A damned good place for whiling away a light-and-shadow evening hour, over a beer and a book and the dark, polished wood of a bar that wears its scars proudly. The conversations around you blend agreeably with those youre having with yourself as you ponder the hour, the day, the life, such that you dont at all mind surfacing from your depths like a dolphin coursing alongside a wood-hulled clipper, its crew hoisting their drinks in salute to the setting sun, to exchange cheerful babble, wondering at the glories and the limitations of language, as dolphins often do, but thankful for the sheer grace of this life, this world, these strangers, this beer, this bar wherein you spend this chiaroscuro evening hour.

I have gone a handful of times, and though enjoyable, I always go expecting more and leave with a satisfactory experience. The place is poorly lit yet not in a romantic or intimate setting - either too bright or too dark. The food is as I said satisfactory. The menu descriptions can be delightful. In my personal taste the food could use more flavor, and they could be more creative with how they prepare their tofu. The hot chocolate was warm, yet simply tasted of chocolate syrup... I feel the quality and inventiveness could step up a margin, as well as the atmosphere.

One World Cafe is one of the most consistently performing cafes I have dined in. For eight years, I have enjoyed one excellent meal after another. The food is prepared wonderfully and not once have I had an order messed up or not up to standard. And what’s even better are the people who work there. These are quite simply some of the friendliest people in the neighborhood - I genuinely feel like a celebrity every time I set foot in the door.I recommend One World Cafe with the highest regard. Check out their weekend breakfast/brunch specials, particularly the sweet ones. And don’t even get me started on their Apple Cider. So tasteful. Best I’ve ever had.

Customer service is generally poor. For example, closing the kitchen 30 minutes early, hanging up the phone, being impatient or snarky at the register. The customer service makes for a bad experience regardless of if you are dinning in or picking up. The food is great which is the only reason I put up with employees. They could be amazing if they hired better staff.

Ive come here dozens of times in the last decade and its always great. The menu is generally vegetarian but it is all deliciously seasoned. Theres a sit-down restaurant section in the back and a cafe-style section in the front with a bar in between. The cafe section is an excellent place to study although seating can be limited at peak hours. In warm weather, outdoor seating is available. Sometimes, the air conditioning may be turned up a bit too strong in the summer and it can get chilly.

Went here with my mom for my birthday. As a vegetarian, she rarely has options for food at restaurants other than salad and mac and cheese. The menu here was entirely vegetarian/vegan, and while I myself am not (and was a little hesitant to order something unfamiliar), I found that the food was absolutely incredible. We split a cream of tomato/basil soup, and I had no idea tomato soup could taste that good. I also ordered a portobello mushroom wrap, which was delicious and very filling. Non-vegetarians might be hesitant to go here because of the unfamiliarity, but I insist that you give it a try- its well worth it.
