Honesty will get you far in this world! I had a problem with my clutch, these guys told me to buy a $5 bottle of brake/clutch fluid and top it off, and it fixed the problem! They easily could’ve had me bring it in and charged me hundreds if not thousands of dollars and I never would’ve known the difference. This was probably the best experience I’ve ever had with an auto repair shop. I had some issues with my transmission, and they were very honest on what did and didn’t need to be done. My car stopped working in the middle of the road and I ended up breaking down across from Auto Shop Limited. I walked into the shop upset by the situation, and Harvey helped me calm down, rolled my car into the bay, and diagnosed the problem. They said that it would be done by the next day! When the owner, RJ, called I explained how I felt as if I should just get a new car and be done. He spoke to me and told me how that wasn’t a great financial decision in his opinion and was incredibly honest and helpful with all the questions I had. I think he had two incoming calls and he still spent time making sure I was comfortable with my decision. I went to pick up my car and Harvey was so incredibly lovely. The price was exactly as quoted and I was in and out. Not only did they fix my electric problem, but somehow my check engine light went off too! Now it’s running smoother than before. I highly highly recommend this shop. My car had a broken clutch and it was a big job that needed a lot of parts. I had gotten a lot of ridiculous quotes at other mechanic shops. When I brought my car to this shop the owner was very respectful and didn’t try to scam me seeing that I was a woman. I knew what was wrong with my car and knew that the ballpark of how much it might cost because of all the past quotes I’d received. The shop gave me a reasonable price, kept me updated on what was happening with my car, sent me videos of the process, and finished the work in record time. The service I received was exceptional which is why I will be going to this shop from now on for any work on my car in the future.

Auto Stop Shop installed a special order Hi Performance transmission for my 2004 Nissan Maxima Sl the mechanics are very professional all are highly certified in all areas of auto mechanics. I would especially like to thank Mr. Harvey for handling the painstaking task of installing the replacement transmission. He also politely informed me of other potential mechanical issues that require attention. I also like to thank Mr RJ for following up on the completion of the job. Let me start off by saying thank you. I called around for my company to have two engine replacements done. Came across Auto Stop and spoke with two guys there and I was impressed. Our company is located out of town and we had our foreman take the vehicles in for the repairs. From the beginning to end they kept us up to date on process. The price was about fifteen percent lower than other places we called. As for the the service it was top notch and we even received pictures of work done. Were glad our money was spend here and enabled us to get or employees back on the road. We will be back for our services while contracted in the Baltimore and surrounding area.

As a customer, what matters for me most is to have my car fixed. Good customer service and professionalism, not to be ignored or discounted, are nonetheless secondary. I visited this repair shop 3 times to fix the same issue. They replaced many parts in the car and attempted different repair solutions to no avail. The problem was simply too elusive for them. What I disliked were the assurances that this part or this repair will 100% resolve the ussue. I blame myself first, though, for not taking the car to the dealership or to a more specialized auto repair place for my particular type of problem.

I’ve known about this place for a long time. They do almost all our family cars. My engine blew up and I got it replaced by them. They give you a figure and it’s the right price. Good mechanics and diagnostic skills. RJ and crew work hard to find the problem and ensure it stays fixed. Auto Stop is fair and honest. ( no hidden fees)

My experience with these guys have been great so far and whenever I have an issue with my car or have to get it serviced I go to these guys. Their prices are great and they are very nice, they make it their priority to make sure that all of their customers are taken care of and that you walk out their shop happy. Excellent repairs for us when we had our motor replaced after it overheated on my son. The price was great for the Jasper motor RJ recommended. We were given a couple of options, but decided on the new one. Doug and Harv were super guys and helped with the process also. I was referred by a friend who told me RJ had been at Auto Stop for many years. Highly consider this shop for car repairs and they do look out for you.

