This donut lives up to its name!!! These donuts are literally as fluffy as a cloud !!! Who knew that a vegan donut could be this amazing. I brought a pack of six. Rather you go simple with a powder donut, try a more flavorful one in the maple pecan or get more adventurous with the PB&J and Salted Caramel Whiskey...you will love their flavors. Plan to arrive early as their popular flavors sell out quickly.
Cloudy Donut Co is one of my favorite places ever! As a vegan I am so happy this place exist! These are really some of the best donuts I ever had in my life! I love how they mix up with flavors each week. It keeps things fun and it makes you explore different flavors. I highly recommend this place to vegans and non vegans! The staff is super friendly! Everyone is always in good spirits and make sure you pre-order to secure your donuts! I look forward to this experience every weekend!
Since the first time Id been to cloudy donuts at their first location, Id been meaning to go back. Needless to say, I was ecstatic to find out that they started a location in Federal Hill. The current hours of operation are only from 10am - 3 pm on weekends. I went in around 1 pm and they were down to just 2 flavors although they started with 8.The poppyseed lemon was yummy. One thing I love about their donuts is how light they are. Theyre a sizable donut, but I dont feel like its too heavy after you gobble one up. I also believe that theyre vegan. The inside of the store looks much like their first store. Not much other than donuts. Very clean and the service was very courteous. That being said, I did notice that the previous customers were offered complimentary donuts for their next visit and I wasnt. Did seem a bit odd to be singled out like that.In any case, their donuts are great, Id recommend it and would definitely go back.
Unique, delectable flavors that change week to week. These donuts have a nice fluffy texture; you would never know they are vegan! Maple butter pecan and cookies and cream were my favorites of of the dozen I ordered. Pre-ordered over the phone and picked up the next day; quick and easy. If you are looking for a local Black-owned business to support; I definitely recommend trying out Cloudy Donuts!
MAN!!! When I tell you!! These donuts were EV-REE-THANG!!! Ive been looking forward to these vegan treats for weeks, and they lived up to hype tenfold!! If you didnt know they were vegan, you never would! The flavors were on point, and donut itself was one of the freshest Ive had. Soooo worth any commute. I tried:Maple butter pecan: maple flavor bursting, toasted pecans set it offSweet potato pie: sweet potato filling, in a donut...yes please. Marshmallow was the perfect touchBrown butter chocolate chip cookie: fill a vat, bring it to my house, and leave me alone for weeks. Thanks.Peanut butter cookie: all the peanut buttery goodness you can endureApple pie: sugar coating, apple pie filling, what could be bad??Pistachio: not overwhelmingly pistachio, just the right amount!
Thanks to Cloudy Donut for the complimentary donuts! While I was not at all a fan of the donuts they gave for free (I didn’t eat the whole thing of either flavor, which says a lot since I love donuts), I have tried 4 other flavors that were absolutely delicious. My advice would definitely be to try them again even if you aren’t a fan the first time.I know there are many reviews about the $4 price, but I think for a weekend splurge here and there to support a local black-owned business in the neighborhood, it’s totally worth it in my book. And let’s face it, no one second guesses a $5 coffee from a local coffee shop, and to me this is the same idea.I am not a vegan nor have any allergies, and I give huge kudos to Cloudy Donut for making these taste so good that you’d never guess they didn’t have traditional ingredients. I know it has been so awesome for people in my family with allergies to enjoy a sweet treat thats safe for them without compromising on flavor. We’ll definitely be back!
Chai spice donut was tasty, but the apple pie donut was completely WET with oil😣 I wanted to like it so bad but maybe it was just a bad one from the batch? Employees are super kind and the space is beautiful though. Will give them another try again because I don’t want to support full circle over in hampden.
Never mind their treats are vegan, Donut Alliance (also called Cloudy Donuts) makes delicious fried dough! If you’re a carnivore or subscribe to a plant based lifestyle you will certainly enjoy the flavors. The staff is always very kind, and professional. Even more, every interaction I’ve had with a team member they’ve expressed gratitude for my patronage. Every visit I plan on purchasing 3 donuts and always leave with a 1/2 dozen!
Fluffy, airy, light, soft, so damn good!!! Nice variety of selection flavors. Wouldn’t even know it’s vegan unless someone told you!
Easily my favorite donut shop. Theyre only open on Saturdays and Sundays I believe. They have different flavors each week, and they take reservations for to go orders. Perfect for a nice weekend treat.
