I got windows around 11 years ago and the tint inside started to change where we couldnt see out of then anymore. Weve asked for a repair but it came at a high cost. I spent approximately 5 months trying to get the new panes and I still havent received them. The communication is poor at times and there isnt any follow up for something customers deems important. The saving grace has been the installation team actively helped me when the process of getting new window panes halted. The previous window pane manufacturer went out of business and the labor for the new ones were free but its been a long road to get new ones and have them installed. There just needs to be better communication and follow up to customers and everything would be great. Our experience hasnt been great.

Homefix did a wonderful job with our window installation. The team was very professional quick and responsive. We had most of our windows replaced. It only took a couple of months from the time we signed the contract until the time our windows came in. The crew that came in were very quick, efficient, and very professional. They were able to replace all of the windows the same day. We did have one issue with one of the sach that did not have the grid in it, however, Homefix quickly ordered a new sach to replace it. The quality and look of the windows are excellent. I definitely recommend for window fix.

They put the roof on our home in July 2008 before we bought it. We had some issues with the roof and after some early miscommunication they were kind enough to stand behind their work and offer a partial refund, as we used another contractor to repair the roof. We would consider them for future work, as they were very responsive and persistent in making sure we were satisfied.

Had a very horrible experience yesterday. Andre, who orginally made contact with us, was wonderful and gets FIVE STARS. We thought an expert would be coming to the house to measure and give estimates on the work we need done and also social distance. Andre assured us they would stay outside and could measure and do everything outside to give us a quote. The regional sales manager showed up without his wallet, business card, tape measure. He also had no clue about the social distancing and that we would not be going into the home. He brought no tape measure and was not the person to give a quote. He gave several different emails as well. Just because of that very negative exp with a sales person we will not be using this company or getting a quote. We were assured by phone and by Andre this could be done following Covid CDC guidelines. I feel we just got a sales person that was a waste of time. He was not even good at selling.

Homefix and the salesman (John Bangs) were great to work with. We had them replace our roof, shutters, front entry and screen door. The roof was removed and replaced in one day. The entry, screen door and shutters were replaced in about 5 hours. That took longer than expected because the threshold was rotted-out and totally replaced without additional charges. The front door instillation crew were meticulous in every way. The quality of the product and instillation was exceptional. I would recommend Homefix to anyone that is looking for a quality product and workmanship!

Booked est via door to door solicit thinking was company that did my neighbors roof. I confirmed later they misled me and hadnt! Wasted 2 1/2 hours of my time with **extremely** high pressure salesman. Whole act, insisted I should trust them, even 2 fake phone calls to HQ to see what we can do on price. LMAO. Started at $30K+ for a roof price and because I was special I got them down to $15K, which was still over priced. Either had to sign contract/financing that day or no deal because he claimed he had to drive over an hour back to my house to sign contract. WHAT? No deal! He left me with NO estimate and I still smell the cheap cologne in my kitchen. Just absolutely horrible. Dont waste your time. Total scam.

They have people cold calling from a call center. They are not “local” as they could not pronounce my town. Sad. Sorry you has to resort to this tactic to get work.

We replaced double-hung with casement replacement windows, big window hinged on one side with crank to open. Ours came with double lock top and bottom, and magnetic seals like the refrigerator. We have had them for 3 mos. Drafts in the house have reduced dramatically when shut. Occasionally on warm winter days the higher opening window allows for greater air circulation to refresh air in house. We get direct evening sunlight through windows, so far it has just been pleasant bright light, no cooking effect when it hits the skin and our shutters have been cool to touch.The installation team was phenomenal. They worked easily with other contractors onsite prioritizing when to do windows in common areas. They were totally professional about impact on my house, using floor coverings, cleaning after themselves and making sure I was up to code from other renovations affecting sliding door replacements. They made sure the product was what we had asked for. The finished product was absolutely astounding to look at.We are very happy with the products we purchased and professional installation treatment we received.

The sales rep gave presentation including same day deal (like everyone else). After quote was written, I said I wouldnt sign up on the spot and I would review with my husband (not because I needed to by the way). I told him I would let him know. The rep then asked to speak with my husband repeatedly and explained how waiting would cost his company money. The customer service response to this review was excellent and hopefully other people have better experiences going forward.