I do not recommend this shop to anyone and especially not women. The owner made me feel very uncomfortable during my service, on phone calls, and when I sadly had to come back because my issue wasn’t fixed from my first service. He was very dismissive and rudely sarcastic to every word I had to say about my vehicle and the service that they did not do properly. I had to ask him repeatedly for a receipt for service and for a copy of my paperwork. This was the worst experience that I’ve ever received from any body shop.😔😔😔

Very good and quick service. They were able to get me in and out within an hours time. It was my first time there and RJ was very pleasant. Being that it was my first time, he told me the history of him and his shop and showed me around a little. Although my car would not cooperate for them to diagnose it, I felt that they would have done a very good job and the pricing seemed very reasonable for another issue they quoted me on. I will definitely be going back to them in the very near future for all of my repairs.

I had a great experience with these guys. Went in with an electrical problem, the low beam headlights not functioning properly on my BMW. These guys were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They traced the problem and fixed it. They were also cheaper than the dealer.

I never write reviews, but the guys at Auto Stop are certainly deserving.I took my car to a different mechanic, and, long story short, the other mechanic told me that I would need a completely new engine (to the tune of $2000+).I took my car to Auto Stop to get a second opinion, and found out that the first shop was basically lying about everything. The mechanics at Auto Stop worked with me and kept me informed every step of the way (and showed me how the first shop was completely lying about my cars engine).I cannot recommend these guys enough! These guys are, in my opinion, the best and most honest mechanics in Baltimore.

I called for an emergency on a Saturday.... though they were closed, the owner totally helped me via phone to get my car key out of ignition and then came by to jump me so I could use my car until I got into the shop!! Total perfect, out of their way, assistance!!!! Unbelievable that people are that helpful in this time and age of lack of community support! I will never go anywhere else from now on!!!! Had a wonderful experience here. I called to have a flat tire patched at 7:15am and I was taken care of by 8am. They repaired my tire and put it on my car for free. Even if they had charged me, they gave me the cheapest prices around. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. Very helpful and kind! Im always leery of mechanics because it can be hard to know if youre getting a good price or if theyre being honest with you, but I felt very well taken care of. Their prices are fair and theyre happy to explain things to you and show you what theyre doing (RJ explained what they were doing and had pictures I could look at of all the part replacements they did). All in all, I had a great experience here!

This place is excellent. Theyve got a customer in me as long as Im in the area. Really enjoyed talking to RJ. Great professional place that hes got there. I needed an oil change...got me in and out with no appointment or anything in about a half hour. Very impressed with the people and the work. Updated Review:RJ called me less than two hours after my original review, apologizing for the perceived mix-up and offering to cover the cost of the car rental and offering a free oil change. I appreciate their consideration and feel their response to my experience was more than fair.Original Review:They were very inconsistent about when my car would be ready. Today I got a call at 2:30 from them in which they said in no uncertain terms that my car would not be ready until tomorrow. (I had called two hours earlier and on Friday, and both times they said it should be ready Monday).I asked if there was any chance it could be ready today and was given the impression that it would not be, even though I had been told previously that itd be ready today.Naturally, after receiving their 2:30 call I went to enterprise to rent a car because I need a car for a daily, and quite long, work commute. Half an hour after I got home with the rental I got a call that my car was ready. If they had told me there was even a chance of it being ready during the 2:30 call, I wouldnt have rushed to Enterprise. Basically, Auto Stop Limited cost me an extra $75 today because of their poor communication. They seem like nice people, but show incompetence. I will never be back and will tell others I know not to take their cars here if theyre on a specific timeline and need specific communication about car readiness.

When I left, I immediately called my boyfriend and told him I had the best auto shop experience of my life. Staff is friendly and professional, and my oil change (my car takes synthetic oil) was about half the price it would have been elsewhere! Staff was knowledgeable about other issues with my car, but not pushy. Will definitely go back!

They will tell you that your car needs work done to it, never do the work but then charge you as though they did. For example, they told me my vehicle needed rotors all the way around. Come to find out they only changed the brake pads. Please do not waste your money here......youve been warned! If you do decide to get work done here have them show you your vehicle before they do the work and then after.....trust me!!!

