems to be a pretty popular thing in Austin. Keep up the good work Archery Country!!!!

Very helpful and friendly staff. Not like other archery shops that just sit around and watch you. Theyre are actually interested in helping you. Great selection of arrows. I was looking to recurves, and they only have the Samick/Galaxy Sage. Cant blame them for that. They have a box of miscut arrow shafts on clearance that are probably the best deals youll find around CenTex!
