If you are looking for a pharmacy, this is not the one you want. The pharmacy is only open 6-8 hours/day and sometimes its closed when its supposed to be open because the company is not able to adequately staff the pharmacy. Theres also the possibility that you will wait in a line for 30 minutes and then they will close the window right in front of you because its closing time (at 6p!).If you do not need a prescription filled, feel free to visit. The staff are very kind, helpful and respectful.
Came here for a covid test (scheduled two days in advance). I got there 15 minutes early, and I’m told they are out of testing equipment. Had to wait an hour to get tested. When the lady with the equipment finally arrived, she was carrying a soda and food from a fast food restaurant. Clearly they were in no rush.
The pharmacy at this location is garbage. The store reeked of bad plumbing when I walked in and I tried to endure it but the line didn’t move! I left after waiting almost 20 minutes and there was only one person ahead of me when I got there. Save your time and go to CVS instead!
Stopped by to get some passport pictures and had an awesome quick visit thanks to China, she was very helpful and professional. I had gone to a different Walgreens and they told me they couldn’t do them till 3 hours later, called this Walgreens and they told me to just stop by whenever, there i was greeted by China and had pictures taken, went and did a little bit of shopping and China found me and gave me the passport pictures, all the staff here is super sweet and keeps the store clean.
Staff is unapologetically committed to making sure that this stop will be the worst part of your day.
Online inventories dont match what is in the store, they will cancel your order due to their error.
I absolutely hate to come to this store. The pharmacy team is amazing but the bald Hispanic mgr there is so ghetto/ rude/disrespectful that I am now transferring all my business to CVS and will never spend another dime in Walgreens!!! EVER!
I went in for my 2nd Vaccine Apt to discover the Pharmacy was closed. It would have been nice to know that my apt had been canceled. Getting my 1st vaccine dose here went well though. There were some people asking for money out front.
This my #1 walgreens they treat me like Family Always
I went in yesterday to buy some detergent they had in their add. The deal was buy three for six dollars. I was trying to purchase six and the cashier said they had a limit of four. As we were in our conversation the other cashier told her no the limit was two. I explained to him that the advertisement was 3 for six dollars and he again said that he would only sell me two. That didnt seem fair to me so I just refused to buy it there all together
No public restrooms. Ill take my money elsewhere.
Nice people
Never going to this pharmacy again. They were closed during normal business hours and completely failed to notify anyone! I had to drive up there after being on hold for almost an hour. Once I got there I tried the drive their window and there was still no sign that they were closed. Finally I go inside and the pharmacy was completely closed. Why would you not notify people so they can get their prescriptions send elsewhere. Such a waste of time.
Rude staff that repeatedly harassed me for not wearing a mask. Thought this was Texas.
I have been coming this location for 14 yrs s first and Stassney staff is always nice and helpful.
I set up a flu shot clinic for my company with David B.s help - everything went so smoothly and the pharmacist, Christina, was very quick. Overall great experience that we will be doing again next year!
I have been treated so horrible by the pharmacist!!! She’s very unprofessional! And judgmental!! I’m making sure the better business bureau and there corporate office gets a full review on this discrepancy!! I have used Walgreens my whole life! I can’t believe they allow such ignorance and disrespect preformed at the customers!!!
Went by 2 days ago. Was wanting to purchase some perfumes and was paitenly waiting while 2 employees were talking. After about 6 minutes I asked one of the employees about a perfume and she points me to the end of the aisle. I see its a package.of what I wanted and went to ask her if that was the only one she had,she seemed like I was bothering her so I just calmly walked out the store. I was hoping to purchase a few perfumes if I could of gotten better service. Will likely not go back ttthe.
Great deals and great service! management is awesome!
Pharmacy staff hung up on me twice when I was trying to transfer my prescription, and there seems to be a lot of miscommunication between the pharmacists and technicians. When I did get through, they were very rude and not helpful at all. I also called to check the status of my refill for my dog and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Almost 30 minutes later, I go through the drive through and the tech tells me it’s not ready at all and that it’ll be ready in 45. Don’t usually write reviews but this circling around and miscommunication has been going on from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Go to another Walgreens.
