EDIT TO OWNERS RESPONSE: I did call on Tuesday April 20th to check availability and was informed by the associate that you had 2 flatbed trailers available for daily rental, he didnt mention seasonal availability nor was it mentioned in online catalog where I checked pricing. I also know for a fact that one of the trailers was available when I was there as the gentleman renting the mini excavator had his own trailer and didnt need to use the flatbed for the reserved rental. I also though it was in very poor taste when I walked back into your lobby and I overhead verbatim why would we rent out the trailer for the day for $50 when we can rent it for $300 with the equipment...Went there to rent an equipment trailer after checking pricing online and calling the week before to check availability. Arrived at 8 a.m. to rent trailer and they informed me that the trailer rentals are seasonal with limited availability(which isnt listed in their online catalog at all) and they wouldnt rent just the trailer (even though there were 2 available) because they can make more money renting it out with the equipment. Definitely wont be depending on then for any rentals in the future.

Consistently impressed by this place. I have purchased parts and tractor accessories from them, including a lawn sweeper. Their price on the sweeper was the same as HD, but the Cedar Street price came with a guy loading a mostly-assembled sweeper in the truck for me, instead of me picking a box myself.Ive also done a couple of rentals, equipment is good and clean, prices *seem* comparable to places in Rochester until you realize that Cedar Street doesnt nickel-and-dime you... Whenever an issue is close they always seem to favor the customer.I also have had equipment serviced by them. Quick turnaround and fantastic service on that, with really reasonable pricing. Seriously... I had something scraped and cleaned by them as part of a service, and it looks like I could eat off it. By about your fourth time in theyre going to recognize you and even start to remember your equipment.If youre wondering why tractor companies and consumer guides say customers who buy lawn equipment from small dealers have better satisfaction than those who buy from big box stores, this place is a great example of why. Ive sent two people there for tractor purchases and will continue to do so. What an asset to our area.

Tried to replace pull string yesterday. We ruined the recoil spring. Went the Cedar St Rentals and they had the fully built retro starter. Even put the logo on the new one. Said it would have cost me more to fix old then buy the new one. I didnt even purchase the machine from them. Parts technician has been there since they opened, very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Ive found if you need your equipment fixed in a pinch, Cedar Strett Rentals are there for you. I have been here a few times. I generally do jot write reviews, but Guy and another gentleman at the parts desk are top notch people. GREAT customer service. I called to check the price of a Cub Cadet lawn mower. I mentioned Id be in later to buy it and they were kind enough to assemble it for me at no cost. The young man at the counter discussed the warranty and the fact that if it needed any service I could just reach out to them directly as a licensed dealer and they would take care of it. After we purchased it he attempted to help load it in our vehicle which unfortunately did not fit. To my surprise, without hesitation he offered to load it in the back of his own personal vehicle and drop it off at my home. The level of service we received is far beyond what I expected and far beyond what any of the big box stores could possibly offer.

Update 2020: had my mower serviced. Same great service. Recommend highly.Guy and his sons exemplify why you should always by local. Following significant price shopping, Cedar Street sold me a new zero turn mower because of their integrity. No upselling while giving honest answers why there was no need to upgrade certain things which would enhance their profits. Good product at a fair price plus great people equals a very satisfied customer.

Last year, September 2016 I bought the Yanmar 324 tractor with loader and backhoe. They were most helpful throughout the entire process. They were always friendly and helpful no matter how many times I called and asked questions as we were waiting for the tractor to ship. This spring (April 2017, I had them pick up the tractor and perform routine maintenance on it and also install the Cruise Control. I also had them weld on a couple of hooks on the bucket. Once again, I cannot say enough about how helpful and kind they have been to me. Also, their parts department is second to none. I did look at other tractors (and I wont mention the brands, but their colors are well advertised) but the value and quality of manufacture are what sold me. The 324 has proven to be quite the workhorse for me and Ive affectionately labeled it my Big Red. Its got real guts and performs flawlessly.