I really want to like these donuts, but cannot unfortunately. I like to support small businesses but the donuts taste over cooked and dry. I went here two separate times with friends a month apart. Weve tried salted caramel whiskey, red velvet, cookie butter, mint chocolate chip, and strawberry. All of them have the same dry aftertaste. I am comparing the donuts to other vegan donut shops Ive visited, so its natural to want a donut taste. Also, the name Cloudy Donuts made me hope these donuts were going to be fluffy like a cloud. The texture is like a stale donut. If you try to eat these donuts after a few hours its terrible. Ive tried heating it up in the oven like I typically do with other donuts. After sitting for like 5 minutes the donuts are hard. Ive ordered vegan donuts in other shops and the donuts were good up to 3 days! Still fluffy after you reheat them. I really like the staff and love the small business idea which is why I gave 3 stars. Customer service goes a long way. Just want to give the feedback to make the donuts fluffy and soft! I could enjoy the taste better if the aftertaste wasnt so drying.
Not only are these the best doughnuts Ive ever had they just so happen to be vegan. A great local business invested in the community they serve putting out a first quality product. The maple butter pecan is my favorite!
Theyre Doughnuts are delicious! Its like youre eating a cloud. Theyre very fluffy with a punch of flavor!! You cant even tell me theyre Vegan. Definitely rolling back there!🍩🍩😍🤗
The donuts are delicious. I love the variety of weekly flavors! 🍩
The donuts here are really good but I have some complaints:The price is expensive and feels like it keeps going upThe minimum to purchase keeps changing from any amount to 2, then 4 now 6 and 12 is probably nextI asked them if they’re hiring on Instagram and they blocked me.But other than that they have good vegan donuts just wish they didn’t do that stuff and that they were opened longer
One of the only vegan spots in Baltimore. Lines around the corners every weekend and almost always sell out! Try it you will not be dissatisfied.
Id been hearing about this place for awhile so when hubby mentioned that he had been craving donuts I figured we should finally go check it out. We stopped by around 12:30 and for it being Fathers Day and a Sunday I was really surprised that the place was empty. The place almost reminds me of a pop up shop, its barely furnished and quite honestly, doesnt feel very welcoming and that includes the 2 girls behind the counter who didnt seem very happy to have to stop chatting to wait on a customer. There werent a whole lot of choices so I went with 1/2 dozen - 2 strawberry lemonade, peanut butter chocolate with banana drizzle, sugar, berry and a pride donut, the peanut butter and strawberry lemonade were my favorites. The donuts here are a bit pricey, $3 each, and I get that they are vegan but still seems a bit over the top to me. With so many other donut choices out there I dont think well be going back, I can get hot, made to order donuts with just as yummy toppings and flavors elsewhere.
Hand-crafted doughnuts that are absolutely delicious. They are only open on Sat & Sun from 10 am to 3 pm, and the selections change, so call ahead to find out what is being offered. My personal favorite is the maple, topped with luscious walnuts. Street parking only. Be prepared to wait in line outdoors, but you will be glad you did. Yummy!
Donut Alliance is currently under-construction....impressively they are still pumping out donuts for your enjoyment. We have the sweet potato, strawberry, and lemon poppyseed donut picture. We enjoyed these donuts. Positives: the are not overly sweet and they have good, subtle flavor. I wish the donut itself was a little more light and airy, it was a tad dense, but still moist and tasty. Great donut shop.
I’m not even close to being vegan and these are my favorite donuts in the city, this place is amazing.
NEVER GET RID OF THE MARGARITA DONUT OR THE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER!! donuts are bussin. Wish yall were open 7 days a week. :) Customer service is amazing as well, really nice people.
Great neighborhood donut shop. They should let you choose the type of the extra donut that they give away
Amazing donuts with amazing staff members. The donuts are so good and fluffy. If you did not know in advance that they were vegan you wouldnt be able to tell the difference. They serve a good mix and flavors that change every week. Really great place that I would highly recommend and will be going back again.
I make the trip (about an hour) to get donuts from this spot a couple times a year. It’s always great! Amazing staff!