2nd time dealing with pharmacy staff members who do not listen to directions you give them. They are slow, non responsive, and have poor customer service skills. They act like they do not want to be doing their job.Do yourself a favor and switch to another location or pharmacy if possible.
Swung by a bit before close. I noticed it was mainly 2 carhops on top of the orders never looking stressed. Theyre good attitude & hustle car to car was impressive. 🏃♀️🍔🍦👌
I loved this Walgreens, big and airy. Nice selection of things.
Called to see if they had my prescription ready and sat on the phone for 40 minutes. I was able to take 2 buses from oltorf and IH35 and was still on hold when I spoke to the pharmacy cashier in person that is ridiculous. On top of that when I spoke to the cashier she was rude and did not acknowledge anything I said about being on hold.
People helping me at the photo counter yesterday were real silly, nice and helpful, as well as careful and considerate to not damage the quality of my prints, even though I was only getting them just for fun!I love getting prints made here, especially to give as gifts.
I am very grateful for the pharmacist who was working on the night of May 21st 2017. After a terrible experience with St. Davids South ER who refused to believe I had anything wrong with me, I spoke with the pharmacist about my symptoms and he immediately alerted me that I may have gall stones. He even called me after I left the pharmacy to give me more information. I am now gall bladder free and pain free. Thank you so much!
I am disturbed at the way that the pharmacist spoke to me and handled my situation. I was simply trying to get my boyfriends inhaler refilled and Walgreens of course did not have it in stock so I requested a transfer and was back and fourth from pharmacy tech to shift lead and upon finally getting the pharmacist on the line he was rude he did not care there was no sense of urgency he LAUGHED at my frustration of trying to get my boyfriends BREATHING medication transferred. Something is wrong with that man.
Overcharged me for a prescription refill, more than 10xs my normal rate. When I asked the tech why it was so expensive he said there was a 3 month supply, there was only one month supply, and even for 3 months, I was way over charged.Tried calling in the Evening to resolve the issue, and got bounced around from the pharmacist to a technician, only to be forgotten about and left waiting on hold while they apparently went home. Thoughtless staff doesnt care about their patients.
My parents and I have been frequenters of this location for over 20 years. While weve seen people come and go, it is the most convenient place for us to pick up scripts as well as other medical stuff. Of course we dont have a sense of entitlement, and dont expect people to bend over backwards kissing our butts. We also dont frequent the store when theyre stocking the store either. So maybe some tips for those giving this location a bit of bad publicity.Dont go in when theyre doing other stuff late late late at night. If youve ever worked retail, dont be a difficult customer, no one likes a pengis.Lock your doors, and dont leave your vehicle unsecured. (duh)The staff are underpaid, and overworked. The turn over rate at this location is atrocious.Maybe its all the entitled customers that want above and beyond?
Whenever I come to Walgreens its usually just to buy one small thing so I go to the cashier in the cosmetology area and usually the line goes by quickly. However, when I went this one time, there was only 1 person in front of me and it was taking a while. I didnt really mind since I wasnt in a hurry, so I waited like 5 minutes. When I approached the cashier I told her that I wanted to return an item and I had the receipt, the lady didnt know how to give me a refund and she looked at the receipt and just told me that I couldnt return the item since I bought the item at a different Walgreens. She said if I wanted a refund, I had to go to the Walgreens I had originally purchased it. I didnt believe that so I went to the cashier at the front in this same store and asked for a refund. Without hesitating, the cashier gave me a refund right away and was friendly about it. The lady at the cosmetology cashier shouldnt give false information and just be upfront about something when they dont know how to do it, she could of asked an associate for help or redirected me to the front cashier.
Pulled into drive thru lanes...8 cars waiting (4 and 4)... Was told by the abrupt pharmacist that I was in the wrong lane because the 8 1/2 x 11 sign posted to the column wasnt visible with all the cars waiting...told i could drive around the building and get back in line in the correct row...so i park..go into the store... 1 manager working and the pharmacist in the back... waited in line there for 10 minutes... got in my car and left .... ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS...
