Dr. Miller and the entire staff at NW Hills are amazing. I was referred by my glaucoma specialist over a year ago. The staff was polite, thorough and so very accommodating. They helped me with a cosmetic contact for my right eye. Due to my glaucoma and many corneal transplants, the eye is white. It took them making the contact several times to get the eye color and size of the pupil to match, but they were diligent to get it where I was happy. Their patience with me through the ordering and making of several was nothing short of amazing. AND I was never charged until myself, Dr. Miller, and the contact folks were all satisfied. I will be ordering another in the near future. Everyone from the time I walked in the door through the entire process were friendly, patient, professional, and knowledgeable. Thank you!!!

For regular exams they are quick yet thorough, and i had the best experience I have ever had trying to decide on a glasses frame with their guidance! I had an eye exam today at Northwest Hills and was very impressed and happy with the service I received. Staff was friendly and helpful, office was clean, and Dr. Miller was great. She was friendly, thorough, and answered all my questions. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Love Dr. Miller and all the staff here. I’m a difficult patient to fit for contact lens.’ I have had cornea transplants in both eyes and I have terrible astigmatism. She really takes her time and works with you to get the right fit.

Today was my first time going to Northwest Hills eye care and I will definitely be returning. The office was clean and everyone took care to clean everything thoroughly. They even wiped down my insurance card and license after they handed it back! The staff was very kind and quick. I was only waiting a few minutes before being called back. The technician was thorough and knowledgeable. Dr Schutte was friendly, thoughtful, and took the time to explain things to me. The person who helped me pick out glasses was fun to partner with. They gave me honest opinions and suggestions. Anything I tried on went into a box so that other patients couldn’t touch them before they got cleaned. Over all, I’d highly recommend this place. My first visit here was rather chaotic because they had an unexpected power outage. No worries. My second visit was frustrating because I made appts over the phone and we went through all of my insurance benefits, but only to find out day of, after waiting 35 mins, that my insurance was in network for appointments but not glasses. Why would I make an appointment for glasses to use my insurance benefit if this office was not in network? Total waste of my morning that I moved around for my work schedule.

My frames broke while I was away. Gabriella scheduled me quickly after my return. She was very patient as I tried various frames and Im grateful for the time she spent with me.

I called for a regular eye exam quote and they will charge you $37 extra if you do NOT want your eyes dilated, no exceptions. They force you to dilate your eyes if you dont want to pay extra. Its your body, but its certainly not your choice here.UPDATE OF RESPONSE TO OWNER: This location employs uneducated professionals. The front desk is adamant that patients must submit to an eye dilation, no exceptions, unless you wish to pay a fee. Be weary when contacting this establishment as it IS possible to opt out of having your retina examined within the state of Texas by signing a waiver. This establishment is eyeing money, not the wishes of the patient.

This was the best experience of any Drs office Ive ever had. The staff is awesome. Dr. Schutte is awesome. Not only did I have a great time at the eye exam, I got a super interesting science lesson about the eye. Ill always go here

I was 15 minutes late and they hay had already given my appointment to someone else and refused to try to work me on even after I explained that it is an three hour round trip commitment to come back on a later date. This is the first time I have been treated with lack of respect by the office staff. The doctor Is very good.

Joe provided outstanding service during the fitting for my eyeglasses. He took the time to make sure that glasses fitted correctly. That made a huge difference in the comfort in wearing them. In addition, he explained how to use the case for the eyeglasses as I had not seen one like that before. I appreciate the time he took to explain the warranty, how to care for the glasses & how to use the folding eyeglass case.The service at Northwest Hills, as I have come to expect, was exceptional& tailored to what I needed. The best Eye doctor, IMHO! For an entire year I thought my eyes were going bad & when I decided to try another place & saw Dr Miller, I learned that my prescription was so incorrect!?! I would like to name the clinic that gave me incorrect prescription, but suffice it to say, it is located very close to IBM location. And part of a major hospital. My recent visit was on January 20th 2021 Greeted by the front desk with kindness and courtesy And precautions due to covid-19 Which I really appreciated. The screening Personnel was kind she also made sure she cleaned screening instruments She also made the room more comfortable for me because it was quite warm. My visit with Dr. Wood is always filled with answers for my many questions and suggestions For better Devices to help me with my daily living. Had a great visit. Everyone was friendly and facility welcoming. They explained everything before each procedure and results after. Covid 19 precautions were taken. They wiped equipment before and after each use. Frames once tried on were put in a basket to be cleaned before being put back on shelf. Plenty of time was allotted for visit, I did not feel rushed all. Would highly recommend.

Doctor was extremely helpful and was able to diagnose my problem quickly. Staff were very clean. They wiped down each machine in front of me going as far as wiping down pens. Really recommend as a safe place to get an eye exam.

2 stars for the fact that they are taking coronavirus seriously, the rest are gone for how hard it is to get appts scheduled with their vision dept (exam was fine). Front desk hardly ever answers, then they need to wait for vision on a different appt, then they dont answer, it is endless back and forth and a poor experience for someone with a day job who cant sit around waiting for a call. Today I came in and they told me I had the wrong appt time despite the fact they texted me the time in writing.I will never return here because I believe businesses can operate and take precautions against the coronavirus but not entirely make one jump through scheduling hoops over multiple visits to actually get glasses. There is software to solve this in 2020, but they would rather provide excuses.

As a long time patient of Dr, Miller. It was time for a check up. They asked me if I would see another doctor. I agreed. I was so pleased with Dr, Schutte. She was amazing. Made me feel comfortable. And with the new technology I didn’t even have to get dialated. I will always go to them and look forward to my next visit.

Good doctors, shady clinic policies. I am an established patient and found the Doctors to be great in the past, but reception needs better training badly; unless trained poorly on purpose to limit culpability...The medical office refused service because I would not sign their HIPAA agreement, which was NOT a HIPAA agreement but rather a thinly veiled consent form to charge you more if insurance doesnt pay for it; e.g. gotcha billing. I wasnt using insurance but they refused service since I refused to agree to this.As a CASH patient, I was also not able to waive their OPTI-Scan service and its fee which is an additional $49. If I was paying for the exam with insurance, you have the option to NOT include this service since insurance wont cover it. If an insurance company wont pay for it, why should a FULL CASH paying patient be expected to??Additionally, as a Cash patient I would have expected much better service from this office seeing as I am paying the *full exam price* and not the 30% the insurance companies pay.I will be filing formal complaints with the appropriate authorities so the clinics billing and HIPPA policies can be examined and brought into line with the rest of the industry. However, because of these shady policies and incompetence of the front office, I will not be returning as a patient.

Df Laura Miller is up to date on low vision research and practical applications. My vision is now the best it can be. The entire office is helpful and caring. I would not go to any other vision provider
