After going to several furniture stores and wading through all the ugly, yucky things to maybe find one thing I didnt hate, I stumbled into John-Williams Interiors. I was new to Austin, and had never been in. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in the right place! The gorgeous show room was full of one unique, lovely, item after another...just absolutely beautiful things!!! Just beautiful! Terry Davey was my designer. She is on the cutting edge of design. She is kind, decisive, she listened to me and quickly tuned into my personal style. She worked within my budget and was a blast to work with. She is smart as a whip! We used John-William Interiors about 2 years ago to purchase a Bracci Living Sectional that we fell in love with at the store for our new condo at the Spring Condominium in downtown Austin. The delivery of our sectional took about a month or so, which we were totally fine with as we understood that furniture takes time for shipping and delivery especially with higher end products.When it came time for delivery, the delivery guys were very quick to tell us that a portion of the sectional wouldnt make it through the hallway and they even pulled out their measuring tape to try and prove it. As we arent movers, we took their word for it and only half of the sectional was delivered. We ended up having to hire a Specialty Delivery company which we paid over $400 to have them lift it with a pully system over a wall from the pool deck/parking garage on the level below to avoid using the hallways. We finally had our full sectional and were ecstatic at how amazing it was. Comfortable, fine Italian leather, fit the space perfectly, what more could we ask for.Here is where the problem was; Fast forward to last week. We were now moving out of the building as we sold our condo. We hired a great local moving company who had 2 guys, Id say they were in their early 20s. They took the sectional, right through the hallways, the same ones that John-William Interiors said they couldnt deliver it through, and right into the elevator and right through the lobby hallway and right into their truck. No problem whatsoever. I mean, it literally took them less than 5 minutes to get it out of our unit, through the hallways, into the elevator, through the lobby hallway and right into the truck.We were not only lied to by John-William Interiors, we were out $400 for no reason at all. They never made the attempt to fully deliver the sectional, I asked them to try and they said it wouldnt fit so they werent going to try and they even made me go to the warehouse to pick it up since they said they couldnt leave it with me. We paid well over $7,000 for this sectional with delivery and they didnt credit us a thing. They lied to us and made us pay another company knowing exactly what we were paying the Specialty company to do by hauling it over a wall from a level below our patio.What a disgusting, unethical company to do something like this. Maybe they ordered a sectional larger than we wanted? Maybe they ordered the wrong sectional and were too worried to be honest with us? Who knows? But to have your IN-HOUSE DELIVERY TEAM tell us it wouldnt fit and then knowingly let us hire a specialty mover to deliver it over a wall and have us WASTE $400 for no reason, is inexcusable.Stay as far away from these unethical people. How horrible of a business owner do you have to be to allow for this to go on. Looking back at it, it was pretty obvious that they knew it would fit since when I went back to return their moving blankets, (because we are good people even though they said it was unnecessary to bring them back) the sales person we dealt with said something along the lines of You really had to get that in there. and I commented to my wife right afterwards that he almost sounded upset when he said it.I will be posting this review everywhere I can and I promise to tell this story to everyone that I know. Again, stay very very far away from this place. They lie and cost us money for whatever reasons they had instead of doing the right thing and making the delivery. I guess they thought that we would be there long enough and move it out the same way we brought it in. 2 young men used almost no effort to get it out after you wouldnt even allow your crew to try even with us pleading for you to do so. Disgusting!P.S. - We have the movers who moved it out if anyone from John-William Interiors doesnt believe the story and they will confirm that it went out with no issues whatsoever. If you want to do the right thing, reimburse us. Otherwise, you will be known as unethical forever.

After scouring the internet for the appropriate etagere for our family room we came across the Home Office Etagere at John Williams Interiors. That they were in Austin, TX and we are in Charleston, SC seemed to be a potential issue, but the piece looked so special we decided to try.Once Austin thawed from the deep freeze my call was routed to Christi, who handles their on-line orders. This was the first piece of good news: unlike many of their competitors they support on-line buying. Our discussion cleared up a couple of questions on the etagere, and Christi introduced the shipping topic. Second piece of good news: they wrap and ship furniture, including the large pieces! Again, a material benefit in dealing with them, and a service many competitors don’t provide.We purchased the piece on line, which was simple on their site, and Christi promised a quick call back with shipping options. Third piece of good news: Christi was very prompt, and her call had the full set of details for the crating and delivery of the piece. It will take a bit of time to make it across the country, and we are excited to see it in its place when it gets here.All in all, I can’t see any way Christi and the John Williams team could have done anything better. It was an exceptional experience, and I would definitely recommend them for high-end furniture and service.

We purchased a sectional sofa from John-Williams Interiors and we are very pleased with the results. Our designer Dennis is very knowledgeable and helped us choose the sofa. The delivery people were on time and did a great job placing it.

I went into John-William Interior very overwhelmed over having an entire house to furnish and decorate. I met Terry and immediately knew that she was the perfect person to help make my house a home. I love that she is talented and knowledgeable but my favorite thing about her is that she is patient and committed to finding the perfect pieces. John-William Interior sells high quality and interesting pieces and Terry is someone that can help pull everything together.

