Not too busy except Sundays in my experience. Would not shop here on weekends, its busier and they are out of more items on weekends. Guessing they get trucks during the week mostly for restock. Pretty clean store, found a very old flavor of Mt. Dew here that I like and thought had been discontinued (Livewire). Unfortunately this is a store that has pretty much converted to full self-checkout only although they do have a cashier working the cigarette lane on busy days.
I love Avon Walmart it’s one of the best ones to go to excellent friendly customer representatives they will assist you with anything you need
Really nice store. One of the best so far. But not one cashier in there.. No cashiers on registers. Only self check out. Not a fan for real.
This was the cleanest Walmart Ive ever been to. The employees working were all super personable and very pleasant. Bathroom was immaculate.
Good not to bad! Wish things was more organized
I give it a five stars cuz when I went they had no problems no issues clean store I dont ever go to the one in the steelyard cuz their employees act like they dont like their job or they have attitudes so I just stick with the one in Strongsville or the one on brookpark
This is a Very Clean and nice Walmart as far as Walmarts go, you know. We easily found everything we needed for my father in law, and everyone who works there was professional, kind and helpful. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the staff.
I thought after the remodel they would have more registers open.....wrong!!! No more scanners for a price check in the store either. 😶. 1 register open and half hour in line truly sucks. How about cash back for bagging my own stuff if theyre not going to pay a cashier??
Two Angels attended to me inside and out. A nice gentleman team member helped me find an item. Out in the parking lot another nice gentleman helped by pouring oil into my car. Both were African American.
If you want to shop at a place who doesnt treat their employees like humans this is the perfect place. If youre thinking of finding a job where youre nothing but a body to over work and under pay this place is right for you. Theyre currently under staffed because of the way they treat people, but refuse to believe thats the reason. Shop anywhere else please.
Only had two checkouts open. Plenty of self checkouts which I refuse to use. If they want you to check yourself out, then they should give you a discount for doing their job.
Waited too long for someone to unlock case in health and beauty for a razor. Store and staff were not that busy.
Its Walmart. You will see things you want to see, things you shouldnt see and some shake your head in disbelief things. You can usually find a reasonable deal depending on what your looking for.
They have no actual cashiers. They expect you to pay them and work for them for free!Corporate greed at its finest!
Really liked clothing selections and clothing prices. Like convenience of getting everything I needed. Groceries are hit or miss as far as being stocked. Prices are not great for grocery items. Big thumbs down for having only self check out and taking no cash☹
I will not go back here. This place is like the steel yard. For Avon! I thought Id find help and a nice human. Nope. The employees here gather in groups. Good luck.
This use to be my favorite Walmart until they went all self checkout. If I have 10 items or less I have no issue with self checkout, when I have more it can be completely frustrating.1. I am not a employee of Walmart. I do not recieve any discounts scanning and bagging my own groceries.2. There attendees watch you like a hawk to make sure youre not stealing while doing the job they should be doing.3. They do not take into account the elderly and disabled. Some of the them are sick and fragile. They should not have to scan and bag their own groceries. I had to summon a attendee to help my elderly mother. Made my upset. They should automatically help the elderly and disabled.
Nice store clean my favorite one for sure they always got some good clearance s***
Some products not as good & actually not a value compared to name brands, however, some are just as good. Doing better job stocking during job shortage, however, more incentives ($) could raise overall experience with more workers & less self- check out stations ..
The store use to be great. They have switched over to self checkouts. The lines are all the way back to the pharmacy if not further into the lawn and garden center.Try shopping during the weekdays when there are less people.Trying to call customer service for three days in a row was an issue and no one seems to answer. The people inside are very nice though. Never had an issue with anyone that has worked there.
Great place to shop.not a lot of people in store early evening on a sunday.also the Walmart in Avon Ohio now uses all self checkout when leaving the store.this pervides a quick exit.
Usually well stocked and organized. Im able to get in, get what I need and get out in a timely manner
I rarely go to Walmart but needed a few things and didnt want to go to multiple stores. I hoped it would be easy. WRONG! Nothing is where youd expect, many, many shelves are literally bare and ONE cashier. I got very few things and reconfirmed why online and waiting a few days is the optimal experience.
Will not shop here. With their new remodel 6/21, they have gone to all self check out lines and only one register open. I have been giving Walmart $300 a week for 30 years but not anymore. I just switched to Giant Eagle. I will gladly pay a few more dollars for good customer service.
No cashers! Then if you want to use cash, it looks to be a 2 step process. We were confused at fist about the process and the 2 workers there offered no assistance.. Our1st, and likely last with this poor level of customer service.