Basically the whole store was closed off for waxing last time I went here. Be careful about the 24 hours part.
No pets allowed unless its a service animal. Okay, I get that. (I didnt see the sign on the door going in.) But when you approach somebody in the store with a pet you can at least be nice about it. And when its a little Chihuahua that is sitting nicely in a basket and not causing any problems theres also no reason to be rude about it. Im a fan of Walgreens, their cashier was nice. I made some comical comments about the situation while checking out as did another customer behind me in line. However the entire management team came searching the entire store for the dog that was in the store. All because he was huffing and puffing when he heard someones key chain. When I was approached the manager that approached he wasnt very nice about it.PS: Id rather take my dog into the store when Im stopping on my way somewhere than leave him in the hot car to die.
Extremely kind, attentive, helpful and quick people. Best in Austin, especially because they are also the only Walgreens pharmacy that opens 24 hours.
If you come into this store expecting a pleasant experience, do not interact with JUAN! He should not be in customer service. This is my first and last visit to this store.
We are taking care of our family member with cancer. We went to get his prescriptions yesterday and experienced a very RUDE pharmacist, Justin. We have used this pharmacy for a while now and there was no need for the way we were treated. So beware and just go somewhere else. Which is what he told us. Im not going to fill your rx, you can go somewhere else. Our physician was on the phone and heard the whole thing. Makes sense why reviews are what they are for this pharmacy.
Bought a lipstick. Never made it in the bag. Called when I got home and was told I couldnt prove it. Nice customer serviceThink Ill cash out my points and go to CVS.
I’m in awe of the pharmacist, Meredith, who was single handedly fielding an onslaught of customers at 10:30PM on a Saturday. I’m talking an in-store line, the drive through AND the phones. It took a while to get my meds cause she had to call my insurance, but I am so grateful that I’ll be able to take my medication now and get some relief. The other staff working there were friendly and professional as well. Glad to have this 24-hour lifesaver in the neighborhood.
Why would you EVER want a healthcare professional to HURRY? Would you prefer expediency over accuracy? Would you tell your dentist to expedite a root canal? Those arent M&Ms theyre dispensing back there.
I’ve been coming to this Walgreens off and on for years and no matter how many new pharmacy techs I deal with they always have a rude nasty attitude and are in no way helpful. If you don’t like to deal with people FIND A NEW JOB!!!!!
Im Diabetic & they always have my insulin ready when I or my Doctor calls it in. Very Nice Employees & the Manager too. Theyre open 24 hours a day. 🤓🧓🏅
The worst in town!! Tonight 7/19/19 I went to get my moms prescription was 3 cars deep in line at the drive through pharmacy. I get to the window and the lady pretends to not see me and shuts off tbe lights inside. I pressthe call button and say excuse me, She says sorry we are closed. I tell her Ive been here for 15 min and have seen every person in front of me a described them. She says Well whats the name! I tell her, and she says well that was just called in and its not ready Come back tomorrow I tell her its pills! Put them in a bottle.... She tells me to have the prescriber call it in somewhere else! It was 10:01 by the time I got to the window! And may I mention they have given my daughter the wrong medicine before. I caught it when we got home and it didnt look like her other ones. I had to tell them of the mistake. Took it back and they literally offered me Walgreens points as an apology for almost poisoning my child!