Everyone from Mike H. the sales rep, Josh the project manager to the crew were fantastic. The crew arrived on time and worked so hard!! I have have dogs and a toddler and they made sure to clean up everything for the safety of our family. The end result is fantastic!! Love the roof. I love working with honest people that do what they say they are going to do. Thank you everyone for this piece of mind for many years to come!!

Professional, honest, very competent. Complete roofing finished some repair work around the flashing, which was resulting in some leakage. They quickly found the spots, also conducted a thorough inspection of the roof. Their pricing is very fair and competitive, they take pride in their work, and they communicate what is being done every step of the way. When I need the roof replaced in the coming years, Ill be using Homefix Custom Remodeling.

Absolutely refused to take no for an answer. Solicitor for this company showed up at my door. Did not present any credentials. When asked for a flyer or more details regarding their company, the salesman continued to press to come in to conduct a free estimate. If I see them on the block again, they will be asking the police department if they need a new roof.

Homefix offered us a great deal on custom-fitted windows and a sliding door. Over the course of several weeks, the windows and door spaces were measured, and the custom built units assembled and shipped. On installation day, a team of Homefix employees showed up with all the pieces, removed the old windows and door, and installed the new ones, finishing and sealing them in place. Since then, weve had a massive reduction in drafts in the house. Sound from traffic and airplanes has dropped significantly, too. We were so happy with it that we added attic insulation to the deal; the financing and contract work were painless and arranged to allow us to pursue our own financing while still ensuring that the work was done on schedule. Everyone weve dealt with has been professional, capable, and friendly, and questions were quickly answered. The entire process was painless and we are very happy with the results. Thank you to everyone at the HCR team that helped us out.

I was given a quote for windows for $112/mo for 10 years, which I agreed to. Then they send me the loan papers for $139/mo for 12 years. Glad I read through the loan instead of just clicking on sign here everywhere. They didnt think they should say anything about not honoring their price and just hoped I wouldnt notice until I was locked in to the higher rates. For me, the difference would have been over $6,000!!!!!!!!!! that they hoped I would have missed. I will not reach out to these guys for a price on anything as they obviously will not stand behind it. Who knows how many other people they managed to screw over like this.To Homefixs response: There are no options. I agreed to something. You tried to pull a fast one. I dont, and never will, trust you. I will not give you a dollar or waste my time calling back.Its not a matter of meeting my needs. Its a matter of offering one thing and then trying to charge way more hoping I wouldnt read the paperwork. And all of your options were to pay more than what was agreed to by both parties. Your company is a scam, or at least you tried your hardest to justify scamming me.

We recently had the siding on our home in Columbia, MD replaced by Homefix. I believe we received a good price for very good quality siding product. The team that performed the work were very diligent in their work and did a great job over 3-4 days. They did a good job of cleaning up afterward as well. In general, were very pleased with the results.

When Homefix was at our door, I didnt expect I would be going with them when I needed a new roof. However, I was impressed by their products and their warranty. We ended up getting them to replace our roof and install new attic insulation. Their installers were punctual, completed the job quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. They even completed some detail work in repainting that I expected I would have to do. Now we have a more efficient home with a roof thats guaranteed for 50 years!

The sale representative was courteous and knowledgeable about all the products they offer. All scheduled appointments were timely and employees were professional, friendly and consciences about bring mud or dirt into the house. I could be more please with the product and the staff.

These people came to my mothers home offering to give a free estimate on windows and roof. There is a sign on the door that says no soliciting and yet they knocked on the door anyway. I told him we weren’t interested. He kept insisting and I told him no we weren’t interested. Then on Friday we receive a call to a non published phone number(so how did they get the number) saying they wanted to confirm Saturday’s appointment. I didn’t return the call at first because I didn’t know who they were and I knew we didn’t have any appointments scheduled for Saturday. After they called several more times I called back to see what they wanted and how did they get that number that is not published. I was told I spoke with Steve and set up an appointment for Saturday to come back. I told them absolutely not. That didn’t happen. I told him we weren’t interested. I asked how did they get that number. He said you or someone in the house must have given it. That absolutely didn’t happen. I don’t know what they did to get that number. But I am calling the state on Monday this company’s business practices need to be investigate. This is ridiculous to me. Steve or who ever it was that knocked on the door never should have knocked in the first place since there is a sign on the door. I would never do business with this company now even if I was ready to replace the windows. I don’t like how this company does business.

