My husband and I were looking for a large shade for our front patio, which faces directly east and gets a lot of sun. We did a quick Google search and found Shading Texas - were so glad we did! Jared and his team were quick to respond, did a thorough walkthrough of our space and helped us pick a shade that fit our patio and house color perfectly. The shade runs on rails controlled by a motor & remote and has a nice semi-transparent wind resistant fabric. It works perfectly, not too dark but just right for a cool space we can enjoy during warm Texas days. We were also pleasantly surprised by how streamlined it was, you cant even tell its there when its rolled up. Overall were very happy with our experience; if youre on the fence about getting a shade like this, dont think twice about it, just do it! :)

Im very pleased with the products and services provided by Shading Texas! My patio space is now more usable and an unexpected benefit is a cooler home! Jared was great to work with on the sales side. He knows his stuff and made suggestions that proved wise to consider. The install team did a great job to make the shades and awnings we installed look like they are just part of the house! Shading Texas will not be the least expensive option you can find for shades and awnings, but I will challenge you to find any better.

In late June 2021, I contacted Shading Texas to install two, motorized insect screens to enclose my back patio to prevent flies from coming in.Matt visited my home within a day or two of first contact and gave me an estimate, which I accepted. He also gave me a time estimate of about 5-6 weeks until install.In late August 2021, they performed the install within 3 hours and were very clean and friendly. They seemed very experienced in what they were doing. They also programmed the shades to the different remote channels and got me started with the app for Android.I love these screens. The weekend after they were installed, I power-washed the entire patio and all of the contents in it. I keep them down 24/7 unless I need to let the dogs out, in which case the screens have a preset favorite height to leave just enough room for them to get to the yard. In the photo, there appear to be scuffs, but its just grass that has flew up on the screen.Flies are no longer a nuisance and we have the patio back for entertaining!

Review for Shading Texas.We purchased a beautiful awning from Shading Texas!The awning is well made, has strong weather resistant material, and is easy to use. It is motorized, and the remote works well. It extends and retracts easily and precisely.The owner, Matt Pierce, first came out to our rather remote home to inform us thoroughly, to talk through what kind and size would make sense for us, and to measure and show us samples of the material. - That took a long time and Matt was very patient.A couple of days later we regretted the color and the solid pattern we had chosen, and called Matt to change it. We now wanted a pattern that we found on line. It turned out they didn’t have a sample of this one in stock, so Matt actually ordered a sample and brought that back out here for us to see. We had thought the change could be done over the phone, but he came all the way back out here. He wanted us to see the actual sample to be sure we liked it.We then received a very clear contract.Shortly thereafter a crew of three came and put up the shade. - It turned out they had put the shade a couple of inches to one side and also had not bolted it as Matt and we had agreed on. After a phone call another crew immediately came by to fix that to the specs originally agreed upon.As the second crew left, our gate accidentally closed on their - new looking - truck! The gate made three rather deep gauges and hit a side mirror. We were very sorry and very upset. But the crew took this so calmly. They said it was their work truck. We do have insurance, and asked Matt to take an extra look at the damage. But he took it just as calmly as the crew, and told us not to worry about it.If anything goes wrong, the company’s policy is to call them for any service other than keeping it clean, rather than attempt to fix it yourself.So far, we have enjoyed the awning tremendously, and we use it daily to sit in the shade on our porch.J & E

Shading Texas was recommend to me by a friend, and I could not be happier with the experience. I had two mosquito screens and one sun shade installed and they work and look great. Everyone at the company was responsive and the installation crew was professional. 5 Stars, would screen with them again!

We had our awning installed in mid May and we absolutely love it. It provides much needed shade on our backyard patio. I love that it has a sensor to retract in case of bad weather when you are away from home. Our salesman, Matt has been wonderful and responsive to any questions or issues we have with our awning (just a small issue with it retracting throughout the day which needed a minor adjustment). The techs that come out are respectful and professional and also tell you to call if there is any issue or questions with the awning. Shading Texas offers a high quality, custom product with professional and pleasant installers! My expectations were surpassed. The awning blends beautifully with my home (many compliments). It is very well made, solid, sturdy and runs smoothly. I highly recommend them, and in this Texas heat, the awning has made my porch usable which is just great.

The entire process with the installers, Jon and Bryan, went smoothly from beginning to end, which was today! We now have back patio front and side blinds that are controlled by a remote or an app, and are also on a schedule! I would recommend Shading Texas for this type of project to anyone!