We had the pleasure of working with Dennis M. during the designing of our new home. Dennis was perfect for us! His expertise was much appreciated as we were starting over and were going in a new direction. He was extremely professional at all times as well as a good listener. He presented ideas and designs that allowed my husband to be involves as well which made it easy for me. Dennis even came out to the house to get his inspiration and also during the delivery of the pieces we chose. He never pressured us and the best advise he gave me was to take our time and not to rush to furnish the entire room/ home because thats when you can make mistakes. He told me it is a process and he was right! I made the mistake of purchasing furniture in our last home that I did not likened had to live with it for over 5 years! Good lesson for me! In addition, Dennis was always conscience of our budget and never went beyond that. He continues to keep us informed if and when new pieces arrive that he thinks we would be interested in. In conclusion, we highly recommend Dennis as he will do a fabulous design that you will not regret. He is a first class designer and has truly remarkable talent! In May of last year we contracted to have a new home built for us just west of Houston to be near our grandchildren. Living in Austin for the past 32 years and owning 3 different homes we had quite an assortment of furniture and accessories. The need to update and declutter was obvious to us but how and where to begin was not so obvious. Fortunately, since we were building, we had some time. We began by going to 3 of Austin’s top furniture stores and under the guise of shopping were actually interviewing “designers.”Dennis Meyers, designer at John-William Interiors, spent time talking to us about our thoughts on style, layout, colors, etc., and what pieces we were considering moving to our new home. He asked and made copies of the new home layout and pictures of pieces we planned to move with us. Even though we were months away from moving he said not to worry. They would store and bring everything down in their trucks and he would be there to assure proper placement.Though a few pieces were purchased from floor inventory the vast majority were ordered from various manufacturers. We met with Dennis routinely throughput the process. He constantly made sure we were comfortable and had options. When we didn’t feel right about a piece or color(s) he never tried to convince us. He said, “I’ll keep looking.” He encouraged us to look other places for pieces and if it fit he encouraged us to get it. In most cases he could get the item and since they would store we purchased through John-William.When it came time to bring in the new pieces, art and accessories it went just as Dennis had promised. Dennis came in an hour or so before their truck arrived. When the driver, Hector, and his assistant arrived, every item was carefully unloaded, placed and cleaned of any dust or fingerprints. Dennis not only placed purchased accessories and art but also did the same with pieces brought from the previous move. The entire process was efficient and professional. Best of all, we have been very pleased with all of our pieces and because of Dennis our new home is fabulous.Working with Dennis and the staff of John-William Interiors has been and continues to be a very satisfying experience. Whether one is looking for just that special piece or a roomful I sincerely recommend Dennis and John-William Interiors.

This is the second time I have worked with a designer at John Williams to create a custom sofa for our living room.From the moment we walked into John Williams, the designer approached us, asked us a few questions and guided us to just a couple of couches helping us pick just the right couch for our home and budget.The designer was fun to work with and he listened to our needs and pulled out several fabric options.Our couch looks great. We chose a basic color for the couch and a beautiful modern pattern for the pillows and ottoman.At delivery, there was one problem where our sectional had the wrong connection brackets, but a furniture specialist arrived within the next week and corrected the issue.Thank you for helping our living room look beautiful!

I trusted a designer with 3 rooms in my house....after spending thousand and thousands of dollars. No room is even done, not only that...but the furniture was special ordered and the colors that they sold me were not at all like the samples.....and it looks awful! I am absolutely disappointed....I would stay away on ordering any special order items....and if you need a designer to help you...I would find an actual design firm.

I have bought several pieces from John Williams over the years. I recently had a problem with a sofa. They replaced the cushions necessary and had someone come out and install the new cushions in a very timely manner. I will definitely make my next furniture purchase from John Williams.

Working with Dennis at JW interiors was a pleasure! He patiently help me choose fabrics (it took quite a few trips home with swatches), style and size of sofa that was better than I even thought it could be. We really cannot adequately express how impressed we are with John-Willliam Interiors, their sales floor, and the companys fine staff. After graciously holding our beautiful American Leather sleeper sofa in their storage at no charge to us after we purchased it in the fall of 2017, on April 2, 2019 they delivered it to the nearly-completed garage apartment that we were building on our daughters property in Central Austin. This was not an easy delivery - the sleeper sofa was large and HEAVY, and the enclosed stairway to our second floor residence in the garage apartment is narrow and steep. But, the delivery men were efficient and careful, and we certainly appreciated their professionalism.When we were finally able to begin partial occupation of our new home in June, John-William warehouse staffers Hector and Brian arrived to assemble the sleeper sofa, and to install the support legs for the piece. They were personable and helpful, but, during the assembly, it was apparent that we had not received the Tempur-Pedic mattress that we had specified to be included with our sleeper sofa. It was another brand, and we had paid a premium to have the Tempur-Pedic option. After a phone call to Diana Johnston, the John-William salesperson who had originally sold us the sleeper sofa, she worked quickly with the manufacturer to rectify the oversight. When the correct mattress was received by the John-William warehouse, it was delivered and installed by Paul, another pleasant and capable JWI employee. All was well....Our special thanks also should go to Angela Ross-Roche, our John-William office contact, who graciously and patiently held our sleeper sofa purchase until we actually had a home to deliver it to!My wife, JJ, and I are happy and completely satisfied John-William Interiors customers for life, and we look forward to more transactions with the company and its staff people.
