We moved to Baltimore two years ago, with no knowledge of the area, no furniture, and a big, empty house to fill. I honestly dont know what we would have done if we hadnt met Kathleen and Jose. Kathleen dedicated herself to finding furniture for our house with incredible generosity. Her knowledge and eye for design and detail is amazing -- but if she didnt have or couldnt find us the perfect piece, she even went so far as to tip us to other dealers who she thought had what we needed! The house is still a work-in-progress but its slowly but surely starting to come together. Uploading some photos as we finally bought the sofa and tables for the kids basement rec area just this week. I really cant recommend Kathleen and Jose highly enough. They are fantastic at what they do and also just such lovely people. Will always be grateful to them!

I am fairly new to Baltimore and have a home that is much more contemporary than anywhere I’ve ever lived. Decorating was overwhelming me. A friend found Urban Interiors online and suggested I go in to look for a dresser for my master bedroom back in November. Not only did I find a fabulous dresser, but I met 2 wonderful people who are helping me transform my new house into MY home. Kathleen helped me find nightstands to complement the dresser and is now helping me to transform the entire room. She has an incredible eye but also has a way of helping me create a look that tells OUR story. I have purchased not only my bedroom furniture, but several pieces for my main living area and it is all high quality and fairly priced. Urban Interiors, and Kathleen and Jose in particular, are fantastic — I feel so fortunate to have them in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Kathleen and Jose are incredibly kind and helpful. Im new to Baltimore, so I figured Id check out the store (& amazing warehouse space nearby) for some furniture ideas. I walked out with a gorgeous bar cart and hanging light. Their selection is really wonderful - great prices and quality. Lots of mid-century/retro-type items. Check out their insta for pieces and also design inspiration. Its all pretty fab. Cant wait to return.

I travelled from VA to Baltimore to visit Urban Interiors last Saturday, particularly because of their reviews. However, my experience with the store is not 5 star rated. My review is specific to the owners and their shady unethical business practices during and after the sale.We arrived to Urban Interiors and were delighted to find a local mid century antiques shop. We enjoy supporting local businesses especially after what covid has done to small businesses. After looking around the store, the owner, Kathleen, suggested we also stop at their warehouse just up the street. We walked, it’s a short few blocks, and weren’t greeted by anyone as her husband was outside deep in conversation with a local couple. Outside we found a set of mid century dining chairs with cane backs that I fell in love with. We went inside and started looking around. We spotted a mid century sofa. After 15 min or so, I went outside to ask the man if we could get some information on these items. He explained the sofa was in immaculate condition and the fabric and cushions had just been replaced. I asked if they had it done, he replied yes. I made an offer on the grouping and he called his wife. When he hung up-he reiterated that their price (they came down $100 total) was firm because they just had the cushions and fabric replaced-brand new- which was the selling point to us. When I tried to get to the sofa and open the cushions up-he reiterated louder-the cushions were new-and suggested the warehouse had a light odor I’d smell if I was smelling the cushions.I’m an honest person and I take people at their word. I trusted him as an ethical business man and took him at his word. After all, a man is as good as his word.Dumb me!They suggested a local delivery service who would be doing deliveries on Thursday. We paid and went home. I emailed the shop about another item we saw. In this email I asked what date the cushions and fabric had been replaced and by what company. Kathleen replied to every question in my email but evaded those. I emailed back asking the questions again. Her reply “The fabric is brand new, the cushions aren’t original”Sounds vague, no? I thought nothing of it at the time. Thursday came-delivery made-within 10 min my entire home smelled like mold and mildew. I unzipped what appears to be newer fabric to find old molded/musty foam rubber. I immediately called and emailed. Her reply“ Mathew, those cushions covers are brand new. My upholsterer did them with a performance fabric. They were done about three months ago.The foam is not new.I believe I told you that.Thanks. I hope you enjoy the sofa. Look on Crypton fabric to see about maintenance.KathleenUrban Interiors”Unreal! They mislead us throughout the whole sale and then dismiss us and the problem, sending us to deal with maintenance. I spent the next day going to upholstery shops. One after another all informed me the cushions and fabric are full of mildew/mold and need replacing. I emailed Kathleen again-No Reply. We paid $1,000 for a sofa under the false pretenses the foam and fabric was new. I emailed and requested a small refund to credit towards the issues. No reply. I took the cushions and placed them in my storage-they stink. I purchased new fabric which cost $280 and an upholsterer is charging an additional $800 to make the new cushions and cover with fabric. After informing Kathleen via email of these steps-providing the receipt for payment of fabric I finally received an email back-Kathleen stated-Bring the sofa and dining chairs back for a refund. Because you bought them together with a discount ($100) they are sold as a package and you must return everything.How shady-knowing we had just purchased the fabric and paid deposit to have the upholstery work done-and we didn’t need to return the dining chairs. She emailed this covering her butt because I mentioned taking her to small claims.Beware-these people are shady.For Small items-they are a good shop-not for furniture-NEVER take them on their word-they lie.

