They installed my dash-cam, front and rear, very well. The price wasn’t too expensive for the quality of work they have done. If you are wondering about the price, it is better drive in and talk to them in person because apparently the prices are different for every car. I wouldn’t negotiate the price, because I am very satisfied with the work and the low price.

Owner is an amazing audiophile/audio engineer. Hard to find quality like this. Everything was done to perfection. This is the third vehicle I’ve had a subwoofer installed in and I’m honestly glad to have found someone to do quality work.If you’re looking for a shop that will do quality work at fair prices this is it.

Nick went over options with my vehicle for head unit replacement and we scheduled a date in the future for install. He did a super clean install at an extremely fair price. These guys did an amazing job with a 10” sub in my factory head unit. The install was quick and I can’t even see a single wire. The staff was awesome and accommodating. My sound system sounds great now and I’ll be sure to refer anyone to here if they need any sound work done!

I brought my 2016 Buick LaCrosse to the Car Audio Shop after a botched stereo install by Sonido Latino. It was a terrible install: my electrical system wasnt performing the way it was before the botched install (they didnt use quality installation equipment) my speakers werent playing as they should, and the sound was overall mediocre. I went to Nick, we sat down and came up with the plan, discussed pricing, and he got my system sounding AWESOME for a good price! Nick is professional and thorough! I have a 2018 Model S, that I wanted to add a subwoofer for much needed bass but no other shop in a 150 mile radius wanted to touch the vehicle. I have classic BMWs that I have restored, one a 1975, and the other a 1988. Nick spent the time to detail the installations perfectly, listened carefully to my requirements, and communicated clearly throughout the process. Most importantly, both cars sound incredible.Price was reasonable, and the guy you talk to is the guy that is actually going to do the work, not some crazy Wizard of Oz style back and forth with some mysterious person stuffed into a garage with no windows that ends up not knowing any of your requirements.This is the least shady car audio installation shop in Austin!

TLDR: Nick and The Car Audio Shop are awesome!I had a full stereo system including amp/sub/component speakers, a car alarm, and some 12V electrical stuff I asked to be installed into a JDM off-road van. Nick listened to my thoughts, made suggestions, and then did a top-notch install on everything, and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Nick was incredibly helpful and professional and sold me everything I needed to complete my project for a very fair price. One of the best experiences I have ever had buying anything. I needed help and Nick really came through.

I contacted the guys at the Car Audio Shop and they were able to get me in within an hour. Their quote was a fraction of what i was quoted up the street. The service was completed pretty much exactly when they told me it was going to be done and when i came to pick up the car not only did they do extra work free of charge, but they sat me down and ran me through all the features of the product i had installed. I highly recommend these dudes!

Super impressed by Nick. I called all around the Austin area for quotes to replace a stereo in my truck. Nick answered all of my questions prior to bringing the truck in and then answered my questions after. He did an excellent job on the install and it looks like it came from the factory that way. Did I mention he was the best priced out of everyone else in the Austin area? There was an issue with one of the parts but Nick had a work around and will order a new part and when it comes in he will put the new part in. I cannot say enough about how good he is and how professional he is. In a day when it is hard to find good businesses and good customer service Nick and his team are TOP NOTCH. Well done replacement of factory setup on an older Lexus. Awesome sound and looks. These guys were shady seemed biased and not willing to give me honest pricing for the install. As someone who has had aftermarket installs in all of my vehicles-(10) I do not recommend this shop. Take your money elsewhere for a quick quality install like I did.

If you have a Tesla and need audio work, this is the shop to go.Brought my 2019 Tesla Model 3 SR+ for installation on an amp, sub box and subwoofer. All parts ordered by Nick. Custom Sounds and Sunbusters either did not want to work on the Tesla or they were overpricing like crazy. Found Nicks shop with amazing reviews, drove to shop and talked to him about what I wanted. We agreed on parts to use, scheduled the appt and dropped it off yesterday. Got it back today and let me tell you, the sounds is 100% better with the amp and subwoofer added, the bass has great punch without distortion and the sub box does not take a lot of space in the trunk. Nick gave plenty of cable to move it in the trunk or do a quick disconnect. I showed up a few days later and he had my car all ready to go later that day. SUPERIOR customer service all around and no questions asked better than the other competition. Nick did an excellent job on my keep. Had them install a android 7 inch touch screen head unit, a rockford fosgate 500 watt(450 rms) amp and two mtx 12 inch terminators. The system works perfectly and was perfectly tuned. I definitely recommend this shop if you need advise and a system setup, you wont be disappointed.

