I sat in traffic to specifically go to Aventura Mall to try to get a few pairs of suit pants. I haven’t had good luck on Amazon and other online retailers so I decided to give JCP a shot as I was leaving the mall anyway, so I could easily make a stop to try them on in person.The stock available in sizes was somewhat underwhelming but that point aside, I managed to find 5 different pairs to try on, each pair around $100 each. I couldn’t find a fitting room after walking around but managed to find a cashier who said all dressing rooms were closed. I’m not sure how you have a department store, primarily consisting of clothing, without a fitting room. I don’t have the time to come back to the mall and sit in traffic for 2 hours, so simply purchasing with the expectation that some items will need to be returned back in the store is not an option. The sales associates seemed not to care about making a fitting available and essentially miss out on a purchase of a few hundred dollars.I’m unsure if this is a JC Penny company procedure to close fitting rooms but if so, I would assume this is probably a leading reason of why they’re financially struggling post-pandemic. South Florida businesses are operating at full capacity without a mask mandate so lack of dressing room available due to Covid simply isn’t an excuse anymore.I’ve decided to try services like MTailor instead in hopes of finding something that works since these department stores can’t seem to run a business with customers in mind.I wouldn’t waste your time coming to aventura. The mall might have once been good, but they no longer care about sales.

This JC Penney was very different than what Im use too seeing in Penneys and they had the Polo shirts on sale for the low low..I was impressed...they have really upped their game at this one...it was very nice.

They had a lot of good sales there. The staff was very helpful. The cashier did not take the security locks off of TWO of my clothing items. I now have to find time to drive 30minutes out of the way to have the security locks taken off.

I’m so disappointed in JCPenny, i had some items in the cart and after I cashed out and use the coupons, they cancel my order saying that it was an error with my card so I when trying to buy it again by using the coupons, it wouldn’t take my coupons. That’s very disappointed and unprofessional of them, don’t blame my card when you realize that the coupons was incorrect.

They were so short on employees. There were literally no employees working that morning. It was a ghost town. I would have given it 1 star but the few employees who were working were nice.

My experience was great with customer service. The actual department store could use more inventory. There wasnt a lot sizes of clothes available. I also didnt appreciate that if you dont have a receipt you dont get the price paid for your purchase. Thats a bit of an inconvenience for the customer. There shouldnt be a different price if you dont have a receipt available. But thats corporates problem.

Im not one to frequent JCPenney but when my stepsons needed dress clothes for a wedding, it was a mission to find anything for them reasonably-priced and that fit. One is 13 and growing like a weed and the other is 21 and bounces sizes like crazy- he used to play football and sometimes hes in shape and other times he bulks up. Its a challenge. Nonetheless, my husband waited until the last minute and it was near impossible to find something. I found JCPenney online was having a sale and remembered they always used to have dress clothes. I drove the 30 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale to Aventura because no other store in Broward had the 13 year olds size. Hes tall but very thin. The boys section was small but alas they did have DRESS clothes! I was able to get him a shirt and pants but unfortunately they did not have any belts. Im walked through other sections and some of the womens clothes looked nice but others dated. Aside from the sale I had a 30% coupon I found online so I was excited about that. I love dressing up. I know that millennials and generation whatever they are on now typically dont but can we please keep a dedicated section with boys stuff (all sizes) with shirts, pants, jackets, AND belts! Some things just cannot be purchased online... p.s. the 21 year old got his suit at JC Penney too!

I had one of my best experiences in a retail store today. The associates were very pleasant and helpful; the merchandise was very organized and the store was clean.

Jcpenney, is a nice store, has great selections, very modern, very chick, and price are amazing; however, the bathrooms were filthy, filthy. First, i dont understand what type of women can leave a bathroom in such state, but neither I understand, how the management of the store do not do anything. That is why the 2 stars.

Jenna was great she was very thorough but in the end I felt like the hair around the perimeter of my face was still white witch in past from other salons that was not the case and also I felt like my roots were still too dark but she was wonderful very personable very engaging and a super nice hair stylist

Nobody to help the poor young lady working a line by her self for 30 minutes. She was super helpful and caring, and patient with each guest, but the store seemed understaffed this day. Other than that, clean establishment.

