So I stopped in to get a coffee and muffin while I watched the water rise during a flood. Only had cash (20s and a 5) they only accepted cards at the time. They accepted the small bills I had in exchange for my order... Wow how often to you hear that took an almost $4 short Im impressed guys. By the way that was the best croissant muffin Ive ever had. Please keep up the good work world needs people like that!
New to the area and discovered Pitango while scooting about through the city. I absolutely love it here! Its one of my favorite places to decompress by the water, have meetings or meet new people. The overall vibe is casual & chill. Any time I go the staff is pleasant and friendly. Now for the drinks & food...DELISH!Its also the only place Ive been to that makes a turmeric-based drink. Their Turmeric Latte is hella good iced or hot. Food is freshly made...One visit I had avocado toast, another, salmon toast (see pics). Also enjoyed a breakfast sandwich on a separate visit: egg fried hard with mozzarella basil drizzle on a croissant. Everything Ive had thus far is very tasty. (Im a foodie and selective)P.S. Whoever selects the music has great taste. Everything from ol skool hip-hop to Latin to R&B classics. A good diverse and eclectic mix.
Black people: spend your money elsewhere!I dined in, to enjoy a charcuterie board after my massage nearby while I waited for my wife to head to dinner. They assumed my ish was to go, even though I asked for a tall “glass” of water with lemon. I only knew that because while I was waiting outside enjoying the nice day, expecting them to bring out my plate and time went by so I went inside to check on my food and it was sitting on the counter in a box, with the focaccia in a bag.I went outside anyways and enjoyed the box, which was decent. I figured maybe they don’t bring food outside to those dining outside?Wrong. A table full of white people had their boards brought to them- with explanations of what each item was and so forth. I had arugula and some pickled vegetable that I was unfamiliar with but was too prideful to even walk back in there.I tipped but really shouldn’t have. The lady at the register was not friendly, barely looked at me and gave her attention to the white patrons instead.I was planning to hit this spot for breakfast in the am, since I’m staying directly across from it - but I will not spend money where I’m not welcomed.Sad what gentrification can do.
Just a really nice vibe. Has outdoor seating near the water which makes it a very nice place to just sit and chill. Even better is that the food/bread/pastries are always fresh and tasty. The coffee is ok, not much variety with the diff flavor syrups.
This was a cute little bakery cafe! I had the avocado toast with pistachios, red pepper flakes, etc seasonings. It was yummy, and the avocado and pistachios balanced well with the red pepper flakes, though it was a bit strong. The iced mocha tasted great as well, though it was filled with more ice than coffee. The blueberry tartlet was also great with real blueberries in it!The service was great with a knowledgable cashier, and let us know where to pick up our order.Outdoor and indoor seating were plenty, and comfortable.
Went here with my boyfriend. Saturday afternoon it was way too expensive for coffee I could get at my own home, yes it may have been fresh food but they need people to know how to make sandwiches and coffee no flavor In a 15 dollar sandwich. As well as 7 dollars for “lavender iced coffee with soy”. way too much milk. I was disappointed. I have been making coffee since I was a child though. The location was very pretty and I liked looking at the view off of fells point pier. The weather was also divine. but definitely not going back here unless I ask who made the coffee!! 🤨🤨
Im glad I discovered this place recently. One of these places you just enjoy the look of the dish pretty much the same as the taste. Amazing!
Would give six stars, if I could. We had exceptionally delicious and well-prepared focaccio sandwich, salmon toast, avocado toast, and beet salad. Service was exceptionally friendly and competent. Really lovely space, inside and out, with a good location. Wouldnt mind a slightly bigger menu, but what they do, they do well.
A beautiful sunny day was my first visited Pitango bakery where was clean, cozy, and comfortable cafe. You can get a high standard coffee. I must said it’s the best pastry in Baltimore city!! All look attractive and taste delicious!! I found not difficult to park during weekday morning in that area! Must back soon
Decided to come here for coffee and lunch because it had outdoor seating and is on the water. Outside patio is nice but thats what youre paying for. Food is overpriced ($13 for sandwiches that come with no sides and $12 for salads). Drinks cost an extra dollar for any non-dairy milk. Didnt have any eggplant and wifi was spotty. Do not recommend.