The crew was here when they said they would be. They covered the ground, bushes, and deck, etc. around the house before they began, making their clean-up quick and very good. At one point, a piece of the roof came through the living room ceiling. The crew chief said they would have the drywall guy here in the afternoon. Later, he said that the drywall guy got hung up and would arrive at 7:30 the next day. It was Saturday and although he didnt show up until 8, he was here and worked for about 6 hours. The man was fantastic at his craft. The ceiling looks like nothing happened. He managed to keep the wall paper...AND the boarder! I still have to re-apply the boarder, but it looks like it was never touched. I am SO pleased! The roof looks great, too!

Professional service, on time, responsive to requests, management was flexible with scheduling around our busy work schedule. The window guys and roof guys were polite. They cleaned up every place they went and by the end of each day there was not a nail in sight. But best of all the workmanship and products were really top notch. This was one of the best decisions I have made and the whole experience was excellent.

The products used are very good. The workmanship was very good and I recommend Homefix to anyone needing a new or replacement roof. The only drawback I saw was the cleanup. I encountered many roofing nails and pieces of roofing materials on the ground since project was completed. It seemed like the crew was anxious to leave. I had the roof replaced long ago and the clean up was awesome then. This crew m’s cleanup performance I would give a grade of C.

From the moment of 1st contact in early January 2015, by Torry, on the canvasing team, he helped me carry a large purchase into the house, I have had an excellent experience with this company. We made an estimate appointment for the following week and met our Sales Manager, John. He educated us about the history, products and services that Homefix can and did provide. He made our selection process so very easy, then he and the owner of the company left no stone unturned to secure the financing that we requested. Our 16 windows and sliding glass door were made to order and the installation was done in early March. Henry, Jorge and Carlos showed up on one of the coldest days and were determined that everything be done to our satisfaction before they left. They were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. It took the entire day, but when they left around 7pm, everything was perfect! The very best part happened yesterday, when I received my new power bill- it went down $100! When we are ready to do more improvements on our home- Homefix will definitely be my first call!

I needed someone to come and replace the roof on my rental property. After taking several interviews my wife and I finally met a sales rep from Homefix. This guy was the most professional guy out all the other companies. They came out on time and gave me an excellent price. I didnt feel pressured and I absolutely love my new roof!! Everyone was very nice and helpful and everything looks wonderful. I love the new windows and after clearing up issues with my home owners association, was able to get the roof replaced. If you live in the VOU, just make sure you are getting the product and color required by the covenant and youll be good to go. Minor issue with team having to come back to do some additional clean up of nails, but overall a very good job done by all.

Theyre over priced. I had aluminium siding done to my house and shed. The price was originally high then they came out to begin the work and found other things to add to the job, saying it was not included in with the original price. They were suppose to get back to me with the added price but never did until after they completed the work then they wanted to add an additional $6000. (This was for softfit) OUTRAGEOUS!!! I had to negotiate it down to a more reasonable price... Also, they didnt have enough material to complete the job saying they didnt have the shed on the contract. So I had to contact the sales person to prove the shed was to be included...They have poor communication skills among their organization. It was like one person would say one thing but the other workers would not be informed.They dont return calls until you go over their head then they harass/ pressure you for financial commitments. Though the final product looks beautiful it was too stressful getting there.I would NOT recommend them.

We just had all of our windows replaced by Homefix Custom Remodeling. Everyone we talked to was so helpful and friendly. We were working with a city grant program and had to have some extra paperwork completed, but that didnt phase them. They were more willing to do the extra work. The installers were great. We would recommend them to anyone.

While the siding that was installed is very good, their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. Pretty much every promise that they ever made to us was broken. The last was for compensation due to all the other broken promises. They said that I would receive it within 5-7 business days, and still nothing more than 2 weeks later. I have gotten to the point where I would never trust anything this company has to say to me, and will NEVER use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Window replacements:Rude, impatient salesperson with the hard sell. After insisting on talking to me (I was unavailable) and not my wife about the window prices, he became belligerent and wouldn’t let it go. My wife is perfectly capable of making the decision without me. Also refused to show credentials. In 2019, this is frankly not acceptable. My wife is owed an apology. We’re waiting.

They were extremely fast putting up our new siding. They were nearly done with most work in a single day and it looks great! Would recommend to everyone looking to improve their home as we have gotten windows and siding from them.

