Negative review with 4 stars because it’s a personal complaint - but it is still a privilege for me to shop here when I can, and the staff is incredible.I have been coming here for 6 years, but the new hours are 11-7 (every day) and that makes it near impossible for many to shop here..particularly marginalized folks or youth who have less of a chance at “normal” schedule - i.e., the people who probably need thrift deals the most!In 2019 they were open until 9. Post-pandemic, it was 8.I am not sure if this is a corporate decision, local, or something related to temporary staffing, but it sucks feeling rushed in a thrift store - if you can even make it on time after your 9-5 job and a bus route.Guess I’ll have to “schedule” my thrift-hopping hobby that I used to enjoy a couple times per week, and save it for my day off. Lame.

My family & I stopped in today, for the Memorial Day holiday 50% off sale. NOT everything was half off, but still not too bad. I purchased a purse (half off $8.99), 3 coffee mugs, from $1.99 - $2.99, and a glass turtle, grand total of $15.64. My cashier was cool. I saw bags at checkout, but she didnt bag any of my items NOR did she ask if I wanted a bag. I guess I had to ask??? I dont know, so I just put my 3 mugs and turtle in my new purse and we left. I agree, their prices are about the same as some retail stores, them being a THRIFT STORE, sooo... All in all, a good shopping day. 5.27.19

I try to shop here as often as possible popping in a few times a week if my schedule allows. I love this store and rarely walk out empty handed. They have a point system for members which gives an awesome 20% discount off their already low low prices. Savers has saved me lots of time & money! Great neighborhood store.

There is a beautiful chaos that is Savers. From the mix of homemade pottery and fine china in the miscellaneous section, to the collective assortment of elementary baseball team jerseys that lies in the t-shirt section. There is so much culture, history, and character in every single thing in this Savers. Oh and I almost forgot, the premium handpicked crudités of; samsung phones, fresh-out the box basketball shoes, a watch that uncle pedro gave you and you said This watch means nothing to me, ill give it to savers. And finally, the sterling silver necklace Aunt claire got in Thailand and gifted to you on your birthday last year. Thanks aunt claire, you said as you stuffed it back into the box, the same box that it would stay in until you gave it to Savers.

I was in town visiting a friend, and we came here to thrift shop. She swears by this place. Theres a huge selection of items, and everything is in order by size. I also appreciated how the shoes were in order by size. The main issue was the day we went (on a Saturday), everything was 50% off, so the place was PACKED. Thats fine - I get it. But there were limited dressing rooms, and people were going in with the 6 item-limit then coming back out to their basket to try on a ton more clothes. The line was super, crazy long to try stuff on. That was annoying.. but what was even more annoying was the employee policing the dressing rooms. I appreciated her getting people moving, BUT she was so rude. She was making comments like, Ive been out here for 10 minutes, and people STILL arent out of the dressing room. Mind you, theres children alone in there trying to get dressed. Then she was like, And WHOS baskets are just sitting out here like this? Were gonna find out.. Like, dang, lady. She was super confrontational. Another woman in line actually got into with her about how rude she was being. Her behavior/attitude was super unnecessary, so I was glad someone said something. But other than that, I got out with two really cute dresses, some pants from American Eagle and Abercrombie & Fitch, and a couple of tops. I was happy with my finds. Id just recommend going on a slower day during the week. Definitely do not try and go on the weekend.

This used to be my FAVORITE thrift store, I had given up on Goodwill a while back because of their prices (who wants to pay department store prices for USED items?) at Savers you could find everything at CHEAP prices I used to buy all my kids nice clothing from there because I could find a shirt for as low as .99 cents and at the most $2.99, sadly those days are no more. Their pricing has gone up drastically as in 10.99 for a pair of crusty sandals, $29.99 for a pair of rain boots with a name brand on them that wasnt in the glass display case in the front, they forget that its still a used item store and their store is called SAVERS, not spenders, and this isnt some high end consignment shop. TBH their store is dirty, their shopping carts are unkempt, their restroom smells horrible and almost always has something questionable on the seats but everyone still went for those amazing prices and deals. Its sad when a company that is good the way it is lets money change them. Keep in mind everyone THEY ARE SELLING STUFF THAT PEOPLE GAVE THEM, THEY ARE SELLING FREE STUFF.