Great fresh food and fast service but the location inside needs TLC inside and better cleaning. Some issues with service as well. There is no good parking near, so expect to park further and walk. Our order wasn’t fulfilled correctly, when I brought it back no apology, not a new order, the girl took the meat out of the same carton box and put salmon instead. She also took the box in gloves ant it became greasy on the outside. I didn’t want to argue because we were in a rush.
Great coffee and pastries. Get a cruffin, you wont regret it!
Words can’t even begin to describe the goodness that is Pitango. They have locations all over the DMV, but the Fells Point location is my favorite by far due to their ginormous food menu! If you havent been yet, you NEED to go because their sandwiches and pastries will blow your freaking mind. Must-tries are their cruffin - its so good, youll be back for more - their almond croissant, and their Red sandwich. FYI, they now sell alcohol here as well so get here STAT!
This used to be a hidden gem, with the best croissants in town. Now it is a well known gem, with the best croissants in town.
It was nice and chilly when I visited this place. It was nice to grab a good cup of coffee. It’s busy which means the food is good. The staff was friendly and service was great. I did not eat but the coffee was great.
Best bakery/cafe in town! Must try their red sandwiches!
This was a cute little coffee shop in Fells Point. We would have liked more of a selection of pastries or cookies. There were only 3 cookies there when we were there and no pastries. Great tasting sipping chocolate. It was truly great.. smooth and thick. The hot cocoa was ok but the shipping chocolate was much better. There was a good mix of people eating brunch, working on laptops and some just stopping in.
This place is the spot to be if you want to enjoy a cup of coffee right on the water! It’s a bit pricey but well worth the money. They use real chocolate with the mocha which keeps me coming back for more. Big pastry selection and other food choices I am dying to try! Highly recommend this place!(Cruffin + Mocha)
I didnt have the cafe food, just chocolate cookie (which is superb) and a brewed coffee. The brewed coffee didnt turn out good, must be out for a while already. It was lukewarm. So, my hubby asked if they can just add ice to it, so its an iced coffee. I guess because he mentioned that its also my 40th bday, they replaced the brewed coffee with a latte instead. Nice gesture and friendly atmosphere. It seemed to be not just a popular tourist place, but a local favorite. Customer service and location gained them 5 stars! We will try the cafe food next time we visit!
We stopped in for a pastry at the end of the day. The selection was limited at the end of the day but the scone that my wife picked out was very good.
Beautiful space, prompt and friendly service, good food. There are some good vegetarian options. I happened to be there when a local bluegrass group was playing, so it was lively. The bathroom could have used some attention, probably because the evening was so lively, but I was really glad that the restrooms are gender neutral. Stools along a counter looking out over the water were ideal for eating alone.
I came here for lunch, with the intention of ordering a sandwich. The sandwiches here are $13 which is a lot of dollars, but were talking waterfront property in fells point, a large indoor & outdoor footprint, and an Italian sounding name.I got the Red sandwich. I felt gross ordering a Red sandwich, it felt like a dystopian novel, or maybe Roald Dahl (same difference). But the sandwich was large (I ate half and later ate the other half while watching The Bad Batch with my friend Megan) and really delicious. The internal toppings of the sandwich were really good, excellent tomatoes (not on my sandwhich, which despite being called Red has zero tomatoes) and overall fresh and full. I never felt like I was biting into just bread, which was really delicious, a cheesy foacaccio (idk how to spell). The outdoor space takes up the whole sidewalk, which makes accessibility issues I think. Theres a fence constructed a little further down now so the whole sidewalk is kinda unusable for wheelchairs etc, but there is a sidewalk on the other side of the street, so idk if it matters. But be aware if that affects you.Coffee was also good.
Coffee gets 4 stars, caprese breakfast croissant gets 4 stars, atmosphere at our outside table gets 5 stars. Looking forward to many visits to this place over the summer and beyond!
A bit pricey but delicious food!
Fun, convenient hang out of the water to re-caffeinate and people watch.
The scone was awesomeee!! I loved it! The mocha too, wasn’t too sweet, the food looks delicious. Loved the place
The outdoor seating is a lovely place to take in the Fells Point scenery and do some people watching while enjoying a delicious sandwich.