Id like to thank RJ, Harvey, and Doug for the exceptionally great work that they do. I had a motor mount issue that lasted 3 months and cost me a lot of money. Out of 3 different auto shops, Auto Stop, was the only shop that corrected my issue and now my car is running the way that it is suppose to. My impressions is that these guys are professionals who are trying to fix my car in the most affordable way possible. When I described the symptoms they had a good possible cause of the problem before the diagnostic was done. You should go out of your way to have your car repaired at Auto Stop. RJ is one of the nicest people you will meet. He took the time to diagnose car and give me a list of issues that needed to be corrected. He was happy to discuss the cost and which repairs were needed to be done now. I like there honesty and that they are a local neighborhood shop. 5 Stars from me.

This is my third time going back to them, I fell like there honest and the price is reasonable. I definitely had a hard time finding a good auto shop until I ran into this shop.

It was my first time going there. I called randomly in the afternoon and they were able to take me at 2 pm. I needed my axle replaced. it took a couple of hours. The very nice mechanic took me to the back and showed me my problem(s) which I really appreciate. The owner was very kind and gave me a free oil change next time I visit. Overall very pleased and will return.

This shop is the real deal!!! I spoke with the owner RJ about a repair that another shop had failed to complete for me, front brake rotor replacement. He was awesome he allowed me to bring in the parts Id paid for with the first garage and he was willing to do the work for the best price. Very good mechanics with a lot of experience. Had an engine redone in our Mercedes Sprinter and the price was cheaper than the dealer. You can see the shop has been there a long time and I met another customer that has been coming here for over ten years. Good quality and the job was done on the time they said. I had a short in my brake light, and had a hard time finding a place that I trusted to give a good deal on electrical work. My problem ended up being just $70, everything was easy, they were friendly and straight forward. Ive seen fake reviews for some of their competitors, but these guys were the real deal.

My 2006 Honda Civic needed a clutch replacement and my current mechanic quoted me an outrageous price. Therefore, I shopped around the Baltimore area and reviewed all recommended places based on Yelp, Google and a few other sites. That is how I came across RJs place. I liked that he was in business over 40 years.I had a great experience from the first phone call all the way to picking up my repaired car. They quoted me a fair estimate, gave me a logical timeline and kept me in the loop throughout the repairs. My final bill was right within the estimated quote range.I was pleased with my experience and I will bring back my car in the spring for an AC overhaul.Thanks RJ and thanks to your team too.

Had a flat tire and the owner went out of his way to get an employee to drive it to the shop and change it to my spare. They ordered me a new tire which I paid for that day, took less than an hour total. As a new driver I had to say that the owner was very kind and experienced, helping me with my issue even though I was flustered and panicked. In the end I only paid for the new tire (very fair price as well) and went home without my groceries even turning bad. Ill definitely be coming here again if I need help!

Im so glad I was recommended to come here, Ive been having so much trouble with my car (of course it just got paid off) and they have been nothing but amazing. If I could give them less than a start I would. The front desk mechanic was so rude! I paid $200 for them to fix my car. The next day I want to get the emissions test and it was not even fixed. This place is a complete fraud and thief. I paid 800 dollars for get my Saturn fixed and the exact same problems (loss of power) happened the very next day. Took it too another shop and they said they didnt do anything. And the professionally and costumer service went down AFTER I paid a deposit. It was like night at day. RUN from this place! This was a HORRIBLE experience. I PRAY that no one else goes through what I Went through. It want to wast your money like i did. Go to this shop. The owner will tell you how they been in business for 35 years, so he has had 35 years on how to SCAM and RIP you off!!!

The guys at Auto Stop are really great, and seem to be genuinely interested in providing top-notch customer service along with knowledgeable repair and maintenance work. Ive had both major and minor work done at Auto Stop, and they are one of the few trustworthy shops that Id bring any of my vehicles to...the fact that their rates are pretty reasonable is another plus.

Ive been to Auto Stop about five times in the last month for the same problem - coolant leak. Spent over $700+ to replace the radiator, water pump and timing belt in hopes of resolving the problem which is still occurring today. RJ is not so pleasant. Doug; however, is the mechanic who worked on my truck and is very nice and understanding. Despite of Dougs good customer service, I do not want to have to return...... Keep in mind the coolant still leaks and its always something else on top of something else and none of the resolutions are stopping the leak.