Kids grow fast and new name brand clothes is not always an option. The other day they had all of their shirts .99 cents. Cant beat that. I purchased well over 30 shirts for my son to start daycare. half of them still had tags or barely looked worn. His outfit below was $3.00. 👍👍

I shop at the Burnett store often. I live and work very close by (close enough to shop on my lunch break!). As I speak, I noticed everything I am wearing (my shirt, my 501s and even my Italian driving loafers -still in the original box) came from Savers and Im pretty sure I spent under $18 for all of it! Beat that deal. I bought a great oil on canvas painting a few years ago there and last month donated it to a auction for charity. It brought in $237 and I only spent $6 for it. The selection of clothes and household item are pretty good here. Oh....wait, never-mind, you shouldnt shop here! You wouldnt like it (more for me!).

I would stay clear of this location and all the other stores in this parking lot. They use a shady service called Central Parking Enforcement. If you step off the property even for 1 minute you will get a boot on your car and have to pay $100 to get it off. The signs are not clearly marked and only small angled sign that is not clear unless you are specifically looking for it when you turn into the lot. What a miserable person who would just stalk people waiting to charge them money. Save yourself some money and stay clear!

While the store itself was pleasant, organized and neat the young cashier at the checkout was incredibly unpleasant and wouldnt so much as hint at being hospitable or kind in any fashion. Not a smile, not a have a nice day or thank you. Customer service is key to any establishment being successful. Being kind in general, smiling and showing compassion are key to living a fruitful healthy and happy life. So my advice to this young woman would be, if you are unhappy, make changes in your life to better yourself. Smile at others so that they sense your compassion and may in return, smile back and change your life in the most minute way.Coming from out of town as someone who has never been to Texas showed me these colours in Austin. Would have hoped for a more pleasant interaction with mentioned CSR.

One of my favorite thrift stores in US. Pro tip: sign up for membership before you do anything, and subscribe to their mailing list to be informed of 50% sale days (the only days I visit Savers). Average prices before the 50% off arent that great.Great selection of womens stuff. I particularly like their range of shoes. Best finds include a pair of black Nine West platform slides for $5, and a pair of brand new Tommy Hilfiger monochrome heels for $3. Clothing wise, be prepared to sieve through lots of not-so-trendy before finding a gem. There are long lines at the fitting rooms at times too, with people not adhering to the max 6 pieces rule (ugh lol).

Always get in trouble when I stop by to drop off donations. I TRY & tell myself Im not going here to shop, but that NEVER works out, as planned. I also TRY & limit myself to 1 or 2 departments, but once my feet hit the inside of the store, ITS ON! I find this location has much better selections than the one in NW Austin, but that is just my opinion. Thankfully we all like different things & have different taste. Being they bring out new inventory every day, its like a treasure hunt each time Im there. One word of advice. If you see something you like/are interested in, you best bite the bullet and get it while you can. I can promise you it will NOT be there later. I passed an item up while in the store, couldnt stop thinking about it all the way home. I called the store as soon as I got home, & asked if there was any way I could pay for it over the phone & pick it up the following day. If not, would they possibly hold the item for me. The sales associate went to look for the item, (chair), & it was already gone. I had my doubts so I waited til right before close & called back. Asked for a manager, (yes, I realize theres no guarantee thats who they put on the phone, but I asked for 1 anyways). She too went to look for the chair, but again, it was nowhere to be found. I made this same mistake with a handbag. Live & learn.......never again. ☺

My mom also shops here for scrubs, since apparently scrubs are crazy expensive when you buy them new (who knew?!)Sure, you may feel a little dirty afterward, rifling through used clothing that may or may not have been washed before being hung on the rack, but that kind of comes with the territory when youre thrift store shopping.