My main complaint is that this store has shifted to 95% self selve registers. I have no problem using this feature when it is for a small order but it is an extreme pain when it is a large order. I also felt extremely bad for the elderly as they struggle with this feature. Other than that the store was clean and seemed to be well stocked.
One of the nicer Walmarts that I have been to. Also the online pickup here is really convenient and well set up.
I would never shop there again. They dont have cashier lines. You are responsible for ringing up your own items and bagging.
Its Walmart, and as far as they go, this is the best one in my immediate area. I like the quick easy self-checkout process, and its great to get everything from sporting goods and car accessories to groceries in a single visit. The only complaint I would have is that oftentimes specific items I am looking for will be out of stock, only to be back in stock on a return visit. This is a small inconvenience for the great prices and wide availability of products.
Clean, friendly, helpful sales lady,Denise, was on point with service Thank You Denise for making our visit a pleasure
I love Walmart. Im in there all the time. The store is pretty clean. Only issue I have had was with an older lady in Customer Service named Missy. So rude and unpleasant. Very hard to work with.
The people in electronics was just horrible. Sat there eating. No one wanted to help. Tried to tell people not to buy things from Walmart. Turning people away. Pushed all sales and people on to 1 person. Thought Lorain was bad this place makes them look good!!!
Clean store well organized. It’s ashamed that they only have 2 real check out lines and the rest self checkout . Their goes jobs their . And 98¢ for a plastic bag . I mean I could go to Marc and pay for life time reusable bags for same price .
The store was busy as it is the start of a holiday weekend. 9:00 p.m. lots of customers, and there are zero cashiers. Literally, everyone in the store has to check themselves out. I went to complain, and was argued with. I was told that they would help you at the self checkout if you needed it, but no one assisted me. I was told that if I wanted to complain to someone other than the front end supervisor, that I would have to call 1-800 walmart. So I called, and was told I would be on hold for 13 minutes. It was actually 17 minutes. I was told I would get a call back from the store manager in 1-5 business days. If Walmart is seriously going to eliminate cashiers altogether, I will no longer shop there. And I will encourage others to do the same.
Things were out of order so the prices were marked wrong. I hate the self checkout
I was just picking up a large order in the back but they were quick to get out to me and very courteous
Absolutely no one will come to help no matter what. I waited by the Nicotine patches for 30 min. 3 separate times i asked the store employees for help and they either ignored me or paiged someone that never came. Why lock them if they wont unlock to give to a customer,, I will never come to this Walmart again!
To be honest, they NEVER should have redesigned the check out area. They were probably the only wal mart i had ever been to that have a decent check out. They had decent self check outs on the out side, then they had the self check outs that had the belt so if you bought more the a few items it was good and then cashiers in the middle and actually had cashiers. Almost never had long lines. Now its a huge horrible mess with constant long lines, stress and frustration.
Walmart still cant seem to keep their stores stocked adequately.
Was told over phone to come between 1130 & 1200 hrs. Still had to wait (lunchtime??). Service people courteous & friendly. Son went back next day to get cucumber plants. Hope these make it.
Never go! They arent even cheap. They are over priced. There is no staff to help. They work with no staff. Maybe they should pay better.
I hadnt been to this Walmart in a long time. I would normally go with some of my friends that lived on the West side of Cleveland. I was very impressed the store was clean and neat. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I really had a great experience. Definitely worth going to.
Only self served lanes open. I would rather see and speak with a real person. Your charging more for me to do all my own work.
Horrible. No cashiers, all self checkout. People with carts full of stuff, shouldnt have to check themselves out! WE DO NOT WORK THERE! Elderly people need help with this. I cant wait until the inventory comes around, and you see how much stuff was stolen because of the self checkout!! If zero stars were an option, thats what would have been given. Never going back.
Although Im not a big fan of Walmart mainly because the lack of items or price tags not matching the actual price at check out, I did have a great experience with our cashier. She was on one of only two registers open that were not self check out. I didnt catch her name but she was very sweet and managed very well with the madness of my boyfriend, our one year old, and myself. She even offered a few cents in change of her own so we didnt have to swipe our card. Five stars for service and three for the store itself.
Clean and great services. Aisles where full
Walmart pickup has been wonderful! The employees are really nice and friendly!
Its an okay Walmart Ive been to many of them it needs a little updating. Its located in a very nice side of town especially if youre outside of Cleveland.
Store doesnt want actual employees anymore and wants all self check out.Staff is overwhelmed or simply doesnt care to help out.Walmart does not care anymore since old man Sam passed away and the company is slowly becoming rubbish. (His kids dont care about the company)Go to Target instead.Their selection is better quality when it comes to things certain things. Food wise walmart has more but at a lesser quality while target has less but is better quality.