Tdlr: Good donuts. Very sweet and a little too pricey for my taste. But they are a fantastic vegan product. If you are looking for a nice treat this is the place. I recommend the brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Bad parking situation.I got 6 donuts, 2 were part of a campaign to get influencers to post and generate some noise around their donuts. Im glad that I decided to buy donuts, because the free donuts were far from the crowd favourite, and thats being kind. I mention that I also purchased product, so you know my review will be unbiased based on the free donuts. In this review I will address the location and donuts. The location itself:horrible spot. There is no parking. Its next to Cocos and they should follow suit in having a section coned off for people to temporarily park to pick up the donuts. Unfortunately there is no such place, and you have to loop to find parking, and you better be able to street park because thats the only option. The interior is dark and gives off moody and broody vibes. I wouldnt expect donuts to come from this location and honestly if they put tables inside I wouldnt stay to eat. Right now it is take out only. The staff was fine, they were moving the line along quickly and were polite. There was a lot of foot traffic when I was there (around 12:30 on a Wednesday). I didnt have to wait long, but I also had preordered my donuts. They have a little board on the floor with the flavours of the day, a bigger sign would be nice, but they also post on FB so it wasnt a big deal for me.Donuts:Overall these donuts were good, but a little one note. And that note was sugar. Was it worth $3 a donut? No. Maybe $1.50, I get that they are vegan, but $18 for 6 donuts is a lot. (Again I only paid for 4 of them). I purchased the Maple butter pecan, Sweet potato, Pistachio, and Brown butter chocolate chip cookie. I got the chai sugar and powdered for free. Honestly I wouldnt waste my money on the chai or powdered sugar. The chai wasnt very flavourful, it was really just a sugar donut. The powdered sugar was a mixed bag from my family. I personally didnt like it because its just powdered sugar flavour, but others liked it because it showcased the donut itself more. The pistachio and pecan ones were average, the pistachio was a little lacking in pistachio flavour. The sweet potato was the most distinct, it felt like eating a slice of sweet potato pie that is heavy on the spices. It was good and I would say to get it because its fun and seasonal. Overall these donuts were sickeningly sweet. The donut itself was a great texture and flavour, but all of the toppings and glazes were way too sweet, and thats coming from someone who has a large sweet tooth. The brown butter chocolate chip cookie is the only one that is worth paying $3 for. Its very sweet, but you would expect it to be, its a donut covered in cookies. I ate a quarter of every donut, and that felt like the perfect amount. For me, they are way too large for the amount of sugar in it. I could not imagine being able to eat a whole donut.I wish this place offered a plain donut, or a cinnamon donut. Something that isnt as sweet, because the donut itself is the star of the show. I cant emphasize enough how great the mouth-feel and taste was.If you are a vegan looking for some amazing donuts, this is the place. But if you dont have dietaey restrictions, I would recommend getting a donut to split with a friend. Its a nice sweet treat, so go here when your sweet tooth has you crazing sugar
Amazing donuts. I didn’t know they were vegan donuts until my 4th trip back. A little pricey, and limited selection, but they’re delicious. Staff is always friendly too. Worth the drive.
I tried chai and maple nut from the new fall flavors and they were PERFECT!☑️ delicious flavor☑️ beautiful☑️ texture on pointI am always so afraid to try seasonal stuff because sometimes it’s...candle-y? But Cloudy Donut nailed it- the maple nut glaze has the maple flavor without being just....sugar. And the chai was, in the best way, a mature, flavorful chai taste without the sensation of chewing on a clove.
Delicious, unique flavors of donuts and a very kind staff!! Went here for the first time today and it smelled great when we walked in, the donuts were even better and the kind man that checked us out threw in a free donut!! Will definitely be coming back.
I have to say their donuts are great and are so delicious and rich for being vegan. It’s the first treat I’ve had since becoming vegan that is just like the real thing and is not disappointing. I am disappointed though as they seem to have some organization issues. I placed a preorder for this weekend and when I got there they did not have it (they think they accidentally gave it to another customer). The bummer was they sold out of some of the flavors I preorders and although they did try to offer two free donuts, what’s the point if the flavors you want aren’t available so I declined. While trying to resolve my issue another customer came in because her preorder was also wrong. Great donuts but they need a better system for preorders!
Tried 3 doughnuts, the PBJ didn’t have enough jelly, the Cherry pie was very good. I found the Brown sugar chocolate chip a very odd combination. All the doughnut bodies were ‘tough/chewy’. I guess that maybe the Vegan aspect.
Yummy Vegan Donuts! Good variety and choices.Bit expensive. Customer service varied from person to person.
The best donuts in Baltimore. And that is saying a lot because we have some great donut spots
So glad I had the chance to try them before I left. I love a good vegan donut. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Place was clean and My wife and I felt welcomed from the door.
The best donuts I have ever had in my entire life. They are only opened Friday - Sunday but it is WORTH the wait. There is no dining in so you will take them to go. I suggest ordering ahead to make sure you get to try one of these heavenly treats- they often sell out.
