My favorite hardware store for sure! Manager was super helpful. Came in looking for paint and got great advice on which type to use.

I have never had such poor service in a hardware store. Asked the old guy working to find an item that their website said was in store. A total of 4 times I nicely asked him to help. Each time he started helping another person. In between he was on his phone and chatting with another employee. Buy the time they figured out it was out back; both employees started helping another person. This was 10:00 on 10/9/2020. Never been treated so poorly in any hardware store and Ace is usually excellent e everywhere else:

Normally a big fan. Not so this afternoon. Went in and watched while the staff actively served other patrons while referring me to a rack and subsequently ignoring me.Normally not an issue but most of the items I needed were shoplifting-locked to the wall. Seriously.Useless.They were displeased when I asked why they were not helpful. “Snippy” would be the way I would describe the response I received from the cashier.I’ve lived in town for almost 20 years so far they have now made the list of 2 of the places with questionable service standardsI only add this because I watched 3 patrons come in and be actively helped while I stared at a locked display wall.It’s already priced higher than the competitive locations in Seekonk. I work very hard to shop local and have been willing to pay to keep things local.Yeah. They have to work harder with less. But my problem wasn’t a cost or staffing problem. It’s a training issue.That’s what disappoints me so about posting this review.

Extremely unhelpful in the paint section and never seem to have the Ben Moore base paint I need. Use Hannas Color Center in Pawtucket if you’re looking for expertise and great customer service- worth the drive. I’ve tried this store several times and get the same unhelpful attitude every time.

Cheapest bird seed around usually and the local birds around here LOVE their suet.

Purchased new Traegar grill from here online as someone was to deliver and install. I never received a call to schedule install so after calling store 3 days in a row finally reached someone and they told me they cant deliver it. They were not even going to tell me I had to keep calling and say before pick up product myself. Then contacted ace hardware customer care department and they did not care at all. Ace Hardware does not care about it customers and their service promise isnt worth the ground you walk on. Do NOT Buy from this Company.

Always has what I need might be a little higher pricing but close by and quality products, staff is knowledgeable and helpful

I LOVE Ace Hardware. If your tired of big box SOP like, use our app to locate item B or being forced to buy a case of 12 when you only need 1, then you need to shop local hardware stores! This location has a knowledgeable, friendly staff to help you find exactly what you need and they carry at least 1 of almost EVERYTHING. My go to project store.

I placed a curbside pickup order that was supposed to be ready in 1 day. It was not ready in time and as I was working 2 jobs and going to grad school I did not have time to pick up my order, so I assumed I would not be charged. They did charge me, and fraudulently claimed that I did pick up my order when I didnt. Not okay.

I always buy from here instead of Home Depot or Lowes. I like to support the local business, and George has been a fantastic owner for years. Most helpful guy I know!

Disappointed - having lived in Barrington many years I had a poor experience today. Tried to exchange a product that was damaged but the store wouldnt take it back because it was opened. I couldnt see the damage in the closed package. I was really shocked by their lack of understanding and its really made me reconsider my patronage.