Nick was very good and professional his other employee however was not after the install my glove compartment wouldnt close nick told me to talk to one of his other employess so they can get it fixed for me i dont remember his name bus he literally jus came an banged an pulled off the side of the panel and said just talk to nick about it nick fixed the problem but he definitely needs a new team member

From the moment I inquired online about the installation of an after market carplay radio into my vehicle to me driving my car off of the Car Audio Shop premises, Nick has been nothing but professional, nice, helpful and skilled at what he does. Im very happy with the end result of the service that they have provided me. The wireless Carplay headunit flawlessly connects to my phone the moment I get in the car and everything works just as expected. Ive read somewhere that lagging could be an issue depending on the installation and several other external factors, but I have not seen these issues with car and the product. Nick and his team also did an astounding job at keeping the original aesthetic of my dashboard after the installation. They granted all of my requests and even went above and beyond. The workmanship also has warranty on their labor so if anything goes wrong, theyre willing to look into the issue and perform some troubleshooting. Lastly, they offer a very fair price on their service thats honestly incomparable to other similar businesses in the area. I am so satisfied with their service and I cannot recommend them enough. Nick and his guys are far and beyond the best! Very professional, kind, honest, and efficient. I stopped by the day before a road trip on a whim to fix a stereo that had been broken for months. Within minutes they had me on my way with a radio that worked!

A+ service and support! They did an amazing job installing a BimmerTech setup in my car and helped hardwire my radar.

Have had consistent hiss emanating from the speakers. Nick has tried a few things but root cause is currently unknown. Tried a well used noise filter... introducing alternator noise...taped a few things...leaving left speakers with no output...removed filter, turned down input gain to the point that the volume has to be maxed out... disappointed. :(UPDATE: The new installer immediately saw the issue. Nick refuses to refund anything for the bad install. We spent over $400 for the new installer to remove the one remaining noise filter and correctly install the amplifier. If you want to add an amp to an existing system (AudioControl) then try the guys at Audiomaster. They quickly corrected the issue. They did mention that the wood fabrication was very good though as they fixed the amp install.

Nick was unbelievably kind and accommodating. I searched for the best price, all over Austin, and as far as pricing and ratings go, he has by far the best. I had some other issues on my car that he was more than happy to look at and the car starter he installed has a lifetime warranty with them. It doesnt get much better than this. And he was done with the job two hours before he said he would be!! Go here. Or at least talk to him about it so you can see for yourself. Hes not trying to sell you anything besides good service!!

These guys go above and beyond! Fantastic customer service. Theyre honest, trustworthy, a wealth of information, and they do a great job. Both Jacob and Nick worked on replacing my radio. When the first one I bought turned out to be a defective POS, their objective was to ensure I was happy with my radio and installed a new one for me. They also consulted over the phone with me many, many times and spent a lot of time answering my questions. I never felt rushed and I always felt important. That stuff matters. A lot of people can install car audio. But how The Car Audio Shop treats their customers sets them apart.

Nick and Ben were fantastic and got me out on the road again with a solid Bluetooth-enabled stereo head unit after mine was yanked from my vehicle. It was a situation that was way too much of a pain to DIY, as I would have liked to, as the thief cut several wires that attached the original CD player to the truck. They handled it quickly, with ease, and at a very reasonable price, and for that, Im super thankful. They were working on some seriously impressive speakers when I rolled up, too, so I know who Ill be going to in the future when Im looking for an upgrade!

I was looking for an installer and was having trouble finding someone I felt I could trust. Was going to be in Austin for a few days so I looked over a few websites. The reviews for this site were terrific, so I gave him a call, looking for a possible appointment. He scheduled me early and completed the install, along with additional sound insulation in each door. I had previously purchased four speakers and an amp. I wish I had talked to him before purchasing, probably would have gone another way. Really nice guy, answered all my questions, an obviously professional installation by guys who know what they are doing and care about how it turns out. I will definitely return here for any upgrades.

I dont know how this guy got one 4 star review. Nick is so far superior to the other highly rated installer, there needs to be a sixth star. Pro Car Audio (the most reviewed shop) told me I couldnt replace my 10 Highlander with a reasonably priced radio because the after-market mount mfctr said the mount wouldnt work in my specific Highlander. Pro Car wrote me off. So in desperation I tried Car Audio. Nick said the same thing, but was upset because he didnt know why the mount wouldnt work. On his own he did the research, found a way to modify the mount, and I now have a great new radio for half the price. Another clue to how professionally competent Nick is: Have you ever had an installer invite you to talk to him while he rips the interior of your car apart? That is an extremely confident & competent professional. Hes also a very kind man -- gotta love him!
