We had bought 2 mattresses (King and Queen) from Urban Mattress recently and the beds are truly amazing! All the 5 stars in the reviews were all true. Tamara was our associate and did a great job with helping us choose the right mattress for my hubby and myself and my daughter. We are loving them. She took the time and patience and went through every mattress with us including trying each one to differentiate the feeling between each of them to find the right one for all of us. As a Purple refugee, I greatly appreciated the opportunity to walk in and spend upwards of an hour trying out and learning about mattress options offered at Urban Mattress from the friendly and helpful staff. Shane was very knowledgeable and more than happy to answer all of my numerous questions.I found the white-glove delivery to be as positive an experience as making the in-store purchase. The handlers were friendly, and even carried my old mattress down a flight of stairs to the garage for me. The delivery took less than 15 minutes.I found their selection of mattresses to be wide enough to find the mattress that I felt the most comfortable on. Note that they do not offer returns, and instead will apply a credit worth the value of the mattress (less $100 for pickup) should you wish you exchange your mattress for another. It wont be a problem finding a good quality mattress here, but make sure that you find one you love.On the whole, my experience with Urban Mattress was a very positive one, and Id recommend at least stopping by for anyone in the market for a new mattress.

We wanted a new mattress but we didn’t want to shop for a new mattress but we decided that was probably an inevitable step toward the having of the mattress. So we went to Urban Mattress and we lay on their mattresses and we chose one and we purchased it. And then the mattress we chose was delivered to our home. Every portion of this process was entirely agreeable, and we recommend that you also purchase a mattress from Urban Mattress (if indeed you want a mattress; we don’t want to influence you into buying something you didn’t intend to buy simply through the power of this review).

We dreaded going into the experience but a burst pipe required a new mattress & boxspring.Sigh.Shane was knowledgeable, listened to what we needed & our budget requirements, then directed us to a variety of mattresses to consider. Bed is wonderful. At first I did not like it. but I followed the advice of the sales people and gave it 30 days for my body to adjust. They where spot on.I love it, and I sleep fantastic now. We also bought the electric adjustable base. It great, and I am not sure how I lived with out one. Great people, from the sales staff to the delivery crew.

I really enjoy going to Urban Mattress. It’s truly an Austin staple. I have purchased several mattresses from them over the last 5 years and have never been disappointed with the product or service. They always make the experience easy and even educational. I am a firm believer that reducing our exposure to VOCs and other chemicals is really important, and especially on the surface where we spend about a 1/3rd of our life. it’s actually surprising that it isn’t a standard requirement for mattresses to be free of harmful chemicals. Urban mattress offers a lot of reasonably priced options, so it’s a no brainer to get something non toxic.

I cant express my gratitude in words regarding my experience at Urban Mattress- Central Austin. I was in the market for a mattress, but not just any mattress.. I needed something that was not made with harmful chemicals and something that was high quality. I visited the store once to check out the selections and I knew they were the highest quality right off the bat. A few months later (post-COVID) I returned and spoke with Shane. He was very helpful picking out the best mattress since I am a larger guy with broad shoulders. Sleeping on my side is painful sometimes, so the Taos mattress was a perfect fit. He was very knowledgeable and did not push anything at all. Highly recommend checking this location out if you want the best quality mattress (and pillows) for the best price.

I originally gave 5 stars about 1 1/2 years ago for my Acadia firm mattress choice. The 5 stars was really about my shopping experience and initial satisfaction with the product. Just over a year later, my wife & I are looking for another bed. This one has caved in the middle and weve been fighting to stay on our own sides of the bed for months now.I didnt want to admit it, nor did she. Mattresses are unbelievably expensive and now we need another just over a year later. We had a great initial experience here but this mattress is terrible, I would not recommend it to anyone. Now were back spending hours online trying to figure out which one well try next..

He let me even try a mattress topper before purchasing which was really nice. I wanted to support a local business when I decided to purchase a mattress and based off reviews thought Urban Mattress was great! After a few different times in the store, I ended up purchasing the Ravenswood plush mattress. Delivery process was easy and they took my old mattress which I appreciated.Upon getting my mattress, it was SO firm. I was a little nervous about this since I was looking for a more plush mattress. I waited about two weeks and it was still SO uncomfortable, no where near “plush”. I called and spoke with a man at the store and expressed to him how unhappy I was. He told me he understood and asked me “out of curiosity, which mattress did you buy?” I told him the Ravenswood and he said “I’m not surprised, that tends to be our most returned mattress.”I hung up feeling so angry! Why did I not know that at first? No one told me the mattress would be more firm than the one in the store. On the phone he had asked me to double check the tag, maybe the firm one was delivered instead. I did and sure enough, it was the plush mattress but I’m still not convinced this is the same mattress that I tried in the store.So I go in the store with my boyfriend who sleeps on it every night too and have him lay on the one I thought I purchased, he agreed it was much different than what we had received. The guy told us we could exchange it and would have to pay $100, plus the difference of whatever mattress we exchanged with.I’ve emailed them twice with 0 response. So unprofessional!! They offered little help in resolving my issues.