I have never written a poor review of a business before, so the fact that I felt impelled to write a poor review really shows the amount of frustration I have had with this pharmacy. I am a prescriber and have never had so much difficulty calling in a medication before.1) First of all each time I called this pharmacy I was put on hold for an hour. It took me a total of 3 hours in one week of sitting and waiting on the phone for this prescription request to go through. One time I called and was placed on hold for an hour until I could talk to the pharmacist. Once I was in contact with the pharmacist, I was told they did not know the answer to my question and were to busy to look into the answer at the moment and would have to call me back. They did finally call me back to tell me they could not answer my question. The pharmacist could not tell me label recommendations for concentration of reconstitution (I have never had an injectable antibiotic that did not recommend how to reconstitute). Perhaps this is true, because I never ended up seeing the drug insert she was reading, but I find this hard to believe.2) The medication I wanted to prescribe was not in stock and I wanted to know the price on the medication. They told me that they thought it was $500 dollar per vial, but they would have to order the medication. Once the medication came in I was told it was 179.00 a vial, and then they came back and told me no 17.90 a vial. These are very different answers.3) I wanted to know how big the vial was on the injectable antibiotic and was told 1 ml. My drug formulary says it comes in 20 ml and 30 ml. A little confused, I double check with the pharmacist and she tells me 10 ml I have my client pick up the medication to bring to the clinic to reconstitute and it is a 20 ml vial. (This is important for reconstituting a drug to know the concentration for dosing).5) I was prescribing this medication for a cat. The pharmacist was very concerned that I was using a product not labeled for cats and that I wanted to use it differently than the label. This is what was really frustrating. There are veterinary drug formularies PLUMBs that pharmacist can refer to if they have questions on prescribing for animals. I explained to the pharmacist that often times veterinarians must prescribe medications that are off label because often times there are not drugs available on label for all medical situations in animals. She then went ahead and told my client when she picked up the medication that she was very concerned about my use of this antibiotic in the pet and had my client concerned.5) After the cat was doing well on the antibiotic for a week. I needed to call in a refill to finish out the dosage. The pharmacist wanted to argue with my receptionist over my directions again. The pharmacist would not allow her to refill the medication so I had to step out of the exam room to confirm that yes I wanted to still use this antibiotic in the same manner.6) I could still go on... But I think you get the point
I will NEVER use this Pharmacy Again😡 They Treated My Sons & daughter n law like they were Scum. And mind you it was the Pharmacy Manager(Justin & Eri) That Acted So Unprofessional Then When They Denied My Sons Their Full Names & Said Just Leave Cause We Are Not Helping Yall Any Further, Thats When My Son Got Angry & then said they were calling the Cops So Being that i was on the phone the whole time listening to The Pharmacist Get Ugly I had no choice but to go down there myself.I spoke to The floor manager & even though he was trying to be apologetic on behalf of his rude ass employees he was pretty much saying that his employees did No wrong & therefore asked me what other pharmacy would i like for him to transfer my scripts.Let me tell you had the other Manager Juan been there we would of Never felt discriminated. So please think twice before dealing with that pharmacy again..Smh..Man i sure do hate the South Austin Pharmacy Closed😳
I try to be the best security officer by helping others.
The pharmacy never answers over the phone. The pharmacy people are rude and clueless. The drive through takes at least 45 minutes! The checkout inside takes forever. Theyre majorly understaffed. DO NOT go here after dark the homeless hangout by the front door of the store. I told the management and they didnt seem to care. I was getting a redbox movie and was getting hassled the entire time.
I called when the pharmacy it opened asking about my prescription. they said they ran out of stock of it so I asked if they can see if other Walgreens has it. she explained that all walgreens are out of my prescription however there are different types of generic similar to the one I have and that it shouldn’t be a problem if I come in and that she will talk to the physician on site. I asked if I need to call my doctor she said no. After workI went to the pharmacy around 530 and I explained the conversation to another pharamacist. She told me otherwise and asked the male pharmacist if it’s possible.. he smirked and said no. basically made me feel like an idiot for asking. They told me I need to call my doctor and I explained I asked that over the phone this morning and their office is closed now. I’m switching Pharmacy’s. They’re slow and do not provide good customer service.
The staff at this location are rude. One particular woman is always rude as can be and I’m constantly in awe of the fact that she has kept her job week after week. Today, I’m waiting in line at the register behind a gentleman who still writes checks. When this staff gets called up to help cashier, she purposely helps the person behind me in line although I am next. She is terrible and so is the whole store.
Open 24/7, Walgreens has a little bit of everything for keeping a house going.
