Great as far as big book store chains go! Lacks the atmosphere of smaller book stores and doesnt sell used books. Fantastic variety of other things besides books; kids toys, pop culture merchandise, music, even tarot cards!

Great in store selection and service but the online store which I mainly use is terrible. Orders take way to long if you order a whole series and you receive no updates about the order until it ships. I often get books delivered out of order. If you are buying single books the service is pretty fast but no not order whole series if you want them shipped in a timely fashion

Great place filled with a ton of things - and a really rich selection of manga. And, just saying, even if this place was terrible (which it absolutely was not) Id still give it points for that cool elevator - one killer centerpiece that strangely fits well with the many shelves and, well- books.

This place goes beyond being a bookstore. my daughter has a blast looking at all the toys that they offer there as well. I have also bought several used movies for really cheap. besides getting the newest and latest versions of the books you can also get used books for extremely cheap and they always have some sort of a sale.

Great bookstore but the Cafe has lost a little bit. The cookies are not very good and the coffee is overpriced. The use to have a variety of pastry but no more.

Pricey but great Cafe

I called three times to confirm what types of used books this company buys because I live one hour away. I loaded my car up with the appropriate books and the guy looked at half of what I brought and said, we are not interested. Waste of gas and time. Not to mention the tiny cart they allowed me to use to bring the books back out to my car had the tire get stuck on their uneven cracked walkway. The cart tipped and all of my books fell off into the snow and water. Super frustrating and now all of my books are ruined.

Unsurprisingly, I could, per usual, not find what I was looking for, but equally unsurprisingly, the awesome staff helped me out with a smile and excellent customer service. :)

Tons of things here besides books. Check it out. Youll think its worth the trip!

Overall they’re a great place to wonder around and look at books. I love getting drinks from joes muggs and reading in the cafe area. They have a wide variety of books and other merchandise. I have the membership card and it saves me some money, but it depends. I never really know how much Ill save on a certain item until i get to the register. The major reason why this doesnt have 5 stars is because everything is pretty expensive. Unless you’re in the bargain section (which sometimes has good deals, but it’s a hit or miss on the quality of the books there), most books are $20-30 throughout the store. I usually go in there to window shop and then buy the books i want online or elsewhere, even though i have the membership. I would probably spend a lot more money at BAM if the books werent so expensive. All in all though, I enjoy visiting and have always had great experiences there. It’s a great place to spend a quiet afternoon or shop for a gift or get a drink (i recommend the raspberry mocha frappe).

They are very organized and the books are easy to find and if you cant figure out where to find a book, the staff is very kind and will help you with anything! They always have good sales! My favorite bookstore!

If I could give this place less than one star I would. Came here with my son for his 2nd birthday to pick out some dinos, since he loves dinos. He was having fun as a two year old would....an employee came up and told me people were complaining and giving looks because my son was roaring. Basically insinuating us to leave. Come to find out it was the manager and there were literally no other people on the first floor at the time. Unbelievably rude. This place doesnt allow fun or joy. I will gladly never go back. Horrible interaction with a miserable, unhappy, joyless human being. Dont sell toys if you dont want kids to literally be kids.

BIG parking lot, and big, yet warm store- immediately I smelled good coffee and met a gal to help me find a large print book or two for Mom. She motioned to another gal helper that asked, Stairs or elevator? and we walked upstairs sharing books and stuff. We chatted another 5 or 10 minutes. Efficient check-out area. Twas a great 20-minute experience.

They have so much Harry Potter merch!! A little pricey but you cant beat the selection.

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say there probably isnt a million books, but theres enough to make me happy.The best part is the fandom merch. Gotta rep my Golden Girls!10/10, would highly recommend going. Ive found lots of great gifts there.

I had never been to one until a few daya ago. I got all of the books I was looking for, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The Cafe had really good coffee. I do not have one near me but will be shopping there again online in the future. It reminded me of all the good things I miss from Borders and Walden books.

I still really miss Borders, but Books-A-Million is a nice store. While I dont think they have quite as good of a selection as Borders did, I still enjoy browsing around. My husband and I will sometimes come here to kill time when we have nothing else to do. They have a very nice cafe, where we will occasionally lounge while enjoying a hot beverage. Sadly, brick and mortar book stores are becoming more and more rare these days thanks to Amazon and E-books, so its nice that places like this still do exist. Hopefully, this location will be able to remain open for many years to come.

Good amount of metaphysical reads. Everything from books to crystals, pendulums, dreamcatcher and so on. Cafe open as well for a nice hot drink while you read through a magazine.

Everything I love in one store! From back stock comics, to t-shirts, collectibles and books, to toys and trinkets. I can easily spend an hour just browsing the two floor inventory. Always a must stop and shop when visiting the Bangor area. A little bit of everything the whole family can enjoy!

Wide selection of the latest books. The layout can be a little confusing at first, but its simple once you walk around a bit. Coffee shop is perfectly situated to take advantage of the sunlight and the central space between floors gives the place an epic feeling.

Had what my girl was looking for and found a great toy for my daughter.

One of the few places in Bangor thats open past 9pm. ...Heck, its one of the few open past 6pm. Its a decent bookstore with periodicals (magazines) near their in-house coffee shop. Toys for differing ages are towards the back, collectibles like FunkoPOPs and action figures are upstairs with comics, movies, and boardgames. Surprising amounts of Christian literature, but the employees dont hit you over the head with it anymore, literally or figuratively.