I would recommend this company but with some hesitation. Homefix installed, my windows, all my siding, new front door and shutters. Ive had to call them out several times because of siding coming loose or it was cut to short during installation. Theyve kept their word on this and always have come back to fix my problem. I also had 8 sets of shutters installed. After roughly 8 years after installing them, they faded from Navy Blue to a Light Blue. Called Homefix, they sent someone out to look at them and to my surprise, I was told the shutters were not under warranty. Really? They purchased them for my house, I didnt. But yet they would not stand behind them. I was very pissed off and still to this day, it bothers me.

Everyone was extremely nice and helpful throughout this experience. This was the best customer service that I have ever had in my life. I love my windows and sliding glass door. My home is much warmer and the windows look great.

Wow. All of the positive reviews of this company must be paid. All of the reviewers have incredibly similar wording and all review the same companies. Or maybe its just by chance that they all used the same moving company and rented from the same property management company. What a joke. They got my number somehow and call at least twice a day. No way would I ever do business with them. Highly dishonest.

As a disclosure, Ive had no work done by HCR. We scheduled and then canceled an estimate for windows. We explained at the time of cancellation that we had already chosen a contractor and were no longer in need for windows. I love that I can no longer feel the wind coming in my windows. The new ones are energy efficient (EnergyStar) and quiet the outside noise. The employees were all friendly and professional and I love the 50 year guarantee. The entire process was fast and painless.

Though the staff I encountered were pleasant and respectful of my time, they were not completely honest and transparent with their responses.I got the same showcase home pitch that others have commented on, and even with such, the price was the highest of 5 estimates Id received. None of my paperwork includes evidence of this pitch/agreement or the requirements of such; so Im not sure this is not just a tactic/gimmick of the salesperson. Also, the contract didnt include a detail of the estimate (measurements, volume of insulation to be used, allowances for vaulted ceilings, caveats for scuttle attic, etc).I chose to go with them because I really didnt want a subcontractor (including suppliers or distributors) performing my work. Each of the other companies were clear when they relied on contractors. I was assured by the sales person that it would be a HomeFix employee, and would have been none the wiser had it not snowed the day of my scheduled install and the contractor called to cancel the appointment.I subsequently received a couple variations of the relationships, and though I eventually got an explanation that made sense, it shouldnt have taken all of that. Honesty right out of the gate would have been most appreciated. Consumers deserve an initial complete and truthful response to inquiries to aid them in their decision process, not pieces of the truth in an attempt to gain the business.The lack of professionalism, transparency and half truths tilt the rating of my overall experience negatively, so I didnt get to focus on the quality of the work. Ive had no problems thus far with the insulation installed in my attic.

I am very happy with the work and the quality of the door HCR installed. The guys made the effort to properly seal around the door. It was good to hear your guy speak with experience about working the stone walls in the basements up here.

We set up an appointment for 11am, they called the night before to confirm. Yes we will be home, we were told they could be up to 30minutes late and need 45 minutes. Still fine, expect to see them the next day. 11am comes and goes. As does 11:30am. 2 minutes before noon we get a call. They made a mistake imputing our info and they mixed up the times. I find this extremely unprofessional.

We requested a estimate for a new roof and was very pleased with the price and presentation from Kyle in Brandon Florida.

While the work that was done replacing our windows was done very well, the experience leading up to it was extremely agrivating and annoying. The incessant phone calls because I had to keep rescheduling so my husband was home, were enough to tell them I was no longer interested, but they said they could beat the price from the other window company we received a quote from and on top of that save 10% with a military discount. I finally caved. The representative arrived and did his sales pitch for 3 hours on just one style of window, the most expensive window. We were given no other options. I saw the binder with 500 pages of info and I told him, We dont need to hear all this. Can we speed it up? He insisted it was important, it wasnt. We told him the price the other window company quoted us and we werent going above that. He started with a quote of $21,000 for 12 windows. We were quoted $5500 by another company. I know these things are way marked up and theres lots of wiggle room. We told him no, fifty times after coming at us with just a notch knocked off that price. We also mentioned the 10% military and %10 lower price than the other company and he never heard of it so that was a bust. I walked out of the room and let my husband handle it because I was livid. I just wanted him out of our house. I almost picked up his stuff and put it outside on the porch. He was borderline creepy. He wouldnt listen to what we wanted until, after another hour he got down to our price with a different window which looks identical to the higher priced one except for the locks. I just wanted it to be over. This was the most horrible experience with a salesman Ive ever had. The only reason I gave in was because I didnt want all that time wasted from my life for nothing. I just received a call from the sales rep asking me to leave a comment about our experience. No thanks! Looking back, I shouldve gone with our original company. I wouldve gotten at least three hours of my life back. Why any company would think that someone would want to sit through 4 hours of hearing about a damn window is beyond me. You need to change your sales tactics and perhaps youll get more clients. I would never put someone I know through this horrible experience so, there will be no recommendations from me.