Excellent service, ive been searching all over my area looking for a decent place to get my turbos replaced for upgraded ones for my 300zx, which not many shops work on, until i stumbled across auto stop unlimited which was about 1.5 hours away but looking at the reviews i had to give them a call. They explained their experience, their history of 300zxs, and a fair price range especially compared to every shop that quoted my upgrade/install. So i took the car in, explained specific request, and they started working on the car, once they finished with the customers ahead of me. Harvey communicated with me during install asked questions before doing anything that is recommended, and finished everything the right way. Definitely worth the trip. Very nice cool guy, and very informative and can relate to you if your upgrade savvy. FYI if your doing anything major upgrade wise, give them some time for fabrications, parts, etc for it is not a quick and easy job especially if you want quality.

Every time I go there no problem they call you after they look at your car and tell you what needs to be done before they start.

FABULOUS! Most professional and honest mechanics I have dealt with in 50 years. Repaired my car as promised at a reasonable price and even did some additonal repairs when needed. My only compaint is that I did not discover these guys 30 years ago (they have been in business that long). Doug is terrific. If you need auto repair, get to these guys asap.john

I Here now at the Shop. Mr.Rj is the man with the power to sweet to be sour. His team and crew members work together to get the job done. I have a Toyota RAV4 and changed out the Engine. He communicated with me on updates and made sure everything ran right for me. 10 star Service the other place is better!

I called the shop on a Saturday, and my call got forwarded to RJ because they are closed on the weekends. RJ helped me diagnose the car issue over the phone, and even offered to view a video I recorded to try to figure out the solution. I ended up taking my car to his shop on a weekday and he got it fixed up in a short amount of time.The customer service and attention to detail by the folks at Auto Stop is amazing. The workers are personable and professional. I would definitely recommend Auto Stop and will be coming back for any future car troubles.

They were great! My car was stalling and the check engine light was on. They repaired the car for under $100. Im positive any other shop would have charged me far more! These guys are great!

R.J. and his team were extremely helpful to me after my car broke down about a mile away from the shop. I described the problem over the phone and R.J. instructed me how to get the car to his shop safely without damaging it further (it had a bad cooling system problem). Not only was Auto Stop able to finish the work the next day, they quoted me an extremely reasonable price and made sure my car was in great working order.There are a few other auto garages in the area, but I am definitely taking my vehicle back to Auto Stop the next time I have any kind of problem. Highly recommended!

I am not easily impress about ratings, but this is the BEST auto shop I been to ever, they have HONEST people that work on your vehicle like its theirs and wont try to get over on you like them other shops or dealerships. RJ and DOUG you are the best, I tell everybody I know who having car problems leave it to these guys and you wont have them problems.

I had the misfortune of having my battery die on 25th Street. But I had the fortune of finding Auto Stop right across the street. The customer service was top notch, and they had me up and running in no time. I can highly recommend them!

Very good customer service. RJ & Doug were friendly and clearly explained what I needed fixed. Then they got the job done in a few hours. I only rate it a 4 rather than 5 because it seemed a little expensive.

Owner (R.J) truly cares about his work, and his integrity is shown by his honesty and effort to ensure I was happy. They did a tune up and my friends Caliber was running like new (2011). Didnt try to jack up things like oh you need wipers, et cetra.I have been to auto mechanics that do a good job, but this place is the best. Example, I could tell Doug took pride in his work by his effort to help a lady even though they were closing !This is the effort and integrity people should strive for. Went in after looking them up here on google. Had decent reviews for a shop that could do transmission work. RJ and Doug seemed very honest like they werent going to pull a fast one on me who has minimal auto repair knowledge. Originally I thought it would be anywhere from 500-1000 dollars as my truck was leaking trans fluid quite badly. Ended up being just over 100 bucks for total repair, did it in about 30 min for me as it was only a hose. Really appreciate the fast and genuine service. Firefighters get a discount here!!! I will be back for all of my future service.

This place is wonderful. R.J. and his staff are friendly, professional, and accommodating. Unlike the dealership, the mechanics at Autostop always take the time to explain and never over charge. I highly recommend!