While i realize its the future i cant imagine shopping there...no cahiers.. self checkout is NOT my choice. i have to bag and ring up my own purchases and figure out i am not supposed to use the last number in the lookup number to get the price... Not sure how many people will lose their jobs in the long run.. unfortunately.
Very clean and fresh produce. Everything was orderly even with the amount of people there. Staff is always available if needed.
Love the grocery pick up experience at Avon Walmart! 90% complete orders with a warning BEFORE I pick it up of what they were out of stock on. Forget the haters. Walmart saves me a ton of money.
A better experience than the Oberlin store! Will be returning to the Avon store
Delightfully cheesey, greasy pizza. Heavy on the cheese (a good thing!) with great toppings. Not for the calorie conscious, but a wonderful treat for those indulging.
Store ran smooth today.
I never saw a Walmart gas station...its so clean and neat. Well maintained rest rooms. Good choice to pick food and drinks and walmart store also just beside it. I loved it.
Some empty shelves, couldnt get everything on our list. Self checkout works decently.
Walmarts dont need reviews, but this one has some of the nicest staff and its so clean and organized.I love the street and all the other spots nearby! Its very nice and a great asset to Avon!Amanda
Was shocked at the changes made, since its been awhile since weve been there. Not good cause self checkout is awful for a single person with full carts. Also its Wednesday and around 1pm but shelves are almost empty. it seems as though a lot of people have lost their job, and if I have to scan and bag my own groceries, why arent the prices cheaper?
Sorry...wont be coming back. Now that you have transitioned to a completely self check out store, I will not be returning. You act as if you have warehouse prices. It is fine when you have a few items, but when my cart is overflowing, it is too time consuming for me to ring myself out as well as bag my own items. I had to call someone over 3 times during the process. Waited 10 minutes the first time before she showed up. Do you really think your time is more valuable than mine? Do you really think that 85 year old customers are going to be able to handle this? Not to mention all the jobs lost??? I will spend a few more pennies at Meijers. They always have PLENTY of cashiers and baggers.
They have everything at decent prices, but theyre killing jobs. No humans at cash registers anymore, only two people acting as robot-minders for self-checkout. Im not on their payroll and Im not providing them free labor by doing it myself. They dont answer the phone, the associates talk to each other instead of helping a customer standing in line in front of them, and every associate Ive talked to tells me to talk to another one. The overall attitude here is Im not gonna do it because someone else will.Im switching to Target.
Great store, always clean. Only complaint is empty shelves/out of stock items
Walmart Super Center @35901 Chester Rd, Avon, OH 44011 is the worst and a repeat offender .The Employees @ this big box store are so arrogant and rude & Management is totally complacent 😡They loiter around & chit chat among themselves, never willing to help the customers !Today after much deliberation, I did complain to someone in Management I hope, with his Walmart vestI know nothing is gonna change at this store, so I guess it is Adios to Walmart Big Box Store in Avon 🏬No wonder people say not to shop @ Walmart .Always after the bottom line for their share holders, not in it for the customers 😢Enough is Enough 😠Go local and help our local residents ..Namaste 🙏🏻
The best thing in Medina
Love them very neat and clean
I used to go to this Walmart regularly but the service has gone down hill dramatically. They can put a new coat of paint on the building and redesign displays but if the customer leaves there with bad service in mind its all for naught.
They dont have Samsung Galaxy smart watch chargers
Once I figured out how to check myself out it is awesome! In, out, its a breeze! Especially at 9:00 pm.
Money order purchased here to move into a place in Ashland. Turned out to be more than I needed. Ashland Walmart employee had me fill out MO to cash amlnd get a new one, cant be cashed because under 24 hours. Yes, I told her I just bought it today. Tells me return to place of purchase and they can cancel. Return here, cant cancel because it is now filled out, still cant cash because it has not been 24 hours since the purchase. Long story short; because of a badly trained employee in one store and either the inability or unwillingness to fix the issue at another, my family of 4, along with a dog and a cat, are sleeping in a vehicle tonight. Of course a mega corporatiom will never own up to their faults, but Walmart should be refunding me a tank of gas spent driving around for this as well as a hotel for the night until I can fix it.
Even with the construction over still dirty, floors are filthy and can barely find someone for help. Then again they werent clean during the pandemic and makes me wonder if there really was one at all.
Excellent prices on 🍒 $1 a lb. Excellent prices on everything I love Wal-Mart. Always end up getting goods after I get what I need In the 1st place lol..
Im the fiancé from Maria Rodriguezs review. Its all true. Samantha and Isaiah were horrible to us.