Had new windows installed ---very complicated job but Homefix Custom Remodeling did a great job. They look gorgeous and the installers were clean and efficient. Very pleased!

We had a door installed by HCR and had a great experience. The quality of the door is wonderful. The install team arrived on time and was very professional to deal with. The workmanship of the install was great and the team made the process a very easy one as they kept us informed of everything along the way. Good work, OVERLY EXPENSIVE! Please be advised that HCR will rip you off with the back door prices. Roof replacement went from 15k to 26k after work was done. They will play games and tell you that everything can be covered with financing like thats gonna help lower the cost.I will never deal with this company again. Good work, but I know they got over on me. Never again.Do not trust this company. Please be aware of the back door prices and fees. CROOKS

The people at HCR have some bad customer service, if you are looking to work with this company, DONT. The sales representative, Marco Rometo, came to give a quote and kept on pressing on the higher price plan. We eventually worked something out that would work but needed sometime to think about it. They offered a limited deal if we signed the contract today, of course we wanted a few hours to think it over. An hour later we got a call from representative from HCR and he asked us about what would make us close the offer today. We asked for a written copy of the plan and price to make sure everyone were on the same page. However, they provided nothing of the sort, then after talking about the price, they raised the price by $6k because of volume bonus on the same day. So much for the limited deal. If their customer service was better I would have done business with them. I RECOMMEND NOT WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

It was cool for what it was worth But Im sorry i had to quit too cold to be knocking on people doors and you dont even get paid b per hour. You can go weeks or a month without making money. Nah i pass

We had a good experience until the job was done. Had roof, windows, and siding done along with rain gutters. Well, gutters leak into the walls! Dont drain properly. Had the window people come back - at least they showed- they said it was the gutter problem. In over a year, have not been able to get the gutter people come out and fix problem. No idea what issues are in the walls now. Home Fix will call to try to get us to buy doors or anything else but no one ever calls back to address our problem. Very disapointed after the money we spent.

I was called several times before my appointment. During the appointment, Brett was very polite, curtious and he listened to what I was looking to have done. He told me all the wonderful aspects of your company thoroughly. He looked at the house carefully and gave me the three quotes I requested. As far as Im concerned he gets an Aplus!

We have had a lot of home improvement done over the last 5 years. This experience is on our A list. We met HCR at a home show and out of the box they were warm and friendly. We desperately needed a new front door. We were contacted often along the way to give us a status report on the door, contacted for a date for installation, given 24 hour notice of arrival, contacted right after workmen left to check how things went, and several calls after on satisfaction. From our point of contact and our salesman thru the men who installed the door we were impressed with their professionalism, their patience, and their willingness to satisfy. The workmen came early, got right to work, cleaned up after themselves, informed us along the way, and explained everything at the end very patiently. Definitely a great choice. I would recommend them to anyone and will use them again. Thanks Steve!

Update: less then a year. The quartz that HCR installed has crack. And Im dreading in dealing with this company again. I would rather stab myself in the face ...... Terrible just Terrible. Wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy. Worst quality materials. sink already has stain, on stainless and it has only been installed for a month or so. The Installers broke my cabinets, scratched my dish washer, left my dishwasher hookup leaking. and didnt install the dishwasher bracket. And they rutted up my grass because they couldnt drive straight. also they were going to install a dented sink. then left for 6 hours to get a new sink. It was a nightmare! But they did gave a few 100$ but most of that was to cover the faucet i bought and installed myself since the brought the wrong one and was going to leave me with out water for 3 days. Ooo they also cut a piece of my countertop too long. so i had someone else come in and do it right. So do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache.

