Such a cute ice cream shop, loved the different variety of ice cream that they have. We tried their milkshakes and it was pretty good for the most part. I had their gummy bear milkshake with sprinkles, which looked really cute but to me it lacked a little bit of flavor. I think you should go for their regular shakes or ice cream. I loved how they had alcohol pads both in the restroom and close to the register, very efficient. Overall, great experience!

Updated review: Third time was a true charm - a very sweet employee, I was so happy to see how thorough she cleaned her hands after each client and used clean gloves. The ice cream selection was great, I finally found my “Italian summer” - Oliver oil and figs, toasted strawberry and lavender syrup - it was a perfection! I love the compostable spoons and a peaceful atmosphere.Review based on two visits. First of all, even trying 2-3 samples, I still didn’t make a purchase for myself - I didn’t find any flavor tasty enough. However, my companion decided to get a couple of scoops and enjoyed the choice. Three stars for the service: both times different personnel wasn’t friendly at all, they didn’t greet us nor make out visits pleasant, they did their job but without any nice emotion or enthusiasm.I personally didn’t find this place nice or their food items edible but looked like other customers had a good time.

Cute interior decor, and a great vegan ice cream alternative. Not as creamy as dairy based ice cream, but nonetheless still very tasty due to strong, natural flavors. Would definitely recommend to vegans and non vegans alike.

What a delicious treat. Amazing all vegan dessert spot. Tons of options to choose from, maybe too many flavors? I’m used to having a choice between one or two flavors, not ten. They all sounded amazing, but we ended up getting the Death Metal by Chocolate and Matcha Cookie. I opted for the additional cone, which unfortunately you can’t get the ice cream in, only placed on top.If straight ice cream isn’t your jam, they also have ice cream sandwiches and milk shakes.

Tastes like some of the flavors have changed but Sweet Ritual is still as amazing as ever. The insides always been clean and well kept, the staff is always friendly and helpful. I ate my treats way too quickly to even snap a pic to post here but my go to flavors are always Rocky Road and Death Metal by Chocolate.

Rocky road was a lot chocolate-yer and creamier than the death metal by chocolate! Also loved the sunflower butter chocolate chip!!! Great customer service, they helped me pick out a flavor ☺️

Best vegan milkshake I have had. Period. I had a banana, peanut butter milkshake and the server just jazzed it up more than I ever would have thought of. She topped it with a swirl of vanilla ice cream, cut bananas, and drizzled caramel. Super dope. So good I forgot to take a photo.

Sweet Ritual is one of my favorite ice cream shops hands down. I come here at least twice a month - its that good! All their ingredients here are vegan, but dont let that scare you because it actually makes the ice cream taste better as some use a coconut milk base, others use an almond butter base, etc. What blows me away is the vegan soft serve. Its BETTER than normal soft serve because you can taste a hint of coconut in addition to the vanilla. Ive also gotten their Banana Split which is a really good deal since you pick 3 flavors and 3 toppings! There are so many good flavors here and my favorites are: Rocky Road, Coconut, and the soft serve. Aside from the food - the service is very kind and the ambiance is nice & cute. I love this place and am proud to support this business. Always satisfied!

Firstly a very aesthetic shop to sit and chill and the staff were sweet and very informed, second the ice cream? You’d think vegan would have that kinda off flavor but daaaaaang these flavors really pulled through. I got the death metal chocolate and the Havana and now I’m mad I live in Houston because it was SO damn good. Highly recommend :)

Some of our favorite vegan ice cream in all of Austin! They have tons of rotating unique flavors, as well as delicious soft serve! Their milkshakes are especially good and super creative! The staff is always super kind and friendly. I especially appreciate that theyre still doing curbside pickup. Highly recommend!!

Killer vegan soft serve! I always stop at Sweet Ritual when I’m passing through Austin. Can’t beat the classic vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles.The staff is always friendly. Be sure to check out the cool sticker vending machine with stickers from local artists! There’s nice seating inside and a bench outside if you want to enjoy the weather. You’ll often find people hanging out by their cars and enjoying the food. A very chill communal atmosphere.