Totally worth the wait! Make sure to get early because lines do form, but again, totally worth it! Ill definitely be coming back!
Fresh, delicious, small-batch, vegan donuts - what more could you ask for? These sell out quickly, so be there early! Let’s support local businesses.
I’ll admit I was a little nervous to try vegan donuts, but the joke’s on me! They. Are. Delicious. So far I’ve tried the sugared chai and cookies and cream. Both were so good!! They’re light and flavorful, and my kids went nuts for them too. It’s so great to support a small, black owned, local business.
Whatever witchcraft and wizardry makes these donuts vegan is working. These are the best donuts I have ever had!
Very good flour donuts and a nice variety of flavors. Overall, I thought they were very sweet and a little light on the toppings for the price.
Sugary wonderfulness, I am a writer and I have no words for this delight.
I cannot wait to come back to Cloudy Donuts! The cookies and cream donut is hands down the best donut I have ever had! Great customer service too.
Wow, what a gem! This black-owned vegan donut shop serves up top notch donuts that put a pep in your step. Why but Dunkin when you could have amazing flavors like maple butter pecan or banana fosters?!
The best donuts around. Well worth the wait.
Highly recommend! Go check out Cloudy Donuts and try their unique flavors!
Easily the best vegan donuts I’ve ever had. They are so light and fluffy, and the flavors are all delicious. Definitely recommend!
Im upset that I just found this donut shop... Its so good!! My favorite is the Chai Donut. Super tasty, Vegan, AND Black Owned. If you love donuts and youre looking for an amazing vegan options this is the besttttt. Thank me later!
If youve never been, youre wrong. Best vegan donuts in Baltimore
Love love love this place. They were my first donuts because of my dietary restrictions. It was worth the wait 😉
SOOOOOOO Goood! They are so good and the array of flavors are really unique!
10/10 service!!! The donuts are soooo good!! A bit pricey but it’s worth it.
I actually really like the donuts at this place. 3 stars for the donuts, 2 stars off for the trash customer service.I went in person a week ago. They didnt have many choices left but the ones I got were pretty good.I decided to pre-order this time so I would have more options. I called and the person on the line and asked what was available. The person on the line told me I could find the selections on Instagram. I dont have social media so I asked if that was the only way to find out. She asked me to hold while she dealt with customers and she would get back to me. I didnt mind so I waited and a few minutes later, the call dropped. I called back two times to voicemail. I got the person again on the 3rd call. I was told I would get a call back in a few hours and I could pre-order then. I never got a call back. I really want these donuts but not badly enough to deal with this disrespect.
The best donuts in the city!
I love this place because they have great customer service and care about the community they are building with giveaways and promotions. Also their Boston cream is the best.
Went with my boyfriend recently to try a new donut place and although I am not vegan, these donuts were better than most conventional ones! There was a long line when we went, situated in a quieter part of town. It’s a small place (no dine in) undergoing renovations, but the worker was nice! Menu is small. Overall highly recommend. Support local and black owned!
Great donuts. DEFINITELY PRE-ORDER so youre not surprised when someone walks right in while youve been waiting in line. Im not sure the $4 price point is justified as profit margins on a donut are incredible. Lets just say were paying for the QUALITY, and THAT speaks for itself (great donuts).Im giving only 4-stars because someone that Pre-ordered was able to add to their order at the counter. There were patient customers waiting in line for LIMITED QUANTITY donuts, only to see someone who pre-ordered buy ADDITIONAL donuts, further depleting the LIMITED QUANTITY.Im not knocking the LIMITED QUANTITY, but if you dont want to scale your inventory to meet growing demand, dont allow customers who pre-ordered, to snatch opportunity from those waiting in line.
The best donuts ever. They were sold out of one flavor we wanted but was not disappointed with my alternative. Soft, fluffy, perfect! Wish they were open earlier.
Yummy. Never knew vegan donuts could taste so perfect. I’m hooked 😋🍩
Best donuts and most incredible customer service!! Don’t be scared away by “vegan” - these are better than any non-vegan donut I’ve had in a while! Sugar berry and chai spice were my favorites!
Perfect small business! We loved the donuts. Will definitely be by again.
