Weve bought all the rugs in our home from Bijan and they have all been excellent products that have held up under daily use for over 10 years. Our first rug was purchased back in 1999 and with only a trip to Bijan for cleaning every few years, it looks as good as it did when we bought it over 17 years ago. Bijan is like the Ollivanders wand store in the Harry Potter stories. There are hundreds and hundreds of patterns to choose from. But you dont have to look at them all yourself. In fact, I recommend that you NOT do that. All you have to do is show the proprietor a photo or a swatch of fabric, or bring in a pillow from your couch, and he can instantly pull the perfect rug for you. But its almost like the rug chooses you instead of the other way around. Every rug he has pulled from the stack for me has been a perfect match and Ive loved them for years. The rugs are all one-of-a-kind patterns and your guests will wonder where in the world you found it. With Bijan you can create an heirloom style that can be passed on or passed down. The patterns are hand bound with extremely high quality wool fibers, not machine made and glued together like the rugs at the typical furniture store. They are very friendly to wood floors. A rug pad is only required to keep 33 runners in place. All of my 6X9 rugs lay securely in place with no slipping and my floors look like new. I have a large, hand-woven oriental rug that my mother gifted to me several years ago. During a move, I decided to get the rug professionally cleaned on short notice. After calling around town for quotes, Bijan not only had one of the most reasonable prices, but was also very responsive and flexible, picking up the rug within 24 hours (thus removing a moving headache for me). They even offered to let me pick up the cleaned rug in my car to save money on the pick-up/delivery fees, which they didnt have to do. I am absolutely impressed at not only the professionalism and level of service provided by Mr. Bijan, but he and his team did an AMAZING job refreshing my rug so that I could be proud of it again. The rug is so clean that I almost didnt recognize it! Its softer now and it doesnt smell like cleaning chemicals. I could not sing his praises from the rooftops any louder.