EXCELLENT vegan ice cream! Really dig the unusual flavors. I had a wonderful Matcha flavored treat that was divine. Customers have the option to have one, two, or three scoops in a bowl or a waffle cone (including a red velvet option!); they can also just take a pint home to enjoy later. My two omnivore friends were quite happy with their choices and we are all ready to head back for another round as soon as possible.

I love Sweet Ritual! Frequent customer and the staff are welcoming and helpful! Its nice that they have classic flavors year round but the seasonal pints are creative and a great way to try new things. Don’t sleep on their milkshakes or cookie ice cream sandwiches either! I take almost everyone who visits to this spot for dessert!

I used to love and support this place until they fired my favorite person at Sweet Ritual, Stephanie. Super unfortunate to let go your best employee who always went above and beyond to make my visits the best possible. Stephanie really cared about every person who walked into the door and its really sad that sweet ritual doesnt care about their own employees. Very hypocritical to say you support your workers when you really dont. I wont be going back.

This little ice cream shop is actually really good! Everything is vegan, so they use alternatives like coconut, cashew, and other butters. An amazing assortment of flavors and styles to choose from. Like avocado and lime? Boom! How about lavender syrup? Got it. The match a is really good too. No worries, they have traditional flavors as well. The store is unassuming in a mixed strip center right off the interstate and its about to go through some renovations to make it larger.Update: the renovations really make a difference!

I have been a loyal fan of Sweet Ritual since their days inside the juice land on 45th. Pre-pandemic, I would visit the scoop shop 1-2 times a week for my ice cream fix.They have recently completely overhauled their menu and recipes, and its left me heart broken. This is not the Sweet Ritual I fell in love with years ago. Their original bases were nut based (usually cashew, sunbutter, or coconut). Their new recipe is made with pea protein, and a long list of inedible fillers and preservatives (some flavors even have palm oil, not cool). The ice cream I got last night was chalky and flavorless. Seems like theyve cheapened their product to cut costs. I used to bring non vegan friends here, but now I would be embarrassed - its no longer good enough to sway dairy eaters over to the other side.

Were vegan. Well my wife is so that makes me vegan on account that she cooks most our meals and I like being married to her. When we do go out to eat, I have been pleasantly surprised by how many places offer great vegan menu items or are vegan only. We have known about Sweet Ritual from some business dealings in the past but never had a real reason to go back and visit for pleasure. Us being omnivores in the past. Well, we were in the area and were hankering for a sweet something and remembered Sweet Ritual was close by so we headed down Airport and pulled into the parking lot on a Friday night. Thinking it would be packed, and with Covid numbers back on the rise, we arent too keen on people nowadays. To our surprise, there were only a few people sitting outside and a cute couple ordering inside. Vaxxed up and masked up, we headed in. If this is your first time visiting youll notice that the place is really really cute, but we came with a purpose. At first it felt overwhelming, in a good way, because they have lots of options. Several flavors, scoops, cones, milkshake things, toppings. All the stuffs. I immediately zeroed in on Rocky Road 1929 (dont quote me on that year). My wife couldnt decide but I figured that was no reason for me to wait. I got a small scoop in a waffle cone. Oh, thank you Sweet Chocolate and Marshmallow Nutty Messiah. If this is the reward for being vegan Im a convert for life. I cant describe to you in appropriate words how good this is. If you have ever enjoyed Rocky Road ice cream in the past that wasnt this, then you were eating frozen trash dessert. There is no comparing this fudgy gooey magic in its most perfect waffle cone. I really dont know what my wife got, something in a cup with a straw. I had been blasted to a whole other dessert dimension. Ive had Gati, Jennis, Lick, and Ben & Jerrys (all non-dairy), and they are all good. Some even damn good. But this right here! This Sweet Ritual Rocky Road, 1920-something or another, is freakin amazing. Im all juicy mouth writing this.Sorry, I had zero chance to take a photo. Upon first bite I lost all awareness of time and space and slipped into chocolate coma bliss.

Very friendly staff! The place is very relaxing and cute. I had no idea it was a vegan place even though it says on the door and inside haha, but I loved the ice cream and the caramelized bananas. It tasted like heaven!!

