Great used bookstore with lots to peruse through. The new location is a little smaller than the previous but the selection still good and the staff is really nice.

I am in love with this surprisingly large shop! New and used books line the walls. Decent prices, most used books were $5-7. I picked up four new reads for $24. Huge variety with new releases sprinkled in. This charming shop should be a stop on any book-lover’s itinerary.

I was visiting Baltimore and stopped by this bookstore. For any book lovers this is the place to go. A huge selection of books both recent releases and older releases to choose from. The prices were very affordable. Friendly staff and great service. I will definitely be back!

Loved my short visit here. I had viewed their selection online prior and decided to come in to shop instead of doing the pickup option. I was surprised when I easily found the book I was coming in there for. Cozy little spot with tons and tons of books.

Its bigger on the inside! Honestly, I felt like I had walked into a fantasy story. The AC that greeted us was a blessing on such a hot day. The stacks of books of all ages and styles stacked to the ceiling and piled in corners made me feel as if I had snuck my way into a mad wizards study. And then, just as I thought I had reached the end, a door opened into a shaded courtyard hidden in the center of the building. This shop would fit perfectly in Digon Alley. Yet there was still more, as another door led into an entirely new store filled with yet more books. I am pretty sure the shop keeper is secretly a wizard. I even had the privilege of being ignored by his Familiar, a rather distinguished seslpoint cat. All in all, a magical experience.

I always stop when Im in Federal Hill.Recently Andrew sent me several very helpful photos of a beautiful book I was interested in. Wonderful quirky eccentric book store. Good for both kids and adults. I find their architecture and religion sections to both have interesting finds. Everything is very reasonably priced.

The store has so many books that I could spend hours in there! Its a hidden treasure of a bookstore and will always be my favorite! The staff was friendly and seemed to genuinely want to be there. The courtyard had beautiful artwork. It has such a cozy vibe and I feel happy whenever I go there!

My husband and I go here every few months since its about a 30-45 minute drive. It is our all time favorite book store! We always find plenty to leave with and I LOVE all the Russian art, dolls, and miscellaneous items they have. Most importantly, prices you cant beat!

Quaint and cozy, if slightly crowded. Large selection of books new and, what was of greatest interest to me, old. I found the prices to be extremely reasonable, but I dont often go to used book stores. Although hours are technically only the weekends, if youre in the area, stop by, as they sometimes open on weekdays when events draw more people to Baltimore

Great place to spend hours browsing all the variety of books! The owner had some water and cookies set out for the guests while I was there, which was very nice.

As a lover of the feel of books in my hand and the smell of the paper, coming upon this gem was heaven! Lots of cheap used books, older books in good condition at reasonable prices and older hardcovers at higher prices, as well as new publications. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore the full selection as well a pathway through a courtyard to another building with more selections as well as collectibles. Could have spent longer than I did there and spent much more money. I dont live local but will return when I get back to town.

Truth be told, I never heard of this place. I parked in South Baltimore with the intentions of walking down the Inner Harbor to look through Barnes & Nobles, but as I passed this place I could smell the books!!They pack a lot of merchandise in a small place and everything is pretty well organized. The best part to me? They had a shelf dedicated to Kurt Vonnegut!The woman working there was super friendly and helpful, not to mention beautiful (but thats not relevant to the story)I will be a repeat customer and this place is super convenient even if you only go into town to drink at the many bars around.Five stars easy!

This is one of Baltimore s best kept secrets. I have an appreciation for books and reading. I always like going to this store to search for book titles that have a bit of timelessness to them.

My family and I always enjoy visiting the Book Escaped every trip to Baltimore! We often travel from Philadelphia and definitely make that an important stop for our daughter a great book lover. A wide variety of used and vintage books well organized friendly atmosphere. A definite for Book Lovers! PS I must also add an addition to this review. They have a small but very unique selections of jewelry and other collectible items! Very interesting items can be special gifts for a special person take time and look them over when you visit the book Escape!!

It has the ramshackle charm of most used book stores. The foreign language section is pretty good with a wide variety of languages. To me the prices are reasonable.

We were vacationing here and found this place in passing. although the shop is small, it is quaint and has a good atmosphere. i was surprised at the large selection of books- it even expands into the space next door! you can find a book on almost anything and the prices are generally low and reasonable. well worth revisiting if i return to baltimore again :)

Lovely little shop piled high with books of every type! My friends and I have gotten some great deals here, including used MCAT and LSAT books. Ive never paid more that $10 for a book.

I love browsing here, but Im never prepared for how many books I find that I absolutely NEED to have. I raised my children on books that I bought here., and now Im enjoying my quiet evenings with books for myself. I can even browse while waiting for the Circulator bus.

Very nice environment, and an easy to follow layout with well priced books, CDs, and DVDs. The owner was very friendly, and it was very convenient that they accepted card payments. The little outdoor alcove area was a nice place to relax as well.

Its nice to find a used book store . it is located in Ferderal Hill a cute, cozy, historic area if Baltimore. Though at the time the only trade-ins he was looking for are newer text books but you can still find great books at great prices here.
