We purchased rock 2 times at this store. The guys outside were very friendly and helpful. When we entered the store to pay for the rock on the first trip, the female cashier inside said it was 700 lbs. We asked to see the scale ticket and she got very snippy and said she threw it in the garbage. We asked her to find the scale ticket and she sarcastically said that she can just show me on the computer which we declined because you can enter any numbers on the computer...we wanted to see the actual scale tickets for before entering the scale and after. So we paid and went on our way. The second time we went there to purchase the same type rock, we were told it was 700 lbs also by the same cashier. REALLY?? How could it be exactly 700 lbs both times??? There was definitely some dishonesty there!!! I give 5 stars for the guys working outside but zero stars for the dishonesty from the cashier. NO WAY are both trips there for rock are going to weigh exactly 700 lbs!!! I might add the second trip there we purchased significantly less rock then the first time yet we were told 700 lbs both times. We wont be going back!!!!

We are regular customers because nice people selling bird feed and other fun stuff. Love browsing this store. Usually come home with something nice. In summer we like their flower pots

Horrible wood and expensive. Not dried and very difficult to light. They should wait before selling unseasoned firewood as they did this year.

The Rock Pile has been our go to for quality bulk mulch, walkway, stone and supplies, beautiful pots, patio and garden accessories for the past 20 years. Friendly staff, good delivery service, a solid, family owned business for many years!

A bit on the pricier side but the quality of what they sold seemed to justify their prices. We didnt end up buying rock here because they didnt have enough for our project. It was our fault for going so late in the season. I will be back when our garden is ready for some fun unique pieces, they have lots to choose from.

Went into to buy 4x4 firewood they said its all green and then wanted to buy 2 $35 stacks they only sell one a day to you and dont deliver. I looked on there website first before going in it didnt say any of this on there website.

Closed at 4:15pm on a sunny Friday afternoon. Wonder when they will expand from the Covid hours.

I love the rock pile! Its a great local business that I utilize very frequently for bulk products such as dirt, mulch, or rocks. Their prices are very reasonable on bulk items. They also offer a good variety of plants and various fun garden knick knacks. The employees are also super helpful and friendly. They also used to have a really cool dinosaur..but not anymore ☹️

The Rock Pile has an awesome selection of stone to choose from. I love anything from nature so looking at them is fun. There is great greenhouse selection with knowledgeable staff available to help. Inside, there are many interesting and unique items to see, such as the rock cairns and fairy garden items.

Interesting garden items inside, nice rocks and stones for the yard. Even found petrified tree pieces for my aquarium!

They carry a wide variety of plants, trellises, fertilizers, yard ornaments, birdseed, trees, and other gardening essentials, along with charming miniature items, such as little stone owls to guard your plants. Theres always something new to see. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

I love these guys. They are so friendly. Art came to my house and re-designed my landscaping. He did a nice job.Rock Pile now has food service and coffee too which is an added bonus for those traveling down Lear Road to get to I-90.

Nice workers, wide variety of stuff for your yard. Tons of trees, plants of all kinds. Wide selection of pots and bird houses, bird seed galore, some house plants. Great selection of rocks (big rocks for borders, big boulders, river rock large and small little pricey but thats only merchandise inside

Best propane refills and if you mention St Paul Lutheran church and school they will get a percentage. Not sure what other charities they support as well.

Terrible luck, 2-years in a row, growing grass with their so called Premium Topsoil. Spent a lot of money with less than desirable results using their products. Did everything the way it should have been done. Called, and the very agreeable customer service person on the phone could do nothing for me. Ive never had this problem planting lawns in the past. Save yourself time and lots of money, find your topsoil somewhere else.

Stopped by for bird seed and was amazed by the high quality selection at very reasonable prices. We have purchased 7 yards of topsoil from them 5 years ago and were quite happy. Then 3 years ago we bought 5 yards of the brown mulch and really like it and it more than covered our needs to do a new covering 2-3 deep. Good bang for the buck when you consider how much you have to pay to get the equivalent in bags of mulch.However this year just did 3 yards for a light topcoat and felt the load a was a bit short. I asked driver and he said he watched he guy do 3 buckets. But my son who has worked landscaping over the years thought it was light as well. And of course we ended up about half a yard short, So Im just going to buy some bags to finish the job. Will go elsewhere in the future.

Do not go to buy rock here. I buy atleast 300 tons of rock every year and never once have I gone somewhere and they say they cant put 5 ton on a truck especially since both of the trucks I wanted 5 ton on are rated for more then 5 ton! Not only that but they charged me $35 a ton. Which is insane since I pay between $22 and $25 at most. Was not very impressed at all.

I went there for mulch yesterday and the guy that drives the front-end loader that wears the safari hat hit my truck three times with the loader now I have three dents in my tailgate and from him hitting it or the weight of the mulch that he was putting in there I dont know because if you wouldnt hit it I will never know but it pushed the leaf spring shackle into the bed of the truck and busted it that really irritates me they should have a spotter on the other side when loading with the loader I dont think Ill be going back there anymore

Store service (inside) was helpful and friendlyOutside...have some nice plants and trees but TERRIBLE service. They cant seem to answer a question or even find the right person to help.

I received some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered at the Rock Pile. I visited the store earlier to purchase some plants and a shrub or two, but an employee in the garden center was so rude and unhelpful that I will NEVER return! Not only did she ignore my questions, I also overheard her being rude to another customer. I couldnt believe it. It is unfortunate because I had heard the selection was good, but I would much rather spend my money at a place where the employees know how to interact with others!