My experience with this donut shop was ok on past but last visits weren’t great at all. Bad customer service and some were salty & uncooked donuts in the box!At the end of 2020 I’ve showed up to pick up my donuts at 9.30 am (pick up time I was communicated when I pre-ordered over the phone) and the doors was still closed...they said they open @ 10 am and they weren’t sure who told me that I could come earlier.Last weekend, I’ve received a message that the owner wants to give the customers appreciation donut box. The message didn’t say how many and it’s a 30 min drive for me. So I figured, I order extra ones and go pick them up. I was told it was 3 free donuts and I ordered extra 7...to make 10 total. I was told to come on Sunday @ 11am.When Sunday came, I figured, I’ll come around midday to make sure my order was ready. I came at 12.30 pm and the sales person said my order is not ready till 2 pm!!!!! I was specifically told to come at 11 am! I said let me cancel if the order is NOT ready because I’m not waiting in the car for 1.5 hrs and I live too far to go and come back. The salesperson talked to the kitchen and said they could do 1 pm.I waited in the car for 30 min and went back to the store. I was handed a box and when I checked, there were 9 donuts instead of 10!! I asked where is the 10th one, I was told that they ran out of free donuts....instead of 3 free ones I’m getting 2 ones. I was counting for the number of people I was sharing the donuts with, so I needed 10! I said let me pay for an extra....they said there is NO extras even to buy & I’m welcome to come next week to pick up a free donut they were not able to provide.I’m not a confrontational person, I left unhappy, I was sitting there for 30 min in the car waiting for the order when it should have been ready AND I was short on my order!Well, when I brought the donuts to my family, my kids were super excited. My son grabbed a sugar donut and a min later came back saying it tastes horrible!!!! I didn’t believe him, he is 8....but I tried it and it was SALTY on the top and semi-raw/uncooked in the center!!!!! I had to sugar donuts....I tried the second one and it was fine. Then I was sharing a s’mores donut with my husband and it was also uncooked in the middle.I will not be coming back to this donut shop again. It’s a shame because in past when it was a different company name it was better and at times I was able to get some at their sister restaurant Home Maid which is amazing.
Delicious vegan donuts. Fun new exciting flavors every weekend. Even non-vegan family members prefer these donuts. So close to opening if you want to have more flavor options because they sell quickly!
Quick service and good donuts! Will be back for more
Vegan and Black Owned!!Very friendly staff, Quick service and delicious donut! Couldnt ask for more.I highly suggest the brown butter chocolate chip donut *drools*
Excellent vegan donuts! Perfectly fluffy and flavorful... I will never be skinny but Ill always happy 😊
Great fluffy donuts. You can’t even tell they’re vegan! Love love!
Whatever you do, make sure to get there early because it’s guaranteed to be a line later in the day. I’d never had vegan donuts and these were really really good! I will definitely be back soon!
Everytime i go they are so kind and the donuts are always completely on point and worth every penny. The quality is awesome. Best doughnuts I’ve had vegan and non!
Bought a selection of seasonally flavored donuts and was lucky, the had some spring flavors for sampling. Banana foster and pina colada were my favorite. Great treat for a vegan!!!
These vegan doughnuts are amazing
Everyone at our table was glad to be there. I will be back with my friends. The bill was fair for the quality of food.
Delicious donuts, excellent service, unique flavors... what more could you ask for? Absolutely recommend!
Super friendly staff, quick to grab what you wanted, delicious vegan donuts. Makes me happy 😊 ☺
They are currently conducting renovations but forget all that. These vegan donuts are 😋😋😋😋 you really gotta try them out. I had the pink lemonade, strawberry and peach. Definitely go check them out. Only available on weekends but worth the wait.
Awesome donut shop with freshly made donuts daily and such delicious flavors to choose from, and they’re vegan!!
TL;DR - Fantastic spot, reviews dont lie. Recommend you arrive around opening hours if you want to get your pick!Stopped by to grab a few donuts around noon on a Sunday. The reviews are 100% accurate - this place is happening and people know it. At that point folks had already cleaned out everything but chai and powdered, so I got those. As I said - the reviews dont lie. They were phenomenal. The fact that they are vegan is just icing on the proverbial (donut) cake. This shop is definitely an early-bird-gets-the-worm type place, so keep that in mind when you plan a visit.5/5, will be back.
The donuts were delicious! I love their variety flavors!
Never going back. They posted a complimentary pick-up if you send your name number and email. I did that and they responded saying they would send a confirmation. I followed-up for three days and never received my confirmation. The worst part is, everytime I sent the message on IG it was read/seen or loved. The audacity!!! I had been a devoted customer, but never intend on spending my money there again.
These donuts are unreal. Genuinely some of the best I’ve had and definitely the best in Baltimore.