The carpeted section where the merchandise is located is dirty and smells old. The store in general felt old and run down.

Great shoe sale

I was returning an item and the girl who helped was very nice and did it very quickly. Decided to shop and found a beautiful blouse. The cashier was also very sweet! Walking around and sale assistants said good morning and all seems very happy. The store is always very clean and neat. Great experience as usual.

Parking wasnt too bad, I purchased bras meet the best customer service helper Ms. Georgia and Nicole. Georgia measure me and gave me a custom fit. Shes great and Nicole helped me with purchase and additional orders. I was in and out in 1hour.I was very happy, I must say it pays to pray. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas.

I came here prior to my sisters wedding to purchase a specific color dress shirt as part of her wedding party and had plenty of options at wildly good prices. This was 2 weeks before Thanksgiving of 2019. Carla was an amazing help from the service to the assistance in the fitting room with my size and helping me make a decision on the best options available. She was also making sure the whole area she was working in was tody and everyone was taken care of. Shout out to Carla for that. Then at the register, Sue helped me check out and even told me not to worry about folding any clothes as I was in a bit of a hurry purchasing more things for the wedding that day (last minute). She also handled my transaction professionally and patiently, very calm and soft spoken. She even answered some questions I had. Shout out to Sue at the cash register for her excellent work ethic as well. Both Carla and Sue deserve some recognition. I highly recommend coming here.

Bad customer service but good prices

Absolute worst customer service. Management is ignorant to what helping the customer means. Almost nobody working in the store and anyone walking around cant help you. This is why Jcpenny will eventually all close. Just wanted to purchase a single item and waited over 20 minutes without even acknowledgement and then they laughed at the humor of it. Left without item and with the desire to never return.

Great place to shop for just about anything. We have been shopping at JCPenney 50 years. Remember to bring coupons. Great prices. Most items are on sale at all times. Customer service is good. Very clean store. Lots and lots of parking. Located at the Aventura Mall area. Safe place to go. Bring the kids.

The ladies restroom was not clean and the cleaning lady on duty was standing in the corner on her cell phone talking, although the restroom had a horrible smell. When a customer informed her of the dirty stalls, she continued talking on her cellphone as if the customer had interrupted her conversation. One bad employee can cause a store experience to go south!

When you do not enjoying going out shopping, it is very nice when you encounter helpful employees. Georgia P., in the misses department, was proactive in approaching me to see if I needed any assistance; rather than me having to search around to find someone. In addition to being helpful with making my selections, she was professional, friendly and a delight. Excellent customer service!Five stars for Georgia P.; three stars for JCPenney (store needs to be renovated and AC to be cool). Thus, the four stars. Thank goodness for good employees!

Great prices and a good selection. I got$70 work of clothes for$30. JCP had some great clearance items and sales. I went with my niece who is a great shopper and was able to find some really nice clothes. The store is an American staple and I am glad it is still around. So much of retail has changed but I like the choices JCP head to offer. It is neat and tidy and a friendly and helpful staff. This along with great prices is a winning combination.

I really like shopping at this place. Theres something for everybody. And I like the Big and Tall corner. Theres not too many places in the mall big people can shop at.

I always find something I like or make something work and it never cost much. I just pick up what I want and never need to look at the price, try doing that in other department stores. Thats so not happening.

Customer service wasnt the best..was lost trying to find restroom.. cleaning lady told us how to find it with rude tone like we were a bother..when I got in bathroom she started pushing in doors.. sweeping floor loudly..but left bathroom messy...was very rude

Got a raincoat and a top on sale..this is my kind of store..too bad the one in midtown Manhattan closed.

We found a blouse, tried it on and was ready to purchase it. However we went to cash register there was a long line. Only two (2) cash register were open on the first floor. A long line of people waited they should have had more staff to get all these customers out for the long weekend crowd.

Jcpenney has some great clothes and products, however, the arrangement of the store can be confusing. The different sections within the store just doesnt flow as well together compared to other department stores.