I have buyers remorse. This is why I avoid sales people from coming to my home. The sales person made me feel he was looking out for my best interest and a $14,000 roof job in which I agreed to and then cancelled in a timely manner turned into a $18,000 job. I was promised a check to pay the minimum payments on my loan through March 2019. No check has been received first payment is due next early July. I learned that I was put on an Interest only loan for the first few months without my approval. I did not see or sign a final contract as of today 6/19/2018. I was told I had a 50 year warranty to learn only 25. I do not deem this as proper business practices. I will be sharing my experiences with Google below, BBB and Angies List. This my second time doing business with this company and my first experience was pleasant. I feel totally bamboozled this time around.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I called this company this afternoon after receiving a door hanger. I spoke with Tanisha, an appointment setter. She tried to insist that both homeowners be present to look at samples and answer any questions we have. I told her I live in a townhouse community, where we have no choice other than what we have now, so there was no need to look at different colors or styles. I made it clear that we cannot both be present, as one of us has to run our business, and if they were a company trying to twist my arm into making a decision on the spot that we would not be a good fit, she said they arent, and she finally agreed to make the appointment with me. We made an appointment for Monday 3/28/16 at 1pm. After I made the appointment I decided to do some research about the company online, and see almost nothing but 1 star reviews and a lot of very pissed off people. So I called back to cancel my appointment because I dont feel comfortable having them over and I dont want to waste my time or theirs, and the kid I spoke with after being on hold several minutes said theres no appointment made for me Monday at 1pm. I told him I spoke with Tanisha a little earlier, and he gave a wishy-washy, yeah, I dont think Tanisha made an appointment... Im glad I called back to cancel this appointment, rather than sit around and waste my afternoon waiting on this company to not show up! I cant believe they were going to let me take time out of my day for nothing. This company is BAD.

Homefix has not performed work left materials in the yard not done anything, including returning calls or being remotely responsive.Addendem: was contacted by phone from homefix. Was promised on Thursday 6/14 That we would be seeing some positive action on Monday 6/18. Seems if that was just a stall tactic as we have heard NOTHING from them at all.

We couldnt be happier with the new roof HCR installed. It is sturdy, architecturally sound, and fully insured with a lifetime warranty. We did our research post installation and realized how many benefits there were in having one of their roofs! The customer service was phenomenal. The project manager answered all our phone calls and e-mails. Was very attentive on the job site. Explained everything to us in our kitchen as well. They emphasized that customer service is one of their main attractions. I definitely vouch for that statement. I recommend HCR for your roofing needs. They offer financing so it is affordable

High pressure sales, shady, and incredibly overpriced. These people are simply preying on uninformed consumers and the elderly. After 1.5 hours of an used car sales man type pitch we were quoted 16k. But if we didnt sign right then, the next day it would be 32k. Local roofers were half the price and not nearly as gimmicky.

I never had the chance to work with this company because after incessant calling from them I finally made an appointment for an estimate when I was ready to replace my windows. I was asked then if I was the ‘decision-maker’ and I said yes, I am the home owner. I received a call the day of the appointment asking to verify my address, etc. then I was asked if I was the sole homeowner and I said no I own it with my spouse but I’m making the decision which I already explained when I set up the appointment. The guy apologized and said sorry but we do ask all of the owners to be there. I find this annoying and insulting and have my doubts that if a man was calling that they would insist his wife also be present during the appointment. I took the time out of my schedule to setup this appointment and apparently the scheduler was so busy trying to get an appointment booked that he didn’t bother to go over their highly questionable ‘policy’. They lost my business and everyone that I can tell about this experience.

The manager worked diligently with me and helped me get affordable rates in order to get the job done. The workers and service were great and the administration.

The windows were installed quickly and they have made a world of difference in the temperature in the house. I recommend.

I requested a quote for a small siding job and was told that it would take about 45 minutes. What should have taken 45 minutes, ended up being three hours and the salesman, Michael H., didnt want to leave my home unless I signed on. As a single woman, I literally felt intimidated in my own home. Two, he seemed to know how much square feet of siding would be needed, yet not once did I see him pull out a tape measure to get an accurate number. In addition to the sales tactics which amounted to bullying, I was told that I was lucky to have a sales person visit my home because of his very busy schedule. Also, when I mentioned that I was not interested in financing, he proceeded to tell me that plenty of customers finance and he showed me documents with their names, agreeing to financing. So there was also a disregard for their personal information. Based on the sales tactics, I would not deal with this company even if the work was free of charge. They were that dishonest.