Usually get groceries delivered from here but store is ok. Usually well stocked and clean given how busy it is. Self checkout is always functional. Getting fabric cut is not worth the very long wait on 3 separate occasions but otherwise this is a fine location. Again, usually the busiest store I go to.
This store needs more night cashiers, there was a line of customers and only one cashier. I know I dont want to ring a whole cart full of stuff up myself, thats what a cashiers job is.
Always a pleasure at Wal-Mart. Neat, clean, friendly.
Never any deli workers or helpful workers on the floor
Where to even start. If I could give zero stars, I would. The saga began in April of 2020 when my fiancé purchased a faberware air fryer with a two year limited warranty. Flash forward to early July of 2021 when our favorite kitchen appliance was suddenly accosted by the devil? A demon? We know not. It would turn on of its own accord and was (obviously) trying to set our house on fire. With our warranty in mind, we called the customer service number on the manual and were told to simply take the appliance back to our local Walmart to exchange it for New Model. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and were told they would not accept it, and that we needed to get ahold of the manufacturer. We went home dejected, and without the ability to cook our chicken nuggets. Once again, we called the Walmart corporate office and were instructed to take it back to the store this time with a reference number and renewed zeal. Upon arriving once again we were told we could not exchange it and that we needed to get ahold of the manufacturer. Which we informed them that Walmart IS the manufacturer ( faberware is a Walmart privately labeled brand). I proceeded to do my weekly shopping while my fiancé called corporate back. The assistant manager, Samantha was extremely rude to the corporate lady and proceeded to call in her superior, an overweight silver backed gorilla named Isaiah who was even worse. These managers were extremely loud and rude and called the attention of other customers inadvertently to the situation (how rude) In the end, they did not have the same model in stocks, so we will be forced to take our beloved nugget maker to yet ANOTHER store in hopes of getting a replacement. We will NOT be coming back to the Avon store, even to get nuggets for our new airfryer if it were the last Walmart not consumed by the zombies after Covid takes us all. (please note this review may be comical, but its a true story. If you cant cry, laugh right?)
As usual everything is in reach everyone is helpful and friendly
Hate their self checkout. Walmart is saving money by putting self checkout lanes. Shame on u walmart
Disgusting in terms of experience. This self checkout is a complete disaster when you have a lot of groceries. There was like 1 actual cashier ringing out . Other than that it’s packed lines as you wait for self checkout. Consumers work and have to spend their off hours waiting in ridiculous lines for self checkout. Billionaire family wants to cut expenses by ridding cashier jobs and making middle class citizens spend more of their time checking out. Meijers is a better destination to shop- friendly, clean and both self checkout and cashiers options. Walmart, respect the consumers time who continue to make you richer !
Going to Walmart isnt ever anything you want to do. For me its not the store that makes it bad its the lack of cashiers and all the weird people in there. This visit wasnt bad but 3/5 is about as good as it gets when you go here. Brick and mortar could be better.
Stopped there to recharge my vehicle on way back to Pennsylvania. It was more expensive to charge the car on their EVgo, than at the Erie, PA Walmart supercenter using their Electrify America charger, where it costs 13 cents per minute . The EVgo would not work initially, had to call the number listed on machine to have them to get it to work. Final charge was $13.00 for 45 minutes.
Nice walmart, good deals on a few things i needed too.have an area near the front door called the dollar something or another(nothing in it was a dollar) not mad walmart just saying.
Lack of employees to do the work, and no one I forcing the rules.
This Walmart is meh..... Its all self checkout now, which I honestly prefer. One thing about the pickup area.... They must have a sewage leak or something going on because it smells like human feces over there. Youll get a headache just from having your car windows open.
Its Walmart. Good one-stop shopping.
It was ok. Busy store, as usual. Was somewhat disappointed with their selection of what I was looking for.
Extremely rude employee accused me of stealing even though my receipt for one item showed the one item I purchased was paid for. Then proceeds to say that I looked as if I was up to no good and he needed to watch the video to make sure I wasn’t trying to steal. I felt so discriminated against because this man choose me to interrogate even tho I had proof of payment. Not to mention that they ran over my foot with their wheelchair. I will never return to this store again I will drive the half an hour to a different store.
Even though it under some changes still a good store they have everything I always need and they have friendly staff.
Generally a good experience at this Wal-Mart. But it seems all Wal-Marts are have supply issues with some products these days.
Need cashier dont go there unless I have to dont like self check out putting people out of work
Easiest place to get gas in Avon (traffic wise). Dont understand why this city has such a gas logistics problem, but Walmart made a clutch decision putting a station in.
Clean organized store.
Grocery and pick up is a joke cant pack a bag proper to save a life who puts 6 33 oz water in one bag? has happed on more than one occasion
