My husband and I purchased our very first BRAND NEW home and of course needed to hook it up with a brand new bed. After doing some research we decided to pop into Mattress Land. We were greeted by the extremely friendly and welcoming Chris Roach. He was knowledgeable, informative and really catered to our needs and wants. He took his time and really made us feel like valuable customers! We left there purchasing a brand new bed, a fancy base and he even threw in some pillows and sheets! He was very thorough while explaining our paperwork to ensure we understood what we were signing. I purchased a mattress and low profile box spring from Mattress Land yesterday. I was pleased to discover they carried the low profile box spring for my California King bed, as that was an important consideration for my purchase. My current bed sits too hig, leaving my feet dangling in the air when I sit on the side of the bed. Rich was very helpful during the purchase process, taking time to measure the height of various mattress brands as I sat on the side of the bed to determine how far my feet were off the ground. The purchase was completed fairly quick, with delivery promised within a week. I would recommend Rich and Mattress Land if you’re looking for a new mattress.

The folks at mattress land sleep fit center are knowledgeable friendly and they take the supportive side of caring for your needs rather than caring for the sale. The family matters feel to the experience my wife and I had with Chris and his team was one for the books. The first visit was going through the options and our numbers. Chris was helpful the entire time spent there. How ever after two hours of going through everything my wife and I decided to Waite until we where in a more financially stable state before diving into what we hope to be our best sleep ever. Fast forward a few months later we purchased the bed set we had decided on with Chris the first visit. This goes to prove they are not pushy salespeople with quota in mind. They have a genuine motive to inform and assist you with your needs and these days that’s hard to find in any type of purchase in any market. Being a Mattress Firm customer, Im sure glad I came to Mattress Land. Me, my sister and mom are from the suburbs of Chicago, IL. and not knowing the area of Bakersfield very well Google reviews helped me decide to stop in at Mattress Land to look for a mattress for all 3 of us. From the first moment we entered the Calloway location Rich Walsh was there to greet us with an abundance amount of pleasure. To make a long story short, in the end he helped us pick out a Tempurpedic bed for myself and my mom. My sister is still undecided because thats just who she is. Cautious on every penny. Hands down best service I’ve ever had. We’ve been buying here for years, and just like fine wine they’ve aged very well. Honestly no need to even consider anywhere else, as these guys/gals are extremely knowledgeable, authentic, and have extremely fair pricing for premier quality. They were even able to re-schedule out of their normal standards to get everything in before Christmas! In this pandemic it’s impossible to find normal customer service, but Mattress and Sleepfit take it to another level.

We are return customers because of the great service we received from our sales associate Rich. We purchased from Mattress Land a few years ago and he was so helpful then, that when I decided to get us all new beds I knew exactly where to go. However, this time like last time I shopped around and compared prices again. Rich knows his product line very well, and his prices were better than all of his competitors.The sales people at the other stores ranged from basically knowing nothing about their product and no help at all to so over the top and “Pushy” trying make the sale that I thought I was going to have to “Pull the fire alarm” to escape. Mr. Walsh helped us out and first brought us to a diagnostic tool that measures multiple points in your body and extracts a number which is your level of comfort. Next he explains to you what this means for you and your partner, then has an accurate idea of your mattress needs. You then go around to mattresses within this range and test various models and designs, forming an idea of different firmness, coil vs memory foam, memory foam vs temper material and hybrid mattresses. Never once did my wife or I feel pressured for a sale, and as a matter of fact Mr. Walsh is such a genuine person, and really is focused on educating customers on the mattress industry with facts about material, design theory, and the needs each person faces. His candor and customer interaction was so impressive I didnt want to go anywhere else, Rich, thank you so much for the help today and your diligence in being an expert in your field. Oh my goodness! Chris and the manager were wonderful! We stopped at Mattress Land on Calloway in Bakersfield first, and found a mattress we liked. We then went to a competitor’s store. Wow! The sales person was the complete opposite of Chris! It was quite obvious the salesperson did not give two hoots about selling a mattress. Chris, on the other hand, was friendly, helpful, informative, and not pushy. He was funny, too! He seemed to genuinely care about the quality of your sleep. He asked if you were a side or back sleeper, gave us a variety of mattresses to test, and kept track of which ones we liked and did not like. He explained the composition of each mattress in great detail. Wonderful guy! Thank you, Chris!