Not the best experience. Dave came out to give me an estimate on a roof replacement. First he needed to use the bathroom, so i let him but didnt wash his hands (rule of thumb: Never trust a man that doesnt wash his hands). Initially over the phone, They did say that the estimate would take 45 min, which was longer than that due to this guys novice sales pitch and downplayed insertions of why i should i should buy that very second and not wait any longer. Needless to say, they are overpriced and at the end of it all felt like i just talked to a car dealer. Word of advice for the company, if you really are THE best company in the business, i shouldnt have to be sold on a product that speaks for itself, are you a company or charity case? Would not recommend this company at all.

If i could give 0 stars i would!Michael Anthony of Homfix Custom Remodeling tried to scam my husband (an active duty soldier) and me (his chronically ill wife) into purchasing a new roof based on lies and badgering. He based his price $17500 on the 25 square roof. He lied and said we was a partner (1 of 6) in the company. He promised to manipulate the finance company to keep our payments at $150 (which he had no power to do). We repeatedly asked him to leave our home – I was in the middle of a lupus flare and was about to pass out). I explicitly told him I was feeling pressure and badgered. He didn’t leave. The 45-minute sales pitch turned into 4 hours. When I had our roof measured and came back with a much smaller number than 25 squares and found out that he is not even listed on the company website – he tried to back track, that he said 23.5 squares, that the pitch of our roof made the number much higher than I thought. He was an investor ect. I told him that I wanted the same price per square he was offering about $700 but for the actual size of our roof. I was having an actual roofer measure our roof and when I got the size in writing he would honor it or I would let the world know he was trying to scam us. He snarled at me that the deal was off, and the new price would be $24,000 and I could put that in writing. He ended with “And please don’t call my company”. Of course, then when he tried calling my husband’s and my cellphones we didn’t answer which lead to another person in the company calling both cellphones and leaving a message because their “representative” called them and I should call back A.S.A.P. Of course, I didn’t. I wouldn’t buy a new roof from them if it was only a $1. Michael Anthony and the whole company is dishonest. How low does a sales rep have to be to try and take advantage of a U.S. military member and his chronically ill wife? Do not let these people into your home!

All I wanted was a new roof, yet I ended up with multiple headaches! I decided to go with HCR regarding a new roof on a townhome (not too big of a project). I paid HCRs higher price because I know a little about construction and I felt that the product quality was a lot better than the regular things you buy at Home Depot. I also thought that I would be paying for a better experience and professionalism. Boy was I wrong!! The problems began when the roof was installed. The workers threw the shingles and discarded waste off of my three story TH roof without any necessary tubing or tarps to protect my siding, brick, and/or windows. The shingles bounced off my house scratching, marking, and denting my siding; scratched three windows; ripped six out of eight window screens; broke my front porch light; scratched and dented my new aluminum wrapped bump-out; and tore my patio furniture covers. That same day, an HCR representative came by and attempted to make me sign completion paperwork, even though I was told by the salesman to not sign anything until I am completely satisfied. Thank goodness, I did not sign it!! I soon discovered that the company does not get paid until that form is signed. I expressed my frustration regarding the damage to the representative. A “cleaning crew” came two times but both were absolutely pointless! After they left on both occasions, I immediately got a call to sign the completion paperwork. I again refused. I made a list and sent pictures to three separate representatives that all called asking me to sign the paperwork so that they could get paid. They wanted to see the damage that I was referring to since I refused to sign it. HCR decided to pay to replace my front porch light and furniture covers. I cleaned and paid out of pocket to have my TH power washed. They also offered to replace the three scratched windows and all of the torn screens. I was very nervous to let them touch my house again, however, they would not take no for an answer nor would they take any money off of the balance. In replacing the screens, I was told that they would send them to a screen shop and I would get new screens to fit each window. Instead of them actually doing this, they attempted to do it themselves and 5 out of the 8 screens were done incorrectly, had tears in them, were loose, and were just plain unacceptable. They came back, picked them up, and told me the same story of sending them out. Again, this did not happen when they returned them the second time and only two of the screens were bad. At this point, I asked to speak with and received a call from a CEO who said that they were human, mistakes happen, and that this was a learning experience. I advised that I was not happy being the guinea pig and never received an apology. I also received a call from a representative from the Laurel office who talked down to me and was so upset and unprofessional that he had to have a female Executive Assistant talk to me to de-escalate the situation. She agreed with me and pretended to understand my frustrations; unlike the previous 6 reps that I spoke with. This all leads me to the windows. They came, measured them, ordered them, and then came to install them. When they were installing them, it was discovered that they ordered the wrong ones. I had to wait another 2-3 weeks to order the correct windows. Again, another problem. After the new windows were installed, everything was finally completed (3 ½ MONTHS LATER!!!!) All for a small roof. Overall, this company is very unprofessional and it is worrisome that they have been around for 30+ years and still make these types of rookie mistakes. The moto on their trucks, We earn your trust with every job, should definitely be reconsidered. I would not recommend this company for anything.

