Ive had my storage unit for about a year now and yes, Ive been late with payments before, but they forgot to mention that theyll threaten to take your things and close your account if youre more than a week late on your bill. This is something I asked about before I even set up the unit and I was told I had roughly 2-3 months before my unit would be compromised. They dont seem to give the correct information and as for clean, I hate going into my unit and seeing fruit flies and other insects roaming the halls of the storage units. I think it could be better, especially with communication. I understand not everyone or everything is perfect, but it could be better.

Please do not contact this location. I called them and ordered a trailer hitch, and the wiring kit for a vehicle on April 28, 2021. Since then, I have never received a call back, and numerous attempts to reach them by phone result only in reaching the National Customer service number. I was also given the Store Managers (Heidis) phone number by her and made several attempts to reach someone there that way. As of today, June 15, 2021, I have not gotten a single call back from the store or the Manager. I have now spent a total of 80+ minutes on hold or explaining the situation to people at their national call center, and still do not have a resolution.

We rented two “pods” to empty out a part of our house. I was told once taken away they’d call me when the paperwork was done to tell me when they’d arrive in SoMe. I waited a week — no word. Called yesterday and waited 25” on hold before hanging up. Today, I’ve called 3 consecutive times for a total of 1h45” — on hold except for a brief time I spoke to a younger guy for about 30 seconds who told me he’d get me to the right person, only to spend another 25” before I hung up. Seriously... this is how business is done in 2021????

Clean buildings trucks are kept up nicelyEmployees are helpful and I really like using them for all my storage and moving needs. Sometimes I just tend the pickup truck because its nice to drive around in a new truck. I like the Chevy Silverado

Had to wait 15 minutes on the phone to talk to anybody and then ended up hanging up on me I wasnt rude disrespectful in any manner

I find it to be extremely petty when I go 1.5 miles over what was expected and then get charged an extra $1 by the overweight employee with ZERO personality. Really, U-haul? Customers actually APPRECIATE it when you notify them that you went 1.5 miles over, but were not going to worry about that. Trust me, Ive had fortunate experiences with other businesses and I have become a repeat customer. PS: at least try to get your employees to not be dull ___holes in the performance of their tasks.

This location has storage space for rent

Had an appointment to have a hitch installed and drove almost an hour to get to this location. I was told they had just started an installation and would need an hour and a half before they could take my car! No apology, no concern for wasting my time. The only thing they said was that they were late getting to work, which is not my problem! Im going elsewhere.

Some employees very rude needs better employees

Waited 30 minutes at Summer Street in Bangir to rent a truck. Multiple people including manager away doing a hitch for a customer that apparently wasnt waiting. Super irritating that when asked they cant be bothered to help. Manager Heidi finally decided to come up without even an apology for waiting to the 6 of us that were waiting. U-haul on Odlin Rd Bangor much much better

Let me extend my rental when unexpected problems came up with no hassles.

I would highly recommend any of the other locations in Bangor, Brewer or the surrounding area before I recommended the Summer st. Location. Not only was the customer service poor the language I heard while standing in line was rude and uneducated. And speaking of standing in line I stood there for 20mins with no employees in the store? Only someone’s 9-10 year old behind the counter playing on a phone.. maybe the time to take a smoke break is not when you are under staffed with more than one customer in line.Again any other location I highly recommend.

I had an issue with an incident that took place with my rental. The staff today was more than helpful. I was waited on by the general manager herself and found her to be a huge help. That being said when I rented the vehical I was sold insurance I was told would cover me 100% if any issue arises just to find out I will have an unexpected 150 deductible to pay in full tomorrow when I return the truck because 100% does not apply to the specific rental I have. I feel like i was sold something with dishonesty and am not impressed. No paperwork given or contract shown stated such, so the hidden charges were not at all previously disclosed in anyway shape or form. You cant sign a contract you dont get, see, or read. This is a dirty way to do business.

We needed propane on Holiday weekend at 7pm and these guys were there. They quickly, and at a good price, filled my 30 pound tanks.

Like most organizations in Maine, the poeple at this location are unaplogetically prejudice, ignorant, and incompetant. I will not be renting from uhaul again.

Tried to rent a van for moving purposes. We went to the facility and when we tried to rent a van for three days we were told that they couldnt do that. So we said thats ok then we would have it back the next day. The employee Jennifer Hughs said she didnt believe us and said she would not rwnt to us. She was rude and completely unprofessional. I have never seen customer service that bad. Absolutely do not recommend this outlet for rental purposes

Great people, and open 7 days a week

Checked on moving costs. They have mileage charges and limitations. Never suggested we discuss insurance and they allowed a non-handicapped person to park in their one handicapped spot while I had to make my way across their lot on crutches. I made a comment and they avoided the topic. We will NOT be using them for my sons move.

False AdvertisementWhen they say on your reservation that you will be charged about $100.00, what they actually mean is they will charge you $350.00 at the door (hidden fees) and charge you a massive cancellation fee if you say nevermind to such a gross overcharge. We will NEVER be using UHaul again. We do not put up with being cheated and scammed.

Easy and I got the job done no problem. Price per mile was a bit much, however made the mmve extremely easy.

Never in my life, have I had a company call the wrong number and when they were told this, accuse me of knowing the person and tell her to call, and that they cant remove my phone number from the account?I even stated I am new to the area and just got this number, needless to say he insisted he couldnt remove my number. There goes any future business for uhaul on my part, and a special place on the block list.

Some of the uhaul places have nightmare reviews - Ive used this one 5+ times with no issues. Parking and dropoff are a litle tricky as space is limited.

Very negative experience with after hours pickup. We waited over 2 hours and had to call customer service/the store manager several times and no one was able to help us. This was late at night and kept us up into the morning hours which made moving much more difficult the next day. We are disappointed in this service and will not be using uhaul again.