DONT GO HERE!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE! EXTREMELY INEFFICIENT! If you think the location is convenient, it doesnt matter because you spend all your time waiting to get service at the pharmacy. Dont waste your time and just go to another location! CONSISTENTLY BAD SERVICE. I have had dozens of bad times here, thinking maybe it was a one time thing, I decided to keep trying. Ive lived in the area for years and every time I go, its a mess!
Ordered 30 pictures and the photo technician was not helpful. She stated only one of them printed out and was rude. She was so illiterate and ghetto.
I have a fond respect for the other Walgreens in Austin, but this one is the pits. My prescriptions constantly get delayed, even when I call them back to check the status daily. The pharmacy manager, Justin, is young and angsty, so please expect him to be confrontational. Id recommend either HEB pharmacy, or any other local Austin Walgreens. Save yourself the hassle!
Pharmacy sucks! They hardly ever have meds ready. Today, 12/20, stopped to get my moms meds, and they said itd be ready in 15 min. That was AN HOUR AGO!!! There has to be a better system.....smh....
Im sorry to say but in all my visits to this pharmacy its always stressful, I literitly waited 45 min in line with 2 cars in front of me, it took 13 min for them just to get my perscriptions, Im a regular there, do to my parents needing their meds., But i have to say make sure you have a full tank of gas, because you will be waiting. An its every time i go, sometimes twice a week. Never had that problem at CVS....
I recommend this establishment if you enjoy waiting in line.
Probably one of the scummier Walgreens in town due to the clientele, not necessarily the Walgreens. Be careful if you are in a hurry, often it is the end of the world in the Walgreens and the line will be all the way to the photo center and somebody will be trying to pay for menthols with gum wrappers and bottle caps and they will not call another cashier up or do anything to hurry along the person trying to pay for cigarettes with non-legal tender to step aside. Oh, and DO NOT use this place for prescriptions--they take forever and are not very polite. Better to go to CVS or Target for prescriptions.
Been on the phone on hold for 2 hours. Its quicker to go in, but I have a sick child.
Dont be bleeding when you show up here if you nlknow what I mean. Do slow have a new name
Pharmacy is rude and slow!!!! They say 1 hour and a hour and half later you still waiting. Do not go there!! Unless you want rude service and play the wait game
Horrible
Absolute worst customer service! Its very clear they dont care about you or the pain and inconvenience they cause you. Go anywhere else!
Amazing customer service. Very friendly.
Fastest pharmacy location I have witnessed by far
Awesome
Always a line of people 7 or more people. 5 or 6 workers restock and standing around doing nothing but looking at the people in the line. I live one block from the Walgreens. Need to close down this store.
Very slow service. Try cvs at Stassney and Congress for quicker service!
Not a bad store in a high crime rate area. Fairly safe when lights are operational.
The staff is incompetent when there are actually employees at the store. I have been here on more than one occasion when only one person is working in the entire store, and they are not concerned about checking out any customers waiting in line.
I went to Walgreens with my sister and bought two lotions and some candy
Two words: incompetent pharmacy. Go somewhere else.
I stop by Walgreens occasionally during the year but I most frequently visit during the Halloween season. This location had a prop that I couldnt find at a couple of the other locations so that was good. Unfortunately the area isnt the greatest so the parking lot is kind of sketchy at times. PRO TIP Day after Halloween sales FTW
Called to make sure they had instant prints. Guy told me to come on over because they had two machines. Drive there, both machines have been down for maintenance. He then asked me if I was hungry, because hed give me some food. What? Awful, unprofessional service.
Awful service. Worst pharmacy / Walgreens
Go anywhere but here. No stars, the site made me choose one.
My only Pharmacy for nine years and in that period only three negative experiences.
Pharmacy staff is on spot, and always helps try to fix anything that is wrong with insurance.
Pharmacy is very Rude. Not helpful
Friendly staff. Rear deals
Pharmacy is great!
Rude employees
The assistant manager Ray is racist I will never go to this store as long as they keep him around Im going to see why they let him be a manger
Rude employees. No bathrooms. Blocked entrance.
Often has long lines
Great service
Its a drugstore.
Great staff
Typical Walgreens.