I literally called a day ago to report an issue with my shades and had Ryan come to assess and fix the issue within 24 hours. He was outstanding and extremely professional. He called me to give me a heads up that he was on his way and texted me after to notify me that the issue was resolved. Super polite and prompt! Give this man a raise/promotion! We contacted Shading Texas and we are so thankful that we did. The installation was quick and the guys were very professional. A few months after install we had a tear in the shade. Matt the owner came out and found that a screw came loose and damage the screen. He quickly told me no worries we will get this replace immediately. Matt and his team have great customer service. This review is for an installation August 2019. I am sorry it has taken so long to post. However it provides a good testimony to Shading Texas quality of product and service. We needed two motor driven screens for our patio, problem was they needed to be 24 long. Mike the salesman was quick to get with the owner to solution the problem. They found a somfy motor that could handle the length and weight. Here we are 18 months later and the quality is still there. Installation was quick and very professional. During my first meeting (for an estimate, mind you) Jared designed an installation approach that would preserve the stucco details along the ceiling of the balcony I was looking to shade. I was sold. Installation was perfect: attentive team, quality workmanship and great product. I need to add a shout out to Matt. My install date coincided with the recent freeze and snowstorm, as did two other vendor appointments. Matt was the only one who contacted me before the storm to cancel, and then again during the storm to reschedule. Shading Texas is a professional company.

SHADING TEXAS IS THE BEST GET THE SHADES, ITS WELL WORTH THE COST AND PEICE OF MIND.My wife and I were having a big problem on our back outdoor kitchen patio area with high wind speeds, dust, mosquitoes/flies and hot summer sun rays, every time it rain we would have to cover everything up on the patio to keep it from getting soak and wet, in the winter the fireplace on the patio was just for looks, the wind would take all the heat with it because we have two openings on the covered patio where the wind blew constant and freely.Shading Texas solved all of our patio issues, Matt the sales representative/owner and installers were very professional and courteous, Matt measured the area for automatic shades and gave us a good competitive quote with a military discount.Now the patio area is a great extension to the house, with the shades down we can actually sit on the patio without having to worry about the wind blowing over drinks or anything else thats not tide down, flies and mosquitoes are no more, we can go into the office or on vacation with confidence knowing when rain is coming we can put the automatic shades down or up from anywhere with an app on the phone. We keep the shades down most of the time to cut down on dust from the wind.My wife and I actually spent the night on the patio several times in 30 degree Fahrenheit weather with the fireplace on, now the heat stays on the patio.We can now sit and enjoy the patio in high winds, direct sunlight, rain, sleet or snow the shades keeps everything nice, dry and comfortable.If there is an obstruction under the shades while closing, the shades automatically detect that there is something in the way and rise back up.Shading Texas, Awesome Job!My only regret is, I wish I wouldve had Shading Texas install the shades after the house was built.It would have saved on lots of headaches, itches and broken wine glasses ;^)

Update April 2021: Loved the screens so much we went back for an awning to go over our outdoor kitchen. Just like the screens, the guys did a great job of the installation and the quality of the awning is as we had expected...there are cheaper options out there, but these are built to last!We are loving the new screens and have set up several scenes for different times of the day.Your guys did a great job - glad we paid for the extra quality and solution over the other companies that quoted...well worth it!

I had a fantastic experience with the team from Shading Texas. The customer service was great, product options covered everything Id ever need, and I received the estimate extremely fast. The installation team was extremely professional and obviously knew what they were doing. They also did a great job cleaning up the job site once the installation was completed. Ive been extremely happy with the shade - I used a laser thermometer on the inside glass one afternoon when the shade was down and its easily lowered the glass temperature by 45+ degrees (I know that because I had done the same temperature check on the same glass a week earlier before the shade was installed). I should have had these installed years ago.....

Our new motorized sun shades are awesome!! We absolutely love them!! Never knew how much they were needed! The three shades are operated on one remote control. You can raise and lower them separately, or all at the same time. We can still see the beautiful view outside, through the shades! We had our retractable awning installed last week and are really pleased with it. After losing our shade trees on the back of the house during the June storms we were not able to enjoy our deck at all in the afternoon. I had originally purchased an awning from Sunsetter, after seeing their infomercials on TV. Well, that was a mistake!! My already tearing awning was ripped off during a storm.