I had been looking for a good nights sleep for quite some time. I finally found it at Urban mattress. Shane and his team are the best. They know everything you need to know about a good nights sleep. I needed a new mattress, but was not keen on places like Mattress Firm, etc. I stopped by Urban Mattress while shopping at Central Market, and was impressed by the guidance of the staff. I narrowed it down to one mattress, and came back a total of 4 times to laid down on it to make sure it was the right one. The morning after the first time I slept on it I did not have the shoulder and leg pain that Id had on waking for at least a year! I am sold! The mattress is both soft and firm, cloudy and supportive. A great mattress for good sleep!

Shopping for a mattress has been a very unpleasant experience. Bouncing from store to store, and dealing with sales people has been hell. Every store we went to all they would do is push a product, and bash the product that their competitor pushes. We have came into Urban Mattress and immediately the experience was entirely different. Shane was extremely pleasant, and very helpful. He went over a lot of detail, and showed us all the beds, and was very patient. Once we established our price range, he showed us all the options, and patiently explained all the differences. He gave us a great price and the free delivery definitely was great. I bought many latex mattresses over the years from a local manufacturer but discovered he passed away and his company was not around any more so I began shopping around. After visiting several showrooms and being unimpressed with the salespeople I discovered Isaac Snow at Urban Mattress. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful - a joy to work with. We went to Urban Mattress when our old mattress began to structurally fail (sore back and hips in the morning). We went in hoping to get a double sided, natural material, spring bed that would last much longer than our previous bed did. When I saw the Vi-Spring mattress line I knew it was the only option for us. Its what the Queen sleeps on! And they last a lifetime!Then I saw the price. A queen size in the model we wanted was going to be the most expensive purchase of our lives (dont own a home yet). So we saved up for 2 years and got the Tiara superb. Its fantastic. Completely worth the price.Shane, Isaac, and Lauren were all very helpful in the store and over the phone making sure we got the right model. We paid in full and they threw in a mattress pad and protector to boot.I cannot recommend the Vi Spring bed or Urban Mattress highly enough.Thanks!

Good selection, safe products, all sorts of price ranges.We purchased an organic natural mattress.Firstly I love how Urban Mattress really encourages customers to try all the beds. At first we got a bed that felt great in the store, but when we got it home and actually slept on it we realized it was to firm for us. We gave it a try, but then decided that a softer mattress was what we were looking for. We went back to the store and tried out the softer options, and picked out our replacement after over an hour of laying around. We never felt rushed, or as if we were being pushed into making a sale. We had no problems with the exchange or billing at all. Paul and Shane do not try to sell you on any one model, they truly try to find a mattress that will fit you best with ample encouragement to give it a nice long try. If you think buying an organic, natural mattress is out of your price range, I would say go to Urban Mattress, their prices are very competitive and you get a safer less toxic product.Overall great products, good prices, great return/exchange policy.

I bought the mattress ambiance two months ago. Isaac is being very helpful from selecting the right matters and answering all the questions after I bought it. The quality of the mattress is so worth the money. They also gave 2% to the nonprofit organizations. It was a wonderful shopping experience, free beer, free coffee, and very patient sales! I purchased three mattresses on the same day. The store is not terribly close to my house, but I read their ad in the newspaper and was impressed. I like to spend my money with businesses that not only sell environmentally friendly products but that also donate some of their profits to local non-profits. Urban Mattress is both of these and more. What a pleasant experience. Paul was very informative and helpful to my son and me. We both have back problems and we each wanted to find a mattress that would allow us to get a full nights sleep. Paul let us take all the time we wanted to test out the mattresses. Well--long story short---we now have our mattresses. I am amazed how I now sleep pain free and sleep through the night. Its such a wonderful feeling that I really dont want to get out of bed in the morning. I wake feeling rested and peaceful. Urban Mattress was accommodating in delivering all three mattresses on different days to two different addresses. Shane even came to my home himself to deliver a remote for the bed that I bought for my daughter. We would recommend this store to anyone looking for a great mattress, a good experience, and a socially responsible business.