Kathleen and Jose were amazing! Because it was our first time working together, Kathleen made a strong effort to understand my partner’s and my interior style preferences. She and her husband brought several pieces to our home to see what fit best. And both during the appointment and days later, Kathleen checked in with us to ensure we were satisfied with everything. It could not have been a better experience, and we look forward to working with them again.

I cant recommend Urban Interiors enough! We chose to work with them to furnish our living room, and the results have been fantastic. Kathleen and Jose have a knack for finding wonderful pieces, and are a joy to work with.

Finally made it into Urban Interiors after months of stalking their Instagram account. What a positive experience. Not only was I warmly welcomed, but I was able to browse without being haggled and even got a free design consultation. Needless to say, I will be back. If you’re thinking about going, I strongly recommend stopping by.

Really nice owner. Worked with me on a time to meet (during the pandemic) so we were the only ones in the store. The furniture pretty well priced. A good selection at multiple price points. I also got to see the warehouse which was full so f cool pieces.

We love Urban Interiors! Kathleen has an amazing eye and there is always something new and interesting in her shop at great prices. If she doesnt have what you are looking for that day she will offer to keep an eye out for it. So happy to have this store on the avenue!

Kathleen and Jose helped us find the perfect dresser for our new house! The customer service is unparalleled- Kathleen even texted us pictures, dimensions, and details of pieces we were interested in. We also bought a second piece- a beautiful chair- because the quality of their items is really excellent. They even hand delivered the pieces themselves. We couldn’t be more proud to support this excellent business, especially during a pandemic. The in-person experience felt super safe with hand sanitizer, masks, etc but check their social too to see pieces in advance or just give them a call and tell them what you’re looking for. Couldn’t be easier :)

We are so happy with the vintage chest with drawers we purchased from here! Kathleen and her husband were incredible to work with from the minute we stepped in their store. We live not too far from their warehouse, so they were kind enough to deliver the piece right to our door. Not only that, they helped us bring it inside and position it in its new home. Its such a beautiful, stately piece -- I cant believe we found such a perfect addition for our bedroom that we will surely be designing around for a long time. Thank you!

Urban Interiors is an absolute gem! It not only has a wonderful selection of furniture, decor, and art but also fantastic customer service from the owners (Kathleen and Jose) that reminds us why shopping local is a great experience for all. Kathleen was generous with her time and ideas in how to make pieces in her shop work with the furniture we already had, and she was honest in her opinion. Jose was wonderful in delivering a piece to our place once we purchased it. So far, we have bought dining room chairs, a sofa, and a bar cabinet from Urban Interiors, and everything has been of the highest quality (much of it from Hickory) and priced fairly. Everyone needs to put this shop on their list to visit whether youre driving through, visiting, or living in Baltimore - youll regret not stopping by!

I had a great experience shopping here. The owners were personable and so helpful. The prices are reasonable too. A relaxed shopping experience with people who love what theyre doing. Ill be back next time Im in Baltimore.

This is a gem. Excellent collection of antique or retro furniture and other interior finds at reasonable prices. Spacious, tidy layout. Kind management. There isnt anything like this that Im aware of on the Avenue! Catch them on the weekend, as they dont have weekday hours.

Kathleen was terrific! She has an excellent eye for how to make the furniture and artwork you already have work in your space. For those who need it, she also has a strong selection of artwork that she brings with her to fill in gaps. I was very pleased with how she was able to merge different tastes -- my husband was as happy as I was, even though he favors a more traditional look while I favor a more modern one. Kathleen is thorough without dragging out the clock, helpful without trying to push big purchases on you, and ready to throw herself into whatever task you ask of her. Shes also very reasonably priced, both for her time and for the artwork she provides. I would work with her again in a heartbeat, and indeed am already making plans to set up a few projects in the future. Thanks SO much!

Such a warm and fun place to find treasures! A collection of carefully selected items big and small, funky and elegant...all arranged in creative ways that inspire. I love visiting this shop when Im in baltimore.

Great selection of vintage furniture, thoughtfully curated. A bit expensive but probably worth a visit regardless.

Urban Interiors is a gem. They have a small shop as well as a large warehouse with an ever rotating selection of vintage furniture and fixtures. The owners have a great eye for Modern design. Ive purchased a desk lamp, a very sturdy and clean Italian bench, and two Milo Baughman-esque lounge chairs to date. They post updates weekly on instagram- a bonus for people who work a lot and dont have the time to window shop. Its a very special place and Im happy that we have this in Baltimore.