Other reviews led me to this great spot. A definite cure for anyone with a sweet tooth. I was greeted and walked right up to the counter. Apparently everyone had the same idea because there were at least 15 people behind me by the time I finished ordering. I ordered a scoop of peanut butter cup and a scoop of salted caramel in a red velvet waffle cone. OMG!! It was amazing! My husband ordered the features sundae, PB and J crunch (2 scoops of blueberry swirl ice cream under a peanut butter magic shell topped.with Capn Crunch cereal. He enjoyed his so much that he completely stopped talking. The bad news is that this sweet spot is minutes from my job. I may be in trouble!

Delicious Midnight Snack Shake! You wont even know its dairy-free

I got the brownie Ice cream sundae with Rocky Road. The ice cream and Brownie were very tasty, however I ordered the brownie not warmed up and it was warmed, so by the time I got home the warmed brownie melted what ice cream was in there. The ice cream inside was not 3 scoops, it was maybe one and a half. And the peanut butter shell that came with it was maybe a peanut butter drizzle at best. All yummy, but not the $13.00 sundae that I paid for🤷🏻‍♀️

This cucumber sorbet was bomb! I wanted to just get scoops of everything though. We came with about 8 people and we all enjoyed what we had.

Great shakes! They are more like a soft serve shake than a thick rich ice creamy shake, though. So keep that in mind. Its actually a good thing, because you can actually drink the whole thing without going into a coma.

This was my second visit to Sweet Ritual. The staff are always incredibly efficient and friendly. Its clean, colorful, and has plenty of parking! Everything is vegan and they have gluten free options as well. They have some staple flavors as well as a rotating menu. Make time to stop here, its well worth your while!

Wow this place has gotten better since remodeling with more seating available and added some wall painting looks nicer that way too. They have fun and creative made in house vegan ice cream flavors too.

Went there last night to get some dairy free rocky road for my lactose intolerant wife. The girl behind the door was very rude. I know policies change all the time with this pandemic but it’s been a different Process each time I’ve went there. They lost my business for sure with their rude behavior last night.

I was looking for vegan ice cream for my birthday and found Sweet ritual! It was amazing (I Say was, because it’s all gone!) I ordered the death metal cookie sandwich, AND LET ME TELL YA, it was perfect! First of all the cookie was not soggy! It was fresh and crisp! So biting into that cookie with the ice cream at the sometime, just made my tastebuds smile! Next time I’m in Austin, I will be back!! Thank you Sweet Ritual!

Was good but nothing special. Icream was icey not creamy. Flavors were ok. The brownie was extremely dry definitely not worth the 4$ completely crumbled apart. On top of that the girl with the puffy hair was not hospitable at all. Not even a welcome in, first thing out of her mouth was sir can you pull your mask all the way up to cover your entire nose. Thanks but Ill take my business over to Amys next time!

I loved Sweet Ritual! Especially for gluten free eaters! I was so excited to not only find gluten-free ice creams and incredible new and creative flavors, but also gluten free waffle cones! SCORE! So good. I think the creativity of the flavors is amazing, but some of the ones I sampled the flavor seemed almost barely existent. The Roots and the Mexican Vanilla could benefit from stronger flavor. The Sunbutter Chocolate chip was SO YUMMY! Would absolutely recommend. Even the roots, although a soft flavor, it was very fresh. I spent about $9.50 for a cone and 2 scoops. So a little pricey. The Sweet Ritualist was kind and patient, very welcoming! Great service! Would recommend.

Icecream was pastey not creamy at all. Sad to say probably the worst vegan icecream I’ve had. My kids wouldn’t eat it and my hubby threw his out. There is no taste testing because of covid but if there was we wouldn’t have purchased anything. The gentleman who helped us started to get irritated because we were asking too many questions mind you we were the only customers.

I wish I had never come in contact with this place. The manager Brandy called me about a $70 order of non specialty in stock ice cream that I never picked up. I hung up. I had just been in a car accident. I called a few days later and inquired about a refund and Brandy asked why I hung up on her. I never received a refund. The charges were brought into question as it was a company card and I was accused of fraud and terminated.

Updated: Went back to sweet ritual and customer service was exceptional and the coffee shake was delightful :-) I’ll return!

Such great flavors and great tasting ice cream, but the underrated thang here are the SAUCES. Their strawberry and caramel sauces taste so fresh, they’re the real star.