My wife and I are extremely happy with the windows that were installed for our home. We were happy with how quick the windows were installed. We will definitely recommend our friends and family to HCR.

First they send someone who is a salesman, not a contractor, so you need to have another appointment scheduled to have your windows officially measured. The salesman I had used classic used car sales tactics. They of course were looking for a showcase home in the area and if I agreed to be that home they would give a huge discount. That was the first pressure tactic, that if I didnt agree right away that they would find another showcase home to give the deal to. Second, with the quoted price I was essentially guaranteed I would qualify for the energy efficient tax credit, which included a window upgrade to make them energy efficient enough. Little did I know there would be no tax credit, which to this day I am furious about. Third, the financing offered was poorly explained, and included a deferred first payment. Despite the deferred payment the interest began the moment you sign the contract, per diem, which I was unaware of (read the fine print I guess). After all the measurements and being in contract I was called and informed that the agreed windows couldnt be made large enough, and I would need ANOTHER upgrade to be able to make them to the size I needed, which of course was more $$. I really do like the windows, but I feel like a sucker for falling for the oldest tactics in the book. I have not clue if it was a good deal or not, but pressure was the number one tactic and that in itself is enough to stay away.

Read the 1 star reviews for the real deal.Ive never hired HCR, however, they have people go out and canvas neighborhoods, knocking on doors in orange vests saying things like oh, we,re working in your neighborhood and you might see our trucks....by the way, do you want an estimate?Since then, Ive put up a no soliciting sign, which yesterdays door knocker du jour fails to heed, because these people have been brainwashed into thinking theyre not soliciting since theyre offering a free estimate. However, the ultimate goal is to sell me siding, windows, or whatever.Yesterday, one of these individuals came by my house and I literally told him to beat it. I guess he got angered because the next day I received no less than 10 calls (from progressively changing phone numbers as I blocked them) about a supposed siding estimate I set up, until I finally answered and told them to stop calling.

No soliciting signs really do mean no soliciting.This companys rep thought he was slick by coming to our door to let us know that one of our neighbors was getting work done by them and to apologize for the upcoming noise. And, for the troubles of the noise, they had a free gift for us in the form of an estimate for new windows or roof.1. I do not see any neighbor that is getting work done by them2. An estimate is NOT a free gift and actually costs me money in the form of time (more valuable than money to me)3. This was nothing more than solicitation for sales of new windows or roofingThis company needs to learn to respect neighborhoods that have no soliciting signs out front AND especially houses that go out of their way to place a sign at the front door that states NO SOLICITING in big letters.Once I am ready for new windows or roof, I will find the companies I trust and it sure will not be HCR.

I do not recommend Homefix Custom Remodeling company as they are terrible in completing a job. After 10 months, they have not yet completed replacing five windows in our condo. they disappear for along time and when we call them they have to come back for remeasure..they keep ordering the wrong window, keep sending their tech to do new measurement only to order the wrong ones again. The whole thing started Winter of last year and now we are in Fall. Their tech guys are in-experienced and arent even trained on how to do correct measurements hence the windows dont fit over and over and have to be reordered and remade. on one of their last visits they removed our dining room window to realize they have the wrong size made again and sure enough had to come back to remeasure. our dining room window from inside is gone for the last 2 plus months and not only it looks ugly and we see all the inside the wall junk but also we lose air. They claimed that they didnt have our phone numbers to contact us then they found my cell number in the contract, what the *. I would not recommend this company as they are not responsible and do not care about getting the job done and do it right. A few of our friends have redone all their windows with another vendor within 2 months time frame and we are still waiting for the 5th window to be measured and made right.they have their Marketing Director, Mike Mola, director of sales, Blake Zach, involved but I dont trust those titles and names as we have not seen much progress on the job even with their involvement. do not waste your time, dont listen to their sales pitch even if their director of sales or marketing come to your house to show your their product as that all was a huge scam in my opinion. surely didnt have a good experience with this company, Homefix Custom Remodeling. after they finish the 5th window, we wont call them again for any new job.