Amazing experience. I was moving into a new apartment and needed a mattress same day, which sounds fine but keep in mind I came in 30 minutes before closing...on a Sunday. Isaac was amazing, though - he gave me my options within my price range and worked hard to find a guy to deliver it to my apartment (for free!). 45 minutes later I was in my new room laying on literally the most comfortable bed Ive ever owned. Last nights sleep was divine, Im so happy I came here!

Can I say one of the best experiences we have ever had with a retail store? Its a comfortable buying opportunity - no pressure to buy the expensive mattress and, fortunately, they have all price levels. I bought an expensive one, absolutely love it (want to sleep all day) and a less expensive one for our son (which he loves and wants to sleep all day as well :). I wish all my retail experiences were like this one. Customer service is their motto and it shows. Good job, guys.

This was my first time buying a mattress. I had a great experience shopping here, trying out the different models. The sales is not pushy, its very informative and relaxed. I finally settled on a new bed, and I enjoy sleeping on it every day. Overall, Urban Mattress has excellent choice and great customer service. Recommended!

Best mattress buying experience. No high pressure sales, great selection and incredibly happy with our mattress. And Isaac even went above and beyond and had the mattress delivered extremely fast. And the delivery service communicated very clearly, and arrived at the exact time they said they would. I would highly recommend urban mattress for your next mattress!

Shopping for a mattress was incredibly easy and fun with Isaacs help. He was attentive but not pushy, gave honest advice, and respected our budget. He even helped us save extra money in the end, so we spent almost $200 less than planned. That such an affordable, down-to-earth mattress purchase is possible with a local business is just too cool. And choosing a charity to receive part of the proceeds was icing on the cake!

Shane was so helpful - he didnt try to sell me something I didnt need, and got me a great mattress at a great price. I was looking for a queen size mattress for a while, and I loved this store. They have a great selection, and Isaac the sales person is informative and helpful, but gives you space to take your time with testing out the beds, explains to you the differences and allows you time to make the decision and is not pushy, which for me is a big deal. This was our second mattress we have bought from him. Highly recommended!

Love this local company who has great products at really good prices, and wonderful service. The mattress we purchased was not in stock, and they upgraded us to the next level mattress at no extra charge. Free shipping too. No high pressure sales people, and they give back to local charities. I highly recommend Urban Mattress!

Love the store, staff (Isaac) and mattress topper. A great price for an all-natural topper that wasnt in stock, but the store is shipping to me at no cost. Plus, they donate 2% of the sale to charity - I picked Boys and Girls clubs of America. Definitely the highest recommendation for this store!

Honestly could not have had asked for a better experience then the one I got here. Let me save you the time of doing hours and hours of research online before coming here like I did. You will not get better customer service then what you get here I promise. Not to mention the mattress I got is the most comfortable thing Ive ever laid on. I got my mattress within a week and they even took my old one away free of charge.

Excellent service in the store. Purchase was easy and smooth. We had a few hiccups with delivery process but the owner addressed them personally and we were taken care of well. I like that the business is locally owned and a portion of the purchase proceeds goes to a local cause.

Bought a mattress here on a Friday for Sunday delivery around the busiest time when students were all buying mattresses. Lauren was very helpful with laying out each mattress type for me to try and was respectful of my price range. Super comfortable environment at the store. There was a mess up with stock and the mattress that I wanted was not available and Lauren upgraded me to a mattress of better quality to ensure I received it on Sunday. So, received a mattress of better quality and with a longer warranty because of the mix up. And, Im very satisfied with it so far! Also was given the option to buy a metal type of box spring instead of the normal one which suited my needs better was less expensive. We ended up paying 399 for a full and metal box spring alternative (cant remember the name of this).

I went to 4 different mattress stores and Urban Mattress was far and away the best. Best value, best selection, least pressure, most knowledgeable. There was a mixup when they delivered my mattress and when I called the next morning, they had it corrected within 4 hours. No muss, no fuss. Could not have had a better experience and I sleep like a dream.

If you are looking for a new mattress, this is the place to go to. The manager Isaac is really good at what he does and will get you set up with the right mattress in no time. If you dont know what you are looking for, he does a good job of giving you a couple options, then lets you determine what you like for yourself and doesnt disturb you while doing so. Hell walk you through the extra options that can be bought for mattresses as well, but he doesnt push you to buy them if you dont want them. With a great selection of mattresses, and outstanding customer service, Urban Mattress should be the one and only place you go to get a new mattress.

Isaac was a great help and explained how to test each mattress I was interested in. We went through a pair of different models with different firmness settings and not once did I feel steered towards a more expensive option or hurried into making a snap decision. Buying a new mattress is a once in a blue moon decision and Urban Mattress treats it as such. Free beer in the shop is a pretty amazing perk too.