Sweet Ritual makes a great attempt to provide alternatives for traditional dairy desserts. As good as their attempts are, it does not fool my tastebuds. Rich creamy flavor provided by dairy is difficult to replace in frozen dairy-inspired dessert I guess.

When I heard how much food was in the Austin area, I was pumped! And for me, I love ice cream but Vegan ice cream is much better for my body. There were many to choose from but Sweet Ritual had the best reviews. Went here with my girlfriends and LOVED IT! Delicious flavors, awesome texture, gluten free baked good add ins and cute store. Be sure to visit.

This shop nailed vegan soft serve ice cream! Unfortunately, their scoops are icy. I’ll definitely go back, but only for soft serve. I do wish they offered smaller sizes too.

FINALLY, NON DAIRY ICE CREAM THAT DOESNT TASTE LIKE CHALK. IT MUST BE A MIRACLE. The ice cream at Sweet Ritual has this natural, creamy, consistency that Im sure would fool most folks in a blind taste test. When I decided to go vegan a year ago, ice cream was one of the hardest things to let go of, but now I have a place where I know I can enjoy that sweet treat anytime thanks to Sweet Ritual. Theres tons of interesting flavors and all the ones I tried were delicious! I would highly recommend!

They only have vanilla in soft serve version but they were making the milkshakes out of their hand scoop ice cream, so I decided to give that a chance. I got Vest in Show with a scoop of Death Metal..It tasted atrocious. No flavor and extremely runny. I ended up tossing it a 1/3rd of the way through. If theyre out of the vanilla soft serve, do not succumb yourself to their hand scoop ice cream. An expensive, overpriced lesson.Review from 8 mnths ago: Great vegan milkshakes! I only got chocolate and oreo, and it was nice and smooth. A little expensive than your typical milkshake. I will say. I almost feel like, for the price, you could pick up a chocolate pint from nadamoo at HEB, blend it and call it day. But I do like the extra touches they add.I really recommend buying the scooped ice cream if you do go

Wonderful vegan ice cream. Ice creams are defined by their base, such as a coconut base or an almond base. My favorite are the sun butter base ice creams, which I wish they had in higher rotation.

The take out/curbside service is really not great. I live in Dallas and I wanted to introduce my family to sweet ritual, so we took a road trip to Austin, and planned on eating ice cream while watching the bats fly. The new service takes a good amount of time that we just didn’t have. My bf ordered his and my ice cream online, but tried canceling it due to the amount of time it was taking. They didn’t cancel his order, but they put a rush on it. Non of the other family members were able to order. I’ve been to other ice cream shops that are following safety guidelines due to COVID-19, and they seem to be able to continue serving fast and efficiently. I don’t know what Sweet Ritual is doing wrong, but it’s a shame because their ice cream is really good and the service prior to COVID-19 was good too. One thing I’d recommend is to maybe post their menu on their window, on the outside or inside, just to where anyone can view it. Then, I’d even suggest temporarily decreasing what they offer on a daily basis. Switch it up per week or something if they want variety, but that way, you can get orders in and out faster by offering less ( maybe only offer scoops of ice cream and milk shakes in stead of the full menu) and that might save time and allow them to make bigger batches of whatever they’re offering that day.I’d also suggest they find a way for patrons to be able to drive up, give their order, just as they would if standing in line, and check out. Ice cream should not take 15-20 minutes or more to get. Scoop it in the to go cup, and hand it off.

I love this place and so does my non vegan friend! I am obsessed with the lavender here, which I’ve never enjoyed much at other places. Excellent customer service. One thing that has stuck with me since my last visit to this location is the girl before me was very upset when a straw was put into her milkshake. It looked like she tried to shame the worker over it. Maybe leaving the lids/straws out so people can decide whether or not to take one would avoid future situations like that, I would bet a good percentage of the customers chose veganism for environmental reasons. Being someone who is lactose sensitive and at the same time an ice cream lover, it’s hard to find good non dairy options. Non dairy pints of ice cream at grocery stores like HEB are hit and miss, and usually ice cream shops have non dairy ice cream as a side thought.Sweet Ritual’s menu is all non dairy and as soon as I tried their death by chocolate ice cream, I knew this was the place I was looking for. Their almond ice cream is so creamy! The decor is super cute too. Can’t wait to visit again.
