I have been collecting posters for over 35 years, and have worked with a number of poster restorers and linen mounters. i can safely say that Sei Petersen, who runs Poster Repair Company, is the best in the business. If you want a poster expertly restored, with the highest degree of care and expertise, call Sei. He is the gold standard in poster restoration and conservation.

Restored a 18x22 photograph which was rolled up like a poster for 37 years. Overall, I am pleased with the restoration/repair considering there were several artifacts (creases, discoloration). A major downside was that it took over 11 weeks to complete the restoration. The owner replies when I email for a status update. But, it seemed like the project was not important, since I got a response: I’ll get on it in the next week or so. Apparently, the material was not easy to work with, but the company did not tell me this until 10 weeks later. Unfortunately, there is no time to have the restored photo/poster framed to give as a present for the holidays. I do not plan to use this service again.