Super cute Place great food really 10th of staff
Quite small hotel, super convenient to Fells Point area cafes, restaurants, bars, Broadway market, etc...
Great breakfast optiobs and excellent coffee
Awesome bakery in Fells Point! Love it! Friendly service! Delicious authentic artisan breads and Italian sandwiches and pastries. Excellent hot chocolate and coffee drinks!
Ridiculously overpriced menu items.great view.
Went here on the foodie tour... the food was incredible!
Nice sandwiches and great pastry.
I ordered the tomato focaccio and it was very good along with a blueberry tart. The staff were very friendly. I’ll definitely be back.
Love this place - while the breakfast sandwiches are pricey, they are well worth it!! Pitango uses fresh ingredients and housemade bread, which is perfect for breakfast or lunch. I love their baguettes and pain au chocolat, as well. In the wintertime, their hot chocolate was perfect - not too sweet and the perfect way to warm up!
Especially great bread.
The focaccia is amazing
Very fresh little skimpy on breakfast croissant
Bit on the higher price range but the food was delicious
Their coffee isnt great, but quite good. Staff was friendly and their food is very good. At the front door on little clipboards there are make your own sandwich or salad sheets if youre not in the mood for any of their regular items. The caprese sandwich was great, wish there was a little more pepper, but all of the food tasted very fresh. Their crown jewel, however is their very scrumptious artesian bread. Watch out for high traffic hours though as it can get very crowded very quickly.
Great coffee, great sandwich, wonderful location.
Good scone, ourdoor seating was clean
I don’t usually do reviews but this occurs multiple times that’s why I want the manager to make aware of the situation. I always come to pitango for sandwiches and pastries. I have no problem with others employees except one Spanish speaking lady. She always make my sandwich and orders wrong. She’s short and rude. I regretted that I tipped her every time I go there. Otherwise I love this place.
Excellent sandwiches on excellent bread. Dont do the ala cart sandwiches, just order off the menu, you wont regret it, these people are professionals. Anything with prosciutto, but the rusticco is the platonic ideal of a sandwich
My favorite inspiring cafe place.
Perfect spot for lunch and coffee for all tastes including vegan
Service is always awesome even when they have a full house. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. Ambience reminds me of San Diegos scene.
Chai Latte was too milky and cookies were not fresh. Disappointed this time.
Food was incredibly fresh and taste was spectacular! Staff was really nice, especially the cook. Loved everything. Keep in my mind this cafe is a higher in price; however, I wasnt disappointed in any way.
Good food, price and ambience
This is a lovely place. I had an avocado sandwich that was excellent. Their basil lemonade with fresh basil leaves is to die for. The atmosphere and the view is wonderful. This is a very good corner on Fells Point.
They have amazing prosciutto! Definelty try that and the croissants
Great location. A bit pricey but reasonable staff. I had one issue here which was a while ago with a specific staff member. So thats the 4-start instead of 5-star.
Really good toast
Can I give it six stars? Delicious every time. Give me a mocha from here and I’ll be delighted for days.
Casual cafe with good coffee & great grub. Excellent bakery items too! Great meeting place with a niceambiance near the water.
2 tiny cappuccinos and a raisin croissant =$14 plus they want you to add a tip for picking it up and taking it to your table and throwing the disposable containers in the trash.Since we were consuming on the premises and Not wanting to create trash I asked for actual cups but was told we are serving everything to go! Why?So I like the view and the food but not a fan of the service or the prices.
This place is great. It started as a bakery and everything on the menu is based on awesome fresh bread which is available with almost every item. They have beer. Wine and mimosas. It is pick up at the counter with many tables available. I highly recommend.
Good location
Got the $11 avocado toast and it was made of random greens and unsalted avocados
Fabulous homemaker bread sandwiches
Always fresh food and ingredients! The staff is super helpful and informative about the food. The coffee and drinks are great and the space is super roomy. If you are in Fells and looking for a great lunch or breakfast spot this is it. The outdoor seating and being right on the water is super nice to boot.
Very nice place in Baltimore 👍 Nice location and good food 👌
Beautiful space located in a cool area of town. Coffee is strong and the sandwiches are tasty. Looks to be a good place to study as well.
